Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/7/2017

An Uber driver plowed his vehicle through a crowd of pedestrians today in front of the Natural History Museum in London, wounding eleven people. The Metropolitan police say they are treating the incident as a traffic accident, and that it is not terror-related.

Meanwhile, in a random knife attack in Calgary, a woman and her six-year-old son were stabbed and seriously wounded last night. The suspected perpetrator is now in custody. No name has been released, so we don’t yet know the Mohammed Coefficient for the incident.

In other news, the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) has moved into second place with 27%, according to the latest polls.

British Soldiers Were Partying in Vegas When the Shots Rang Out…what These Brave Heroes Did Next Was Amazing

They’re unlikely heroes, but make no mistake about it, these selfless men who were on leave, and on foreign soil while training in Nevada, jumped into action and saved countless American lives. Every American owes these brave young men a debt of gratitude for running towards the fire in a foreign nation to save the lives of perfect strangers…

British troops on leave in Las Vegas during the mass shooting have revealed how they ran through screaming crowds to save the wounded.

Speaking for the first time since the massacre on Sunday night, they said used pillows, tea towels, belts and their shirts as makeshift tourniquets to stop the injured bleeding out as dead bodies lay around them.

In an emotional interview, Trooper Ross Woodward, 23, said he used his army training to try and save a man who had been shot in his back but he tragically died as he was holding his hand.

Confirmed: Authorities Lied About Las Vegas Shooter’s Hotel Check-in Date — What Else Are They Hiding?

Over the last few days the alternative media has spent countless hours conducting their own investigations into what actually happened during the mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 59 dead and over 500 injured. From reports of multiple shooters to officials seemingly covering up the ISIS connection, many different theories have been put forth that counter the mainstream narrative.

Now, new information released by investigative reporter Laura Loomer proves that authorities have directly lied to the American people about the case at least once by claiming that supposed shooter Stephen Paddock checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28th when valet records (with photos) prove he actually arrived three days earlier.

According to Loomer, she obtained the image from a source which shows that Paddock’s car first arrived September 25th. The photo even has a handwritten note that was reportedly written by an FBI agent — proving that the FBI specifically lied to the country.

The picture “proves FBI misled public about #StephenPaddock’s check in date,” Loomer Tweeted.

Shockingly, another Tweet by Loomer also revealed that the license plate numbers given out by police after the horrific shooting DO NOT match the actual license plate of Paddock’s vehicle.

Did Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock Believe That He Was Justified in Shooting Conservatives Because They ‘Deserve to Die’?

It is almost certain that Paddock was motivated by some sort of ideology. According to Dr. Welner, this ideology made Paddock feel as though gunning down all of those innocent people was the right thing to do…

“His mindset is that they deserve to die,” said Welner, referring to the shooter, “So a person who adopts a cause may be otherwise law abiding but he feels righteously justified that the end justifies the means — so we’re talking now about gun control because he committed an over the top gun crime,” he added, suggesting that Paddock was “instigating a means to end with people you’ve dehumanized.”

Asked, “What do country music fans and country music artists represent?” Welner responded, “It’s Americana — it could be guns…he’s smart enough to know what this would instigate”.

Of course Paddock is far from an isolated case. Sadly, there seems to be lots of leftists out there that are wishing great ill upon Trump supporters. For example, not too long ago a blogger for the Huffington Post boldly declared that “Trump supporters deserve to die”…

And radical leftist groups such as Antifa are openly embracing violence. Those belonging to such groups truly believe that Donald Trump is another Hitler, and therefore they believe that violence is absolutely necessary in order to keep the United States from becoming the next Nazi Germany.

Of course such talk is absolutely nuts, but this is what these people actually believe. They actually believe that they are justified in using violence against Trump supporters for the greater good of society. They see themselves as freedom fighters, and they consider people like us to be the root of everything that is wrong with our society.

So is there evidence that Paddock had been radicalized prior to the shooting?

According to Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, that is something that authorities are looking into very closely…

Massive Evidence Mounts Vegas Shooting Was an ISIS Attack

A clear picture of what happened is coming into focus

Suspected Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock maintained deep ties to ISIS, suggests new evidence as a clear picture of what actually happened comes into focus.

Here’s the takeaways from the evidence so far:

1) Paddock had been radicalized, either for real or as part of a cover as he had the hallmarks of an intelligence agency cutout. Intelligence agencies were behind the rise of ISIS.

2) Paddock worked for a major aerospace company which had connections with Skunkworks — and he held multiple pilot licenses.

3) There was more than one shooter, and Paddock was clearly not acting alone.

