Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/16/2018

The latest polls show that an overwhelming majority of Germans — somewhere between 60% and 94%, depending on the poll — support the anti-migration policies of Interior Minister Horst Seehofer over Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open borders. Mr. Seehofer is expected to order troops to the border on Monday, after which he may be sacked by Mrs. Merkel.

In other news, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini banned two more migrant “rescue” boats from landing in Italy.

Alan Dershowitz: Why Locking Manafort Up Before Trial is “Obnoxious to the Constitution” [Video]

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said it was “obnoxious to our Constitution” to put former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort behind bars prior to a trial.

The left is on social media calling him “nuts” and questioning his credibility because he supports doing the right thing no matter the political party. They’re out for blood…

Engage in the Battle to Save America — We’re Approaching Critical Mass

The problem (at least one of the problems) is that we are having trouble seeing because of the incessant smoke screens put before us. I’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it at least a thousand more: turn off the main stream media. They are liars and crooks and they don’t work for the truth, they work for money and position and title and…

Seek the truth. It’s in front of us, even if it’s veiled. Lucky for us we have a president who is bypassing the propaganda machine for the power and money brokers and is talking straight to the patriots. Which leads me to the purpose of this paper: there’s a call to the battle for real Patriots.

You know you who are. You believe the Constitution is the framework for America’s liberty and you know it’s been under siege for ongoing years. You know that if Hillary Rodham Clinton had been elected we may have passed a point of no return. I’m talking about the spirit of the Founding Fathers, of the men and women who have bled, sacrificed and died for America’s liberty and Americans’ freedom from government oppression. It’s time. Pick up your abilities to make change, bring truth, expose deception and engage in the battle. We’re approaching critical mass. We need all hands on deck.

For those who aren’t aware, an assassination attempt was made on our President over the past weekend — with a missile. You heard that right. A missile was launched from what appears to be the USS Louisiana off the coast of Washington State. It was caught by a weather cam around Skunk Bay near the Whidbey Island. Should it have been successful it would have hit Air Force One on its flight over the Aleutian Islands (Alaska). Trump and dozens of other patriots would have been dead, and North Korea or China would have been blamed. We could have been looking at a possible world war…

Regardless of what you believe, a missile was launched off the coast of Washington in the wee hours of Sunday morning. There are pictures to prove it, though the media has done a tremendous job of not covering it and of dismissing what coverage it had to convince us it was a “helicopter”… (because a helicopter looks so much like a missile taking off). [You can read an article with a picture here and here. And rest assured there’s no need to worry because this news station told us right away to put away our tin foil hats because what appears to be a missile is really a helicopter.]

FBI Agent After Interviewing Clinton’s it Staffer: ‘He Lied His A** Off’

The Justice Department inspector general report released Thursday revealed more personal messages between FBI agents working on the Clinton email probe that suggest a cooked outcome.

The report released new messages from an FBI agent who was one of four case officers handling the “day-to-day” activities of the investigation, and one of two FBI agents who interviewed Clinton.

In one exchange in February 2016, the FBI agent, identified only as “Agent 1,” talked to another FBI employee about interviewing Hillary Clinton’s personal IT staffer. The FBI employee asked how the interview went.

Agent 1 replied: “Awesome. Lied his a** off.”

He continued: “Went from never inside the scif [sensitive compartmented information facility] at [Clinton’s residence], to looked in when it was being constructed, to remove the trash twice, to troubleshot the secure fax with HRC a couple times, to everytime there was a secure fax i did it with HRC. Ridic,”

FBI Agents Called Hillary “President” While Investigating Her, Texted “Screw You Trump” On Election Day

One of four FBI agents investigating Hillary Clinton’s email server — not Peter Strzok or Lisa Page, referred to Clinton as “the President” in a text exchange with another FBI employee four days after interviewing the Democratic candidate, according to Thursday’s DOJ Inspector General report…

Then, in a different text exchange with one of the other three Clinton email investigators (not Peter Strzok or Lisa Page), another agent wrote “screw you trump” after the first agent admitted “You should know…that I’m…with her.”

Those FBI investigators were dating at the time and were later married, meaning all four FBI case agents working the Hillary Clinton email investigation — the other two being Peter Strzok and Lisa Page — were ardent Clinton supporters, and at least three harbored animus towards Trump.

