Adnan Oktar and the Islamization of Romania

A Turkish Islamic zealot and cult leader named Adnan Oktar has been shipping propaganda materials to be distributed in Bucharest. Romania has a relatively small Muslim population — less than half a percent — compared with its southern neighbor, Bulgaria, which is more than 12% Muslim. So why this sudden push to do da’wa in Romania? And why is a mega-mosque being planned for Bucharest?

Our Romanian correspondent cxt sends the following report on the puzzling affair of Turkish propaganda in Bucharest.

This website shows pictures of books and fliers that were left in malls and post boxes in Bucharest on August 13th, 2017.

A translation of the text:

Pro-Islam Propaganda has Appeared in Romania. In the Capital’s Malls and Apartment Buildings, Materials for Brainwashing Romanians have Appeared

Such pro-Islam materials were distributed in the capital’s malls on August 13th. The photos you see here are from Vitan Mall.

Judging by the superior quality of the printed paper, it is obvious that the distributors were not concerned with costs. By following the contact link in the leaflets, we find that Turkey is the host of this website. Interesting, right? And we are building them a mega-mosque, because there are going to be a lot of them, aren’t there? Let us wake up, for the purpose of this propaganda is nothing other than to prepare Romania for the wave of false refugees.

I include the translation not because it is particularly interesting, but to provide some context for the photographs at the link above.

I did a little bit of research and I managed to find the books and fliers distributed in Bucharest here. The so-called book “Islam denounces terrorism”, available to download at the previous link, is pure Islamic propaganda along the lines of “Islam is the religion of peace”. The so-called book is full of images of white people, especially white blonde children, with a giant mosque in the background. This can be noticed straightaway from the cover. The author of this so-called book is Adnan Oktar (other names used: Harun Yahya, Adnan Hoca).

From his Wikipedia entry:

Adnan Oktar (born 2 February 1956), also known as Harun Yahya, is a Turkish author as well as an Islamic creationist. In 2007, he sent thousands of unsolicited copies of his book, The Atlas of Creation, which advocates Islamic creationism, to American scientists, members of Congress, and science museums. Oktar runs two organizations of which he is also the Honorary President: Bilim Araştırma Vakfı (BAV, literally, “Science Research Foundation”, established 1990), which promotes creationism and Milli Değerleri Koruma Vakfı (literally, “National Values Preservation Foundation”, established 1995) which works domestically on a variety of moral issues.

In more recent years, Adnan Oktar has been known for his televangelism on his TV channel, A9 TV, noted especially for featuring ‘kittens’, his female devotees. His organization is commonly referred to as a cult, and he has been described as the “most notorious cult leader in Turkey.” Oktar filed more than 5000 lawsuits against individuals for defamation in the last decade, which led to the blocking of a number of prominent websites in Turkey.

[…]

In the early 1980s, Oktar gathered young students around him to share his views of Islam. These students belonged to socially-active and prosperous families of Istanbul. From 1982 to 1984, a group of 20 to 30 was formed. They were joined by private high school students who were from socially active and well-known families with a high economic status who had become newly religious. Yüksel said Oktar presented his teachings “gently and in a modern fashion to the children of the privileged class, without intimidating them … a refined and urbanized version of Said Nursi.” In his religious teachings, Oktar argued against Marxism, communism and materialistic philosophy. He attached special importance to refuting the Theory of Evolution and Darwinism because he felt that it had been turned into an ideology used to promote materialism and atheism, and numerous derivative ideologies. He personally funded a pamphlet entitled the Theory of Evolution which combined “mysticism with scientific rhetoric.”

Go With the Flow

Our German translator JLH takes the (somewhat faint) pulse of American cultural life, and sends this comprehensive report on the latest gender-related trends and other post-modern phenomena.

Go With the Flow

By JLH

Okay, I see how things are going, and I am ready to sign on. Who said: “If society changes and you don’t change with it, prepare to be squashed”? Probably nobody, but it’s true anyway. The signs are increasingly clear. The progress is unabated and unmistakable, notwithstanding such glitches as the 12-year-old boy who recently decided — two years into preparation for transposition of his gender — that maybe he was, after all, comfortable enough in his own skin so that his teachers could go back to referring to him as a boy. We must be patient. As a famous person once said: “It takes a village to transpose a gender.”

The transition from a tyrannical, toxic masculinity represented by Thor, Zeus, the Dagda, a white, bearded Christian God and countless other hyper-masculine divine and semi-divine figures (remember Hulk Hogan?) was presaged some time ago by the quiet displacement of such testosteronal icons through the return to a mythic matriarchal past. Ceres, Gaia and other “mother earth” goddess figures and the scholarship surrounding them have been more noticeable in recent decades.

