A campus police officer at Texas Tech University was shot in the back of the head and killed today by a student who had been brought to the police station for a wellness check. The alleged shooter, a student named Hollis A. Daniels, fled the scene after the murder, but was later caught and is now in custody.

Antifa Groups Plan Nationwide “Deface Columbus Day” Acts for Monday
Tomorrow’s Columbus Day celebrations could turn violent, as various “antifa” anarchist groups have announced a nationwide campaign to deface Christopher Columbus statues during Monday’s holiday.
According to PJ Media, at least five Christopher Columbus statues have already been vandalized in New York City in recent weeks, based on reports from Far Left Watch. In one case last month, vandals defaced a “larger-than-life” statue of Columbus in Central Park, leaving blood-red paint on his hands, and scrawled, “Hate will not be tolerated” and “#SomethingsComing” on its pedestal.

A suspect name has been released after a Texas Tech Police officer was killed during a reported shooting that left the university campus on lockdown on Monday night.
Officials say a Texas Tech student, identified as 19-year-old Hollis A. Daniels, is still on the loose.
Officers were reportedly performing a wellness check on Daniels while on campus, when he was brought into the department for questioning, the officer was shot in the head, according to Texas Tech spokesman Chris Cook.
A campus emergency notification was issued shortly before 8:30 p.m., following the reported shooting.
“At this time, the shooter is still at large,” the notification reported.
Numerous law enforcement officials are staged near 19th Street and Boston Avenue, including the Lubbock Police Department SWAT Team.
Lubbock police spokeswoman Kasie Whitley is on scene and said their agency has been called to assist the Texas Tech Police Department.
The campus is on lockdown and students are urged to take shelter in a safe location.

Communist Story at Walmart Worth Repeating
After the massive shooting in Las Vegas on 10/1/2017, I figure a letter I received from Kelleigh Nelson, NWV contributor in 2014 is worth repeating. I had placed a pink stickum marked “keeper” and filed it away. Isn’t it interesting how it just happened to fall out of my file today? The letter was from Tom how one busy afternoon he went to WalMart and ran into a two English speaking customers from Romania. The father preferred that the son do the speaking who said he was 14 when his family immigrated to the United States in 1982. With some quick math he calculated the son was about 43 years old which corresponded with his appearance and the father around 70.
Tom asked, “Wasn’t Romania a communist country for most of your lives?” “Yes, Romania was put under Russian communist control in 1947,” the son replied. “What was it like living under communism?” he inquired. “There were good things and bad things about it,” he said. Surprised that there could have been anything good about it, he asked, “What was good about it?” “Well the government controlled the currency so there was no inflation and there were no taxes.” “No taxes?” he asked. “Yes, the government owns everything to start with so they don’t have to tax you. They just give you what they want to give you. My father was a farmer. They took his land away from him and made him work on a government collective farm.”

You have to understand that communists use a lot of torture.”
Tom said his heart quickened as he listened to these live witnesses tell him the inside story about a communist takeover. He said he tried one more time, “You don’t understand, Americans are armed with a lot more guns and a lot more ammunition than other countries.” The son repeated, “It doesn’t matter. They have more soldiers than you have bullets, besides in this country they have sophisticated means. Americans will not stand a chance against this government any more than we did. Your guns will be good for one thing — looters. In Katrina there were a lot of people killed by looters because they did not have guns to defend themselves. For awhile you will need guns to protect yourself from other Americans. Eventually the government will confiscate all of them.”

Convention of States Adopts Newspeak to Sell the ‘Con-Con’ Con
In the novel, “1984,” George Orwell’s unsettling prophecy of a totalitarian society, Newspeak was the official language of Oceania. It was devised to limit freedom of thought. New words were invented, undesirable words eliminated, and the remaining words redefined or limited in scope to further the Party’s ideology. So too, the Convention of States Project (COS) uses Newspeak to manipulate people into believing that the convention provided for by Article V of our Constitution is really a “convention of the states” which is controlled from start to finish by State Legislatures.