Gold Depository Bypassing Federal Reserve Opens in Texas

As was reported in The New American back in July 2015, Texas Governor Greg Abbott had signed a bill passed overwhelmingly by state lawmakers to set up a gold-backed bank that would allow depositors to bypass the controversial Federal Reserve System and its fiat currency in banking and commerce.

That plan has now become a reality, as the Texas Bullion Depository opened in Austin on June 6. The opening of the facility represents a shift away from the federal government’s and the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money. More accurately, we should say, away from Americans’ forced reliance on the government’s fiat currency in place of real, gold-backed money.

Illinois Taxpayers on Hook for Nearly $200 Million for Unwanted Obama Museum… Obama Crony Mayor Emanuel Calls it: “Money Well Spent”

Barack Obama, who grew up in Hawaii, but likes to call Chicago his hometown, has landed the ultimate slap in the face to Chicago residents. The man without a legacy and his good friend, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, are pulling a disgusting bait and switch on Illinois residents. Inspector General Destroys DOJ and FBI Credibility

The Justice Department Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s scandalous email practices is out, and as I predicted, it has destroyed the credibility of the Department of Justice and the FBI.

It confirms what we have investigated and revealed for nearly two years. The Obama DOJ/FBI investigation of Clinton was rushed, half-baked, rigged, and irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump and pro-Clinton bias and actions. It is outrageous to see a politicized FBI and DOJ then so obviously refuse to uphold the rule of law.

Intense Video Shows Cop Shoot Fleeing Man in the Back, Then Get Swarmed by Angry Citizens

An incident that began over an open alcohol container ended with one man in the hospital with two bullet holes in his back, a riot nearly kicking off, and a San Francisco cop under investigation.

Over the weekend, as revelers filled the area for the last game of the NBA finals, a police officer spotted a group with open containers of alcohol and targeted them for arrest or extortion. Not wanting to be arrested or extorted for drinking a can of beer in public, a man in the group, identified as 28-year-old Oliver Barcenas took off running.

A brief foot chase ensued and during the chase, Barcenas was alleged to have taken out a .45 caliber pistol with an extended magazine. Even though video shows Barcenas was still running away when he allegedly pulled out the weapon, the officer in pursuit opened fire, shooting him in the back — twice — causing him to immediately fall to the ground…

In the body camera video released by police this week, we do not see Barcenas point the weapon in the direction of the officer. According to SF Gate, the San Francisco Police Department’s General Order on use of force states that officers may use deadly force only “as a last resort when reasonable alternatives have been exhausted or are not feasible to protect the safety of the public and police officers.”

Judging from what we see in the video, that did not appear to be the case.

“Those videos do not look good,” Supervisor Aaron Peskin said after police played the videos at town hall meeting. “I did not see the part where he takes the jacket off. I did not see the part where anyone is swinging around with a gun.”

Is Your Child Addicted to Fortnite?

Fortnite is quickly taking over the world as the most popular video game, but experts warn of an impending addiction crisis.

Fortnite has hit 125 million players worldwide just a year after it was first released, with an estimated 40 million playing monthly.

The unrivaled popularity of Fortnite among players has partly been fueled by its availability for free on smartphones as well as on traditional home video game consoles, making it popular among teenage gamers as well as seasoned players.

However, experts warn that the popularity of the game is turning into an obsession.

‘It’s quite the phenomenon among kids in my practice,’ said child psychologist Randy Kulman to Live Science.

Many psychologists have described patients who are ‘obsessed’ with the game, playing it thousands of times, sometimes through the night, and even becoming violent when their parents intervene.

A nine-year-old girl from the United Kingdom is in now rehab after becoming so addicted to Fortnite she wet herself to avoid moving and hit her father when he tried to stop her playing.

Lawnmower Trips Explosive Device Lying in the Grass Causing Large Explosion in Upper Bucks County

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) — FBI and ATF agents descended on to Brick Tavern Road near Allentown Road in Milford Township, Bucks County after a loud explosion was heard Thursday afternoon.

It was around 1 p.m. that Melissa Pfistner said she heard the blast.

She said she was working while her children were upstairs and after the boom a bookcase fell over.