Thus, for instance, an enterprising professor of art at the University of California at Santa Cruz and her partner — a performance artist and sexologist — are advocating “ecosex.” That is, having sex with Mother Earth. Recently, they led an ecosex tour to Germany, where they believe the earth’s clitoris is located, and where they no doubt practiced that seductive technique they call “grassilingus.”

The ecosexologists did not mention any side effects — just the positive vibrations of person-earth intercourse, but one concerned caller to a popular radio show raised the possibility that “carbon has been getting a bad rap all these years” and perhaps the real cause of recent upsetting geological and climatological activity has been the fateful discovery and excitation of the earth’s clitoris. After all, Islam is so in dread of the power of that feminine appurtenance that it demands its removal at an early age. Of course, the earth has no doubt long since passed the age of consent. I have forgotten which one of the forty amendments gives us Freedom of Sex, but it is worth protecting. As Teen Vogue said:

“The ecosex sphere may still be evolving, but one thing is clear, with the Trump administration’s threat on environmental protections, women’s bodily autonomy, and queer and trans rights, it’s necessary to find new ways to come together to protect the planet and sexual freedom.”

(One of these ways is explored in the Cannes Film Festival entry, “Call Me By Your Name,” which includes sex with a peach. No, not a metaphor… a real peach.)

It is an editor of the very same Teen Vogue who recently wrote a mentoring article for her young readers on the practice and satisfaction of anal sex. Assuming that these young readers are all or overwhelmingly teenage girls, I am not sure what attraction this activity may hold for them. Still, there is obviously a value here, possibly akin to the teaching moment offered by former President Clinton who demonstrated to young people everywhere — with the support of teachers and other authority figures — that “oral sex is not really sex.” Just as the unnecessary derogation of this perfectly natural act had until then discouraged children from practicing it, and they were thus liberated to try it out during recess, so, too, it seems, they must be gently led into this other, now acceptable, sexual practice. Young readers of Teen Vogue are encouraged not to be put off by lingering evidence of this aperture’s primary use. After all, the writer says, “Everybody poops.” Words for the ages.

Down and Out in Eisenstadt

The video below is from Eisenstadt, the capital of Burgenland in Austria. According to Egri Nök, who translated the accompanying article: “The video does not need translation; the man who records it is just stating the obvious.”

The translated article from Politically Incorrect:

Eisenstadt: Specialist* lies down on busy street

In the small Austrian state of Burgenland, Caritas (European “charity”) alone runs 22 accommodations for benefit-seekers who have illegally pushed into the country. Accordingly, the state capital Eisenstadt is enriched with mostly young, male misery.

One of the precious raw black diamonds, for reasons unknown at this point, lay down last week on one of the much-frequented roads of the city, armed with a piece of wood, and blocked traffic.

A passer-by, who seemingly had tried to help, without success, filmed the scene. The police then stopped the dangerous madness and carried the resisting man off the street.

The well-fed fully-supplied (with benefits) fellow was probably under the influence. We should understand that, put up with it, and if possible, not mention it. Probably it was just an isolated case™ anyway.

*   Fachkraft: A specialist, expert, or skilled laborer. The government announced the Syrians as foreign experts in 2015, saying they were on average more skilled, more educated, than Europeans. So when one refers to “refugees” as “experts”, it’s a cynical joke that will make Anetta Kahane and Heiko Maas angry.

Courtesans on the Casting Couch

I don’t normally wade into the Culture Wars, and especially not the sort of rank sewage that currently overflows from every media outlet about the scandals surrounding Harvey Weinstein. However, there is an aspect to the whole putrid business that has been neglected by most media writers, and I mean to rectify that.

For readers who have been isolated at a remote Antarctic base for the past few months and may have missed the story, this New York Times article provides a representative sample of the type and tone of “journalism” surrounding the sordid actions of Mr. Weinstein and his courtesans.

And I use the word “courtesans” advisedly. The numerous young women whom Harvey Weinstein allegedly bedded are generally painted as unfortunate and unwilling victims of a sexual predator, but this is hardly the case. These women were over the age of consent. They were not mentally incapacitated. The man they decided to sleep with was not their a professor in their college course, nor a priest in their parish church, nor a judge before whom they appeared in court. They were free agents, and he was a man who was in a position to provide something that they earnestly desired.

Mr. Weinstein was a powerful gatekeeper, and was willing to open that gate to certain comely young women who wanted in. But there was an entrance fee. He made it clear to them what the price was, and they decided they were willing to pay it. No rape or coercion was involved; it was a commercial transaction.