On September 24-25, 2011, radical leftist professor Larry Lessig who has ties to George Soros, and salesman Mark Meckler who now heads COS, co-hosted Conference on the Constitutional Convention at Harvard. That conference kicked off the current push for the Left and the phony Right to work together to promote an Article V Convention.
But the Convention Lobby soon realized that conservatives had been schooled over previous decades by the John Birch Society and Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum to recoil from an Article V convention, also known as a “constitutional convention” or “con-con,” because it could run amok and replace our existing Constitution.
And despite their attempt to win conservative support by focusing state Article V convention applications on supposedly “conservative” issues like a “balanced budget amendment” or “fiscal restraints,” convention proponents were met with resistance from those who understood that State Legislatures have no power to limit the scope of a convention to specific topics or amendments. The same ploy was tried and failed in the 1970s and 1980s for the same reason.

Surveillance Video Shows Stephen Paddock Practice Shooting Before Massacre
“FBI says room service told him he pretended? I’m told they are coercing employees”
On Thursday Tony Hernandez Armenta, an employee at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, posted a room receipt that shows killer Stephen Paddock was with a guest at the hotel four days before the massacre.
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer also posted evidence that Paddock was in the hotel earlier than was reported.

Texas Tech Police Officer Shot Dead, Student Suspect on the Loose, Officials Say
Texas Tech University said its campus was locked down because a shooter was “at large.”
A Texas Tech student brought to the university’s police station for a welfare check shot and killed an officer Monday night before bolting from the police department, officials said, locking down the campus and urging students and staff to “take shelter.”
Police had found “evidence of drugs and drug paraphernalia” in the student’s room, the university told the student newspaper the Daily Toreador.

After officers brought the student to the police station, that student pulled out a gun and shot one officer in the head, officials said.

Catalan President to Declare “Gradual Independence’ on Tuesday
In the latest twist ahead of tomorrow’s much anticipated “next step” announcement to be made by the Catalan secessionists, which is still to be formalized, Spain’s EFE newswire reports that Catalonian President Carles Puigdemont has reportedly drafted a declaration of “gradual independence”, that will be “gradually effective” and which will plan to start a constituent process.
The declaration, which will cap what El Periodico dubbed “the most critical moment for Catalonia” will allegedly insist on Catalonia’s wish to negotiate with central government and the need for mediation, although in an indication that Puigdemont may be back tracking from his hard-line “binary” stance, EFE adds that the Declaration won’t lead to parliamentary vote, and as such may be non-binding.

Denmark Burka Ban: Scandinavian Country Set to Become Latest to Ban Full Face Veils
DENMARK is set to become the latest European country to outlaw burkas in public places.
The proposed law would see the Scandinavian country join Austria, France, Belgium, Bulgaria and the German state of Bavaria which all have laws banning full-face Islamic veils.
A cross-party majority in the Danish parliament has now overwhelmingly backed proposals to forbid face coverings.
Jacob Ellemann-Jensen, of Denmark’s liberal party which leads a centre-right governing coalition, said the law was not aimed at any particular religion.

Ireland Honors Dead Commie Che Guevara
The postal service in the Republic of Ireland has decided to honor psychopathic mass-murdering communist Ernesto “Che” Guevara with a €1.00 (one euro) postage stamp on the 50th anniversary of his death. Italian Interior Minister Says Ban on Islamic Law ‘Non-Negotiable’