It turns out a worker was cutting the grass across the street with a tractor-driven mower when his blades struck an explosive device. It left behind a two-foot wide crater that was about two-and-a-half inches deep…

Loyalty to Self

The DOJ Horowitz Report demonstrates that there are no limits to James Comey’s hypocrisy and self-regard.

The Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General’s long-awaited report found no explicit political agenda or motivation for former FBI director James Comey’s “extraordinary” violations of FBI and DOJ rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Nor did the 568-page report challenge Comey’s decision not to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email in handling secret information while serving as President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State. “We found no evidence that the conclusions by department prosecutors were affected by bias or other improper considerations,” concluded Michael Horowitz, the independent-minded inspector general, after reviewing 1.2 million documents and interviewing more than 100 witnesses.

The report is silent on what motivated Comey’s stunning errors of judgment in breaking with longstanding policy by publicly discussing his investigation into Clinton’s handling of secret government information. But while the report does not address his personal motivation, it devastates the decisions and actions Comey has tried for months to defend—in congressional testimony, a bestselling book, and a much publicized book tour in which he has accused President Donald Trump of violating the Constitution, American law, and being unfit for office.

“Insubordinate” is what the report calls Comey’s disregard of the FBI’s and the Justice Department’s “established procedures and norms” and his repeated preference for his “own subjective, ad hoc decision-making.” The inspector general’s verdict on that conduct affirms Trump’s decision to fire Comey, and is likely to haunt the former FBI director for the rest of his professional life. And it should.

The weighty report’s point-by-point criticism of Comey’s deviation from rules and procedures suggests a motivation.[…]

Man Catches Cops on Video Framing Him to Justify Blowing Up His Door and Raiding Home

A barber was asleep on the couch in his apartment when a SWAT team blew the front door off of its hinges with such force that it flew across the room and landed on top of him. The officers stormed his apartment, arrested him, and then later informed him that he had been accused of selling $100 worth of cocaine to a confidential informant.

In an exclusive interview with The Free Thought Project, Roderick Talley said he has video evidence that the informant — who he claimed has a long arrest record — lied about the sale. The fake drug buy led to a very real search warrant, and when the SWAT team did not find cocaine in Talley’s apartment, they claimed to have found cannabis instead. Armed with footage of the fake cocaine purchase, Talley and his attorney requested a probable cause hearing. Prosecutors promptly dropped all charges against Talley who is now calling out Little Rock Police for using unreliable, and even criminal “informants” as probable cause to obtain what he believes are illegal search warrants, which have led to more than 50 unconstitutional searches, seizures, and illegal charges against a mainly minority community.

Talley told TFTP that he initially installed a doorbell camera because he has been a victim of burglary multiple times. He also installed a surveillance system inside his apartment. When the supposed cocaine sale took place, Talley was at the barber shop cutting hair. He and his friends all watched the sale happen on live video, which was also stored on a cloud-based hard drive. He said he and his friends were laughing when the so-called informant came to the door because no one was home at the time. From there, the police department took the sworn testimony of a known criminal and used it to obtain a search warrant, signed by a judge, and later executed by SWAT team members.

The fake cocaine purchase was caught on a doorbell camera showing no one even came to the door to speak to the informant, let alone sell him cocaine. A day later, the surveillance camera captured a member of the Narcotics Street Team taking pictures of Talley’s front door.

NYPD’s Bernard Kerik Calls Out DOJ/FBI for Targeting Trump: “No Greater Threat” To America [Video]

Former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik: “There’s no greater threat to our democracy than a government that weaponizes its criminal justice system to target its citizens and in this case the target today is the President of the United States.”

Kerik nails it in this one statement on Fox & Friends: Prosecutors…they’re not supposed to break the law to enforce it. And that’s what we’ve seen consistently over the last two years. There are tens of thousands of people sitting in prison for far less than Hillary Clinton did. I watched that 15 minute thirty eight second clip where Jim Comey outlines an outrageous indictment against Hillary Clinton only to say no reasonable prosecutor would bring that case. That’s a lie…

Kerik slams Comey: Don’t tell me nobody would bing that case! Kerik goes on to list the crimes committed by Hillary Clinton and then says “somebody threw that case”.