A woman who provides sexual services for a fee is known as a prostitute. Or a harlot. The most polite word is courtesan, which is what such women used to be called when they gratified the urges of dukes, princes, kings, and emperors. Harvey Weinstein wielded as much financial clout as a minor Eastern satrap, so we may as well assign his ladies the fancy role of “courtesan” instead of calling them whores.

But whores they were. They weren’t forced into the loathsome creature’s bed. They climbed in of their own free will. They could have said, “No, thanks. I don’t want it that much,” and gone back to bussing tables, or doing data entry, or whatever it was they were doing before they made the pilgrimage to Hollywood.

But they didn’t. They wanted to be movie stars really, really badly. And this disgusting old man was capable of granting their wishes, at a price. They paid that price. He got what he wanted, and they got what they wanted.

It was a business transaction.

As far as moral character is concerned — and this is the hard part — Harvey Weinstein and his “victims” were roughly at parity with one another. He had immense power, and his courtesans had very little, which is why he seems so much more vile. But, really, they were approximately equal in moral standing. He could have refrained from demanding access to their intimate charms. And they could have turned him down, and gone back home.

But neither of them took the moral high road. So one of them was a john, and the other was a whore.

*   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Heterosexual men who lack moral and ethical fiber and wield enormous power tend to do exactly what Harvey Weinstein did. They take advantage of women who are in powerless, subordinate positions, and have their way with them. And, since men who lack moral and ethical fiber also tend to gravitate towards nodes of power and then fight their way to the center of them, ruthless sexual predators may well be the norm among powerful men.

Women are neither more nor less moral, on average, than men, so we may assume that they also abuse their positions of power in equal proportions when they achieve them. However, a woman’s proclivities are different from a man’s, so sexual predation is unlikely to be the major expression of corrupt female power. Since I’m not a woman, I don’t understand the most basic female urges very well; perhaps some of our female readers can weigh in on the means by which corrupt women tend to abuse their positions of power.

One final note: The abuse of minors by Hollywood power brokers is a completely different matter. A 13-year-old girl or boy cannot legally consent to sex with an adult. Roman Polanski’s crime was categorically different from the antics of Harvey Weinstein.

Concerning a man who rapes children: it would better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“Because We Know Slavery, Freedom is Sacred to Us!”

Below is an open letter recently published by the political news portal Cicero Online. JLH, who translated the piece, has this to say about it:

A very revealing letter from one former East German to another, and in a sense, one icon to another. Very revealing of the psychology and feeling behind PEGIDA, and why the revolt against Merkel took shape in the East.

The translated letter:

An open letter to Wolf Biermann[1]: “Anyone who has learned to value constitutional democracy will not willingly give it up.”

By Angelika Barbe[2]
October 6, 2017

(The singer-songwriter Wolf Biermann recently accused East German AfD voters of not valuing democracy and freedom. This is Angelika Barbe’s reply.)

Dear Wolf,

We have known each other since 1990, in the common hunger strike with Bärbel Bohley and other civil rights activists in the East Berlin Stasi Central. I had already admired you before that, because of your songs, which I typed out and distributed. At the time, I was the only member of the SPD who joined the strike for the opening of the Stasi files, and for that, I was defamed by Wolfgang Thierse. You know that I am no coward. And the majority of East Germans know it too.

It is too bad that you had no opportunity to speak with the many citizens I have come to know in Dresden in the past years. Of over 500 letters we received from citizens in the Saxony state headquarters, more than 90% complain that they never received an answer from mayors, representatives, district commissioners or other agents of the establishment to their petitions, letters and inquiries. They felt they were unwelcome, mocked and on top of that, decried as racists.

Merkel has lost contact with the citizens

Chancellor Angela Merkel lands in Heidenau (see n. 7) in a helicopter, wafts away an hour later and has solved not one problem. She advises a cleaning lady to invest her pittance in a Riester pension fund, thus demonstrating that she knows nothing about the living conditions of citizens. She says not one word about the systematic exploitation of families by the pension/social security system deplored by social judge Jürgen Borchert. And she has the chutzpah to promise a rise in child allowances, which are merely the “return of stolen goods” i.e., nothing other than the unconstitutional taxation of the bare minimum for children.

Merkel disappears and leaves us citizens alone with the ever-present danger of terrorism. Worse yet, the “lacuna media” whispers soothingly to us that hundreds of thousands of unregistered, illegal immigrants are really not dangerous — numerous Islamic terrorist, knife and truck attacks notwithstanding. The government is silent about the loss of control. They, after all, are not affected. But when the politicians see themselves in danger, “Merkel barricades” are set up — as on October 3, 2016 in Dresden. Heavily armed snipers lurked on the roofs. True to the motto of the SED,[3] — “Where there is no victim, there is no perpetrator” — the victims of Islamist terrorist attacks were swept under the rug. The woman representing the Breitscheidplatz[4] victims was hastily disinvited.