4) Paddock was spending millions of dollars a year as an “apartment complex manager” while traveling the world and was a frequent guest at casinos — and, interestingly, casinos are one of the few legal places where someone can still launder money. You exchange money for chips, no questions asked, and even if you lose 20% or 30% from gambling, the casino gives you the rest of your money back when you turn in your chips.

5) There is a major cover-up of the shooting that is frustrating state and federal-level investigators who are being roadblocked by deep state insiders, sources told Infowars.

6) There were over 20 firearms transported to Paddock’s room in a casino which is under constant surveillance, even in the hotel rooms themselves. Notice how the mainstream media was so quick to claim Paddock was a “lone operator” the morning after the shooting, despite this clear discrepancy.

7) Evidence is suggesting that Paddock was possibly a gun runner for an intelligence agency, which would explain all the guns and the other aforementioned oddities surrounding the shooting. Even his radicalization would still fit into that narrative — remember, former CIA Director John Brennan was rumored to have converted to Wahhabism.

This video lays out all the evidence indicating there was more than one shooter: […]

Also, law enforcement sources believe the unidentified couple who told concert goers they were “all going to f***ing die” if they didn’t leave were likely part of the group behind the shooting, but later got cold feet and were trying to warn others of the impending massacre.

Ominous Earthquake Swarm at Yellowstone Supervolcano Now One of Longest Ever Recorded

The rumblings beneath the formerly dormant supervolcano known as the Yellowstone caldera just won’t quit. And the ongoing earthquake swarm at the Yellowstone National Park supervolcano is now one of the longest ever recorded, having started on June 12.

Over the past three and a half months, almost 2,500 earthquakes have been recorded in the western part of the national park. This is on par with the biggest swarm ever recorded, where more than 3,000 earthquakes took place over three months, Newsweek reports.

In its latest monthly update about activity at Yellowstone, the US Geological Survey said 115 earthquakes had been reported in the park during September. Of these, 78 were part of the ongoing swarm 6 miles north of West Yellowstone. The biggest event in the swarm last month was magnitude 2.3.

Outrage as University of Nevada Professor is Caught on Camera Blaming Trump for Mandalay Bay Massacre

Tessa Winkelmann, an assistant professor at UNLV, made the remarks Thursday to her History 407 class, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

She was recorded by an anonymous student saying that she thought ‘people will die’ in the aftermath of Trump’s election.

‘Right when he got elected, I told my classes, three semesters ago, that some of us won’t be affected by this presidency, but others are going to die,’ Winkelmann says in the video obtained by the newspaper.

Vegas Shooter Investigators “Puzzled”, Believe He Was Not Alone for Two Reasons

Sheriff Lombardo suggested that far from a suicide mission, authorities had seen evidence that the shooter planned to survive and escape.

To be sure, the question whether Paddock was alone or coordinated with some, still unknown collaborator, has been one of the most hotly debated topics involving last Sunday’s tragic Las Vegas shooting.

Now, providing further impetus to the speculation that Paddock was not alone, NBC News reports, citing senior law enforcement officials, that investigators are speculating that someone else may have been in the Las Vegas gunman’s hotel room when he was registered there.

According to NBC, the investigators are “puzzled” by two discoveries: First, a charger was found that does not match any of the cellphones that belonged gunman, Stephen Paddock. And second, garage records show that during a period when Paddock’s car left the hotel garage, one of his key cards was used to get into his room. While there are several possible explanations for these anomalies, investigators said they “want to get to the bottom of it.”

It gets better: according to Paddock’s IRS records, the gunman was not only a legacy millionaire, he was a successful gambler, earning at least $5 million in 2015. Some of that could be from other investments, but most of it was from gambling, officials told NBC.

Separately, and this goes to Paddock’s potential ISIS links which the Islamic State has tripled down on over the past week, CNN reports that in addition to his frequent forays into casinos and gun shops, Las Paddock took 20 cruises, many of them in Europe and the Middle East. In addition to stops at ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, the cruises also stopped in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, according to information provided by a law enforcement source. Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, accompanied him on nine of the cruises.

Picking up on the narrative that Paddock may have hoped to use his car as a bomb, Paddock’s car, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring, was found in the hotel parking garage and contained 90 pounds of Tannerite and two suitcases filled with hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Authorities suspect the Tannerite was intended for use in target practice or to make the car explode if fired upon, according to information provided by the source. The information from the source was derived from intelligence obtained earlier this week. Authorities have since said that the vehicle contained 50 pounds of Tannerite.