Kerik isn’t the only one who believes the IG report is a sham:

Andrew McCarthy has a fantastic piece in National Review today about the corruption within the intel agencies:

Andrew McCarthy: Once law enforcement saw the virtue in self-policing, in a duty to expose and purge itself of rogue actors. Now, it tends toward not just burying bad behavior but — the best defense being a good offense — hiding it behind claims of a job well done, behind claims that its ends are so noble its means are justified no matter how unseemly.

Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 and the Coup

Before leaving office, Obama nullified the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 mandating the media to report honestly thereby creating the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 allowing the media to create the narrative and much biased “fake” news that disrupts our thinking and since that time, there has been an unthinkable increase in the number of suspicious mass mediate “terrorist” events in the US and EU. The coverage and discourse surrounding these incidents have directly paralleled heightened police state measures and calls for stricter gun control laws. [Link]

SPLC Exposes Epidemic of Nonexistent White-on-Black Violence

Much to the relief of news directors everywhere, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) released this week its long-awaited report about the Biggest Lie that the baddest people believe: The myth of black on white crime.

The real problem is white on black violence, says the SPLC in its new fairy tale called “Hate: The Biggest Lie.” And this white on black crime has been going on for a long time, doing a lot of damage, including from killers like Dylan Roof.

And besides, says the report at great length, Roof is merely the intellectual love child of other really really bad people like William Shockey and Jared Taylor whose work includes the unanswerable — even unaskable — questions: What’s up with all this black violent crime? And why is black on white crime so wildly out of proportion?

And what would happen to the real numbers for black crime look if we eliminated witness intimidation, stitches for snitches, and the self-fulfilling prophecy of getting rid of the cradle to prison pipeline because there are too many black people in prison for no reason whatsoever? (Spoiler Alert: They would go from very very bad, to ridiculously bad.)

Any how do so many people get away with blaming all this black criminal dysfunction on other people?

The SPLC cares desperately about these questions: That is why they work so hard to make sure no one is allowed to ask them.

What a long and transparent list this is:

Splitting California Into 3 Pieces is Long Overdue

As we detailed earlier, it now looks like California voters will have the chance to vote on whether or not the state ought to be split up into three pieces.

As Ryan McMaken, via The Mises Institute, notes, this latest move is just one of many efforts over many decades to split California up, and make its constituent parts more responsive to the people who live there. This effort, however, is more successful than past ones — for example, the 2016 proposed ballot measure breaking up California into six states. That one failed to qualify for the ballot.

To say the least, breaking up California into smaller pieces is something that is long overdue. The population of California is a massive 39 million, making it larger than either Canada or Peru. And the GDP produced by that state is enormous as well. If California were an independent country, it would have an economy larger than that of the United Kingdom.

This means the California government — which can (and does) skim off substantial portions of that wealth — is among the richest governments in the world.

Moreover, the government holds a monopoly of power over a vast area which includes some of the best real estate in the world. Much of North America’s best coastlines, mountains, natural harbors, forests, and mountains are contained within California.

And, here’s one of the best things about being a huge state (from the government’s perspective): the government can make it extremely inconvenient to escape it: “You don’t like our policies? Well, then, feel free to move hundreds of miles away to Phoenix or Reno.”

It’s no wonder then, that the government of California has been able to abuse its taxpayers so freely.

Taste the Despair: Democrats Losing it Over Trump

It seems the Republican National Committee (RNC)’s cash advantage over the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is even more pronounced than the numbers — $43.8 million to $3.4 million — indicate. As long as Democrats like Nancy Pelosi vainly ignore, downplay, or even badmouth good to excellent to record-breaking (in more ways than one) economic numbers — and in the process beclown themselves — the RNC will have to spend next to nothing when it comes to creating ads for the midterm elections.

Pelosi, in particular, is the gift that keeps on giving to the GOP. Cementing herself as one of our nation’s most morally and economically ignorant citizens, just prior to the GOP passing — and President Trump signing — sweeping tax reform legislation in December of last year, Mrs. Pelosi went on a historically foolish rant.

Awash in hyperbole and hypocrisy — remember, she leads the party that stands for, among other immoral outrageousness, the “right” to kill the most helpless and innocent among us, the “right” for boys to take trophies from girls, and the legal redefinition of the oldest institution in the history of humanity — she accused Republicans of embracing “moral obscenity and unrepentant greed.”

