Gates of Vienna News Feed 7/9/2018

British Prime Minister Theresa May negotiated a “soft Brexit” deal that enraged Brexit supporters and prompted resignations from her cabinet, including Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. Nigel Farage jumped into the fray by announcing that he would resume the leadership of UKIP and fight Mrs. May to prevent a Brexit “sellout”.

In other news, President Trump announced that his nominee to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court would be the circuit court judge Brett Kavanaugh.

U.S. Economy “Not Running Out of Workers”; Latest Jobs Report Shows More Gains

Noting that the jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released on Friday showed more than 600,000 people entering or re-entering the workforce, Kate Warne, an economist at investment firm Edward Jones, concluded: “It’s clear that we’re not running out of workers. There is additional leeway for job growth to remain strong.”

Translation: The economy is not a fixed pie, but dynamic and growing. The belief that “when one person wins, another person loses” has been proven wrong once again. A growing pie means that everyone benefits by participating in it.

The BLS said that employers not only added 213,000 new workers to their payrolls in June, but revised April’s numbers upward by 16,000 (from 159,000 to 175,000) and May’s numbers by 21,000 (from 223,000 to 244,000) — a total of 37,000 jobs it failed to include in the last two months.

#Michigan: Help Patrick Colbeck Defeat Abdul Al-Sayed, Who Said ‘You May Not Hate Muslims But Muslims Definitely Hate You!

Michigan voters may remember when gubernatorial candidate Abdul al-Sayed said to his Republican opponent: ‘You may not hate Muslims but Muslims definitely hate you!’ That opponent is Patrick Colbeck, and he is being supported by Trevor Loudon, Philip Haney and others who are holding a fundraising webinar for him on July 9, 2018.

Patrick Colbeck has been raked across the coals for daring to mention Abdul al-Sayed’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Revealingly, al-Sayed has not addressed these concerns, opting to ignore the charge and paint Patrick Colbeck as anti-Muslim.

Abdul El-Sayed is the epitome of the Red/Green Axis, espousing radical leftist views while being a Muslim, a combination that seems incompatible, but actually is very compatible if the goal is to fundamentally transform America. If you are interested in learning more, scroll all the way to the bottom of this post and watch Trevor Loudon’s mini documentary film: Soviet Islam.

2-Year-Old Dies After Accidentally Shooting Himself in Head

HOUSTON TX (KTRK/CNN) — A two-year-old boy has died after accidentally shooting himself.

Police say the child found a nine-millimeter pistol, thought to belong to the child’s father and shot himself in the head.

The boy, known as “Junior” was taken to the hospital where doctors were not able to save his life

His mother went to the hospital with the boy

The father was briefly detained by police.

But he was later placed in an ambulance, where he pleaded to go tend to his son.

People who know the family, including the father’s best friend, are heartbroken.

“I got a son. So, for me to lose mine, it’d kill me. And I just hate to see him going through this you know. It’s a very sad time,” said a family friend.

Family members and neighbors say the father was a great, hands-on dad.

Police said the shooting is under investigation.

No charges have been filed at this time.

American Manufacturing Business Owner: ‘Thank You Mr. President’ For ‘Enough is Enough’ Attitude on Trade

Zach Mottl, the owner of American manufacturing company Atlas Tool Works in Lyons, Illinois, is thanking President Trump for his recent tariffs on imported steel and aluminum.

In an interview with Fox Business, Mottl praised Trump’s tariffs on foreign countries and their imported steel and aluminum, saying the economic nationalist approach to trade should have been implemented years ago to help American businesses and workers.

Mottl said:

Well, it will certainly be a better product and it should be made in the U.S. because its not that we’re not competitive, it’s that other countries are breaking the rules, breaking their promises and quite frankly cheating, and so the president, he’s taking a tough approach and I say: Thank you Mr. President for your ‘Enough is enough’ approach on trade. This is what we’ve needed. For 23 years we’ve seen other countries, we didn’t start a trade war, it’s been going on for a long time and we’re just finally engaging and trying to defend ourselves here. [Emphasis added]

Mottl also crushed arguments often made by free traders that Trump’s tariffs will cause the price of goods to skyrocket:

Authorities Level Bevy of Charges on East Boston Man Hurt in Explosion

An East Boston man is facing more than a half-dozen charges in connection with an explosion yesterday inside his apartment.