Italy: Marseilles Killer’s Brother Was Foreign Fighter in Syria
Anis Hannachi arrested in Ferrara on Saturday
(ANSA) — Rome, October 9 — Anis Hannachi, the brother of Marseilles killer Ahmed Hannachi, combatted with jihadi foreign fighters in Syria, according to information the French authorities passed on to their Italian counterparts, investigators said Monday. Tunisian Anis Hannachi was arrested in Ferrara on Saturday. He is suspected of complicity in the Marseilles attack, in which two young women were stabbed to death, and of radicalizing his brother. The Italian police executed a European arrest warrant for Anis Hannachi, who later Monday agreed to be transferred to France. The Marseilles victims were two cousins aged 20, Mauranne and Laura. Ahmed Hannachi reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he stabbed the women. The so-called Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack. Anis Hannachi was sent back by Italy in 2014 when he landed at Favignana in 2014 on a migrant boat with other Tunisians, according to the results of investigations after his arrest. The French authorities had notified Italy that he was probably in Italy on October 3 and on October 4 it was ascertained that he was in Liguria. At the moment “there is no evidence” that Anis Hannachi wanted to commit terrorist actions in Italy or had plans to do so, investigators said at a press conference Monday. There is also nothing to suggest that the 25-year-old Tunisian had “solid support” in Ferrara for logistics.
Anis Hannchis’ court-appointed lawyer, Laura Lemmi, said “My client does not understand Italian and needed an interpreter. He is as tranquil as you can be in these cases”.
In Ferrara, he was the guest of a childhood friend who told police he had “no idea” the Hanachis had become radicalised.
Italy’s chief anti-terrorism prosecutor Franco Roberti told reporters: “Ahmed never showed any signs of radicalization in Italy. “The investigative hypothesis we’re working on is that the younger brother radicalized the older one.” Ahmed Hannachi, who has shot dead by soldiers, had reportedly lived in Italy for several years and was reportedly married to an Italian woman resident in Aprilia, near Rome — the same town where Berlin truck attacker Anis Amri also lived for a short time, police said. Amri killed 12 people at a Berlin Xmas market before going on the run and being shot dead at Milan central train station in December 2016.

Padoan Has Doubts About New ECB Rules on NPLs
Economy minister has doubts about ‘method and content’
(ANSA) — Luxembourg, October 9 — Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said Monday that he had doubts about the European Central Bank’s new rules on non-performing loans. “It’s clear in Italy there is a problem with reducing bank bad loans,” Padoan said on his way into a Eurogroup meeting. “It is clear that this process has started and is going in the right direction at increasing speed. “So we are satisfied about this.
“I have perplexities about the method and content of the communication put under discussion by the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). We will discuss it in the coming weeks”.
Under the new rules, the ECB will ask lenders to put aside more cash to cover newly classified bad loans from next year.
The president of the European Banking Association, Andrea Enria, told the European Parliament Monday that the principle of the new rules “is not wrong, but it is right to see how it is applied in practice”. Industry Minister Carlo Calenda said the new rules would risk hitting small and medium-sized businesses.
He vowed: “we will fight a battle in Europe”.

Radical Leftist Pope Francis Ousts Anti-Communist Bishop From Key Post
Rolling out the tired, old “we’re all immigrants” mantra
Pope Francis continues to wreak havoc as he community-organizes the Roman Catholic church.
The latest outrage comes in the form of the pope’s September 28 decision to fire Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-Fai, the Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples at the Vatican. As a result of this power play, the 67-year-old archbishop, who has no diplomatic experience, is going to Athens, Greece, to become the papal nuncio, or ambassador, to the Hellenic Republic.
Archbishop Hon is apparently being sacrificed by Francis as an overture to the Communist Chinese. Hon is from Hong Kong and is the highest-ranking official of Chinese origin in the Vatican, the Epoch Times reports.
As the French newspaper La Croix noted, Archbishop Hon has been one of the most senior bishops opposed to Pope Francis’ policy of rapprochement with the Chinese regime. His position at the Vatican’s Propaganda Fide, where he served for seven years since being appointed there by previous Pope Benedict XVI in 2010, was a powerful post as that put him second-in-command in the Vatican body that directly governs Vatican’s missionary works.
The Vatican and the People’s Republic of China have had no diplomatic relations since 1951, as the Chinese Communist Party insisted from the very beginning of its rule that all bishops of the Roman Catholic Church in mainland China should be appointed by itself so as to maintain control. Instead, a regime-controlled Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association (CPCA) was created to supposedly represent Catholics in China, yet the CPCA has never been recognized by the Vatican.
Francis is a hero to the radical Left because he is one of them. Although the Left vindictively led the charge against the Catholic church during the various sexual abuse scandals, it now has this pope’s back because, except for abortion, he agrees with leftists.