Blind to her extreme “plutocracy hypocrisy,” the 78-year-old grandmother, who’s been in Congress for over 31 years and has a reported net worth of over $100 million, claimed that a vote for the GOP tax bill was “a vote to install a permanent plutocracy in our nation.” Forgetting that she represents those who hate our Founders and our military and those who think children are a “punishment,” Mrs. Pelosi also claimed that the GOP tax bill “does violence to the vision of our Founders” and “disrespects the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. And it betrays the future and betrays the aspirations of our children.”

The Enemy of the America People

This newfound media environment is a direct result of the corruption in American journalism today

A free press has served Americans in many positive ways since the founding of our nation. We need a free press to serve as a watchdog on our government and to keep our politicians honest. Since the founding of our nation, responsible members of the press have reported on issues such as political corruption, the waste of taxpayer money, and the abuse of political power, among many other vital topics. Journalism started moving in a very liberal direction around the start of the Vietnam War

Unfortunately, journalism has become corrupted through the years. In the past, great reporters only had a commitment to undercover the truth, no matter the political consequences. Today, journalism has become infected with a toxic liberalism. Progressive reporters focus their energies on pursuing stories that will harm Republicans, especially conservatives. Their greatest joy is to undercover or report negative stories about President Donald Trump, a person they truly despise. In fact, many of these corrupt liberal reporters have no qualms about manufacturing negative Trump stories if necessary.

During the Obama years, political journalists spent most of their time defending and promoting a President they adored. This outlook completely changed after the election of Donald Trump as President. Since his inauguration, the press coverage from the three major broadcast networks has been over 90% negative, according to the Media Research Center.

The Rainbow Conspiracy Part 10: How Steve Phillip & His Allies Won the 2017 Alabama US Senate Race

It is almost certain that without the intervention of Steve Phillips and the help of his old communist networks across Alabama, Doug Jones would not be a US Senator today. President Trump would have one more vote in the Senate and the Republic would be at least slightly less imperiled.

San Francisco lawyer, senior Democratic Party operative and stealth socialist Steve Phillips is using his wealth and influence to destroy the Republican Party’ s southern base. First, his people helped turn Virginia from deep red to purple-leaning blue, then they “ stole” a “ safe” US Senate seat in Alabama.

Conservative Republican Judge Roy Moore should have easily won his December 2017 special US Senate election against Democrat Doug Jones. It was a shoo-in. But when Moore was damaged by historic sexual impropriety allegations, Steve Phillips and his friends smelled blood in the water and they moved in for the kill.

On December 13, 2017, the Chicago-based Midwest Academy gave Steve Phillips one of its two annual “ Progressive Leadership” awards.

This was one day after Democrat Doug Jones had defeated Roy Moore in the Alabama special election and Midwest knew where the real credit lay.

Midwest Academy is so honored to give Steve Phillips, Founder of Democracy in Color an award TONIGHT as he was one of the architects of the victory in Alabama.

Midwest Academy is one of the country’ s premier “ community organizer” factories. Dominated for years by Democratic Socialists of America members, Midwest has taught thousands of young radicals the theory and tactics of the legendary Saul Alinsky — then turned them loose on unsuspecting communities across America.

Steve Phillips has several connections to the Midwest Academy Board.

Unbreakable Smart Lock Devastated to Discover Screwdrivers Exist

Tapplock: Once, twice, three times a screwup

The first major flaw was in the way it used Bluetooth to lock and unlock. Andrew Tierney, aka cybergibbons, reviewed the lock for Pen Test Partners, and it took him less than hour to find a way to open every single Tapplock.

How is that possible? Well, it turns out the lock broadcast its own Bluetooth MAC address over the airwaves, and uses that MAC address to calculate a key used to lock and unlock the device.

Tierney cracked the system disturbingly quickly: “It upper cases the BLE MAC address and takes an MD5 hash. The 0-7 characters are key1, and the 16-23 are the serial number.” The upshot? He was able to write a script, port it to an Android app, and open any nearby Tapplock wirelessly using his phone and Bluetooth, taking less than two seconds each time.

“This level of security is completely unacceptable,” he complained. “Consumers deserve better, and treating your customers like this is hugely disrespectful. To be honest, I am lost for words.”