Tomas Mikula, 28, was charged late last night with unlawful possession of explosives, unlawful possession of an incendiary device, willful ignition of an incendiary device, unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possssion of a rifle, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a high-capacity firearm, according to Boston police.

Mikula was hospitalized with serious burns to his body following the 12:40 a.m. blast on the second floor of 88 Webster St.

Police Commissioner William B. Evans said yesterday Mikula has no known links to terrorism; however, it was disclosed last night the suspect had in his home “materials commonly associated with the creation of an explosive device.”

Police said they seized PCV tubing and chemical compounds during the execution of a search warrant yesterday.

Beware Those Scientific Studies — Most Are Wrong, Researcher Warns

Washington (AFP) — A few years ago, two researchers took the 50 most-used ingredients in a cook book and studied how many had been linked with a cancer risk or benefit, based on a variety of studies published in scientific journals.

The result? Forty out of 50, including salt, flour, parsley and sugar. “Is everything we eat associated with cancer?” the researchers wondered in a 2013 article based on their findings.

Their investigation touched on a known but persistent problem in the research world: too few studies have large enough samples to support generalized conclusions.

But pressure on researchers, competition between journals and the media’s insatiable appetite for new studies announcing revolutionary breakthroughs has meant such articles continue to be published.

“The majority of papers that get published, even in serious journals, are pretty sloppy,” said John Ioannidis, professor of medicine at Stanford University, who specializes in the study of scientific studies.

Evidence is Growing That Hillary Clinton is Planning One Last Run for President in 2020

Hillary Clinton really going to make another run for the White House in 2020? Many thought that it would never happen, but the Clintons are like those super annoying houseguests that just keep coming back time after time. And the truth is that once you get the political bug, it is hard to shake. For those that have been afflicted, there is often only two possible cures — election victory or death. For Hillary, the only way that her story has a happy ending now is if she ultimately becomes president somehow. Anything short of that will mean that her legacy forever will be that she almost became the first woman president, but instead she ran a very poor campaign and opened the door for the Donald Trump era. She is determined not to be remembered that way, and that is why it is looking very likely that she will make one last run for president in 2020.

Of course Hillary Clinton is denying everything right now. She insists that she is not running, but she did the exact same thing prior to the 2016 election. After she lost to Barack Obama in 2008, she swore that she would never run for office again. But for politicians like the Clintons, those kinds of promises are made to be broken.

The New York Times had no idea in 1984 that a piece taking a deep dive into the life of an upcoming billionaire would eventually resurface as confirmation of just how PERFECT a fit President Trump is for this time in America. We pulled out the highlights for you below but the entire article is incredible. Who could have predicted in 1984? Well, it seems that The New York Times described brilliant businessman Donald J. Trump as a great future President of the United States…

Intel x86s Hide Another CPU That Can Take Over Your Machine (You Can’t Audit it)

Recent Intel x86 processors implement a secret, powerful control mechanism that runs on a separate chip that no one is allowed to audit or examine. When these are eventually compromised, they’ll expose all affected systems to nearly unkillable, undetectable rootkit attacks. I’ve made it my mission to open up this system and make free, open replacements, before it’s too late.

The Intel Management Engine (ME) is a subsystem composed of a special 32-bit ARC microprocessor that’s physically located inside the chipset. It is an extra general purpose computer running a firmware blob that is sold as a management system for big enterprise deployments.

When you purchase your system with a mainboard and Intel x86 CPU, you are also buying this hardware add-on: an extra computer that controls the main CPU. This extra computer runs completely out-of-band with the main x86 CPU meaning that it can function totally independently even when your main CPU is in a low power state like S3 (suspend).

On some chipsets, the firmware running on the ME implements a system called Intel’s Active Management Technology (AMT). This is entirely transparent to the operating system, which means that this extra computer can do its job regardless of which operating system is installed and running on the main CPU.

The Rainbow Conspiracy Part 12: Steve Phillips and Democracy Alliance Team up to Flip Florida

Steve Phillips understands that a “Rainbow Coalition” of minorities already has the numbers to form the “New American Majority.” If Steve Phillips and his billionaire socialist friends can build that coalition sufficiently in 2018 and 2020, they will become a permanent new American ruling class.

Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in Florida by just under 113,000 votes. For the left, Florida’s 27 Congressional Districts and 29 Electoral College votes are a tempting prize indeed.

