Gates of Vienna News Feed 8/11/2018

A mechanic at an airport in Seattle commandeered a turboprop plane and took off with it. The Air Force scrambled fighter jets to pursue the plane, which eventually crashed on a small island in Puget Sound. After his death the employee was identified as Richard Russell. The incident had no connection with terrorism.

In other news, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini ordered the designations “Parent 1” and “Parent 2” to be removed from birth certificates and replaced with the more traditional “mother” and “father”.

EU Ready to Buckle to Italy as it Backs Down on Austerity to Allow £7bn Spending

THE European Union is ready to buckle under intense pressure from Italy on demands from austerity that will allow the debt-ridden country to spend £7 billion more than EU rules stipulate.

It is finally prepared to give the Italian Government some financial leeway in the escalating row.

In return, the EU wants a commitment from Italy to reduce its structural deficit, which is adjusted for economic growth fluctuations.

Italy’s populist coalition wants enough flexibility to introduce a flat tax and a citizen’s income in next year’s budget without running foul of EU budget restrictions.

Remarkable Wage Rises Seen in All Sectors Across Hungary

Average wages in Hungary rose by more than 10 percent year-on-year in May, it has been revealed.

Based on the latest figures released by Hungary’s Central Statistics Office (KSH), the highest increases are attributed to the state during that period. In several areas, the increase is at least 15 percent. What’s more, salaries increased in spite of the rising number of employees.

In the healthcare sector, gross average monthly wages increased from 270 to 323 thousand HUF in just one year. This 19.4 percent rise is unprecedented in the health system.

Apart from the rise of the minimum wage and the guaranteed wage minimum, all workers experienced a 10 percent increase on average. Nevertheless, the numbers vary by sector.

Authorities Identify Man Who Stole Horizon Air Plane From Seattle Airport and Crashed it Into an Island

BREAKING: Authorities identify man who stole Horizon Air plane from Seattle airport and crashed it into an island.

The Horizon Air employee who commandeered an empty turboprop passenger plane at Seattle’s main airport Friday night, flying it over Puget Sound before crashing it into a small island, has been identified as Richard Russell, authorities said.

A Horizon Air employee described as “suicidal” commandeered an empty turboprop passenger plane at Seattle’s main airport Friday night and roared low over Puget Sound — with a pair of Air Force F-15s in pursuit — before crashing it into a small island, authorities said.

The FBI’s Seattle field office on Friday said early signs do not point toward terrorism. Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Troyer described the suspect as an unnamed suicidal 29-year-old man from the county “doing stunts in the air” before the crash.

The man, referred to as “Rich” and “Richard” by air traffic controllers in tense recordings, said he was “just a broken guy” as authorities tried to divert the 76-seat Bombardier Q400 away from populated areas.

He took off with the stolen aircraft at about 8 p.m. Friday from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and was an employee of Horizon Air, the Alaska Air Group said in a statement…

California Wildfires Caused by Radical Environmentalists, Not Climate Change

The United States Forest Service was originally founded to protect forests from the ravages of fire to preserve it for future generations. That thinking was abandoned in favor of the flawed “no-use movement,” or the “rewilding” theory, which blames humans for the “degradation of our planet.” “Rewilding the land can repair damage we’ve caused and reconnect us to the natural world,” National Geographic claims.

For decades, traditional forest management was scientific and successful — that is until ideological, preservationist zealots wormed their way into government and began the 40-year overhaul of sound federal forest management through abuse of the Endangered Species Act and the no-use movement.

Traditional forest management had simple guidelines: thin the forest when it becomes too difficult to walk through; too many trees in the woods will compete with one another, because the best trees will grow at a slower rate.

The U.S. Forest Service used to be a profitable federal agency, McClintock said. “Up until the mid-1970s, we managed our National Forests according to well-established and time-tested forest management practices.”

“But 40 years ago, we replaced these sound management practices with what can only be described as a doctrine of benign neglect,” McClintock said. “Ponderous, Byzantine laws and regulations administered by a growing cadre of ideological zealots in our land management agencies promised to “save the environment.” The advocates of this doctrine have dominated our law, our policies, our courts and our federal agencies ever since.”

Today, only privately managed forests are maintained through the traditional forest management practices: thinning, cutting, clearing, prescribed burns, and the disposal of the resulting woody waste.