Japan Suspends Sale of Canadian Wheat Over Discovery of Monsanto-Made GMO

The Japanese Agriculture Ministry suspended its tender and sale of wheat from Canada on Friday. This comes as grain containing a genetically-modified trait was discovered last summer in Canada’s Alberta province.

“We are suspending the tender and sale of Canadian wheat until we confirm that the Canadian wheat that Japan buys contains no GMO,” an official at the Japanese farm ministry said. Japan was the top buyer of Canadian wheat until the mid-2000s, importing millions of tons.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the wheat discovered near a rural road in Alberta underwent herbicide spraying and was not approved for commercial use. It contained a genetically-modified trait developed by Monsanto to withstand the weed-killer Roundup, the CFIA said on Thursday.

The agency’s director of the plant production division, David Bailey, assured that the wheat has been destroyed and the CFIA will monitor the area for three years to verify that it does not become established.

Jordan Peterson Threatens to Sue Feminist Professor Who Called Him an Incel

Report: Order to Send Tommy Robinson to Heavily Muslim-Populated Prison Came — From “The Top”

Activist’s safety in danger as a result of ‘high risk’ status being removed from his file

The order to send Tommy Robinson to a heavily Muslim-populated prison came from “the top,” according to the activist’s manager.

As we reported yesterday, Robinson was moved from a low security prison in Hull to a high security prison in the Midlands with a significantly higher Muslim population, putting his life in danger.

According to a new update from Robinson’s manager Caolan Robertson, “Orders came from ‘the top’ to move him.”

Robertson adds that references to Robinson being a high risk prisoner were removed from his file and that’s why he was placed on a wing with many Muslim prisoners.

According to Robertson, Robinson’s new cell “consists of just a blue mat on the floor”.

The activist’s manager also confirms that an Imam at the prison, “Was telling other inmates that Tommy was arriving the day before he was transferred. The governor and guards from both prisons had no idea of this move until the second it happened.”

“Prisoners were banging on the walls ‘all night’ and screaming his name. Death threats were echoing through the new wing. An ‘official contract’ has been put out to have him killed, within the prison. He is well but very concerned,” added Robertson.

Last night, Dutch MP and opposition leader Geert Wilders reacted the news by pointing the finger at Britain’s new Home Secretary Sajid Javid and Prime Minister Theresa May.

“If he’s hurt you will have blood on your hands and people all over the world will hold you accountable. Be wise and release him. Now,” tweeted Wilders.

[Comment: Should anything, God forbid happen to Tommy, then each person in the political apparatus that played a part in the conspiracy of imprisoning Tommy has blood on their hands and is also guilty of his murder. To knowingly, and with malice aforethought, place an individual forcibly in harms way is murder.]

UKIP MEP on Brexit Future: ‘One of the Biggest Betrayals’ In UK History

Britain’s Labour party suffered major divisions on Europe, with more than half the party’s backbenchers defying the party whip. In a vote on a Lords amendment that would in effect mean staying in the EEA, 75 backbenchers defied party instructions to abstain and voted for the EEA. A further 15, also defying the party whip, voted against.

Sputnik spoke to Bill Etheridge, UKIP MEP for the West Midlands for more on the situation.

Sputnik: following the recent scenes we’ve seen in the commons over the past few days, what does this mean for Brexit?

Bill Etheridge: I think Brexit no longer means independence. I think that the MPs who are supposed to represent the views of the people have taken it upon themselves; that they know better and there are desperate efforts going on from the MPs and the unelected Lords, to try and completely derail the wish of the people and to force us to remain in the group of the EU.

Sputnik: it seems the government is adamant that parliament considers the Norwegian EEA model… if this was the model of Brexit Britain follows what effect would it have on the country?

Bill Etheridge: Any model of Brexit that we follow that is not complete independence, is A) not what the people asked for and B) allows us to be controlled, to some degree, by foreign powers. This is a perfect example of weak leadership, being able to take her own party with her, having to make concessions and good deals and in the process of making deals and concessions the whole meaning of what people are supposed to be voting for is lost.

Undercover at the World’s Most Secretive Society: Mail Reporter Infiltrates Shadowy Bilderberg Summit Where the West’s Power Brokers Set the World to Rights

On the first day of my new job as a hotel waitress — before I have a chance to polish a glass or proffer a canapé — I’m primed in detail about how to enter the building. Not via the front foyer, but circuitously through a ‘secret staff entrance’.