If the Democrats can flip Florida in 2018/2020, they will almost certainly win the White House.

San Francisco lawyer and key Democratic Party operative Steve Phillips is targeting the Sunshine State. Florida has an open gubernatorial race this year and Phillips wants to use this election to inspire the state’s black and Latino voting base to vote all the way down to the bottom of the ballot. Phillips realizes that if he can steer his chosen candidate into the governor’s mansion this year, Florida will likely go blue in 2020.

If that happens — no more President Trump.

Boris Speaks: ‘Brexit is Dying, White Flags Are Fluttering, May Deal Will Make Britain an EU Colony’

Ex-Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has absolutely excoriated Theresa May and her Brexit strategy in his resignation letter, warning that Brexit is “dying” and Britain is “headed for the status of colony”.

The former Mayor of London’s resignation followed that of David Davis, who had been Secretary of State at the newly-created Department for Exiting the European Union and was at least nominally in charge of the negotiations with the EU.

Delingpole: Brexit is Dead — Strangled by Theresa May and Her Cabal of Remainer Cronies

Brexit is dead — strangled at the weekend by Prime Minister Theresa May and her cabal of Remainer cronies.

It was a brilliant coup, masterfully conducted with a sadist’s attention to detail.

All the ministers in the Cabinet were hauled up to Chequers, the Prime Minister’s country residence, where their phones were confiscated, as though they were naughty children. Then the stubbornly pro-Brexit ones who were rightly disgusted by the shaming sell-out deal May had cobbled together with her virulently Remainer civil servants were given the same choice Rommel was in 1944: cyanide pill or slow career death.

The cyanide pill option would have involved resigning immediately on principle: but then being ritually humiliated by having their official car confiscated and having to walk to the train station via the mile-long drive, or catch a cab, with a £67,000 pay cut.

A letter to each minister, leaked to the press, warned them of this beforehand. Petty, but given how vain ministers are, very effective.

France is a Ticking Time Bomb

The “lost territories of the Republic” proclaim the failure of integration.

By Giulio Meotti

France is a time bomb. Read what happens in a large area of ??Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis, with its 1.6 million inhabitants. Not only that about 40 percent of its residents are of the Islamic faith. Not only that 28 percent are on the verge of poverty.

According to a new parliamentary report just released and revealed by Le Figaro, between 8 and 20 percent of its inhabitants are illegal immigrants (they could be up to 400,000). The report details what the conservative newspaper Le Figaro describes as “the incredible deterioration of social, economic and security conditions” in the area. An estimated 550 migrants arrive in Paris each week.

In the Basilica of Saint-Denis lie the kings of France. Nearby, Islamic clothing stores, Islamic restaurants, halal bookshops proliferate. It goes without saying that the department, which has been historically the home of French Jewry., is fast becoming Judenfrei: free of its Jews…

French Security Services ‘On the Verge of Implosion’, Senators Warn

A Senate report released last week found France’s security services to be at crisis point and called on the presidency to act quickly. “We are on the verge of implosion,” warned one of the authors.

Two French senators are sounding the alarm — warning of a “crisis”, a “general malaise” and a “loss of meaning” — in a report submitted to the Senate on July 3. The survey painted a particularly bleak portrait of the state of law enforcement and called on the government to take urgent action.

Commissioned shortly after a wave of suicides among security forces in the autumn of 2017, the report describes a host of ills that are well known to all those who serve in the police and gendarmerie, where escalating violence and chronic underfunding are the order of the day…

(ANSA) — BELGRADE, 7 LUG — The industrial production in Hungary grew 3.8% in May year-on-year, well above the market expectations, analysts from ING said in statement today. “In month-on-month terms, the data was the strongest so far this year,” ING added, noting however that the general trend is “is still one of deceleration.” According to the Hungarian statistical office, the most significant contribution to the grow of industrial production came from the food and electronic industries.

“Car manufacturing, which has the highest weight in Hungary’s industry as a whole, was not even mentioned among the expansionary subsections. A possible explanation could be that companies hit capacity constraints,” ING noted.

UK Parliament: Little Interest in Grooming Gangs

In response to Britain’s ongoing sexual grooming scandal, a group of 20 MPs signed an open letter to recently appointed Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, urging coordinated action.