Overt law-breaking

The East German populace sees through those in power who are circumventing basic civil rights (Article 16 of the Constitution)[5]. People are afraid of what is coming at them. Since Merkel does not follow the law, Horst Seehofer’s analysis of the “Rule of Injustice” applies. Merkel has single-handedly abrogated norms and regulations.

There is no evidence of a political culture here. I miss the anti-totalitarian consensus, I miss the open discussion of contentious subjects; I miss the respect for dissidents. A self-appointed caste of elite “opinion-makers” employs terms like tolerance, whose meaning they then subvert. Anyone who follows the press daily knows of journalists who suppress the truth, knowing full well that the people are being informed via the internet, exchanging information with relatives and friends in the west of Germany, witnessing conditions (in Berlin-Neukölln, in Duisburg-Marxloh, in Essen). After all, there is no wall anymore. Someone who compares ISIS with peaceful Pegida demonstrations must really hate dissidents.

A Troika Emerges After the Austrian Election

As reported in the news feed last night, Sebastian “Boy” Kurz and the ÖVP came in first in yesterday’s general election in Austria. The results have shifted slightly since then, with the FPÖ dropping into third place, less than a percentage point behind the Social Democrats.

What makes this election interesting is near-parity of the three major parties. Any two of them could form a governing coalition; the other parties are negligible. This means that there will be intense haggling behind the scenes as the parties jostle with each other in a bid to form a government.

The players in this Troika are:

  • ÖVP (Österreichische Volkspartei, Austrian People’s Party)
  • SPÖ (Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs, Social Democratic Party of Austria)
  • FPÖ (Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs, Austrian Freedom Party)

The following analysis of the election by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff was published earlier at Tundra Tabloids in a slightly different form.

Analysis of Recent Austrian Election Results

by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff

The elections are over, but the real battle has begun. This is a short analysis of what happened because there is much more than meets the eye.

It is by far not certain that Kurz will be chancellor. I would, however, bet that the FPÖ will be part of the next government. Moreover, FPÖ will hopefully remain third. Why? Because they will be in the best position in coalition talks; they have more options.

Kurz is not in a very favorable position: his options are limited to a coalition government with FPÖ. If FPÖ gets a better deal from the socialists, then Kurz is history. We must also remember there is a lot of distrust between FPÖ and ÖVP. A lot. Do not assume that Kurz is chancellor already. He won, but not by as much as he had hoped for; and, in any case, we won’t know the final tally until Thursday.

Also, there’s trouble with trusting someone as young as Kurz in this. There is bound to be some kind of international pressure behind the scenes.

Kurz is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations — just Google the members; it’s a Soros outfit! He refuses to discuss this membership.

What’s more, all of the ÖVP MEPs recently voted in favor of an abortion law passed in EU parliament. Some “conservative” party!

Also, Sebastian Kurz is not a good option for free speech proponents: he wants to tighten free speech laws; it’s written into the party platform.

Another reason is the failed Law on Islam. He knew the law was crap, but went ahead anyway. The law was passed, and now it’s officially been termed a disaster.

Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/15/2017

In Austria’s general election today, the ÖVP came in first with just over 30% of the vote. Sebastian “Boy” Kurz is expected to become the new chancellor. His most likely coalition partner is the FPÖ under the leadership of Heinz-Christian Strache, whose party came in second with somewhat more than 26% of the vote.

In other news, an Italian priest was kidnapped in Nigeria. His suspected abductors are the violent extremists of Boko Haram, a terrorist group that has nothing to do with True Islam.

For the OSCE, the Gate of Ijtihad Closed in 2002

Sunni Islamic Law is a compendium of rulings that enjoy the consensus of the scholars — that is, the interpretations of the Koran and the sayings of Mohammed that comprise the body of the Sharia, and that were agreed upon by all the major judicial scholars during the classical period of Islam.

The interpretation, or ijtihad, of Islam’s sacred texts by legal scholars ended about a thousand years ago. “The Gate of Ijtihad is closed”, as the saying goes — all that could be learned about Islamic law was discovered by that time, and no further interpretation is allowed. The Sharia is now set in stone. The modern Islamic jurist has only to apply the law in a thorough and rigorous fashion. Innovation, or bid’ah, is not permitted.

As you may remember, during last month’s OSCE conference in Warsaw various Counterjihad activists who read out interventions that criticized Islam were rebuked by the moderators, who said it was the “consensus of the participating States” that such intolerant speech would not be permitted.