It is imperative I memorise the route, I’m told by the briskly efficient restaurant manager, who steers me through it, via an obscure door by a KFC outlet in a low-rent shopping mall.

We then travel up two floors in a shabby service lift, past a phalanx of security men, through an underground delivery area, past bins, a staff canteen and along a harshly lit subterranean corridor that smells of urine.

Another staff lift disgorges us into the hotel kitchen, through two swing doors and finally into the light and bustle of its restaurant and gleaming lobby.

I arrive back downstairs to see a much-diminished Henry Kissinger being escorted in a wheelchair across the marbled floor by two suited men.

At 95, Mr Kissinger, former U.S. Secretary of State, is one of Bilderberg’s oldest and most regular delegates. The alleged war criminal has been attending intermittently since 1957.

Demis Hassabis, the British computer game designer behind Google’s DeepMind, then asks me for directions to the ‘dinner’. Improvising, I direct him vaguely down the corridor.

A jovial man in glasses also approaches me to ask where ‘the conference’ is. It is Jose Manuel Barroso, former president of the European Commission, now chairman of Goldman Sachs International. He is surrounded by four people all clamouring to talk to him, and he looks like the cat that got the cream.

All attendees are also given yellow paper ‘score cards’ on which they must give TripAdvisor-style self-evaluation assessments of talks. On each form delegates must rate discussions on a scale of one to five including ‘importance of topic’, ‘quality of panellist’, ‘interaction’ and so on.

The discussions include such subjects as: ‘Populism In Europe’, ‘The U.S. Before Mid-Terms’ (in other words, Donald Trump) ‘The Future Of Work’, ‘Jobs, Skills, Wages’ and ‘Whither Free Trade?’ — plus the more ambiguous ‘Where Are We?’

The gifts included Italian toiletries, a coffee-table art book with foreword from the Agnelli family, and mints branded with sketches of the Lingotto Fiat building

One hot topic currently dominating the agenda in Europe — immigration — was noticeable by its absence. And, as with so many corporate jamborees, each attendee is given a blue-and-white goodie-bag at the end, tagged with the message: ‘A gift from the Italian hosts of Bilderberg thanks to the generosity of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.’…

Sikhs in Peshawar Flee After Attacks by Islamic Fundamentalists in Pakistan

Plights of Peshawar Sikhs have no limit….

Navjot Singh Sandhu | HENB | New Delhi | June 14, 2018:: Plights of Peshawar Sikhs have no limit as they have been attacked by fundamental Islamic fanatics in Pakistan since years back. While many outfits belonging to pseudo Akali and hard-liners Khalistani are keeping close connection with many Islamist groups in Pakistan and run their propaganda against India and Hindus, those organisations maintain silence on the brutal attacks on Sikh people in Pakistan’s Peshawar. Peshawar is the capital of Pakistani province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the entire region is commonly known as Peshawar.

Afraid of targeted killings, Sikh families from Peshawar city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan are fleeing to safety days after killing of members of Sikh community including a local Sikh religious leader in recent time . As matter of fact, Pakistan’s minority Sikh community is dispersing to other parts of the country from Peshawar after repeated attacks by Islamic fundamentalists.

Peshawar has a population of about 30,000 Sikhs, out of which, 60 per cent has left for other parts of Pakistan to avoid living under a constant threat.

This gravity comes after, Charanjeet Singh, a peace activist and grocery store owner was shot by a customer in Pakistan. Charanjeet was killed for not attending to the customer as he was busy. He died on his way to the hospital, a report by TRT world said…

Pompeo: North Korea Lied About Trump Making Concessions on Sanctions

After briefing a group of reporters in Seoul, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke in South Korea accompanied by his Japanese and South Korean counterparts, where he insisted that Kim Jong Un was lying about President Trump making concessions on the lifting of economic sanctions. Pompeo insisted that the North wouldn’t benefit from complete sanctions relief until after the country had completely given up its nuclear arsenal.

During the meeting, Pompeo was pressed about President Trump’s purported commitment to a “step-by-step” process, as well as whether the president “expressed his intention” to lift sanctions — assertions that contradicted Trump’s pledge to keep sanctions in place until Kim’s weapons had been destroyed.