A Mother and Her Young Son Have Been Taken to Hospital After an Alleged Random Stabbing Attack in Calgary Friday Night.

“We found a female and a young child in medical distress both of whom were transported immediately to the hospital in serious but stable condition,” Calgary Police Service Sgt. Asif Rashid told CTV Calgary.

Witness told CTV Calgary that child was stabbed in the back, while his mother was suffering from a chest injury. The child is believed to be six years old.

According to police, officers were called to a park in north Calgary around 7:00 p.m. following reports of a stabbing. An unidentified suspect was apprehended soon after.

“As police converged on the scene, there was additional intelligence that came forth from neighbours and witnesses suggesting that an individual nearby might be responsible for the matter,” said Rashid. “A male was taken into custody without incident.”

Police have yet to locate a weapon but members of the forensics crime scene unit continue to search the area for evidence.

Rashid said it doesn’t appear to be a targeted attack and there is no immediate concern to the public.

“Preliminary indications are that the individual taken into custody is not known to the female and the child, however, the fruits of the investigation will bear out those details,” said Rashid…

Catalan Independence: Why the Collective Hates it When People Walk Away

The reasons for a Catalan secession are multitude and are of course noble or nefarious depending on which side you talk to. From my research, it would seem the primary drive for Catalonia is economic. Spain is one of the more indebted member states in the European Union with a national debt near 100% of GDP. The “great recession” starting in 2008 struck Spain particularly hard, with around 21% of the general population officially in poverty and over 40% of all children officially in poverty. Unemployment according to government statistics hovers near 18%.

Catalonia is the most prosperous region in Spain’s economy, accounting for nearly 20% of total GDP. Catalans also assert that taxation in their region is a primary pillar for the Spanish government, which has not returned the favor with sufficient investment in infrastructure in the region. In essence, there is a “taxation without representation” feel to the conflict, and Americans in particular know very well how that kind of situation can end.

On the other side of the debate, it is clear that if Catalonia leaves the Spanish system on negative terms, then Spain’s already crumbling economy will be destroyed. The motivation for Spain to keep control of Catalonia is high just on the grounds of economic disaster.

Beyond the economic issue, another interesting side note on Spain is its intense social justice (cultural Marxism) programs. While Europeans often suggest Spain as being a “conservative” government, in policy and action this is simply not true. Spain is notorious for being one of the most militantly feminist governments in the EU aside from Sweden, and this is saying something given the socialist nature of the EU. Gender laws and divorce laws in the country offer some of the most draconian double standards against men I have ever witnessed. Perhaps this will give you a kind of litmus test for the sort of culture we are dealing with here, and maybe it accounts for some discontent in certain portions of the Spanish population…

Collectivists, regardless of what other labels they use to identify themselves, have certain rules that they consistently follow in order to maintain power. One of those rules is that the collective is indivisible. They might pontificate endlessly about their superior democratic ideals, but when some people vote to leave en masse, either in polling booths or with their feet, the mask of benevolence always comes off and the true monster behind collectivism is revealed.

Catalonia: French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire Urged EU to Curb Independence Movements

While Catalonia threatens to tear Spain apart, the French politicians claimed the solution to put an end to the independent movement was to “strengthen” the European Union.

During a public debate broadcasted by CNBC, Mr Le Maire said: “Separatism is strong when Europe is not moving forward. If we move forwards and if we can explain to the people that we are doing that for the sake of improving their own personal situation, then it will be the end of separatism.

“If we’re not able to prove and put evidence on the table that Europe makes us stronger and improves the lives of every European citizen, then we run the risk of jeopardising the whole European project.”

Mr Le Maire’s comments came as Catalan leader Carles Puidgemont announced he will declare independence from Spain this coming week after receiving the final results of the vote.

Italian-German Mafia Operation Sees 37 Arrested

Rinzivillo clan clobbered, two Carabinieri among suspects

(ANSA) — Rome, October 4 — The authorities in Italy and Germany embarked on a huge operation targeting to the Gela-based Rinzivillo clan on Wednesday. Police were executing arrest warrants for 37 people in Sicily, Lazio, Lombardy, Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna in Italy and in Germany.

Assets worth 11 million euros were seized as part of the operation. A Roman lawyer and two Carabinieri police officers were among the people arrested. The cops are accused of illegal access to the force’s databases. They are suspected of passing on confidential information to members of the clan, which has long been allied with the Madonia and Corleonesi groups.

