YouTube Banishes Alternative for Sweden

The dissident party Alternative for Sweden (AfS) came into prominence early this year. It owes its recent rise in part to the dissatisfaction felt by some supporters of the anti-immigration party Sweden Democrats, which was perceived to be taking an insufficiently strong stance against mass migration and Islamization. The more popular the AfS has become, the more vigorously the Powers That Be have worked to suppress it. The most recent action against it was the closure of its YouTube channel.

AFS: YouTube Has Permanently Deleted Us

YouTube has permanently deleted the channel of the Alternativ för Sverige [Alternative for Sweden, AFS], the party confirmed on Monday. The party is accused by YouTube of “agitation against a population group” [hets mot folkgrupp] because they uploaded a clip about a SVT news anchor who speaks broken Swedish.

The nationalist party Alternative for Sweden was informed today that YouTube on Monday morning has permanently deleted the party’s official channel on the service.

The reason given was a video clip the party had linked to regarding a news anchor for SVT who spoke Swedish badly.

Under the video clip the party had published the text: “News anchors should be able to speak FLUENT SWEDISH!” This appeal is seen by YouTube as constituting “agitation against a population group” and violating the video service’s so-called “community guidelines”, writes the party in a press release.

According to AFS, the channel had hundreds of thousands of visitors and was the second largest among those belonging to Swedish political parties, measured by the number of subscribers.

The channel’s homepage now only reads “This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.”

“The Alternative for Sweden is on its way into parliament, and the politically correct establishment does everything in its power to throw a monkey wrench in our path. The ‘agitation against a population group’ legislation concerns thought crime, and is employed by the establishment to silence opposition and limit freedom of expression. That it counts as agitation against a population group to think that news anchors in Sweden should be able to speak fluent Swedish shows what a joke of a law this is. The ‘agitation against a population group’ legislation needs to be ripped up immediately,” says party leader Gustav Kasselstrand.

“We have been subject to censorship on YouTube and other social media time and again. That foreign private companies with a monopoly have the ability to dictate which opinions and which political parties are able to reach out to the general public is one of the greatest threats to the freedom of expression today. The Alternative for Sweden is the only party that wants to forbid political censorship in social media.”

Denmark’s Yuge Sense of Humor

This is a good example of the Danish ability to laugh at themselves and others. This time “others” is (mostly) Donald Trump, but it’s a broad brush they have, managing to paint the Netherlands, too.

Some good sight gags, to boot.

I love the Danes, the last sane country in Western Europe.

Gang-raped girl gravely injured — Punishment halved

The three Africans filmed their bloody and drawn-out gang rape of a 13-year-old girl in Västerås, Sweden. Then they spread the video in social media. But now the Court of Appeals chooses to almost halve their sentences — from eight to four and five months in juvenile detention, respectively. A fourth rapist has escaped all punishment, since it was stated that he is a child.

On June 14, 2017, a 13-year-old girl was gang-raped in a flat in Västerås. In April three Somalis, whose year of birth was given as 2000, were each sentenced to eight months juvenile detention for child rape.

The judgment was appealed by the prosecutor, who demanded their sentences be increased.

But now the Svea Court of Appeals has instead chosen to lower them drastically, and also free one of the Somalis from the charge of child pornography — after it could not be determined from the gang rape video that the girl was still in puberty.

Two of them have now been sentenced to five months in closed juvenile detention, and the third got away with only four months.

The total combined damages of SEK 186,428 ($21,301; €18,154) they were ordered to pay to the girl have been increased to SEK 196,428 ($22,442; €19,128).

“In consideration of the defendants’ age, the maximum measure is a quarter of the punishment scale, and furthermore it should be taken into account that there is no furlough from closed juvenile detention,” writes the Svea Court of Appeals in its judgment.

Before the gang rape, the Africans had invited the girl to drink alcohol until she became highly intoxicated. One of them took the 13-year-old into the toilet and raped her. After the girl came out, she was taken in there again and raped by three persons at the same time, which caused her vaginal tissue to rip, and blood began to flow.

When she went out on the balcony, crying, she was raped yet again while the others watched. It came out later that two of the Somalis were filming during the rapes. The videos became the prosecutor’s strongest pieces of evidence, and were shown during the court proceedings, wrote Swedish Television.

