Eurozone Crisis: Start ‘Deficit Procedure’ Against Italy, EU Urged as Brussels Panics

With fears of Eurozone ‘debt-pooling’ mounting, German FDP party leader Christian Lindner has warned single currency’s banking union could become a debt “transfer union through the back door”.

EU governments and financial markets are nervously watching on as a new government in Italy finally takes shape and Mr Christian Lindner has demanded pre-emptive action against Italy.

He told German newspaper Spiegel: “The European Commission should initiate the long-awaited excessive deficit procedure against Italy.”

In a quite direct ‘threat’ to the newly formed Italian coalition, Moody’s warned that Italy will face a downgrade from its current Baa2 rating (potentially more than one notch to junk status) due to the lack of fiscal restraint in the new “contract” and the potential for delays to Italy’s structural reforms.

GDPR Day: New European Union Rules Leave Readers Unable to Access Dozens of U.S. Newspapers Online

The launch day of wide-reaching new data laws implemented by the European Union saw dozens of United States newspapers blocked to users in Europe as companies struggle to match the requirements of the legislation.

The perhaps unintended consequence became apparent Friday as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws came into force, and saw news websites owned by Tronc and Lee Enterprises greet European visitors. Those trying to access newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News, and the Baltimore Sun were met with a landing page stating: “Unfortunately, our website is currently unavailable in most European countries.”

Student Says Science Teacher Tackled Indiana Middle School Shooting Suspect; 2 Wounded — Chicago Tribune

A male student armed with two handguns opened fire at a suburban Indianapolis middle school Friday morning, wounding another student and a teacher before being taken into custody, authorities said.

Seventh-grader Ethan Stonebraker said his science teacher, Jason Seaman, likely prevented even more injuries by confronting the shooter, who he said pulled out a gun and opened fire while the class was taking a test.

“Our science teacher immediately ran at him, swatted a gun out of his hand and tackled him to the ground,” Stonebraker said. “If it weren’t for him, more of us would have been injured for sure.”

The attack at Noblesville West Middle School happened around 9 a.m., police Chief Kevin Jowitt said at a news conference. He said the suspect asked to be excused from class before returning with the guns, and investigators believe he acted alone.

“We do know the situation resolved extremely quickly,” Jowitt said.

Seaman’s brother, Jeremy Seaman, told The Indianapolis Star that his brother was shot three times and was undergoing surgery. He said he was conscious after the shooting and talked with his wife, telling her he was OK.

Jeremy Seaman, who now lives in Arizona, said his brother was a defensive end for Southern Illinois University ‘s football team and has never been a person to run away…

Update: Pedestrians Struck by SUV Near PSU

Update 12:51 pm

A male suspect appears to be in custody. According to Portland police, officers apprehended the suspect in a blue Mazda Tribute near NE 16 Ave. and Glisan St.

[…]

Update 11:53 am:

PSU has put out a statement on this morning’s hit-and-run:

On Friday morning, a vehicle struck pedestrians walking on the sidewalk near SW 6th Ave. and SW Montgomery St. on the PSU campus. Three pedestrians who were injured are hospitalized with serious injuries. The names of the victims have not been released. Portland police are investigating the incident. PSU’s campus remains open, except for areas closed by police for the investigation.

PSU’s Dean of Student Life’s office and Center for Student Health and Counseling will provide assistance and support to any members of the PSU community who may have been impacted by this incident.

ORIGINAL POST:

The driver of a blue SUV or sedan reportedly drove onto a sidewalk near SW 6th and SW Montgomery St around 10 am, hitting at least three women before driving off.

According to witnesses in the area, it appears that the driver “intentionally” ran over the victims, but Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Chris Burley has said he cannot confirm this. At a 11:15 press conference, Burley said officers have yet to track down the car and/or the subject. The three women have been sent to the hospital, and two of them have “serious, life-threatening injuries.”

Witness Christopher Bond says he says driver was going about 35-40 mph when they hit the victims, and that the vehicle is bluish-purple with tinted windows. He didn’t catch a glimpse of the driver…

WSJ Exposes the Real ‘Constitutional Crisis’

The Wall Street Journal continues to counter the liberal mainstream media’s anti-Trump-ness, dropping uncomfortable truth-bombs and refusing to back off its intense pressure to get to the truth and hold those responsible, accountable; in a forum that is hard for the establishment to shrug off as ‘Alt-Right’ or ‘Nazi’ or be ‘punished’ by search— and social-media-giants.

And once again Kimberley Strassel — who by now has become the focus of social media attacks for her truth-seeking reporting — does it again this morning, as she asks, rhetorically, why the FBI and Justice Department continuing evading congressional oversight?

Canada’s Beach Jihad

Brad Hammond lives on the waterfront at Kirby’s Beach in Ontario, and he had never seen anything like it: glass shards and sewing needles had been deliberately planted at intervals along the beach, leading to the beach being closed for the first time in his memory. Another beach area, Bracebridge Bay Park, was closed as well. For the first time, but not likely the last, jihad had come to the beaches of Ontario.

There is no doubt that the glass and needles had been placed on the beach deliberately. “It was pretty much the width of the beach but it was in clumps, so you could tell it had been seeded in different areas,” Hammond said. Global News added that “Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith said the discovery of the needles and glass goes beyond what municipal staff would typically encounter after a spring melt.”

But who did this? Global News professed not to know, saying: “What remains unclear is who is responsible.” However, several weeks ago, Toronto-area media outlets received a letter purporting to be from a group called the Islamic Revolutionary Force, vowing to “destroy your beaches from Toronto to North Bay.”

Brexit: New Zealand Willing to Forgive Britain for ‘Betraying’ Commonwealth to Enter the EU

Leading New Zealanders have said the country is willing to forgive Britain for its “betrayal” of the Commonwealth in the 1970s, when Prime Minister Edward ‘Ted’ Heath severed many of the country’s commercial ties to enter the EEC, as the EU was called at the time.

EU: How to Stop Mass-Migration From Africa? Bring Everyone to Europe!

While the focus on illegal migration remains, the original goal of stopping African citizens from migrating into Europe appears to have been lost entirely. Instead, the declaration pronounces African legal migration to be a positive thing, even stressing the beneficial idea of migration of certain groups, such as researchers and business people.

No one seems to ask how draining Africa of skilled labor, such as businessmen and researchers, is going to help the continent develop and thus stem the trend of migration?

The Hungarian government appears to be the only government that considers whether the citizens it was elected to serve would support the declaration. Other European governments appear to think that asking their electorates what they think about African migration into Europe is irrelevant.

Chest pain and hart attacks atacking sportsmen high up in the mountains are in my humble opinion caused by cell phones increasing their power output when they are far away from BTS. Lack of rest and good night sleep also. That is why I have my mountain refuge where I can turn all electricity off. A man can sleep for a week there…

I disagree however, that the western governments do not know about it. rather the contrary. The armies are hard at work on electromagnetic mood controls and such…