The lawyer is suspected of being a go-between for the mafia with other professionals. The Rinzivillo clan allegedly exercised a chokehold on the Sicilian fish market, drug trafficking between Italy and Germany and the agri-food sector in Rome as well as collusion between white-collar workers and “unfaithful” State officials, prosecutors said.

Italy: Riace Mayor Probed for Corruption — Reports

Domenico Lucano well known for welcoming approach to migrants

(ANSA) — Catanzaro, October 6 — The mayor of the Calabrian town of Riace, Domenico Lucano, is under investigation for alleged abuse of office, corruption and aggravated fraud, the local press reported on Friday. Lucano is well known for his executive’s welcoming stance towards migrants. The probe is linked to management of public money for the migrant-reception system, sources said. Italy: Moroccan Islamist Extremist Deported After Threats

82nd ejection of 2017

(ANSA) — Rome, October 6 — A 52-year-old Moroccan national and Islamist extremist has become the 82nd person to be deported from Italy by the interior ministry for security reasons so far this year, sources said Friday.

It is the 214th expulsion since the start of 2015. The man, who was of no fixed abode, lived in the town of Città di Castello, in the central region of Umbria.

He was on a list of people the authorities were keeping tabs on for his relations with an Albanian national who is thought to have indoctrinated him and was deported in 2015.

He frequently expressed his radical positions at the local Islamic centre, calling moderate Muslims ‘kafir’ — disbelievers.

He was involved in several violent incidents in public places and in August threatened to commit violence acts against a police position.

He was taken to Milan’s Malpensa airport and put on a flight to Casablanca.

Poland Catholics Hold Controversial Prayer Day on Borders

Tens of thousands have taken part in a controversial prayer day in Poland.

Catholics were encouraged to go to designated points along the country’s borders for a mass rosary prayer for the salvation of Poland and the world.

Sweden: Land of Double Standards

by Judith Bergman

The country that censors “offensive” words from children’s books — Swedish publishers and libraries have censored, among others, the classic Astrid Lindgren books about Pippi Longstocking — has apparently found politically correct replacements.

Farfar har fyra fruar (“Grandad Has Four Wives”) and Mormor är inget spöke (“Grandma Is Not a Ghost”), two books written by the Swedish author Oscar Trimbel, were featured at the book fair in Gothenburg recently. Both books are aimed at 3-6 year-olds. The first book is about “Asli, who has never been to Somalia, but now she is going there with her father to meet her four grandmothers”. Swedish children, evidently, are supposed to learn that the Islamic practice of polygamy — illegal in Sweden — is completely normal.

The second book, “Grandma Is Not a Ghost”, which features a drawing of a grandmother in a full-length jilbab on the cover, tells the story of “Omar, who meets his grandmother from Somalia. Omar wants to dress up as a ghost for Halloween and he wants his grandma to come along so that it will be spooky”. Apparently, Swedish children are supposed to learn that the jilbab, which covers a woman from head to toe, leaving only the face visible, is not a frightening ghost costume, but completely commonplace dress for women to wear. …

Double standards are extensive in the Swedish establishment not only when it comes to children’s books. On September 30, Swedish authorities were ready to allow a group of Swedish neo-Nazis, the “Nordic Resistance Movement” (NMR), to march in Gothenburg, close to a Jewish synagogue, which would be full as that day was Yom Kippur, the most significant Jewish holiday of the year. Despite protests, the Swedish police refused to listen to the Jewish community’s concerns, but a Swedish administrative court finally rerouted the march.

The Terrorist and Fiction Author Who Told the French the Tale of a “Chilean” Italy

Pennac and Henry-Lévy defended him. And the left-wing split apart

He can be considered, in some ways, the chameleon of terrorism. Cesare Battisti — arrested yesterday in Brazil, though the extradition game is only at its very beginning: afterall, his running-abroad has been nothing short of “rocambolesque” — in the seventies he didn’t rank among the most charismatic militants of the multisided far-left terrorist group, but he was beyond doubt one of its most ruthless and even reckless members, at least according to his second maybe even third life, full of prison breaks and attempted but failed arrests. Each time Battisti has always found someone — from his French supporter to the first and now former president from the leftist Workers’ party, Lula- willing to believe, one way or another, the story that he wanted to tell. Battisti had built his hiding-abroad on a myth, a false tale, a great operation of disinformation: he told himself ,and the world, that he was victim of such a totalitarian Italy (in the seventies and presumably up until today) that he compared to Pinochet’s Chile, a country of endless “special laws”, without rights nor justice. A novel, a noir book, a fiction that he eventually ended up writing…

UK: Car Hits Pedestrians Outside Natural History Museum in London

Several people have been injured after a car reportedly drove into people outside London’s Natural History Museum.

