An “Audible Gasp” Was Heard When the Chicago Fed Unveiled Its “Solution” To the Pension Problem

An audible gasp went out in the breakout room I was in at last month’s pension event cosponsored by The Civic Federation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. That was when a speaker from the Chicago Fed proposed levying, across the state and in addition to current property taxes, a special property assessment they estimate would be about 1% of actual property value each year for 30 years.

Evidently, that wasn’t reality-shock enough. This week the Chicago Fed published that proposal formally. It’s linked here.

It surely ranks among the most blatantly inhumane and foolish ideas we’ve seen yet.

Homeowners with houses worth $250,000 would pay an additional $2,500 per year in property taxes, those with homes worth $500,000 would pay an additional $5,000, and those with homes worth $1 million would pay an additional $10,000.

Is the Chicago Fed blind to human consequences? Confiscatory property tax rates have already robbed hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of Illinois families of their home equity — probably the lion’s share of whatever wealth they had.

Property taxes in many Illinois communities already exceed 3%, 4% and even 5% of home values. Across Illinois, the average is a sky-high 2.67 percent, the highest in the nation.

The War on Cash: Crucial Step Toward Totalitarianism

We have been witnessing the “marginalization” of cash purchases over the years: the “shrinking” of what is allowed…permissible…to be purchased with cash. This is deliberate on the parts of corporations and their oligarch-directors, banks, and governments. All three of these are in league with one another…with the solemn “blessings” of the religious puppet-masters, regardless of creed or denomination.

The abolition of cash is necessary for several reasons:

1. To eliminate “black market” economies: the black markets, simply put, are free enterprise minus control and monitoring to regulate and tax those enterprises.

2. To tax “normative” businesses with no possibility of even a dime being unaccounted for

3. To steal with impunity [The Golden Rule: He who has the gold makes the rules]

4. To make your money disappear inexplicably: as in the case of an electronics “glitch” or a “computer error.” With nothing but electronic “quatloos” to your credit, you possess nothing tangible…therefore, it’s easier to take away.

5. To monitor your every transaction: every purchase, every expenditure… providing further ammunition to the companies to incessantly bombard you with marketing and sales attacks based on your demographics.

6. To monitor you, as a person: every like and dislike, your social, religious, political, and private proclivities opened before them.

7. To track your movements, as well as purchases: No more cash means POS (Point of Sale) with the computer (once called a “cash register”), camera above your face, bar coded product, inventory and marketing stats all neatly figured in, and biometric data stored up in one package… a record of your travels via your purchases, now done electronically.

8. Shut you down in an instant: Some primate reports “suspicious” activity about you, and an investigation begins?

How exciting! An investigation! Nothing interests them more than what is not immediately discernible from a precursory inspection. An investigation! That is the key concept…with “investigation” being the key word to getting the ball rolling…to being able to deny you of your previous rights enumerated under the Constitution. By the time you prove yourself innocent? You’ll have wasted thousands of dollars…now pumped into their system…and your activities shut down with a black spot on your record…as “justification” for more games to inflict upon you in the future.

Former Student is Shot by Officer During Gunfire Exchange at Graduation Practice in Dixon High School Gym

Officials say a police officer working at Dixon High School shot and wounded a former student who fired a gun at him.

The shooting happened in the school’s gymnasium about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

City Manager Danny Langloss said students were gathered there for graduation practice when the officer exchanged gunfire with the gunman.

Authorities haven’t provided the gunman’s name. Lee County Sheriff John Simonton told Sauk Valley Media he is a 19-year-old former student.

Sauk Valley Media said the sheriff identified the officer as school resource officer Mark Dallas.

Langloss said the gunman is in custody with what he described as non-life-threatening injuries. He said neither the officer nor anyone else was injured.

According to a report on WGN-TV, the gunman opened fire on an officer, firing multiple rounds.

Police believe he acted alone, but provided no possible motive, according to WGN.

Man Injured in Random Knife Attack at Santa Rosa Park, Suspect Arrested

A 51-year-old Santa Rosa man sitting on a city park bench Tuesday evening was stabbed in the chest by a stranger who walked up and attacked him, according to Santa Rosa police.

Detectives later arrested Felipe Peralta, 24, of Santa Rosa, suspecting him of trying to kill the victim during the brief encounter at Martin Luther King Park.