As the UK Parliament has 650 MPs, the 20 signatories constitute a mere 3% willing to support the protection of children subjected to gang-rape, trafficking and torture, and at times murder. Such a paltry number of politicians willing to speak out against child sexual slavery seems yet more evidence of the moral bankruptcy of Britain’s political elite and how low the country appears to have sunk. …

In terms of the UK’s social fabric, the grooming scandal has been for many the rock on which the ill-conceived multiculturalism of modern Britain shattered. Now, intensified by the current fevered atmosphere in the UK, the approach the British authorities have taken in response to this national disaster appears largely based on countering secondary issues — most notably, individuals that protest the grooming, including at one point the arrest of parents attempting to rescue their daughter from her abusers.

There also seems to be a tacit alliance with much of the media to silence public discourse and, when all else fails, outright suppression.

This strategy, if it can be called that, doubtless not only makes a bad situation worse; it also bodes ill, as the sleeping giant of Britain’s white working class begins to wake up.

The Hypocrisy of Intersectionality and the Jewish Question

People with strategic antennae can detect a throwback to the Soviet inspired canard of “Zionism is Racism.” This radical left-wing anti-Israel trope raised its ugly head way back in 2001 at the UN World Conference Against Racism in South Africa where thousands of anti-Israel demonstrators and groups hijacked the event to target the Jewish state with phony propaganda including apartheid accusations.

Sadly, despite being beaten down in the United Nations, this same anti-Zionism has breathed new life and is active today on the campuses and streets of America and Britain, reaching out into support for Hamas and Hezbollah.

As it was then, it is dressed up as a universal human rights issue. The same tiresome aspersions are trotted out, and soft vacant minds of the impressionable young are hooked on a cause to which they are physically detached but to which they have been seduced to dedicate their energies. It fits their progressive upbringing. Sadly, a growing number of the newly deceived are Jewish.

In America, many have been raised by parents from the anti-war, hippie, flower power, era who, from a distance, frowned on Israel for not bringing peace to the Palestinians and, from their distant armchair, encourage their kids to become activists in an anti-Israel cause. And they do it, they claim, for the benefit of an Israel that is too dumb, and too aggressive, to see the error of our ways.

What they have yet to realize is that firstly, they are wrong, and secondly their kids have gone from being liberal to becoming the most illiberal, closed-minded, and intolerant people in the community. They exist, you see, on a higher moral plain than the rest of us. They know better.[…]

[Israelis would love to live in peace with the ‘religion of peace’, but the ‘religion of peace’ prefers war and it takes two to turkey trot….]

After the women are arrested, they can be taken to the Dutch embassy. From there their return to the Netherlands can be arranged, so that they can be tried.

RSS — India’s Hindu Nationalists Spread Their Wings Far and Wide

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is the ideological mentor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP party. It is increasingly playing an influential role both inside and outside government. Murali Krishnan reports.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is a Hindu umbrella group which is the ideological inspiration for PM Modi’s rightwing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). RSS, which presents itself as a cultural organization, advocates a Hindu nationalistic agenda under the banner of “Hindutva” or “Hinduness.”

Founded in 1925, the RSS today boasts six million active members. Most of the BJP’s leaders, including Modi, have a long history as members of the volunteer movement. The group threw its weight behind Modi ahead of his crushing 2014 election victory over Congress.

Over the past couple of years, the organization has become even more influential and managed to place its ardent followers in the highest ranks of government. RSS says it has recently seen a spike in its membership requests, indicating its growing popularity among sections of the Indian populace…

Thai Cave Rescue: Divers Prepare to Resume Phase 3 — Live Updates

The high-risk rescue operation is ongoing for the four boys and their coach who remain trapped in the cave in Thailand. Four boys were rescued Sunday and an additional four emerged Monday.

The head of the rescue mission says their plan is based on bringing four people out each day. That’s partly because it takes about 20 hours to re-set all of the oxygen tanks they use inside the cave during the rescues. So it is not clear if all five of those remaining inside will get out on Tuesday.

Researchers Say AMD Processors Have Serious Vulnerabilities and Backdoors

Security researchers announced a series of 13 vulnerabilities within AMD’s RYZEN and EPYC processors that could make some data breaches even worse.

Security researchers warned Tuesday that some AMD processors contain “critical” vulnerabilities, as well as backdoors that the researchers claimed were put in place in systems outsourced to a third-party manufacturer by AMD. The 13 different vulnerabilities were found in AMD Secure Processor, which is used in the company’s EPYC and Ryzen CPUs. These bugs would allow hackers who have already gained a foothold into a computer to install persistent and hard-to-detect malware, researchers warned.