Scotland Yard said a number of pedestrians had been injured in the incident in Exhibition Road in South Kensington shortly after 2.20pm on Saturday.

A spokesperson said: “It is not being treated as a terrorist incident at this stage while we establish what has happened.”

Pictures and footage shared on social media showed street damage and a large police presence in the capital’s museum district, which is home to the NHM, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

One witness, Lesley Carter, said passersby held the man down before police arrived.

“I saw the man pinned down by about six people — one guy was trying to pin him down with his four- or five-year-old daughter in his arms,” she said.

“It looked like the car had smashed into the wall between two other cars and the guy got out to run before being pinned down. Loads of people were running away and within minutes the police had turned up. It was a very quick response.”

Another witness, Maxim, told Sky News the man was taken out of the car before being held down.

“They took a man on the ground, they took the man from the car and put him on the ground and then 20 minutes later evacuated the street,” he said. “There was a lot of police, I saw people running, people were panicking.”…

UK: Natural History Museum Incident: Several Injured After Car Mounts Pavement and Hits Pedestrians, But Police Rule Out Terror

Police have said the incident in which a car mounted the pavement outside the Natural History Museum in London, sparking fears of a terror attack, was a traffic accident.

A man was dragged from the vehicle after it ploughed into pedestrians outside the museum on Saturday, injuring 11 people.

Moments later security guards, thought to be from the museum, appeared to drag the man from the black Toyota Prius — understood to be a licensed private hire vehicle — and bundle him to the ground.

The incident provoked a significant response from the police as dozens of armed officers flooded the area and a 200-metre cordon was created around the scene.

Witnesses fled in panic as police told them to “keep running” and put businesses around the area on lockdown.

One of those helping apprehend the suspected driver was Pixie Lott’s fiancé Oliver Cheshire, who tweeted: “Thanks for messaging everybody. I’m ok. Thank you to the men who helped me pin him down and the police for coming so quickly…

Italian NGOs Welcome in Libya — Swehli

Haftar committing war crime at Derna says upper house speaker

(ANSA) — Rome, October 6 — The president of the Libyan council of state (upper house), Abdel Rahman Swehli, told journalists in Rome Friday that Italian NGOs are welcome in Libya. Answering a question on Italy’s plans to help migrants in Libyan detention centres via NGOs and UN organisations, he said “we welcome with favour any help, especially by our Italian friends, to assist the Libyan authorities”. Libyan General Khalifa Haftar is committing a “war crime” by his siege of Derna, Swehli went on, saying he had raised the issue with Lower House Speaker Laura Boldrini, who is “very attentive to human rights”. Swehli said Derna was being ignored and urged the media to “do something”. He told them: “Let it be known that every day a war crime is being committed”.

China Unveils Over 100 Smartphone Apps to Track ‘Loyalty’ To Communism

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is boasting of over 100 smartphone applications designed to allow senior party members to more accurately track their underlings’ loyalty, based in part on how much communist propaganda the individual consumes on the app.

The Chinese state newspaper Global Times notes that these apps “place additional pressure on members to properly and timely show their loyalty and enthusiasm for the Party.” Party members can be reprimanded if their superior notices they have not been interacting with other party members, reading speeches by president Xi Jinping, or taking online communism classes often enough through the app. The article notes that those who excel and indoctrinate themselves with the apps may be eligible for prizes such as pens and notebooks.

The apps offer a variety of indoctrination media aside from Xi’s speeches, according to the Global Times—among these quizzes to hone knowledge of Maoist thought and broader classes on communist philosophy with required homework.

“The apps not only provide online classes to learn Party doctrines, but also enable users to pay their CPC membership fees or socialize with each other,” the Times adds. “More importantly, the apps will help the CPC evaluate the performance of their nearly 90 million members in a visible, traceable and interactive manner.”

Self-Exiled Chinese Billionaire Warns Beijing Seeking to ‘Decimate’ U.S.

CNBC reports that his remarks come as the Chinese government has doubled down on its allegations against the billionaire, accusing him of crimes including corruption and rape — crimes he firmly denies.

“What the U.S. ought to do is take action, instead of just talking to the Chinese kleptocracy,” Guo said through a translator at an event at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

“They are just a tiny group of Mafia, pure and simple,” said Guo, who also goes by the name Miles Kwok on social media. “I would like all the members of the Chinese Communist Party to wake up and say no to this ruling clique.” …

“The U.S. is the last land of justice,” Guo told the Journal. “I would not be alive were it not for the U.S.”