The victim, leaving a substantial blood trail, walked home and got a ride to a hospital, detective Sgt. Josh Ludtke said. Hospital staff called police at 6:47 p.m. when the wounded man arrived.

The victim told police the man walked up to the bench, asked him a question and then stabbed him with what appeared to be a folding knife, Ludtke said.

“Miraculously it missed his lungs and heart,” Ludtke said. The victim, whom police declined to identify the victim citing safety concerns, was expected to survive.

He recognized the man from the neighborhood but didn’t know him and a motive for the stabbing wasn’t clear, Ludtke said.

Tuesday night’s investigation led to Peralta and detectives began to watch his home. They took him into custody after a short while when he tried to leave the house.

A house search turned up a knife and clothing similar to what the victim described his attacker used and wore, Ludtke said. The knife will be tested to determine if it was the weapon.

Muslim Woman Alleges Her Rights Were Violated in Hijab Confrontation at Tulsa County Courthouse; Sheriff Releases Video, Disputes Accusations

A local Muslim woman alleges that the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office violated her religious rights by forcing her to remove her hijab in public before entering the Tulsa County Courthouse, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

Sheriff Vic Regalado countered by releasing video of the encounter. Regalado said the footage shows that his office did nothing wrong, sought the “best” solution under the circumstances and had no male deputies watching her as she took off her hijab. He characterized the situation as miscommunication and a misunderstanding of security protocol that should have been handled with a “simple phone call” to him rather than a lawsuit.

The lawsuit states that Suha Elqutt suffered humiliation, shame, mental anguish and emotional distress on April 10 because deputies made her remove her hijab in a public setting — crouched between two vehicles in a covered parking lot — before entering the courthouse, infringing upon her right to free exercise of her “sincerely-held religious beliefs.”

The Sheriff’s Office is constitutionally required to “make reasonable accommodations for sincerely-held religious beliefs, such as the practice of covering one’s head, hair, and neck in the presence of men,” the lawsuit states. That would entail a privacy room or screen out of sight of men and the general public, Elqutt’s attorneys contend.

“Asking a Muslim woman to publicly remove her hijab is akin to asking her to publicly remove her shirt,” said Megan Lambert, an ACLU Oklahoma attorney. “In fact, it is a greater insult because of the deep religious significance it has to our client and to many Muslim women like her.”

In a news conference Tuesday, which Elqutt did not attend, her attorneys alleged that she or her divorce lawyer saw male deputies watching her from inside the courthouse entrance’s glass walls and doorway after she tried to tuck herself out of sight for the search by two female deputies…

NBC News Swings, Hits Self

What is it with NBC News? If you thought they’d hit rock bottom, you may have to revisit the question with a look at national reporter Heidi Przybyla’s piece on the Gatestone Institute last month: “John Bolton presided over anti-Muslim think tank.”

This is an old-fashioned hit piece. The headline reveals the true object of the hit. John Bolton drives the left absolutely nuts. He has their number and he can call them out with great skill. This they cannot abide. Bolton was the target of Pryzbyla’s piece; Gatestone was just the club that she took to hand. …

Today, to take just one example, Gatestone has posted Richard Kemp’s “Smoke & mirrors: Six weeks of violence on the Gaza border.” It is more informative than the sum total of everything else NBC News has on offer today.

The Gatestone Institute responds to Przybyla’s hit in “NBC News defames Gatestone Institute.” Here are the bullet points of Gatestone’s response to Przybyla:…

Two Huge Vaccine Scandals the Press is Ignoring

Some lies are so big, many people can’t accept the fact that they’re lies. Their minds are boggled. “No,” they say, “that couldn’t be.” But yes, that could be, and is.

Two giant vaccine scandals are in progress at the moment.

The mainstream press is mentioning them, here and there, but without any intent to raise alarms, dig in, investigate, and get down to the core of the problem.

So I’ll get to the core.

The first scandal revolves around the flu vaccine for the current year. The CDC and other “experts” have admitted the vaccine has a very low effectiveness rate.

Why is it a dud?

Because the vaccine is produced using chicken eggs, and in that medium, the flu virus — which is intentionally placed in the eggs — mutates. Therefore, it isn’t the same virus which is causing flu this year. Therefore, no protection against the flu.