In the lower court’s judgment it was mentioned that after the incident the girl has been cutting herself and has become cold, angry and short-tempered. Since then she has had a high level of absence from school, suffered from nightmares with loud crying, and a sleep deficiency.

The video of the rapes had gone viral by then, and the girl was subjected to name-calling and rumours.

It Wasn’t Me — Allah Said It!

This case from Denmark could have some very interesting ramifications. If the imam’s lawyer decides to use the “religious freedom” defense, he will emphasize the fact that his client was simply quoting his religion’s scripture.

“Your Honor, I was not the one who said that — it was our god, speaking through his prophet, who said that all Jews must be killed.”

Hmm… I wonder how that will work out? It might be useful to have it down in black and white in the record of the legal proceedings for the case.

For the first time ever an imam has been charged with encouraging the killing of Jews

The controversial words were spoken during Friday prayers at a mosque on Nørrebro in Copenhagen.

An imam from a mosque in Nørrebro in Copenhagen has been charged for encouraging the killing of Jews.

This was stated by the prosecutorial authority in a press release.

This is the first time a prosecution has been initiated under the so-called Imam Act of January 2017. The Imam Act was passed in an effort to curb radicalization and religious [hate] preachers.

“These are heinous statements, and I think it is quite right that the court now has an opportunity to assess the case,” says Advocate General Eva Rønne from the State Prosecutor’s office.

She has the sermon on video, as the mosque from Nørrebro in Copenhagen itself posted it on Facebook and YouTube.

“Come and kill him”

According to the Prosecution Authority, the sermon consists of both the imam’s own words and a quote from the Quran. The imam says, among other things:

“Judgment Day will not arrive until Muslims fight the Jews in order that the Muslims may kill them — and the Jew will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will say,” O Muslim, O God’s worshiper, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.”

Assistant State’s Attorney Eva Rønne explains that it is legal to quote religious scriptures from the Quran and the Bible, but it is punishable if, for example, killing a certain segment of the population is applauded and that the person preaching the words at the same time makes the words his own.

“It has always been illegal to accept the killing certain segments of the population, but what is new is that we now have a method to target hate preachers that can sentence them to up to three years in prison,” she says.

Sarah, Champion of Islam

Sarah Champion is a Labour MP for Rotherham, the city in Yorkshire that has become synonymous with Islamic sex slavery. Our English correspondent Wat Tyler sends this report with the latest on Ms. Champion, including her attempt to wriggle out from under the weight of her history of truckling to Islam.

I wanted to draw your readers’ attention to this Times piece about Sarah Champion MP, and what a martyr she is made out to be for standing up to the muslim grooming gangs ever since it became politically expedient to do so.

Last August Sarah Champion was ousted from her position in Jeremy Corbyn’s Shadow Cabinet, where she had been Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities. As Stephen Evans of LibertyGB wrote last year:

I do suspect that Ms Champion has an eye on her future political career and is willing to sacrifice herself now in a bid to bank brownie points for when Corbyn and his cronies get the heave-ho and Labour return to a more centre-left position.

The Times article is behind a paywall, so I can’t reproduce it in full. The author is Andrew Norfolk, and the title is “Terror police boost security for MP Sarah Champion over criticism of Asian sex gangs”. This is the opening paragraph:

An MP who received death threats after condemning the sexual abuse of girls by groups of British Pakistani men has been given increased security amid fears that hard-left and Muslim opponents are trying to force her from office.

In other words, it’s the usual — she’s getting state protection and therefore she’s a brave martyr. What I find so irritating is the determination to direct people’s rightful outrage into worthless channels.

I am not aware of one thing that Sarah Champion has done to protect any girl, or to get any muslim rape gang prosecuted. Being a talking head after trial, conviction and sentence doesn’t count.

In February 2016, on the day that a muslim rape gang in Rotherham gang was sentenced for sex-slaving white British girls, she got together with muslim advocates at a public meeting to promote the message that muslim girls were the victims. See here, at 14:04 26 Feb 2016.

Eyeless in Gaza (NOT)

This afternoon I visited the retinologist for my monthly examination and injection to treat the flare-up of wet macular degeneration in my left eye. This is the fourth such treatment since the symptoms recurred three months ago.