However, he is still having issues in America. His Facebook account was taken down over the weekend, purportedly for violating terms of service and CNBC reports that a planned speech on Tuesday at the Hudson Institute was postponed.

In his remarks this week, he said he was aware of multiple attempts by the “kleptocracy … to weaken the United States, to bring about turmoil in the United States and to … decimate the United States.”

“These plans pose great threats to the American people and their property,” Guo said, according to CNBC, adding that those efforts are “100 times, or even 1,000 times” as potentially damaging as the 9/11 terror attacks.

San Juan Mayor on Video Disrespecting Our Constitution… But She Takes Our Money [Video]

San Juan Mayor Carmen YulÃn Cruz has scored political points among the sort of liberals who bring us the news by indulging in hysterical hyperbole after Hurricane Maria, and more importantly, by sparring with Trump. This ought to make her even more of a rock star among liberals:

When taking the oath of office, Cruz delayed repeating the words that she would “uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States,” turning her back to the woman administering the oath for a long moment. …

After turning her back and pausing, Cruz does swear to defend the Constitution, and then enthusiastically repeats to uphold the Puerto Rican Constitution.

Her approval rating was as low as 24% earlier this year. She manages to prop it up by pandering to anti-American sentiment, much like the regimes in Cuba and Venezuela.

The Pornographic War Against Brazil’s Kids

(NOTE: Most of the articles linked within are in Portuguese from Brazilian media. The images and video contained here may be disturbing.)

Powerful institutions in Brazil are force-feeding that nation’s young on pornographic images, and many angry Brazilians have reached their limit. A headline in the New York Times was as innocuous as possible given the subject: “Brazilian art show sets off dispute that mirrors political battles”. The one in the UK Daily Mail following a subsequent “exhibition” was a bit more difficult to water down: “Fury as a girl, four, is encouraged to touch a naked man in Brazilian art exhibition as politicians call on judges to prosecute the artist”.

As could be expected, neither article was able to tell the full story of the depravity of each production, nor did they fully capture the emerging fury of a Brazilian populace that is tired of seeing the results of an overly sensualized culture and the hypersexualized status quo. The stage for both these events, and others in between them, seemed to be set in place two months ago by a seemingly unrelated yet no less controversial media event, again aimed at kids. Here begins the timeline up to September 29th of this year:

California Can Now Jail People for Misusing Gender Pronouns

Limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities — $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison…

California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill Thursday.

The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code.

Known as the “LGBT Senior Bill Of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.

Congress Passes Psychological Manipulation in an Education Bill: Schools Become Mental Health Clinics

On September 20, our campaign released a Press Release that explained the violations that we allege are happening in the classrooms of America. We have 20 state coordinators and aligned two major Press Conferences, one in Austin, Texas, and another in Indianapolis, Indiana, the home state of Vice-President Pence. Please go to our website and join the campaign to help stop this psychological manipulation.

Parents, the social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of your children are being monitored, evaluated, and CODED. Behavioral interventions are being performed without your written permission or consent. Sometimes the names for this are changed to such flowery phrases as mindsets, character development, citizenship, “grit”, or even civics. This tactic effectually catches some parents off guard. Why? Because it sounds so good. Do we really know what is being tested and taught in America’s classrooms? Do you know what data is being collected on your child? Education has moved away from academics. There is now a full focus on personality with teaching and testing in non-Academic areas. The goal is changing the social, emotional, and behavioral personality traits of your child.

What Does the “Whole Child” Mean?

The “whole child” (head, heart, and hand) becomes the focus of the federal government when their job was to educate, not indoctrinate. The recently passed federal ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is the latest draconian effort to test, teach, and remediate values, attitudes, beliefs, and dispositions. The education establishment calls testing and changing attitudes and values these new buzzwords…social, emotional, and behavioral interventions. This transformation of our educational system removed academics as the main thrust of American education. It is mental health. It is psychological conditioning. It is changing your child’s personality. ESSA becomes the church of today and everyday in the classroom. The spirit of the child is the focus of changing behavior, values, and beliefs. Churches, wake up! You’ve been replaced, but so has the family.

Hugh Hefner’s Real Legacy: Disease, Despair, And Death

[T]he porn saturation of America, along with most of the rest of the Western world, has resulted in longtime and widespread devastation that extends far beyond the physical. If you think “saturation” too strong, consider:

People watched 4,392,486,580 hours of porn on PornHub in 2015. Just to put that in perspective, that means that in one year, people around the world spent 501,425 years watching pornography — on one porn site.