How the Press Lies About Itself

Ever notice how the press smushes stuff together? If you say something about illegal immigration, like how you don’t want it, the media say you’re against immigration in general, which is to say “brown people,” which is to say, aha, you have been exposed for what you are: a racist, a bad person, probably a Republican, and quite possibly a World Wrestling Entertainment habitué. All this for pointing out something no more complicated than that when you decide to have laws, they ought to be obeyed, and when they’re not obeyed, they should be enforced. You want to say no, no, no, it’s only illegal immigration I want to have a look at, but they blur the lines, pretending you’re saying something you’re not, something broader than that, so you can be vilified and ridiculed for the stupid, racist thing you’re not saying.

In the same way, you can be very much in favor of the free press but against dishonest, agenda-driven reporting — i.e., “fake news.” In each set, one of these things — legal immigration and the free press — is not like the other one — illegal immigration and fake news — and that’s true no matter how much somebody scruple-challenged might bleat otherwise in order to gain purchase on a fraudulent, dishonest position.

Make no mistake: all this smushing together of things does not flow from sloppiness or lack of discipline — it is purposeful. It’s how they get away with flat-out lying about things, smearing those they disagree with and whom, therefore, they wish to invalidate, and it’s why claiming there is no such thing as fake news is itself fake news. How’s that for a hall of mirrors?

Monsanto Slammed With $289 Million Verdict in Historic ‘Roundup’ Cancer Lawsuit

A San Francisco Jury awarded $289 million in damages to a former school groundskeeper, Dewayne Johnson, who said Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller gave him terminal cancer. The award consists of $40 million in compensatory damages and $250 million in punitive damages.

Johnson’s trial was fast-tracked due to the severe state of his non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph system he says was triggered by Roundup and Ranger Pro, a similar glyphosate herbicide that he applied up to 30 times per year. His doctors didn’t think he’d live to live to see the verdict.

Johnson testified that he had been involved in two accidents during his work in which he was doused with the product, the first of which happened in 2012. Two years later, the 46-year-old father of two was diagnosed with lymphoma — which has covered as much as 80% of his body in lesions…

As the New York Times noted last year, new internal emails, among other things, reveal ethical objections from former employees to “ghost writing” research studies that were pawned off as ‘independent’ analyses.

The documents underscore the lengths to which the agrochemical company goes to protect its image. Documents show that Henry I. Miller, an academic and a vocal proponent of genetically modified crops, asked Monsanto to draft an article for him that largely mirrored one that appeared under his name on Forbes’s website in 2015. Mr. Miller could not be reached for comment.

A similar issue appeared in academic research. An academic involved in writing research funded by Monsanto, John Acquavella, a former Monsanto employee, appeared to express discomfort with the process, writing in a 2015 email to a Monsanto executive, “I can’t be part of deceptive authorship on a presentation or publication.” He also said of the way the company was trying to present the authorship: “We call that ghost writing and it is unethical.”

The newly disclosed emails also reveal internal discussions which cast some doubt over whether internal scientists actually believed in the company’s external messaging that Roundup was, in fact, safe.

“If somebody came to me and said they wanted to test Roundup I know how I would react — with serious concern.”

And, here’s more:

The documents also show that a debate outside Monsanto about the relative safety of glyphosate and Roundup, which contains other chemicals, was also taking place within the company.

In a 2002 email, a Monsanto executive said, “What I’ve been hearing from you is that this continues to be the case with these studies — Glyphosate is O.K. but the formulated product (and thus the surfactant) does the damage.”

In a 2003 email, a different Monsanto executive tells others, “You cannot say that Roundup is not a carcinogen … we have not done the necessary testing on the formulation to make that statement.”

Not surprisingly, Monsanto’s lawyers have argued that the comments above have simply been taken out of context…

NFL Players, Media Rip President Trump for Tweet Criticizing Anthem Protests

Millionaire NFL players are once again furious that President Trump has spoken out against the protests of players who either kneel, or raise a fist during the playing of the national anthem.

Even as the NFL’s ratings continue to crash, several members of the Miami Dolphins took a knee during the national anthem, and one raised a militant black power fist during this week’s pre-season game. Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills and receiver Albert Wilson took a knee during the anthem, while defensive end Robert Quinn raised his fist as the nation’s theme played.

The league quickly put out a statement insisting that “all player and non-player personnel on the field at that time are expected to stand,” but clearly the players don’t agree and the rule seems totally toothless.

Meanwhile, President Trump spoke out about the renewed NFL protests delivering two tweets saying:

[Comment: If these clowns continue to urinate on patriotic American viewers the NFL is sure to tank even more. Then they will be kneeling in the unemployment line.]