The doctor says the eye is doing very well, so I don’t have to go in again for another six weeks. If I continue to do well, the treatments will get further and further apart, and hopefully cease altogether for a while, like they did from July 2014 until this past April.

As eye-pokes (that’s what I call them) go, this one wasn’t too bad. No annoying dancing air bubbles this time, which makes the aftermath much easier to get through. I can’t say I’m back to normal functioning yet, but at least I can read the screen fairly well.

Every time I get an eye injection, I console myself by visiting a nearby retail outlet that has some of the best deals around on wine. They have an astonishing selection of French wines at very low prices. For example, their Mouton Cadet (a lowbrow Bordeaux) is $9.99, whereas you normally pay at least $12-$15 at other stores.

I spent a while cruising around with my shopping cart, squinting at the labels. I got a 2014 Corbières and a 2015 Bordeaux for under $10 apiece.

I love that place! It kind of eases the heartbreak off of having to get a needle in the eye.

Looking at all that wine reminded me of a project that Vlad and I undertook some years ago (his idea, my execution).

The wine in the original bottle that I based the image on is gag-provoking stuff (by my standards). I wouldn’t want to drink it. But the digital version looks quite tasty to me, especially with the piggy on the label to remind me to have some pulled pork barbecue to go with it.

You may have heard about it. Or not; this scandal is not really international front page news. The new Dutch Minister for Foreign Affairs had to apologize profusely for stating the earth was round. It actually isn’t. The earth really is flat. Sorry to put you on the wrong foot. Rest assured, he will have to do better than that; the idea is to have him removed for his harsh words. What actually happened?

After the ignominious demise of minister Halbe Zijlstra, a new minister for Foreign Affairs was appointed. His name is Stef Blok, from the conservative VVD party. A career politician, and somewhat of a gray mouse. He is a conservative member of his party. Not an outspoken person. You rarely hear anything about him. Until he made his infamous speech last week.

In that speech he said the multicultural society is a failure. There isn’t a single example of a successful multicultural state, and gave Suriname as an example, among others. According to him Suriname is a failed state, very much linked to its ethnic composition. He said even the USA and Australia weren’t really multicultural states, as the indigenous population was largely exterminated. And: if you live in a prosperous area you won’t see any problem with multiculturalism. If you happen to live in the middle of it, you most certainly do. I can’t see the difference between a Hutu and a Tutsi, or a Sunni and a Shiite. But unfortunately, they themselves can.

What he actually said is what we here on the Gates know and talk about. Plain common sense. He didn’t say anything untoward. He didn’t judge, he just stated obvious facts. In other words: an inconvenient truth. For which he could have collected a Nobel prize if his remarks were factually incorrect, but political correct. It’s the other way around, so Blok’s head very likely goes on the block. Progressiveness is anything but tolerant, as we all know too well.

What you don’t know is that he was set up. It was a trap. The deep sh*t state does not exist only in the USA; it also rules in Holland, among other places. Especially at the ministry for Foreign Affairs. If you happen to be a white straight male, don’t apply for a job there. You won’t get it. The very top of the ministry is firmly in the hands of diversity and political correctness. So much so that this top doesn’t want to take orders from anyone else.

The last minister Sigrid Kaag was their ideal minister. She was part of the previous Rutte cabinet, a member of D66 party and as multicultural as mohammed was muslim. The top of the ministry adored her. They want her back, and fast! So what do you do when you get two undesirables in a row? You get rid of them. The first one was easy enough. Halbe Zijlstra boasted stupidly — quite normal for a politician — but his boasts were blatant lies, so he had to go. I reported about his demise here.

The ministry was looking forward to Kaag II, but got stuck with Stef Blok. Oh, the horror. He’s a neo-nazi (= not one of us)! We have to do something about that, and real quick. So they did. They set a trap for the minister, and he fell for it.

Now I have to do a bit of nitpicking. First of all, the top of the ministry should know better than anyone else that ministers and staatssecretarissen (junior ministers) are political appointees. The parties negotiate which party gets to head which ministry. The idea that you can embarrass an undesirable minister into oblivion and replace him with your choice from a different party is ludicrous. At best you can get rid of someone and hope he will be replaced by a better one or at least a lesser evil, from that same party. The very idea that the ministry heads appoints their preferred minister over the parties is too silly for words. But still… they try. It does tell you how much the deep state cares about the trias politica, separation of powers and democracy.