Soros’ Open Society Foundation Closes Operations in Hungary Under Pressure — From Orban

After closing its Budapest office last month, Open Society, the purportedly philanthropic organization created to push a liberal, globalist political agenda espoused by billionaire investor George Soros, said Tuesday that it has officially pulled out of Hungary after accusing Prime Minister Viktor Orban of “repressing civil society,” according to the WSJ.

“Faced with an increasingly repressive political and legal environment in Hungary, the Open Society Foundations are moving their Budapest-based international operations and staff to the German capital, Berlin,” the group confirmed on Tuesday.

Patrick Gaspard, the president of the Open Society Foundations, lashed out at Hungary’s government, accusing it of “denigrating and misrepresenting our work,” while repressing civil society “for the sake of political gain.”

Soros attributed his decision to leave Hungary, the country where he was born, to the ruling Fidesz party’s push to pass a bill known as the “Stop Soros” plan. The bill would place new restrictions on non-governmental organizations found to be meddling in the country’s political affairs. The billionaire investor has criticized the law as anti-Semitic.

Open Society previously said it will move its Hungary operations to Berlin.

Should the bill become law, it would require all NGOs which “support illegal immigration” to be register with the government, while any NGO that receives funding from abroad would need to pay a 25% tax. It would also force foreign citizens and Hungarian nationals who support illegal immigration to be subject to a restraining order which would require them to stay away from the country’s border. “If Soros is found to have engaged in such activity, meaning he organizes illegal immigration, then the rules will apply to him,” government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said in February.

When OS first announced their withdrawal from Budapest last month, Prime Minister Orban responded with derision: “You might understand if I don’t cry my eyes out.”

Orban has repeatedly criticized Open Society for pushing a pro-immigrant agenda that he believes is harmful to the country

Sweden in Free Fall

In 2017, a Swedish police report, “Utsatta områden 2017”, (“Vulnerable Areas 2017”, commonly known as “no-go zones” or lawless areas) showed that there are 61 such areas in Sweden. They encompass 200 criminal networks, consisting of an estimated 5,000 criminals. Twenty-three of those areas were especially critical: children as young as 10 had been involved in serious crimes there, including ones involving weapons and drugs. Most of the inhabitants were non-Western, mainly Muslim, immigrants. …

Since 2005, when the last such document was published, BRÅ, which is responsible for crime statistics in Sweden, has refused to release data about the ethnic identity of criminals. Nonetheless, Swedish newspaper Expressen recently published a report that out of 32 gang rape cases adjudicated in 2016 and 2017, 42 of the 43 of the rapists were migrants or descendants of migrants; 32 had been born abroad. 10 were born in Sweden, with one or both parents born abroad. The men were on average 21 years old at the time of the crime, and 13 of them under 18. …

In February, Peter Springare, a Swedish police officer, said that gang rapes were a new cultural phenomenon in Sweden — a consequence of the last 10 to 15 years of immigration policy.

“There are also ethnic Swedes engaged in gang rape , but not in the same numbers as foreign-born offenders,” Springare said. For those comments, Springare was reported to the police, who announced that they would conduct an internal investigation into his remarks. The Secretary General of Sweden’s Law Society, Anne Ramberg, said that Springare’s comments were “almost racist”. If it is considered ‘objectionable’ in the West to talk about about the factual consequences of migration, in Sweden it is now viewed as a crime. …

It increasingly appears, therefore, that it will be Sweden that integrates into Islamic culture. Recently, a Swedish court ruled in accordance with principles aligned with sharia law, when the jury — which had two Muslim members — found that a woman who had been violently abused by her husband could not be trusted because she came from a ‘lesser family’ than her husband and that it was “common” for women to lie about abuse. The jury also berated her for having involved the police, instead of solving the issue by consulting her abusive husband’s family. The case caused a scandal in Sweden and the two jury members were subsequently dismissed.

In another recent case, a 12-year-old Swedish Muslim girl was forcibly taken to Iraq and forced to marry her 22-year-old cousin, who reportedly raped her; after she returned to Sweden, she gave birth to twins. Her family forced her to return to Iraq to live with her ‘husband.’ His family then forcibly took her children away after finally agreeing to let her have a divorce. The children are still in Iraq. The Swedish court gave this man, an Iraqi citizen, custody of their now 10-year old twins.