Prosecutors: Son of Prominent Imam Was Training Children to Commit School Shootings

The son of a prominent Brooklyn-based imam was training children at a New Mexico compound to commit schools shootings, prosecutors said in court documents released Wednesday.

Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 39, was training 11 children at a compound north of Taos, New Mexico, according to The Associated Press. Authorities raided the compound Friday and arrested Wahhaj, two of his siblings and two other men during a search for Wahhaj’s son, who had been abducted from Georgia late in 2017.

A 3-year-old boy was found buried near the compound, but has not been identified. Wahhaj’s son was not among the children rescued.

Residents in Amalia, New Mexico, near the Colorado border, had complained for months about the squalid conditions of the makeshift compound before Friday’s raid, according to news reports. Authorities recovered multiple firearms as well as an AR-15.

Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe said Tuesday that authorities initially did not have enough evidence to search the compound. Wahhaj and his son were not spotted on the property. A breakthrough came last week when authorities received a tip that a starving child might be living at the compound.

Wahhaj’s father, also named Siraj, is a controversial cleric with close ties to Muslim rights groups like the Islamic Circle of North American, the Muslim American Society and the Center for American Islamic Relations. The elder Wahhaj was also an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing case. He was a character witness for Omar Abdel Rahman, the so-called “Blind Sheikh.”

A spokesman for the imam told CNN that he is “devastated” that the remains of the child at the compound could be his grandson.

Public University Pays Radical 89-Yr-Old Linguist Who Supports Hezbollah $750k to Teach Politics

A public university is paying a radical 89-year-old linguist hundreds of thousands of dollars to teach his famously leftist brand of politics, according to records obtained by Judicial after a months-long battle with the taxpayer-funded institution.

Judicial Watch launched an investigation after the University of Arizona (UA), located in Tucson with an enrollment of about 40,000, announced that it hired Noam Chomsky to teach a general education course for undergraduates titled “What is Politics? In the announcement UA describes Chomsky as a “world-renowned linguist and one of the “most cited scholars in modern history.

The reality is that Chomsky is an extreme leftwing propagandist who defends communist regimes—including those in Vietnam and Cuba—and openly supports the anti-Israel and anti-U.S. terrorist organization Hezbollah. In fact, Chomsky met with Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon even though the State Department lists the group as a terrorist organization and the elderly professor has publicly supported the militant group’s right to be armed.

At the time Chomsky was a professor of linguistics at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a private institution that can hire whoever it wants with no public accountability. However, UA is funded with taxpayer dollars and must comply with public-records laws meant to keep government transparent. It still took UA four months to provide Judicial Watch with the records of Chomsky’s outrageous deal.

Seventy-Two Percent of Americans Say it’s ‘Essential’ For US to be World Space Exploration Leader

Seventy-two percent of U.S. adults say it is “essential” for the U.S. to lead the world in space exploration, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted from March 27 to April 9.

Space exploration is on many Americans’ minds after President Donald Trump proposed creating a sixth branch of the military called the Space Force in March. Vice President Mike Pence delivered a speech Thursday outlining a Pentagon report about how Space Force can become reality.

‘The Elite’ Freaks Out When Trump Puts Americans First

Of all Donald Trump’s many sins against the Great Church of the Transnational Leftist Establishment, his greatest may be his stubborn refusal to subordinate the needs of the normal citizens of the United States to the dogmas of our alleged betters. He rejects the secular civic religion of our betters, one that urges the sacrifice of regular folk’s interests on the altar of their self-regard and cheesy self-interest.

Trump is a heretic, a blasphemer, and it’s no surprise they want to burn him at the stake.

Horrors!

He demands that the Europeans fund their own defense at levels that come to about half of what America spends!

Oh well, I never!

He refuses to hobble the American economy as a tribute to the false god of the weird weather religion and he dumped the Paris Climate Grift!

Vapors!

He rejects the notion that free trade is a one-way street into America’s markets and thinks that we ought to get the same deal on stuff we sell to outsiders as they get selling to us.

The bizarre part is that Trump isn’t even seeking an advantage over these foreigners who have been getting over on us. He seeks only reciprocity in our relations, and as a result the foreign policy elite is collectively wetting itself.

The mostly unspoken truth — which I speak loudly and profanely in my upcoming book Militant Normals: How Regular Americans Are Rebelling Against the Elite to Reclaim Our Democracy — is that the postwar international order which arose in the wake of our victory in World War II was based upon America doing the heavy lifting.