Vatican: 3 Yrs Asked for Profiti in Bertone Flat Trial
Spina acquittal for lack of evidence sought
(ANSA) — Vatican City, October 9 — A Vatican prosecutor on Monday requested a three-year prison term for the former head of the Vatican’s Bambino Gesù children’s hospital foundation, Giuseppe Profiti, for embezzling funds to restore the Rome apartment of former Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone. The prosecutor, Roberto Zanotti, requested the acquittal for lack of evidence of former Bambino Gesù foundation treasurer Massimo Spina. The prosecutor said a picture of “desolation” had emerged, “marked by opacity, silences, and very bad management of the public good”. Bambino Gesù President Mariella Enoc told the court Bertone was “not aware nor agreed to” the revamping of his flat. A sentence is expected next Saturday.
Bertone has not had to testify at the Vatican trial of the two former managers of the Bambino Gesu’ Hospital accused of using funds to pay for the expensive revamp of his penthouse apartment.
Profiti and Spina are on trial for allegedly using 422,000 euros to pay for improvements to the central Roman flat.
“The Vatican is determined to go all the way” in the case, Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin has said.
The pair are charged with using the cash “for completely extra-institutional purposes” in restructuring Bertone’s allegedly luxury living quarters.
Unveiling the misappropriation probe against Profiti and Spina last year, the Vatican said it was in connection with expensive renovations to the penthouse apartment inhabited by Bertone.
Vatican Spokesman Greg Burke said the probe began after allegations that the work was paid for by the foundation linked to the Bambino Gesu’ pediatric hospital in Rome, confirming an earlier report by L’Espresso news magazine.
The hospital operates in the Italian national health system but is owned and managed by the Holy See.
Cardinal Bertone is not under investigation, Burke added.
L’Espresso said in its report that the Vatican had launched a probe into the funding scandal after journalist Emiliano Fittipaldi documented alleged lavish spending by clergymen in his controversial 2015 expose’ book, Avarice.
Fittipaldi was acquitted in a trial in the Vatican along with another journalist in the so-called Vatileaks 2 case last year involving the alleged leaking of confidential Vatican documents.
A Vatican former PR expert, Francesca Chaouqui, got a suspended sentence while a Vatican official said to be the chief leaker, Mons. Lucio Vallejo Balda, got 18 months.
“Pope Francis’ judges have already found evidence documenting how the renovations to the apartment were paid for by the Bambin(o) Gesu’ pediatric hospital foundation,” Fittipaldi wrote in the article.
L’Espresso claimed the renovations cost a total of just over 422,000 euros and were billed not to the contractor — the now-bankrupt Castelli Re — but to a London-based holding company controlled by Gianantonio Bandera, the owner of Castelli Re and Bertone’s personal friend.
“The money destined for sick children was in actuality used for the renovations and then sent on to London,” Fittipaldi wrote.
“In addition to the seven invoices paid to the builder out of the Foundation’s accounts at the Institute for Religious Works (IOR) and the Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See (APSA), Pope Francis’ magistrates also have signed letters nailing Benedict XVI’s former secretary of state to his responsibilities,” L’Espresso continued.
The magazine said it was in possession of correspondence between Profiti and Bertone suggesting the manager offered to pay for the renovations through the foundation in exchange for hosting “institutional meetings” in the penthouse apartment, and that the cardinal accepted the offer the following day.
“Bertone’s name is not cited in the magistrates’ document but the Holy See will find it hard to overlook his direct involvement in the scandal,” L’Espresso said.
The cardinal has denied any wrongdoing.
“(The cardinal) reiterates he never indicated or authorized the Bambin Gesu’ Foundation to make any payment in relation to the apartment he occupies,” his lawyer Michele Gentiloni Silverj said in a statement.
The note echoed denials made at the time of the revelations in autumn 2015.
“I used my savings,” Bertone wrote in Genoa-based Catholic weekly Il Cittadino last November.
“I have the paperwork to prove I paid roughly 300,000 euros to the Vatican governorate from my own account.
“I later discovered that the Bambin Gesu’ Foundation had made a contribution for the same purpose,” he continued.
“I rule out having ever given indication or authorised the foundation to make any payment,” the cardinal said.
Cardinal Bertone also denied living in luxury.
“The apartment measures 296 square metres and I don’t live there on my own. I live with a community of nuns who help me,” the prelate told Corriere della Sera newspaper at the time.