CTS Labs, a Tel Aviv-based hardware security company announced the vulnerabilities on a sleek ad hoc website and in videos published Tuesday. The company also published a white paper that explains what the vulnerabilities are without including their full technical details.

Among the most explosive claims in the white paper is the idea that there are “an array of hidden manufacturer backdoors inside AMD’s Promontory chipsets” and “the Ryzen and Ryzen Pro chipsets, currently shipping with exploitable backdoors, could not have passed even the most rudimentary white-box security review.”

The white paper says that the backdoors were put in place by Taiwanese manufacturer ASMedia, a subsidiary of ASUSTeK, which was recently fined by the FTC for ignoring hardware vulnerabilities. The backdoors “[raise] concerning questions regarding security practices, auditing, and quality controls at AMD,” the researchers wrote in the paper.

“It’s very, very bad. This is probably as bad as it gets in the world of security,” CTS Labs CEO Ido Li On told Motherboard in a phone call.

ASMedia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Gang of Poachers Eaten by Lions After They Broke Into South African Game Reserve

A gang of poachers who broke into a South African game reserve to slaughter a herd of rhinos were attacked and eaten by a pride of hungry lions. A head and a number of bloodied body parts and limbs were found near the scene after at least three illegal hunters were devoured by the predators. Staff at the Sibuya Game Reserve, in Eastern Province, South Africa, called in a helicopter to search the area for more poachers. A vet then had to tranquilise the six lions so police could go inside and recover the remains of the mauled poachers.

Owner Nick Fox, 60, said:…

Bosnia Unwilling to Play EU’s Migration Border Guard

SARAJEVO (AFP) — As EU states look to stem migrant flows to the continent, aspiring European Union member Bosnia is caught in the middle, with thousands of immigrants stuck in the impoverished Balkan country.

The vast majority of migrants and refugees aim to claim asylum inside the 28-nation EU and Bosnia is irritated at European plans which would see their movement halted at its frontier — in effect making Bosnia the continent’s border guard.

Illegal Fined $280 for Killing FBI Agent, Fire Marshal

WASHINGTON — An illegal-alien motorist ran down an FBI agent and a fire marshal just outside the nation’s capital but got no jail time, did not have to appear for trial and was fined $280 for the “careless” driving.

Roberto Garza Palacios, 28, who arrived in the U.S. from Guatemala and overstayed his visa was found guilty of driving in a “careless and imprudent manner,” but without “gross deviation,” in a hearing in which he did not have to appear last month. He was not held responsible for the deaths of Deputy Chief State Fire Marshal Sander Cohen and FBI Special Agent Carlos Wolff in December of last year.

The case is now closed as he paid his fine June 25.

Cohen and Wolf were standing on the side of the road on I-270 in Montgomery County, Maryland, when they were struck by the Honda Accord driven by Garza Palacios. Wolff crashed earlier and Cohen had stopped to help. Garza Palacios told authorities that he couldn’t swerve right and went left — not seeing the two men. His vehicle struck Wolff and another car hit Cohen at the crash scene. Wolff died in the hospital while Cohen died at the scene.

Italy: No One Can Stop Migrant Ships Docking — Spataro

Non-refoulement principle enshrined in 1951 Geneva convention

(ANSA) — Turin, July 9 — No on can stop migrant ships docking in Italy because the 1951 Geneva convention on refugees lays down the right to non-refoulement,” Turin Chief Prosecutor Armando Spataro said Monday. Spataro was speaking as he illustrated his office’s new guidelines against hate crimes.

“Taking an absurd argument, if a migrant ship arrived in Turin at the Murazzi (docking point) on the Po and someone tried to stop whoever was on it from landing, I would start a probe.

No one can stop a migrant boat from docking”.

Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has stopped NGO migrant ships from docking in Italy and wants to extend the ban to navy ships of other nations.

The Truth Behind the ‘Abolish ICE’ Protest at the Statue of Liberty (Video)

On July 4 2018, members of a radical leftist group called “Rise and Resist” protested Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Statue of Liberty. One of the Rise and Resist members, Patricia Okoumou, climbed the Statue of Liberty, which caused a major headache for park officials and police and made her an immediate star of the left.