US College Rejects Student Applicant for Following Alex Jones on Twitter

Shear says universities are attempting to reshape society by discriminating against students based on political ideologies and by marginalizing conservative viewpoints. Using a Public Records Request to Learn More About Brett Kavanaugh

In the case of Mr. Kavanaugh, The Times requested records under Maryland’s public records law from Chevy Chase Section 5, where the nominee’s wife, Ashley, serves as town manager.

We sought email records involving Judge Kavanaugh and communications that referenced hot-button topics. We believed that the records, if they existed, could provide a unique and personalized view into the nominee. We worked with the town to minimize the time and cost involved in responding to our request. (The Associated Press submitted its own request, and The Times and others have filed separate requests with the National Archives pertaining to Mr. Kavanaugh.)

Ultimately, our request yielded 85 pages of emails, none of which provided any substantive insights into Mr. Kavanaugh’s judicial philosophy. Instead, the records were largely what you would expect from a town manager’s email account — mundane dispatches about town business, from snow removals to local newsletters. Not surprisingly, a number of people, neighbors and strangers alike, sent Ashley Kavanaugh congratulations on her husband’s nomination.

In other words, it was hardly front-page news.

And yet, we recognized before submitting the request that this was a possible outcome. We often file public records requests that yield no newsworthy information.

But when it comes to reporting on a potential Supreme Court justice, we had to try.

[That’s why they’re called The New York Slimes]

White Republican Michigan Voters Chose a Black Guy

White Republican voters chose a black conservative over a white billionaire in Michigan. How can that be? Democrat Andre Carson of the Congressional Black Caucus said the Tea Party (conservatives and Republicans) is racist and wants to see blacks “hanging on a tree.”

Folks, as a black Tea Party activist since 2008, I can tell you this is the evil slander of salt-of-the-earth patriotic white voters I have been fighting. Black conservative John James won Michigan’s U.S. Senate Republican primary because he shares the values of most Americans. James boldly expresses his desire to help Trump Make America Great Again. Voters chose James because of the content of his character rather than the color of his skin, fulfilling the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

John James is a combat veteran endorsed by President Trump. But wait a minute. According to fake news media and Democrats, Trump hates blacks. That’s another hate-generating evil lie promoted by the American left.

Dare Speak the Truth and Arrogant UK Authorities Want Your Flesh

The release on bail of Tommy Robinson, the man who was swiftly arrested, sentenced and jailed for 13 months, for reporting on rape gangs which had been freely operating for many years across the UK, see my article from June, bought a very welcome sigh of relief for the many people who had been supporting his cause against an unfair trial and imprisonment.

However, the exposure of the totalitarian manner in which he was treated, whilst reporting on a case which had already been reported in the public domain, and now the apparent consequences of him being locked in solitary confinement in the second prison to where he was moved, HMP Onley Prison, Rugby, appears to reveal a cruelty which seems to outweigh the consequences of his misdemeanour and his conviction. What exactly is going on?

In the following days of his arrest; after the deed had been done, and the reporting restrictions lifted; not only the mainstream media, but legal professionals from ever corner of the globe appeared to come out of the woodwork and take great pleasure and a deep sense of superiority in pointing out and justifying the ‘real’ reasons why Robinson had been locked up.

Justice, they believed, was rightly being served up upon a man who they considered a ‘trouble maker’ a ‘bigot’, a ‘thug’ a ‘nazi’ and a whole list of abbreviated adjectives which you would normally attach to a crook who had possibly raped and passed around your daughter. There was indignation towards a man, who albeit slightly irresponsible at times that displayed a hatred which surpassed normal rationality. Why was that? [Tommy Robinson bailed after Court of Appeal win]

If you have been watching the shift from mutually trusting and respecting another’s views to the outright violence and intolerance now being displayed by mainly liberal minded people towards those who see things differently, you will notice that there is very little tolerance being shown towards their fellow human beings, even if that person is presenting some very obvious facts.

Now they live under the premise that if they are offended by your difference of opinion, you are often sued, arrested and made to suffer unmercifully.

Aside from Tommy Robinson who voluntarily reports primarily on Islam, the UK is awash with ordinary people, who living upon the principles of their own conscience and conviction, and are not physically hurting anyone else, are being dragged often intentionally into law cases because the accuser’s feelings have been offended.

Consider just a few of these cases:…

The same controversy, however, did not erupt in Britain when 140,000 Muslims prayed in Birmingham’s Small Heath Park, in an event organized by the Green Lane Mosque to mark the end of Ramadan.