African ‘Migrant’ Stole Millions From Bronx Church and Villanova University
A Wall Street fraudster pleaded guilty to stealing over $3.5 million from a Bronx church and Villanova University in separate schemes, the state Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday.
Anthony Nyame, of The Bronx, had convinced members of the First Ghana Seventh Day Adventist Church to fork over investment cash by convincing them that he could secure millions of dollars in additional seed money, officials said.
The manipulative moneyman also managed to steal $2.7 million from Villanova University by convincing them to send a payment intended for a vendor to his own account through the use of a fake email.
“It is simply appalling that anyone would choose to fleece universities and churches to line their own pockets,” said state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. “New Yorkers deserve to know that when they seek to grow their organizations there isn’t a fraudster lurking in the shadows.”
Nyame, 59, convinced members of the church that he could secure a $30 million loan to help them build a structure on their property if they coughed up enough money for collateral.
He instead used the dough for his own ends — including $71,000 in cash withdrawals, $47,000 to pay for a Wall Street apartment and an additional $26,000 on personal goods.

Viktor Orban Reveals ‘Mission’ To Block Migrant Route With Romania

NY Attorney General Tries to Silence Free Speech
Liberty Counsel filed a motion to dismiss a federal lawsuit, filed by New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman, to shut down the pro-life speech of Christians who regularly counsel and preach on public sidewalks outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Jamaica, NY.
Liberty Counsel represents one of the defendants, Scott Fitchett, Jr., a pre-K teacher who spends his Saturdays preaching outside the facility “to persuade women to change their minds about seeking an abortion by communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Liberty Counsel’s filing includes Fitchett’s opposition to the attorney general’s motion for an immediate injunction to stop Fitchett’s sidewalk preaching of the Gospel.
The Attorney General’s lawsuit is based on the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) and similar New York laws. Enacted by Congress to prevent actual violence and physical obstruction of abortion facility entrances, Attorney General Schneiderman is using FACE to shut down pro-life speech. Schneiderman’s disdain for free speech in general, and the pro-life message in particular, was made clear in his press conference announcing the lawsuit, where he said, “We are not a nation where you can choose your point of view,” and that pro-life Christians “run their mouths” with “unlawful, un-American rhetoric.”
“It is obvious that Attorney General Schneiderman abhors the Christian, pro-life message of our client and is willing to twist the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act to silence any opposition to abortion,” said Roger Gannam, Liberty Counsel’s Assistant Vice President of Legal Affairs. “It is inexcusable for the highest legal officer of the State of New York to declare war on free speech and the pro-life message, and we hope the court will turn back this assault on our most cherished liberties,” said Gannam.

A student hauled to the police station for a “wellness check”? What kind of “wellness check” might this be to cause him to snap and do something drastic? Okay, I don’t know him and his circumstances either, but something there sounds disturbing.

