Dem Muslim Candidate for Michigan Governor Tells GOP Opponent: “Muslims Hate You”

Michigan’s first ever Muslim candidate for governor caused controversy when he told his Republican opponent during a debate, “Muslims hate you.”

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed is running as a Democrat in the August 7 primary. Michigan has the United States’ highest concentration of Muslims and recently had a case involving a potential honor killing. Two metro Detroit doctors were also recently accused of carrying out female genital mutilation on four children.

Open Physics vs. Secret Climate Science

Back in 2016, a team in Hungary thought they might have detected a new force of nature. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence — so the Hungarian team published all their data and method, to assist other teams to review and try to reproduce their work.

Physics can be pretty intense at times, but one of the most straightforward aspects is that everything in the Universe is controlled by just four fundamental forces: gravity, electromagnetic, and strong and weak nuclear forces.

But now physicists in Hungary think they might have found evidence of a mysterious fifth force of nature. And, if verified, it would mean we’d need to rethink our understanding of how the Universe actually works.

Evidence of this fifth force was spotted last year, when a team from the Hungarian Academy of Science reported that they’d fired protons at lithium-7, and in the fall out, had detected a brand new super-light boson that was only 34 times heavier than an electron.

As exciting as that sounds, the paper was mostly overlooked, until a team in the US published their own analysis of the data at the end of last month, on pre-print site arXiv.

The US team, led by Jonathan Feng from the University of California, Irvine, showed that the data didn’t conflict with previous experiments, and calculated that the new boson could indeed be carrying a fifth fundamental force — which is when the science world started to get interested.

Contrast the excitement and openness displayed by the Hungarian physics team, to the culture of secrecy which seems to prevail in the climate and environmental science communities.

“… Scientists’ concerns stem from past calls for transparency that were then used against them. Epidemiologist Colin Soskolne, emeritus professor at the University of Alberta, has been on the receiving end of industry efforts to, in his words, “cast doubt and foment uncertainty.” He said scientists have good reason to be concerned about industry efforts to force publication of their raw data sets.

In the late 1970s, Soskolne found strong associations between oil refinery workers at an Exxon plant in Louisiana and incidence of throat cancer. The key connection: exposure to sulfuric acid. Exxon, which initially underwrote his work, hired a consultant to challenge his data (the consultant’s finding confirmed the cancer link, though with a lower correlation) and sent an executive to critique his work as sloppy before Soskolne’s academic advisers.

“They accused me of not being careful in doing the research,” Soskolne said. In the end, Soskolne received his doctorate, published his work and had his findings independently corroborated. But he offers this lesson to epidemiologists harassed by opponents to release their data: their findings will be twisted by corporate or ideological interests. This is the fear of science groups opposing the HONEST Act.

“The issue of sharing data has enormous implications for the researcher,” Soskolne said, “because anyone with malevolent intent can take your data, without you being party to it, and do with it what it wants.” […]

Outrage at demands data be provided to “scientific competitors” is a regular theme in the climategate emails. For example, from Climategate email 1231257056.txt (Ben Santer speaking):…

1. In my considered opinion, a very dangerous precedent is set if any derived quantity that we have calculated from primary data is subject to FOIA requests. At LLNL’s Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI), we have devoted years of effort to the calculation of derived quantities from climate model output. These derived quantities include synthetic MSU temperatures, ocean heat content changes, and so-called “cloud simulator” products suitable for comparison with actual satellite-based estimates of cloud type, altitude, and frequency. The intellectual investment in such calculations is substantial.

2. Mr. Smith asserts that “there is no valid intellectual property justification for withholding this data”. I believe this argument is incorrect. The synthetic MSU temperatures used in our IJoC paper — and the other examples of derived datasets mentioned above — are integral components of both PCMDI’s ongoing research, and of proposals we have submitted to funding agencies (DOE, NOAA, and NASA). Can any competitor simply request such datasets via the U.S. FOIA, before we have completed full scientific analysis of these datasets?

[A self-promoting argument on behalf of bad “science”. Send in the Hungarians…]

Man Accused in Military Centre Stabbing Acquitted of Terror Charges, Not Criminally Responsible

Ayanle Hassan Ali had attacked soldiers at a military recruitment centre in March 2016

A man with schizophrenia who attacked soldiers at a military recruitment centre in Toronto has been acquitted of terror-related charges and found not criminally responsible for lesser offences due to mental illness.

