A Short, Communist History of “McCarthyism”

by Diana West

It was one thing for the Communist Party organ, the Daily Worker, that pre-Twitter roadmap of every zig and zag of Kremlin directives, to have ramped up the information-war against Senator Joseph McCarthy in the early 1950s by turning the name of our greatest anti-communist hero into an epithet mouthed by the Left.

It is quite another for conservatives nearly 70 years later to keep pounding what was, after all, Stalin’s line. It was Stalin’s line not for his health, of course, but for his long war to destroy the USA at home: specifically, to destroy the anti-communist resistance, personified, circa 1950, by the fearless junior senator from Wisconsin. There are many markers attesting to the Kremlin’s mainly unacknowleged ideological victory in this same war, from our own Marxist college campuses, to a numbing list of cultural debasements, to Russian hypersonic missiles, courtesy the seemingly invisible “reset” tech transfer scheme called Skolkovo. To this list of markers I would add the quick-trigger, full-throated conservative chorus against “McCarthyism.”

It seems hard to imagine, but at some point long ago most Americans rejected the Daily Worker and everything it stood for outright — communism, Stalin, subversion, the works. Now, we don’t really know what any of it means (see capture of the US education system, already under communist siege by 1920). Even astute conservative commentators draw a blank on the entire battle that the Daily Worker & ilk very successfully prosecuted against us on our own home front. Manchurian-candidate-style, they go to veritable Marxist slogans for intellectual ammunition, as we see in the selection of best-brightest comments above…

France: Soon With No Jews?

Today, France is the only country in the Western world where Jews are murdered simply for being Jews.

Jews may be the main victims, but they are not the only ones. In just five years, 250 people in France have been murdered by Islamic terrorists.

The main problem is the spread of hatred against Jews, France and the Western world. Many Muslim extremists incite murder; and more and more often, murders occur.

Hungary: Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s Thoughts on the Election Campaign

I feel as if this election campaign would be a celebration when one meets old friends and acquaintances…

I do not know how the other prime ministerial candidates feel about it, but for me the election campaign is one of the most beautiful parts of politics. One receives so much love and encouragement… Those who attend the campaign events love to meet each other, even if they have never met before. They speak the same language, and chat about the same topics — what is important to them in life said Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Liberman: A Celebration of Hypocrisy

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman addressed yesterday’s violent riots at the Gaza border fence Saturday night.

“The Passover holiday, which ends at this hour, was one of the quietest and safest we have known in recent years, and our preparations at the Gaza border has proven itself, and the Israeli people owe great thanks to thousands of IDF, Shin Bet and police who worked very hard and thwarted any attempt to challenge us,” Liberman said.

“Hamas sends terrorists under the guise of civilians to harm our sovereignty, and the world presents this parade of terror as a civil protest. This is a celebration of hypocrisy. During the weekend, Assad massacred 48 civilians, including 8 children and 6 women. The UN secretary-general did not call for a commission of inquiry, the Security Council did not convene, the Arab League ignored it, and the BBC, of ??course, did not see or hear anything,” he added

The death toll in the demonstrations in the Gaza Strip against the security fence rose to nine Saturday, with the death of two of the injured, including Yasser Murtha, who Arab sources claim was a journalist who was shot in the stomach near Khan Yunis.[…]

  1. “Current Prime Minister Viktor Orban looks confident to win a fourth term in office after polling experts agreed he will secure an “absolute majority”.

Let’s hope the Hungarians make the sane choice and re-elect the one man who seems to be prepared to stand up to the EU mandarins, the global left, Islamists and old Toady; George Soros.

    • Orban represents his nation, not some humbug idea of a Marxist world tyranny. Frau Merkel, just the opposite.

    • »holding his children hostage«

AFAIK he has none. Improving quality of life in the “banlieus”
is a common suggestion to tackle parallel societies and crime. The Scandinavian countries, also Germany, have been quite successful with this method in the past; just look at international crime comparisons.