On PornHub, people watched 87,849,731,608 porn videos. As the porn site hastened to point out, that’s 12 porn videos viewed for every single person on the planet.

That, my friends, is the sad math of porn addiction. As a result, tens of millions of teens and adults worldwide have little to no idea what is a healthy sexual relationship, or, in many cases, how to have any type of a healthy relationship with those who share the gender of the objects of their sexual fantasies. Any notion of self-sacrifice and service to another is abandoned, and sex becomes an end unto itself. Regular porn consumers (especially men) literally lust after pornlike encounters in order to be sexually satisfied. In the minds of many men, porn has reduced women to a commodity to be consumed and an object to be abused (e.g., 50 Shades of Grey Dismay).

Breaking the bonds of trust between husbands and wives, porn has destroyed millions of American marriages. Porn use within a marriage leads to a long list of troubling issues. A recent study revealed that once porn enters a marriage, the chances of divorce double. Driven by lust that was born of porn consumption, millions of young adult Americans are shunning marriage in favor of the hook-up culture.

Hugh Hefner and Leftist Hypocrisy

The left has no values. Indeed, the left abhors values. It loves only power and the pain it can inflict upon those who embrace morality, honesty, and faith. Hugh Hefner is a perfect example of macabre perversion.

Hefner made pornography popular among middle class America. Young men have always been sexually attracted to pretty young women. There is nothing wrong with that at all. The fulfillment of that love has been through a process of courtship, marriage, and that wonderful romantic love between two newlyweds. Of course, the passions of the young often shortcut the process, and quick weddings have always been with us.

Hefner and Playboy short-circuited that process by giving young men images of female beauty in the most sexually desirable poses so that the expectations of these young men rose to unrealistic heights, and young women found themselves competing with the centerfold showing graphically what beautiful bodies taken by expert photographers and make-up artists could do.

The lives of many of these former playmates have been traumatic. Some have committed suicide; some have found out that Playboy treats these young women as high-class prostitutes; some have clung desperately onto their transitory beauty in lieu of a normal, happy marriage.

Leftists who disingenuously profess to champion the exploited conspicuously ignore these pornographers, who savage young lives and watch without caring as Playmates kill themselves and as wholesome romantic love is replaced by “hooking up” and other forms of casual, indifferent, loveless sex, which leads the wretched young who embrace this pathological behavior into different realms of Hell…

Orwell saw this well. Make everyone a pathetic, helpless atom bound desperately to the false love of Big Brother. Chop the connection between love and sexual relations so that every act of sex is drained of all real meaning and replaced by some hideous sense of duty to the state or society or the movement. Orwell’s nightmare has become a grim fact of modern life. Young people do not, of course, yet have sex simply as a duty to the state, but that will surely come.

K-12: Central Planning and Participation Trophies

Communists have always doted on approaches typically called central planning, command-and-control, industrial policy, and such. Government experts decide which factories will make which products, where you will work, and what you will be able to buy. Government experts think they know all the answers.

This alien, undemocratic way of doing things exists in place like Stalinist Russia, right? It couldn’t possibly exist in the United States. Right?

Wrong. It seems to exist spectacularly in K-12.

The Education Establishment has created an education role not mentioned in the Constitution and then exceeded all reasonable limits for that role. Ed school professors have imposed their variety of central planning on the country. Put in Communist lingo, they have expropriated our schools, but not on behalf of higher standards. Quite the contrary. They have pursued John Dewey’s social engineering schemes down a mean street called Dumb by Design. These professors have seized control of our national destiny and used that control, I believe, to make the country weaker and less resourceful.

These central planning professors have commandeered much of the country’s educational infrastructure and vast annual budgets close to 700 billion and used that power and that money to make the country less likely to succeed. (If they cared about popular education in the traditional sense, we could probably have the best educated citizenry in the world.)

Survey: Only Nine Percent of Yale Professors Are Conservative

The Yale Daily News asked University President Peter Salovey for his thoughts on the results of the survey. It’s “neither a positive nor a negative,” he responded.

“It’s in the educational interest of students to be exposed to a diversity of political viewpoints… Having said that, in most fields, the political point of view of a faculty member is not relevant to the substance of their teaching, and so we would need to be very careful about making it a part of the hiring process for faculty,” Salovey explained.

Yet, despite Salovey’s desire to brush away the survey’s finding, a few members of the Yale faculty expressed their dismay at the findings.