France is debating whether or not to block prayer on the street. “They will not have prayers on the street, we will prevent street praying” Interior Minister Gerard Collomb announced.

‘Hyperactive French Russophiles’ Study Lands Soros-Backed DisinfoLab in Twitter Data Abuse Scandal

Once a leader in philosophy and fashion, France has now been reduced to falling for tricks recycled from US con artists by Brussels-based grifters, with a little help from Twitter’s ‘mea culpa’ cash and even Uncle George Soros.

It all began when EU DisinfoLab, a non-governmental organization based in Belgium, published a report on Wednesday about how some 55,000 “hyperactive” twitter accounts spread the news of the Benalla affair, and accused a portion of those accounts of being “Russophiles.”

Within a day, French media were printing headlines screaming about “Russian bots,” prompting the NGO to issue a “clarification” of their findings. Not all of the accounts were “Russophiles,” the outfit said, and the report said nothing about “bots” — but the French public was already outraged.

Politicians Jean-Luc Melenchon of La France Insoumise and Marine Le Pen from the National Rally (NR) —previously known as Le Front National— who both ended up on the NGO’s list, tweeted derisively about the report, with Melenchon calling the outfit “stupid spooks.”

[Comment: It seems what’s going on in France is this: it has been claimed that Russian meddling is in part behind the criticisms of French President Macron. I find that sort of claim is tiresome.]

The Pitiful Roots of Anti-Americanism

Anti-Americanism is anti-Semitism’s first cousin, but with an important difference. A person afflicted with this terrible condition is also a crank and a bore, but because anti-Americanism is so widespread both in America and abroad, it is all too easy for the sufferers never to realize they are cranks.

After all, anti-Americanism is the norm among the globalist elites. In his book Anti-Americanism, Jean-François Revel writes that he had “formed [his] opinion about the United States through the filter of the European press, which means my judgment was unfavorable.” But Revel wants us to understand that he has learned that anti-Americanism is more than simply a widespread climate of opinion. Instead, he labels it a “psychopathology” and an “obsession.”

For Revel, the source of this malady is obvious. America has supplanted Europe, and the elites of Europe resent it. Europe once dominated the world. It no longer does, and the European elites blame America instead of themselves.

UK: Grieving Son Reveals His Family’s Desperate Mission to Rescue Mother From Their Controlling Father — Only for Him to Lie in Wait and Kill Her and Their Daughter Days Later

A devastated man whose mother and sister were murdered by his father in a car park has revealed how he never realised how dangerous his father was.

Lance Hart, 57, murdered Claire Hart, 50, and Charlotte Hart, 19, in the car park of The Castle Leisure Centre in Spalding, Lincolnshire in July 2016.

Claire had suffered years of abuse from her husband and her two sons had finally had enough and plotted to get her out.

Her sons, Luke and Ryan, hired a van and drove to get her and their sister to take them to a new rental home on a Friday afternoon.

The following Tuesday, Lance Hart waited for his wife of 26-years in a car park before shooting her, his daughter and himself dead…

Luke Hart and brother Ryan, both university educated engineers, have since learned about coercive control — a pattern of threats and intimidation which is not physical — and realised their family was abused, he told GMB.

Why the EU Won’t Comply With Trump

Two of the main points of contention between the European Union and President Trump are trade and military spending. Scrap away the rhetoric presented in the mainstream media, most of it reflexively anti-Trump, the fact is that what the president is demanding is nothing but what’s fair and reasonable. As regards trade, Europe currently has significantly more barriers to our exports than America does to theirs. As for military spending on NATO, it is universally recognized that the United States carries the bulk of defending Europe…

As wealthy as Europe may be, its budgets are stretch tight to support the welfare state it has created for itself since the end of WWII. Already, the Mediterranean countries of the EU are drowning in debt. The percent of debt to the GDP for Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Spain are 132, 180, 130, and 99 percent, respectively. And since these countries are yoked to the Euro, there’s no way out for them.

Dentist, 44, Is Locked up for Three Days With Daughter, Four, In Dubai Jail for Having a Glass of Wine on Emirates Flight — and Now Could be Detained for a Year

A mother has told of her terrifying ordeal of being locked up in a filthy Dubai jail for three days with her four-year-old daughter for drinking a glass of wine on a flight from London.

Ellie Holman, 44, was arrested after being asked by an immigration official at Dubai International Airport if she had consumed alcohol on the eight-hour flight.