The deal will include €6,000 for every migrant whose asylum application is accepted. However, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini responded by saying, “We don’t need charity!”

Tottenham

The ancient locale of Tottenham lies six miles due north of the Tower of London and a mile west of the City. It has existed for over a thousand years since a man named Totta or Tota established a homestead, or ‘Ham’ in old English, as derived from the Proto-Germanic ‘haimaz’, and it has grown and changed in various stages since that time.

It was recorded in the 1086 Domesday Book as Toteham when about 70 families lived within the area of the manor. From the Tudor period onwards, Tottenham became a popular recreation and leisure destination for wealthy Londoners. Henry VIII is known to have visited Bruce Castle, and also hunted in Tottenham Wood.

In 1894 Tottenham was made an urban district, and on 27 September 1934 it became a municipal borough. From 1 April 1965, the municipal borough formed part of the London Borough of Haringey and was thus absorbed into the Metropolitan conglomerate.

One of its most prominent sons who comes down to us through the pages of history is Sir Henry Percy (1364—1403), known as Harry Hotspur, eldest son of the 1st Earl of Northumberland. As a result of the reputation he had established as a fearless and heroic warrior, Percy earned the nickname ‘Hotspur’ from his willingness to charge into the thickest part of battle, and his frequent use of spurs when riding.

His reputation continued to grow until he was slain at the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, at which time his family owned large tracts of land in Tottenham. He is depicted as Hotspur in Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1, and it was after his determination and courage that the local — and down the years a very successful football team — ‘Tottenham Hotspur’, were named.

Today, Tottenham it is a very different place, and is represented in Parliament by Labour MP David Lammy…

…a London born parliamentarian of British Guianese (now known as Guyana) parentage who grew up in Tottenham and succeeded that infamous Georgetown, Guiana-born racist Bernie Grant, MP, the previous Labour incumbent from 1987 until his death in 2000.

Coincidentally or otherwise, Tottenham is immediately adjacent to the Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency of that towering intellect, KFC bon vivant and motorcycle pillion passenger, the fragrant Dianne Abbott, MP…

…Labour Shadow Home Secretary, champion of mathematical ineptitude and semi-permanent member of the panel on David Dimbleby’s BBC weekly flying circus known as Question Time.

In a 1984 interview with the journal of the Labour Committee on Ireland (LCI), when asked if she saw herself as Black British, Abbott replied, “No — I would self-define myself just as Black. Though I was born here in London, I couldn’t identify as British and anyway most British people don’t accept us as British. God! British people can be so racist”

Yet later, whilst condemning everyone else’s children to an education in the largely failing inner city comprehensives in her constituency, she persisted in sending her son to an expensive white British boarding school, despite having previously raged on about such privileged establishments which, incidentally, her affirmative-actioned life and opportunities had made possible for her to afford. In some instances, gratitude doesn’t even have a half-life — it has no life at all.

I can’t call it “Big Brother”, because that would be sexist and patriarchal. And Google is just one of the three Big Siblings of our time, the others being Facebook and Twitter.

The old blogspot version of Gates of Vienna has been dormant for a long time — we moved here to our very own domain more than five and a half years ago. Nevertheless, it seems the old blog continues to offend the sensitive, because we just received this entertaining email from Google:

I don’t really understand what action Google has taken, or is planning to take. Will they delete the offending posts entirely? Or just block them on gatesofvienna.blogspot.pk?

In any case, copies of the same content will continue to exist on the current site. Presumably those Pakistani luminaries know that, but don’t (yet) have the clout to force the removal of the material from gatesofvienna.net.

Those should remain live, at least until Hillary gets elected in 2020 and cracks down on the independent service providers, forcing them to close the accounts of customers who publish “hate content”.

The notice from Google prompted me to take a walk down memory lane and revisit our material on Lars Vilks and the Modoggies. We began following the uproar over Mr. Vilks’ rondellhundar within a few days after they first appeared in public. He didn’t start earning death fatwas until the first one was published in the newspaper Nerikes Allehanda (the image to the right). That was enough to trigger Islamic outrage all over the world.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. Not all of our readers were following the Modoggie saga back in 2007, so I’d best start at the beginning.

Nikoletta Incze on Lone Wolves: “The Behavior is Already Encoded in the Ideology”