The frequently-repeated assertion of “consensus” reminds me of the consensus of the scholars that set Islamic law in stone a thousand years ago.

In her report on OSCE Warsaw, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff noted:

The decreed truth for the OSCE since 2002 has been that its member states strenuously reject identification of terrorism and extremism with a particular religion. Ergo, there is no discussion and the problem is solved — that is why Europe is incapable of putting a stop to the terrorism coming from just one particular group.

So it seems that the Gate of Ijtihad closed for the OSCE in 2002 — a millennium after it did for Islam, but better late than never!

In the video below Christopher Hull, who was a member of the Counterjihad team at OSCE Warsaw last month, appears on Liz Wheeler’s program on OAN to discuss the sharia-compliant behavior of the staff and leadership at the OSCE:

The Bobos of Antifa go on Trial

In a notorious incident in Paris last year, a gang of “anti-fascists” attacked and burned a police car, assaulting the officers inside it. Despite their being masked, several of the thugs were identified and apprehended, and have been put on trial. As it turns out, these violent youngsters are from “good families”, and are not desperate and destitute proletarians, as the mythologists of the left would have us believe.

Below is a composite of three video reports on the topic, plus an article. Many thanks to Ava Lon for the translations, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

Here’s an article about the case from last year in Riposte Laïque, also translated by Ava Lon:

Antonin Bernanos, the Antifa militiaman of the beautiful neighborhoods

By Marcus Graven
May 21, 2016

Horrifying to report: a black man receiving strokes from a whip wielded by a white man. This black could have burned alive in the car set on fire by masked whites.

But the horror is mitigated by the fact that the black wears a police uniform and the white is an Antifa.

The mainstream media were embarrassed. How to present the information?

It’s impossible to launch into “a cowardly racist aggression against a black policeman and a young woman terrorized by the violence of the Antifas.”

They then chose the very non-political word “casseurs” [breakers]. And with a little luck, these “pigs in a blanket” [in French “roasted chicken”, because ‘chicken’ is derogatory term for a policeman] as the text proclaimed on the piece of cardboard placed in front of the car in flames — were perhaps of the far right.

A few hours later some of the attackers were arrested. A name came out: Antonin Bernanos. A friend of Clément Méric’s, a young man who was almost nice and whom the terrible right-wing extremists allegedly murdered one evening in June 2013. Like him, Antonin is a member of the anti-fascist action group Paris-Banlieue. [Clément Méric,18, was badly beaten in a clash between far-right and Antifa in Paris, in 2013, and later died.]

A shadow passes. So not all Antifas are angels?

The JDD [Le Journal Du Dimanche — the Sunday Newspaper] describes him as a “scion of a good family, living in the district of Montparnasse and working in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine)”.

A standard copy of the far left. Like Méric.

The expression “scion of a good family” suggests that a French working-class youth who votes National Front is from a “bad family”.

Bernanos. The name sounds familiar.

Bernanos as in: the author of Under the Sun of Satan and A Diary of a Country Priest? As in: the militant of Action Française, the fervent Catholic, the admirer of General de Gaulle?

Antonin is apparently his great-grandson.

Another shadow passes.

That is where we are. The so-called proletarians in revolt against the system live in beautiful neighborhoods, in bourgeois families and are educated on the left by bobo [bourgeois-boheme, French yuppies, also called ‘caviar Left’] parents who prefer illegal immigrant to the native French.

Antonin Bernanos and his brother, [translator: his name is Angel (sic!)] arrested at the same time, were known to the police for their violence. They should have been banned from demonstration, but our justice always acting as “wall of a**holes” decided otherwise. “Go, my dear Antonin, go and beat the cop to pulp”, whispered the administrative tribunal in his ear, considering the prefect of police produced “no evidence that the suspect personally participated in these abuses and violence.”

A third shadow passes.

The media are not well-disposed to take stock of the situation. They have always stood on the side of the Antifas, these red fascists attacking the identitarians, massacring supporters of the national right.

Wasn’t it they who, a few days ago, in Paris, assaulted the singer from the right Goldofaf [right-wing rapper] with hammer and truncheon?

A limping army of shadows: Mélenchon’s [Communist politician] unswerving support of the antifas, Valls [French socialist politician, former PM] who mourned the death of Méric, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet [French politician affiliated with right, conservatives] who attended to the service where homage was paid to this wonderful thug boy of the left against the families of the Manif for all. [conservative French movement supporting traditional family]

As for the admirer of erotic spanking, Cazeneuve, [French socialist politician] he never for a moment thought of asking for the dissolution of the antifa militia.