The mother-of-three, a dentist, from Sevenoaks, Kent, says she was held in a ‘baking hot and foul smelling’ airport detention centre — and not allowed to call her husband, Gary.

Now Dr Holman faces spending up to a year in the strict Arab state for her case to be settled…

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she said: ‘My little girl had to go to the toilet on the cell floor. I have never heard her cry in the same way as she did in that cell.

‘My passport remains confiscated until the case is settled, which I have been told will take at least a year,’ she said.

‘So far this situation has cost me around £30,000 in legal fees, expenses and missed work. My practice is closed. All our savings have gone.’

Her nightmare began after she stepped off an Emirates Airlines flight from London to Dubai on July 13th. During the flight she was served a glass of red wine with her meal. Alcohol is served as standard practice on Emirates Airlines on flights from the UK to Dubai…

Radha Stirling, CEO of Detained In Dubai, the British human rights NGO representing Ellie said in a statement: ‘The UAE maintains a deliberately misleading façade that alcohol consumption is perfectly legal for visitors.

‘This is exampled by bars at the airport, by hotels, restaurants and clubs serving drinks. Tourists cannot be blamed for believing that the Emirates are tolerant of Western drinking habits but this is far from reality.

‘It is wholly illegal for any tourist to have any level of alcohol in their blood. It is illegal to consume alcohol at a bar, a hotel and a restaurant and if breathalysed, that person will be jailed.

Turkey’s Agony Explodes as Trump Doubles Steel, Aluminum Tariffs

ust when you thought Turkey’s moment of agony couldn’t get any worse, it did moments ago when watching the collapse of the Turkish Lira and sensing perhaps that Erdogan’s end is near, President Donald Trump blindsided the NATO member state with a tweet, announcing that he is doubling Turkey’s steel and aluminum tariffs to 50% and 20%, respectively. Why? Because as he said “Our relations with Turkey are not good at this time!”

I have just authorized a doubling of Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum with respect to Turkey as their currency, the Turkish Lira, slides rapidly downward against our very strong Dollar! Aluminum will now be 20% and Steel 50%. Our relations with Turkey are not good at this time!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 10, 2018

Trump’s ask: the release of Pastor Brunson, which Erdogan has so far staunchly refused to agree to.

In response, the Turkish Lira which already had its worst day ever, just plunged even more with the USDTRY surging as high as 6.3839, an all time high.

Obama Ignores Genocide in South Africa

Recently, Obama romped on to the Third World stage “bigly.”

He delivered an address in this writer’s birthplace of Johannesburg, South Africa. The occasion: the centennial commemoration of Nelson Mandela’s birth.

On that occasion, Obama praised “the liberal international order,” which is founded on inverted morality: Good is bad and bad is good.

Small wonder, then, that nobody—broadcaster Tucker Carlson excepted—was willing to shame Obama for lauding genial thug Cyril Ramaphosa as an inspiration for “new hope in [his] great country.”

President hope-and-change Ramaphosa has gone where his four peer predecessors had not dared to go. He led a wildly fruitful effort to tweak the already watered-down property-rights provision in the South-African Constitution. Theft of land owned by whites will now be permitted.

Other than their modern-day-messiah status, BHO and his hero Mandela share something else. Both were silent about the systematic ethnic cleansing and extermination, in ways that beggar belief, of South-African farmers, in particular, and whites in general.

Does the barefaced Barack care that white men, women and children are being butchered like animals, their bodies often displayed like trophies by their proud black assassins?

Afghan Whose Deportation Was Blocked by Crying Swedish Girl Whipped His Wife and Daughters

On 23 July the deportation of an Afghan migrant to his home country was temporarily blocked by Swedish social justice activist Elin Ersson. The girl refused to sit down until the man was removed from the flight.

Via a group of activists, Ersson was involved in trying to stop deportations before but never on a plane. She heard that an Afghan man in his 50s was among the passengers to be deported, but she didn’t know anything about him.

The footage of Ersson’s protest was watched by millions of people and was seen by the left as a brave act and one of the highlights of protests for human rights in Europe.

Screenshots of Ersson in the plane

But now it appears that the Afghan man in his 50s is actually an aggressive wife beater, Swedish news outlet Fria Tider reports.

He had beaten his daughters and his wife, and among other things, “whipped” them with a long charging cord.

The man is convicted of assault in Sweden, the police confirmed to Fria Tider. However, that was not why he was deported.

Now, newspaper Nyheter Idag reveals that the man was sentenced to nine months in jail for three cases of assault of his own wife and their two children.