“Rise and Resist” is an organization closely allied with another organization called “Gays Against Guns.” Jay W. Walker, wearing the pink shorts above, was interviewed with Patricia Okoumou by a gushing Joy Reid of MSNBC (see interview below). Jay Walker is also a “leader” of “Refuse Fascism,” a front group for an organization called the “Revolutionary Communist Party.” Incidentally, Refuse Fascism was initiated by a group of comrades which included Obama’s buddy Bill Ayers and radical professor Cornel West.

Joy Reid forgot to mention that part.

‘Freedom From Religion’ Atheists Ignorant of the Constitution

Freedom from religion was not what those who fled the oppression and persecution of European monarchies sought and not what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote the Constitution. Yet the Freedom of Religion Foundation seeks to impose its values and restrict the free exercise of religion guaranteed in the First Amendment…

The FFRF is on a crusade to expunge religious expression from the public square, and the group gets the meaning of “separation of church and state,” a phrase that appears nowhere in the Constitution, all wrong.

  1. Poor South African farmers! Tell them someone not to take it into their heads to believe this strange state that usurped the name “Russia.”

  2. The treachery of May could be her undoing especially if the future polls show the party support falling. Boris may yet rise to take the top job. And this of course will breathe energy into a UKIP party looking like they had no reason left to exist.

  3. Another despicable political “first” shambles for Britain.

A female leader even more treacherous than mutti Merkel.

Why did Sharia May visit Merkel just hours before the
    Cabinet meeting on Friday?

Despite Brexit being declared dead in the water the real
Fight has now just begun, this Prime minister has to go,
Elected on her woeful record as Home Secretary, the
Worst politico to hold this high office in living memory.

Fears of a Labour Government will not stop the most
Die hard Tory Brexit voters punishing her party if she
Remains in office in the next general election.

She will go down in history as the woman who destroyed
The conservative party single handedly, hopefully
Something more democratic and decent will emerge from
    The ashes.

  4. *”France is a ticking timebomb”*

“…. the report describes a host of ills that are well known to all those who serve in the police and gendarmerie, where escalating violence and chronic underfunding are the order of the day……..

In response to the crisis, Grosdidier and Senator Michel Boutant of the Socialist Party have submitted 32 proposals for consideration before the government adopts a budget that could cap security spending for the next several years.”

It is, then, one hundred percent clear. The French state wishes the security services and thus security to fail and is thus actively planning the demise of France.

Game, set, match point -or whatever it is they say.

  5. “Irishman Jailed Two and a Half Years for Fundraising for ISIS”

Hassan Bal is not an Irishman. He might have an Irish passport – in fact does, according to the article – but that does not make him an Irishman.

Note : non-refoulement law ( re. Italy link) prohibits returning migrant/refugees to countries where they will be returned to danger. It does not prohibit denial of access to a refuge country ( unless to do so, say at a border, means the refugee automatically finds himself back in the original country.

So the above term is a “pressure” – someone has to take refugees from international waters or they would be obliged to return to point of origin, hence international organisation is necessary. In reality, you cannot have a ship of people rejected at every port and left to drift and starve at sea, you would raise serious national questions on the fitness of the government, that apart from allowing atrocity. Some will say that way people learn, I question that – different routes would be found is all. So the mere presence of loaded ships puts an ethical demand on any country to accept it. Catch 22, where the solutions are 1. Not creating refugee crisis 2. International management that maintains (supports) refugees as close to their point of origin as possible.

    • Isn’t Libya the closest port when the ‘rescue’ ships pick up their passengers?

      • Often, but it is not to do with the closest port, just the right to return migrants/refugees to original port. As far as Libya is concerned the case would be made that it is not a country that even recognises the migrants, is in a state of semi-war, and migrant/refugees used it as last ditch passage out of necessity, nor able to return to own country. It would then be said to return them would be to throw them back into the frying pan, if not the fire – as illegals in a “non-state” without resources (they and it) . So this is part of the agenda maybe, gaining a foothold in Libya as a clearing or holding point or return point. To be cynical, migrants/refugees have a hundred uses as far as politicians are concerned, they fit the bill. If a clearing point is established in Libya for example, you can see it becoming a hub of influence for western influence in the country.

Have to find another word for refugee/migrants as it is long to type, will use refugrants in future I think.