New Study: Global Warming Standstill Confirmed, Climate Models Wrong

Natural climate variability: Interpretation of the post 2000 temperature standstill

Abstract

The period from 2000 to 2016 shows a modest warming trend that the advocates of the anthropogenic global warming theory have labeled as the “pause” or “hiatus.” These labels were chosen to indicate that the observed temperature standstill period results from an unforced internal fluctuation of the climate (e.g. by heat uptake of the deep ocean) that the computer climate models are claimed to occasionally reproduce without contradicting the anthropogenic global warming theory (AGWT) paradigm. In part 1 of this work, it was shown that the statistical analysis rejects such labels with a 95% confidence because the standstill period has lasted more than the 15 year period limit provided by the AGWT advocates themselves. Anyhow, the strong warming peak observed in 2015-2016, the “hottest year on record,” gave the impression that the temperature standstill stopped in 2014. Herein, the authors show that such a temperature peak is unrelated to anthropogenic forcing: it simply emerged from the natural fast fluctuations of the climate associated to the El Niño—Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon. By removing the ENSO signature, the authors show that the temperature trend from 2000 to 2016 clearly diverges from the general circulation model (GCM) simulations. Thus, the GCMs models used to support the AGWT are very likely flawed. By contrast, the semi-empirical climate models proposed in 2011 and 2013 by Scafetta, which are based on a specific set of natural climatic oscillations believed to be astronomically induced plus a significantly reduced anthropogenic contribution, agree far better with the latest observations.

Reassessing Orwell to Understand Our Times

Reading Orwell, it was thought, would help American students appreciate their freedoms and gain perspective and critical faculties so as to understand socialist totalitarianism and its defining features: 1) the institutionalization of propaganda designed to warp and destroy people’s grasp on reality, and 2) the fostering of group think, conformity and collectivism designed to eliminate critical and independent thinking.

Orwell described the scope of the totalitarian enterprise, noting in one section of 1984 that “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, and every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”

In 1984, Orwell said, “Who controls the past controls the future.” Orwell’s coining of the concepts and terms of “newspeak, doublethink and thought police” are what we now experience as political correctness. Newspeak is the distorted reality accomplished by manipulating the meaning of language and words, while doublethink is the conditioned mental attitude to ignore reality and common sense and substitute and embrace a distorted or false narrative. The analogs of “thought police” in 1984 are now the enforcers of political correctness seen in the mainstream media and college campuses across the country.

As Orwell notes, “the whole aim of newspeak and doublethink is to narrow the range of thought.” Political correctness has the same goal and that’s why its adherents are so intolerant — seeking to shut down and silence people with whom they disagree on college campuses, clamoring for removal of historic statues and monuments so they can rewrite history and control the future, and demanding that people with opposing views on such subjects as climate change and gay marriage be silenced, fined or arrested.

9 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/7/2017

  1. “The Metropolitan police say they are treating the incident as a traffic accident, and that it is not terror-related.”

Yet he’s being pinned to the ground in a restraint?

    How does that work?

    • Sshh…Who are you gonna believe -the police or your lying eyes?

They’ve taken away so many ordinary human rights from UK citizens that it won’t be long before they outlaw images which permit you to see the truth. There goes the Daily Mail readership in the U.S.

    • They were probably being extra cautious, in view of recent attacks. As a Londoner, I have no problem with that!

      • You miss the point Mark – why was the driver of that vehicle restrained? What was the driver doing at the time that required his restraint?

It appears that the driver’s vehicle is the only vehicle involved in this ‘accident’, so how come his vehicle got to ‘accidentally’ plow into a crowd of people? Where are the skid marks from his vehicle that would indicate a braking reaction to avoid the ‘accident’, did the driver even attempt to brake or did he in fact accelerate into that crowd?

        This incident was no ‘accident’!

  2. We’re reaching a state in the UK now that when the authorities say an incident is not ‘terror related’ before they have had time to thoroughly investigate we know that there is a better than evens chance that it is.

When they say ‘It’s nothing to do with Islam” we know that’s precisely what it is to do with.

And when that poisonous little Muslim dwarf who runs London says it is a safe destination for tourists those of them in the know immediately change their itinerary and head off elsewhere.

People who do not comprehend these three truisms often end up dead or seriously injured.

    • It’s not white Briton’s doing these ‘accidents’ which is another clue to the motive behind these ‘incidents’.

  3. Orwell: To survive it is often necessary to fight and to fight you have to dirty yourself.

  4. Re USA: “British Soldiers…”

Why “unlikely heroes”? They may have been on leave from training, but this is what one would expect, I hope, as with the US military on a French train a while back. Respect and thanks to both groups.