Exclusive — GOP Rep. Yoder Rejected Jeff Sessions’ Plea to Vote Against Catch-and-Release Plan

Kansas Rep. Kevin Yoder rejected a personal plea July 25 from Attorney General Jeff Sessions before Yoder voted to revive former President Barack Obama’s catch-and-release policy for economic migrants, sources tell Breitbart News.

Sessions’ telephone plea was delivered during the markup session for the 2019 homeland defense budget, where Yoder — who chairs the House homeland-defense appropriations committee — ensured passage of a Democratic amendment to revive Obama’s catch-and-release policies.

Yoder’s surprise vote and rebuff of Sessions came one day after Yoder flew with President Donald Trump in Air Force One down to a July 24 Kansas rally. Sessions is Trump’s main ally in fighting illegal migration, which is playing a large role in the November midterm elections…

Any revival of the Obama’s catch-and-release would give most of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras — 32 million Central Americans — the practical ability to migrate to the United States by claiming they are fleeing gangs or domestic violence.

Boston Censorship on Trial

The city’s censoring of Camp Constitution’s Christian Flag is the ultimate insult to the First Amendment and Boston’s rich heritage as a focal point of liberty and free speech at America’s founding

Today, Liberty Counsel presented oral argument in its federal lawsuit against the city of Boston and one of its officials for censoring the Christian flag that Boston resident Hal Shurtleff and his Christian civic organization, Camp Constitution, requested to fly on the city’s public forum. The city regularly extends to other civic and cultural organizations the freedom to raise their flags on the city hall flagpoles to commemorate whatever events are important to the organizations. The city’s application policy refers to the flagpoles as a public forum.

However, when Camp Constitution asked the city in 2017 for a permit to raise the Christian flag on Boston City Hall flagpoles to commemorate Constitution Day (September 17) and the civic and cultural contributions of the Christian community to the city of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, religious tolerance, the Rule of Law, and the U.S. Constitution, city officials denied the permit based on a secret, unwritten and unconstitutional “policy” of refusing religious flags. In the lawsuit, Shurtleff and Camp Constitution seek an injunction requiring the city to allow the Christian flag-raising event, that it denied in 2017, to coincide with the 2018 observance of Constitution Day. This event will include historical and contemporary presentations, such as the need for racial reconciliation through Jesus Christ.

At today’s oral argument, Liberty Counsel’s Assistant Vice President of Legal Affairs, Roger Gannam, showed the court that the city’s denial and secret “policy” are unconstitutional because the city’s written permit guidelines promise the public “to accommodate all applicants seeking to take advantage of the city of Boston’s public forums,” but the city admitted in a court filing that its official policy actually makes permit decisions based on whether the city approves the “message” of the applicant. This admission by the city confirms that the city approves of the “message” communicated by Boston Pride and the pink and blue “transgender” flag, and even the flags of Communist China and Cuba, but does not approve of the civic and historical Christian message of Camp Constitution.

Colleges: A Force for Evil

Many of the nation’s colleges have become a force for evil and a focal point for the destruction of traditional American values. The threat to our future lies in the fact that today’s college students are tomorrow’s teachers, professors, judges, attorneys, legislators and policymakers. A recent Brookings Institution poll suggests that nearly half of college students believe that hate speech is not protected by the First Amendment.

Of course, it is. Fifty-one percent of students think that it’s acceptable to shout down a speaker with whom they disagree. About 20 percent of students hold that it’s acceptable to use violence to prevent a speaker from speaking, over 50 percent say colleges should prohibit speech and viewpoints that might offend certain people. Contempt for the First Amendment and other constitutional guarantees is probably shared by the students’ high school teachers, as well as many college professors.

Brainwashing and indoctrination of young people has produced some predictable results, as shown by a recent Gallup Poll. For the past 18 years, Gallup has asked adults how proud they are to be Americans. This year, only 47 percent say they are “extremely proud,” well below the peak of 70 percent in 2003. The least proud to be Americans are nonwhites, young adults and college graduates. The proudest Americans are those older than 50 and those who did not graduate from college. The latter might be explained by their limited exposure to America’s academic elite.

Johnetta Benton, a teacher at Hampton Middle School near Atlanta, was recorded telling her sixth-grade students, “America has never been great for minorities.”

In a tirade, she told her class: “Because Europeans came from Europe … you are an immigrant. You are an illegal immigrant because you came and just took it. … You are an immigrant. This is not your country.”