“Chairman Kim Jong Un understands the urgency of the timing of completing this denuclearization, and understands we must do this quickly,” Pompeo told reporters. “And the sanctions relief cannot take place until such time as we have demonstrated that North Korea has been completely denuclearized.”

Pompeo is briefing North Asian leaders on Trump’s historic summit with Kim, traveling to Seoul to brief Moon Jae-in, the South Korean leader, before he visits Beijing next to brief Chinese leaders.

Arizona Rancher Warns: The One Thing America Needs to Stop Border Violence

Ranchers at the border between Mexico and the US are literally on the front lines in the battle between drug cartels, illegal criminals and gang violence. The only thing separating them from this is sometimes a flimsy fence. Can you imagine? The Texas Border Volunteers are made up of volunteers and ranchers who have decided to fight the battle themselves. They capture illegals and then turn them over to the border patrol. This group of ranchers knows exactly what is needed to end the chaos on the border… THE WALL!

Via Washington Times:

Jim Chilton has long warned the government about the few strands of barbed wire that separate Mexico from the U.S. on his Arizona ranch.

He says the lack of a serious barrier, combined with the Border Patrol’s enforcement decisions, have effectively ceded miles of U.S. territory to the Sinaloa cartel, which has put scouts on his hilltops and blazed smuggling trails across his land.

Italy and the Will to Say ‘No!’

New populist government closes all ports to “migrants”

The refusal by Italy’s new “populist” coalition government of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement and the hard right Lega to allow an NGO vessel with 629 African migrants masquerading as refugees on board to dock in Italy is an historic act.

The global liberal left, which regards mass immigration as crucial to the realization of its dream of creating a multicultural world without borders, is outraged.

French President Emmanuel Macron — the current golden boy in Europe — said on Tuesday that the decision by Italy was “cynical” and “irresponsible.” The spokesman of his party “En Marche!” described it as “nauseating.” Bien pensant liberals across the European continent agreed.

But despite them, Italy’s new populist government is determined to fulfill the pledge to the Italian people made during the election campaign by the leader of the Lega, Matteo Salvini, who is now interior minister and deputy prime minister in the new government: to stop any more migrants being ferried to Italy by sea from Libya and deport all of the 500,000 arrivals who are not refugees.

These European Countries Are Refusing to Accept the Unchecked Influx of Migrants

Much has been written about the unchecked influx of migrants into Europe recently. As the EU promotes the warm, fuzzy, “inclusive” policies that are overwhelming countries with immigrants, some of those countries are bluntly starting to say, “no more.” At the same time, other countries seem to be quietly preparing for…something… without being quite so forthcoming about the event for which they are readying themselves.

Millions of refugees and asylum seekers, primarily from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Somalia are flowing into Europe, largely unchecked. This is because of a welcoming “open door” policy promoted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel back in 2015. Despite the backlash from Europeans, Merkel says she has “no regrets.”

But some overwhelmed countries have decided that enough is enough. They cite the refugees’ refusal to assimilate, increasing crime statistics (particularly against women), and no-go zones in which the migrants have banded together and created areas in which Europeans are not welcome.

The European Union is so displeased about this that they’ve taken 3 of their member countries to court for refusing to “share the burden of hosting migrants.”

I don’t have a crystal ball, but I wonder if we could see this disagreement becoming a catalyst for the dissolution of the European Union.

  1. “Mr. Seehofer is expected to order troops to the border on Monday, after which he may be sacked by Mrs. Merkel.”

He’s one of the old guard too and frankly I think this is merely a cynical move of one who knows which way the wind is blowing and wants to position himself in a good light for when a new order emerges.

Where was he in 2015? Or years before in fact?

    Don’t trust them.

    • He opposed her mad policy from the very beginning but she wouldn’t listen to him. She isn’t now either.

      • Rosie,

I hear what you’re saying but it’s nothing more than political posturing to give the impression of political divide. “Look you sheep, we have a democracy”……

        Do.Not.Trust.Them.

Ultimatum indeed. I would put every cent I have that Seehofer and Angie had howling laughs with each other over that one with a few beers in a private back room.

        Trust is gone.