On the Communist Story at Walmart: The eventual scenario is as laid out by those two Romanians. The government is organized, it has lots and lots of agencies that employ agents who are only too willing to take away firearms from law abiding folk when given the order to do so, and by force if necessary, and at the hours between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM when the owners of firearms believe they are safely tucked up in bed.
Apart from the Three Percenter’s and the Oath Keepers, there is no established and organized civilian militia that is equipped to deal with any large scale government firearm confiscation when the time comes – and it will come one day because that is where all these orchestrated mass shootings are heading to.
I can see a time when Americans will have to resort to what Australians have already done, bury their weapons and ammo for a future time when needed.
I also was struck by the story of the Communist takeover in Romania. I have been saying for a long time that guns are worse than useless against the government.
First of all, the government has active special forces and a support network. There was a news article that a sniper had killed someone at two miles. If individuals could really maintain their independence against a government, they wouldn’t need the second amendment. They keep guns because the government allows them to keep guns.
Second, if you start shooting the police and federal officials, you really will drain off any possible covert help you will get from the individuals in those agencies. It’s difficult for a government to get troops to act against civilians they identify with, which is why a government will import military from far regions if there is going to be serious suppression.
But, guns are extremely valuable in protecting against non-official domestic violence. It has a political implication because governments can use unofficial street gangs to foment violence and increase the prerogative of the government. The leftists previously looked to violent street gangs to enforce leftist government in cities, and are now using Antifa to bring violence against populists and Trump supporters. The reaction of the state and local government to the Charlottesville attacks made it perfectly clear that the street gangs were acting as a branch of the government.
In sum, nationalists should look to last-ditch political battles, and not operate under the delusion that guns can help them against a full-blown government assault. Guns can not only foster a sense of independence and manhood, but can also serve against government-surrogate violence, if backed up by legal and political firepower.
I’ve had many ‘arguments’ over the years with those who just cannot get it through their heads that the possession of ‘legal’ firearms does not make them immune from having them taken away at any time.
And there are some devious means used by government to ‘rid the streets of firearms’.
One such method in my home state, is where the government uses ‘domestic violence’ incidents as a means to ‘confiscate’ any known firearms in the possession of the aggressor in such incidents.
And while the confiscation can be appealed in court, if the owner of the firearms is convicted of any offence involving acts of violence, the chance to appeal the confiscation is automatically made null and void.
Also, anyone wishing to obtain a firearm must become a member of a ‘Gun Club’ and attend the club’s range on at least six occasions over a 12 month period in order to comply with firearms possession laws. All firearms purchased, and the only semi-autos permissible are pistols, no long arms, must be registered, kept in a locked safe at home and inspected regularly by police.
So, one may well determine that it is just not worth the hassle in legally purchasing firearms, and when one takes a close look at such legislation it becomes obvious why it is in place – to harass the legal possessor!
BTW, I don’t have any legal firearms!

Military and Fire brigades can soon wear Veil.
A few years ago, designer Iman Aldebe designed Muslim veils to the Swedish police, which the authority has bought in. Now she has also designed veilings for the Military and the Fire department. Once tested correctly, the garment can start to be used.
“They are very positive about this,” said Iman Aldebe to the GP (GöteborgsPosten).
It was her father the radical Islamist and Imam Mahmoud Aldebe,
then President of the Muslim Association, who back in April 2006 in a letter to the political parties of Sweden demanded the introduction of sharia law to govern the country’s Muslims in regard to marriage, divorce, and custody of children. He also then was trying to slip into the Parliament as a representative for the Centre Party (Centern). The ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ and Centre Party member Aldebe was on the nomination list to Parliament for the County of Stockholm in the 2010 elections. Was he elected? Memory fails
It was Iman Aldebe who 2011 raised great resurrection when she designed the first veil for Sweden’s Police. The police department also bought the garment, despite the fact that many were critical and felt that the police should not stand behind religious messages.
Now she has taken the stage even further and designed veilings for the Military and the Fire Department.
According to Aldebe, both the Defense and the Fire Department are very positive to the new veilings. However, in order for the Muslim garment to be used, it must first undergo certain tests so that they do not start to burn for example!
“I have been in dialogue with the purchasers, and there must not be any fire risk and the like. But they look very positive about this, she says to the GP.
Aldebe is one of those who currently shows her pieces at the “Norm Form”, a so-called norm-critical exhibition, which will take place until February 11, 2018 at the ArkDes Museum at Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.
According to Iman Aldebe, there were many who were upset when she launched her veil for the Police. The critics felt that she was trying to islamize Sweden or force women to wear veil.