To exploit young, immature young people this way represents an act of supreme cowardice. The teacher should be fired, but I’m guessing that her colleagues share her sympathies. At the same school, students were given a homework assignment that required them to write a letter asking lawmakers for stricter gun control laws.

One might be tempted to argue that the growing contempt for liberty and the lack of civility stem from the election of Donald Trump. That’s entirely wrong. The lack of civility and indoctrination of our young people have been going on for decades.

Gender Pronoun Obsessed School Loses Students (Shock!)

A weird identity politics madness has been steadily taking over our campuses for a few decades now. Individual faculty who stood up against the madness were dogpiled by rabid admin, and eventually removed; I’ve seen it with my own eyes enough times.

Last January, I covered such a dogpile at Laurier University. In this case, a teacher decided to have an open discussion of the “23 gender pronouns” symptom of the madness, and was called into the palace of the Diversity Fiefdom, for re-education: use of these pronouns was not a topic open to discussion. While I maintain these types of “conversations” between faculty and identity politics admin are commonplace, what made this particular incident remarkable was the teacher actually recorded the conversation, so that later all could hear with their own ears just how pathological the commissars on our campuses are.

Paul Craig Roberts: “Is There Enough of America Left to be Saved?”

That corporations believe that they can attack the First Amendment with no adverse consequences to themselves shows the extent to which the United States has eroded.

As many readers of this website have noticed, the United States has lost its character and become a dysfunctional society. In place of a largely homogeneous population once united in veneration of the Constitution, there exists today massive diversity which Identity Politics has used to disunite the population into separate interest groups.

The George W. Bush and Obama regimes destroyed two of the most important protections of civil liberty—habeas corpus and due process…

A third important protection of civil liberty — freedom of speech which is necessary for the discovery of truth and to serve justice — is being destroyed. Apple, Google/Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, university speech codes, legislation against protesting Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians, and the presstitute media that has been turned into a propaganda organ in behalf of vested interests are all actively involved in protecting lies against truth…

The Second Amendment, which was placed in the Constitution as a defense against oppression by government, is under attack by well financed organizations in service to the police state with the intention of disarming the population. Many attentive Americans are convinced that mass shootings are staged or pretended in order to create public support for repealing the Second Amendment. Clearly the amount of effort expended against the Second Amendment is disproportional to the number of shooting deaths as compared to other causes of deaths. Why this one cause of deaths has so many well financed and politically active organizations compared to other causes of deaths is a question that is studiously avoided. We see far more opposition to the Second Amendment than we see against Washington’s destruction in whole or part of seven countries during the past two decades, resulting in the death, maiming, widowing, orphaning and displacement of millions of peoples…

In an Orwellian twist, freedom of religion is now interpreted as a prohibition against celebrating Christianity, the religious basis of the country, in public arenas.

Law faculties and the ACLU have deemphasized the original rights specified in the Constitution, emphasizing instead rights for transgendered, homosexuals, illegal aliens, and those seeking and performing abortions—a horrendous crime only a few decades ago…

The newly invented rights and the speech codes are used as weapons against heterosexual white males and to transfer authority from white male professors and managers to university and corporate “diversity offices” acting in behalf of “oppressed minorities” (women, non-white races except apparently Asians, homosexuals, transgendered). In the August 2018 issue of Chronicles, a magazine of American culture, Jack Trotter relates one of his experiences as an assistant professor “at a major Southern university, one of those SEC football titans.” In a lecture he encouraged his students to “avoid excessive use of abstract, Latinate terms in their writing.” He was accused of committing a racist crime of advocating white superiority by expressing a preference for short words with clear meaning that comprise Anglo-Saxon vocabulary. The absurd charge was placed in Trotter’s university file for internal use in the event he gave further indications of white supremacy by uttering the term Anglo-Saxon.

It gets even more ridiculous than this. A professor I know at a major research university was unaware that “girls” had been made an insensitive word and used it in class. He was called before a diversity dean and told that one more infraction and he would have to attend a class in “diversity training.”

The same thing happened to a graduate student at an English University who was one Friday afternoon sitting talking with three secretaries who were describing the evening out they had planned. He said: “sounds like a fun girls’ night out.” The expression “girls night out” is an old one widely used by women themselves, but the secretaries took offense at the word “girls,” complained, and the graduate student was subjected to sensitivity training.

Any member of an “oppressed minority” can make a complaint against a white male on any basis, and it is in the vested interest of the diversity office, whether university or corporate—remember the Google case—to regard the complaint both as true and as an offense.