Judge Ian MacDonnell says Ayanle Hassan Ali’s actions in May 2016 do not fit the intended scope of Canadian terrorism laws.

Ali had pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder, three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault causing bodily harm and one count of carrying a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, all for the benefit or at the direction of a terror organization…

‘Years of Not Wanting to Offend Anyone Nurtured Islamic Extremism in the West’

Constantly prioritizing liberal values over national security in Europe has ultimately given a free hand to Islamic radicals, who sneak into the continent unhindered with little scrutiny, extremism expert Jennifer Breedon told RT.

Breedon, an international criminal law attorney and expert in extremism studies, spoke to RT in the wake of the attack in Paris on Saturday night, when a knife-wielding man randomly stabbed people near the Opera House, killing one of them. The assailant reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he charged at passersby. The Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the carnage, calling it retribution for France’s role in the anti-terrorist campaign in the Middle East.

Jerusalem Stands on Waqf Land, Belongs to Arabs

In response to the US government’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the following points are to be noted:

First: The city of Jerusalem and its environs, including adjacent and neighboring villages, are Islamic waqf areas under official waqfs recorded in the records of the Islamic courts in Jerusalem, and in no case shall such waqfs be revoked, amended or confiscated. These lands were leased to their inhabitants or to those who live on them, while they remained the property of the Islamic waqf which collected lease from them. These conditions remained until the end of the British Mandate in 1948, after which part of Jerusalem’s lands followed the Arab Orthodox Church.

Second: Aside from historical claims, Zionism tried to lay its hands on parts of the city of Jerusalem for more than 100 years; as a result, at the end of the British Mandate in 1948, Zionism could not own more than five percent of the Jerusalem Municipality’s lands, inside or outside the fence, according to the Palestinian Land Department, the British archives of the Land of Jerusalem, as well as the estimates of the International Conciliation Commission and Sami Hadawi, who was the head of the Department of Survey of Jerusalem Lands until the end of the British Mandate, in addition to the “Jerusalem Lands” book and “Jerusalem 1948” book by author Salim Tamari. All of these references agreed that the Jews did not own more than five percent of the land of Jerusalem when it was occupied by Israeli forces in 1948.

Third: The so-called Jewish alleyways in ancient Jerusalem were properties belonging to Arab Jerusalemite families such as Al-Khalidi, Abu Saud, Fatyani, Dajani and Qutina, and these lands were leased to religious Jews for their proximity to the Western Wall (Al-Buraq), and their population in 1948 did not exceed 2,000 including seniors, children and women (see the memoirs of Abdullah Al-Tal and the diaries of Aref Al-Aref).

Fourth: What confirms the above is that the Jews submitted a petition to the Islamic Waqf Department (registered in the register of waqfs) demanding to rent a plot of land to bury their dead, which was approved by the Department of Awqaf, and based on that, the cemetery, also an Islamic waqf land, which is now located between the suburb of Silwan and the suburbs of Jerusalem, was leased to them.

Fifth: The laws issued by Israel to confiscate land and property of Arab Jerusalemites are invalid for several reasons, most importantly:…

Orban’s Hungary Blocks Macron-Led EU Motion Condemning Trump’s Jerusalem Decision

Viktor Orban’s Hungary, supported by the Czech Republic and Romania, blocked an EU motion condemning President Donald Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, according to Israeli news anchor Barak Ravid. Israeli officials and European diplomats told the Channel 10 News journalist that the three countries — part of the Visegrad group of conservative, pro-sovereignty countries within the European Union — blocked the joint statement led by Emmanuel Macron’s France, which was supposed to “embarrass and isolate” the Trump administration internationally.

Rashid said the defeated statement outlined a common European Union position on Israel and Palestine containing the following three points, according to Axios:

Jerusalem should be the capital of both states — Israel and the future state of Palestine.

The final status of Jerusalem should be negotiated and only determined through negotiations between the parties.

The member states of the EU will not follow the U.S. and will not move their embassies to Jerusalem.

Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, was said to have been embarrassed by the failure, with diplomats complaining to Rashid that the bloc’s leadership was finding it harder to direct member-states…

Family With Kids Bombs Indonesia Churches; 13 Dead

SURABAYA, Indonesia: A family of six including two young daughters staged suicide bombings at three Indonesian churches during Sunday services, killing at least 13 people and wounding dozens in attacks claimed by the Islamic State group. The bombings at three churches in Surabaya were Indonesia’s deadliest for years, as the world’s biggest Muslim-majority country grapples with homegrown militancy and rising intolerance towards religious minorities.

The bombers — a mother and father, two daughters aged nine and 12, and two sons aged 16 and 18 — were linked to local extremist network Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) which supports IS, said national police chief Tito Karnavian. Local media reports say they may have returned from Syria, where hundreds of Indonesians have flocked in recent years to fight alongside IS in its bid to carve out a caliphate ruled by strict Islamic law.

The mother, identified as Puji Kuswati, and her two daughters were wearing niqab face veils and had bombs strapped to their waists as they entered the grounds of the Kristen Indonesia Diponegoro Church and blew themselves up, Karnavian said. The father, JAD cell leader Dita Priyanto, drove a bomb-laden car into the Surabaya Centre Pentecostal Church while his sons rode motorcycles into Santa Maria church, where they detonated explosives they were carrying, Karnavian said. “All were suicide attacks but the types of bombs are different,” he said.

The group, led by jailed radical Aman Abdurrahman, has been linked to several deadly incidents, including a 2016 gun and suicide attack in the capital Jakarta that left four attackers and four civilians dead. That was the first assault claimed by IS in Southeast Asia. Police yesterday said four suspected JAD members were killed in a shootout during raids linked to a deadly prison riot this week. Five members of Indonesia’s elite anti-terrorism squad and a prisoner were killed in clashes that saw Islamist inmates take a guard hostage at a high-security jail on the outskirts of Jakarta. IS claimed responsibility…

5 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/14/2018

  1. “…European Union (EU) migrants who were “illegally” detained and deported after sleeping rough on British streets are set to be paid hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation…” – and this is a fair decision! The “East Europeans” mentioned are in their great majority Gypsies (or Roma people, if you prefer). For decades Rumania, Slovakia, Bulgaria were subject to rather humiliating reproaches from the liberal elites for “failing to integrate Roma people” (who are failing to integrate for over 7-8 centuries already). Gypsies were presented by the media and NGOs as noble savages, cheerful children of nature, victimized by the sullen Eastern barbarians. When a Czech municipality decided to build some sort of a wall demarkating a Gypsy ghetto, the outcry in Western press reached high heavens, comparing this act to genocide, Holocaust and the like.
But now, when the British, French, German, Italian started to meet in real life the vagrant “Romani”, coming over in extended families to beg on the street, to steal, to cheat, to pickpocket, they don’t seem enthusiastic to “integrate” them and even demolish their makeshift ghettoes (Italy, France) and expel them back to the East?!

    • If we put the press and political grandstanding aside as (probably leftwing) unwelcome overly high opinion making ( which might not occur if it were not for the EU umbrella of responsibility ) , and without saying mistreatment of Roma should be ignored either , the UK acted wrongly because it is treaty to EU law that guarantees right of abode to EU citizens, that simple.

Now, is it wrong to be party to that EU treaty, or is it wrong to expel non-nationals if not part of that treaty?

BTW that Breitbart link redirects to a different article.

  2. Pray for the Christians of Eastern Europe, who survived the Soviet, as Muslims press them on one side and Marxists in Brussels seek to cut their financial arteries until they obey the EU’s insane dictates.

  3. “…diplomats complaining to Rashid that the bloc’s leadership was finding it harder to direct member-states.” Enlightening comment. Seems as if member-states truly are perceived as mindless vassal states who exist only to rubberstamp the leaders decisions. Woe unto that country which practices independent thought as it will surely be accused of not supporting one of the ‘core EU values’ of democracy or freedom. No doubt hot coals of retribution will rain down upon its head from that bastion of EU values, Brussels.

For what it’s worth, Breitbart erred, Romania is not one of the Visegrad group.

    • Lol – I read it firstly as

“No doubt hot coals of reDIStribution will rain down upon its head from that bastion of EU values, Brussels.”