Swiss Islamic Council Members in Court Over Alleged Terrorist Propaganda Video

Three members of the Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ISSC) who are facing trial on charges of having produced illegal propaganda for the terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda refused to answer questions in the Federal Criminal Court on Wednesday.

In a case that has raised concerns about possible infringements on journalistic practice, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) says the trio broke Swiss laws that forbid support for groups such as Al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) by interviewing and publishing online an interview with Saudi cleric Abdullah al-Muhaysini carried out in Syria in 2015.

While interviewing radical Islamicists is not illegal, prosecutors say Naim Cherni, a young filmmaker from Bern and head of the ISSC’s cultural production unit, together with the organisation’s media spokesperson Abdel Azziz Qaasim Illi and ISSC president Nicolas Blancho contravened journalistic principles in the publication of Cherni’s interview with al-Muhaysini.

Prosecutors say that by giving the Saudi cleric 35 minutes of air time and only giving two minutes to the interviewer, the makers of the video had produced propaganda for Al-Qaeda.

Al-Mezan, in 2014, listed “Core Programme Donors” from the same countries, as well as Germany, the UK, the EU, Oxfam GB, Save the Children, and several other humanitarian institutions.

Human Rights: Other Views — Part I

by Denis MacEoin

Professor Ann Elizabeth Mayer’s classic study, Islam and Human Rights: Tradition and Politics, is a painstaking study of the many Islamic Human Rights charters, in both English translations and Arabic or Persian originals. They expose serious concerns about the impact of Islam and Islamic law in both the Muslim world and increasingly in the West. The contradictions she has found between original texts on the other, is invaluable.

Mayer examines seven major Islamic declarations, including:

The Universal Islamic Declaration of Human Rights (UIDHR, 1981)

The Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam (1993)

Again and again, claims that Islamic values support Western human rights standards are contradicted by the texts and statements of Muslim jurists and diplomats. Here, for example, is a statement by the former Iranian representative to the United Nations, Sa’id Raja’i-Khorasani, presented before the UN General Assembly on December 7, 1984:

The new political order [in Iran] was… in full accordance and harmony with the deepest moral and religious convictions of the people and therefore most representative of the traditional, cultural, moral and religious beliefs of Iranian society. It recognized no authority… apart from Islamic law… conventions, declarations or decisions of international organizations, which were contrary to Islam, had no validity in the Islamic Republic of Iran… The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which represented secular understanding of the Judaeo-Christian tradition, could not be implemented by Muslims and did not accord with the system of values recognized by the Islamic Republic of Iran; his country would therefore not hesitate to violate its provisions. MH370 Solved? Experts Call it Suicide and “Premeditated Mass Murder” by Pilot

While there has been no official government explanation to the MH370 flight mystery that dominated the news for months after it occurred, experts on Australia’s 60 Minutes have put together what seems to be the most sensible re-creation of events that could explain the mystery of the missing plane.

Stunningly, experts agree that flight MH370 may have come down as an intentional act of mass suicide. The report was picked up by the Washington Post on Monday, who explained that “the plane’s 2014 disappearance and apparent crash were a suicide by the 53-year-old [pilot] Zaharie — and a premeditated act of mass murder.”

Mother, Father and Four Children Bomb Three Churches in Indonesia

“Violence and terrorism should not be associated with any religion,” the bloc of Islamic nations declared on Sunday, condemning a series of suicide bombings on Christian churches in Indonesia reportedly carried out by six members of the same family — mother, father, two teenage sons, and daughters aged nine and 12.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 40 wounded in the blasts that targeted three churches in Indonesia’s second-largest city, Surabaya, minutes apart on Sunday morning.

Indonesian police said the father of the family detonated a car bomb in the grounds of a Pentecostal church, while his two sons, ages 16 and 18, carried out a bombing on two motorcycles near the entrance of a Catholic church. His wife and two daughters, whom he had dropped off before heading for his target, bombed a Presbyterian church.

In addition to the 11 victims, all six members of the family were killed in the blasts. Police said the family had recently returned from Syria, via Turkey which had deported them.

China: Airbus Windscreen Fell Out at 32,000 Feet

Bits of flight deck sucked out of Sichuan Airlines A319, which landed safely with two injuries

An Airbus A319 operated by China’s Sichuan Airlines lost one of its cockpit windshields at 32,000 feet on Monday, but was able to land safely.

As reported by the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s south-west region, flight 3U 8633 from Chongqing to Lhasa took off as expected, reached its cruising altitude of 32,000 feet whereupon flight crew noticed cracks in the right windscreen. Not long afterwards, the windscreen broke, left the cockpit exposed and even sucked out some parts of the flight control unit.

Reports from the Chengdu Daily and elsewhere tell us that the disintegrating window injured the co-pilot and a member of cabin crew, de-pressurised the plane and led to the captain quickly descending.

China Aviation Review Tweeted that the pilot diverted to the Chinese city of Chengdu and made an emergency landing, after battling extreme cold, wind, and the absence of some instruments!

As Swedes Drawn to Honest Foreign Coverage of Their Own Country, MSM Slams ‘Nasty’ Immigration Stories

The deputy editor of Sweden’s Expressen slammed Danish media as “nasty” for being more open about mass migration, complaining that many voters, especially populist supporters, were losing faith in the mainstream media.

In an editorial for Expressen, Karin Olsson complained that voters for the populist anti-mass migration Sweden Democrats were distrustful of Swedish media and that they would likely support the “nasty” Danish media who she explains have fewer “limits” when talking about mass migration and Islam.

UN Quietly Pushes International Gun Control

The United Nations’ International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) is finishing up their Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence. According to IANSA, the goal of the week-long meeting is “for us to advocate collectively for an end to illicit trade and misuse of small arms and light weapons.”

We all know what that really means: the United Nations presumes they have authority over every human being on earth, and as such, seeks to ban guns from the slaves they want to control. Of course, they aren’t going to come right out and say it just it. It took liberals decades before they simply admitted what we already knew: they are coming for our guns.

According to Townhall, the week-long initiative took place one month before the Third Review Conference (RevCon3) on the UN Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons.

In 2005 the UN also adopted the International Tracing Instrument (ITI), which is a “politically binding instrument” requiring States to ensure that weapons are properly marked and that records are kept. Moreover, it provides a framework for cooperation in weapons tracing — fulfilling one of the commitments governments made in the Programme of Action. Improving weapons tracing is now part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Of course, anyone who has read into the 2030 Agenda understands it’s nothing more than a blueprint for the global enslavement of humanity under the boot of elitist corporate masters. Mike Adams with Natural News perfectly translates the 2030 Agenda. Goal 11 perfectly outlines the UN’s need to eliminate guns from the public and put them in the hands of those who will be ruling the masses.

*For those who aren’t entirely sure what’s in the UN’s 2030 agenda, please click here for Adams’ simple and complete break down of the goals.

[Comment: Recommended reading. America, elimination of guns and the 2nd amendment is a necessary step for globalists who wish to tear down the USA and implement tyranny. Americans, never give up your 2nd amendment. Beware of useful idiots claiming its better for America to eliminate the 2nd Amendment.]

  1. “Homeowners in Ireland are being urged to help ease the migration crisis by taking in refugees.”

I’m fairly sure Sir Bob Geldof owns properties in Ireland. After all his humanitarian work I’m certain he’ll be first in the queue to offer alms to the poor.

      • None whatsoever.

Assuming his moralising isn’t just public preening that is.

    • Yes, that’s the acid test for the virtue signallers–

“How many ‘refugees’ would you invite to stay at your house in the outer leafy suburbs?”

  2. “…Delingpole: Enough Hamas Dead Baby Propaganda in the Western Media, Already!..” – OK. And what about the “Syrian Observatory” and the staged performances of the “White Helmets”, Teddy?

  3. Dublin and Waterford landlords are selling their rental properties to the local councils. These supposedly elected by the people councils are then putting the Irish tenants on the the streets to make room for “Syrian Muslims”. What will it take to break.

  4. The big strong patriotic agricultural types of the pre Islamic era now seem blind deaf and dumb to the resettlement of their ancestral homelands.

  5. “Homeowners in Ireland are being urged to help ease the migration crisis by taking in refugees.”
    What could go wrong?

How long before urging becomes requiring? Or the government decides a tax levied on such a ‘vacant room or spare bed’ will enhance urging?
