French PM: Addiction to Public Spending Must End; Vows to Slash Corporate Tax Rate

French PM Warns of More Cuts to Tackle Country’s Debt ‘Volcano’
The French prime minister has vowed to make a raft of public-spending cuts to stem France’s “intolerable” reliance on state borrowing, which he said had left the country dancing on a debt “volcano”.
In his opening speech to parliament on Tuesday, Edouard Philippe side-stepped the notion of one-size-fits-all austerity, instead insisting that the plan of the new centrist president, Emmanuel Macron, was to reduce public spending while launching a €50bn (£44bn) investment programme and cutting a range of taxes, including slashing corporate taxes to boost businesses.
Philippe’s speech revealed a delicate balancing act between what he called unavoidable public spending cuts coupled with state infrastructure investment and tax cuts that he promised would raise people’s spending power.
He warned that French public spending and debt had reached unsustainable levels. “We are dancing on a volcano that is rumbling ever louder,” Philippe said. “The French are hooked on public spending. Like all addictions, it doesn’t solve any of the problems it is meant to ease. And like all addictions, it takes will and courage to detox.”

Exclusive: Jihadi Cult Associate Arrested in NY With Firearms Stockpile
A long-time associate of a U.S.-based Islamist terrorist organization, Muslims of America (MOA), has been arrested in Johnson City, NY. Authorities discovered that he had a large cache of weapons inside a storage locker. A source inside MOA says the weapons were intended for the group’s “Islamberg” headquarters in Hancock, NY.
The suspect, 64-year old Ramadan Abdullah, was previously arrested in 1977 when he and another man tried to rob a candy store in Brooklyn and someone was murdered in the process. When police searched his home, they found enough material to build 50 bombs. In the end, the charges against Abdullah were strangely reduced (see below).
On May 31, Abdullah was arrested after trying to steal four boxes of ammunition from a local Gander Mountain store. When police questioned him about the purpose of the ammo, his answers made them suspicious, and they obtained a search warrant for a storage locker he was renting in the town of Union.
During that search, police found a large assortment of weaponry including:…

Proponents of man-made global warming have a habit of making frightening predictions that never come true. Every ten years or so, they tells us that within a decade the human race will have destroyed the planet with our carbon emitting vehicles and power plants. They say the same thing every time. The seas will rise several feet, atmospheric temperatures will skyrocket, ecosystems will be obliterated, and human civilization will collapse. And after ten years passes by without incident, they shamelessly make their next prediction.
The latest prediction is perhaps the most outlandish, and it comes from a source that you might not expect.
Famed physicist Stephen Hawking spent part of his 75th birthday celebration warning the public of the potentially catastrophic consequences of US president Donald Trump’s climate change policy.
“We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible,” he said yesterday (July 2) in an interview with BBC News. “Trump’s action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of two hundred and fifty degrees, and raining sulphuric acid.”
Hawking, who directs research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge, UK, said climate change is one of the great dangers we face, and rebuked Trump for obfuscating its existence and withdrawing the US from the Paris Accords.
“By denying the evidence for climate change, and pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, Donald Trump will cause avoidable environmental damage to our beautiful planet, endangering the natural world, for us and our children,” he said.
That is perhaps the most outlandish global warming prediction that has ever been made by any scientist. How such an otherwise intelligent man could say that is mind boggling.
For starters, there isn’t any evidence that the Paris Agreement would actually have a significant effect on the climate. But that’s a forgivable mistake. There are plenty of highly educated people who take that accord seriously, despite the evidence that suggests it’s at best useless, and at worse it could decimate the American economy. But at least there’s an argument to be made on both sides.
What’s absolutely unforgivable, is Hawking’s claim that humans could damage the earth’s atmosphere so much through carbon emissions, that it would resemble the lifeless atmosphere of Venus. To give you an idea of how asinine that idea is, the current level of Co2 in the atmosphere is over 400 ppm. 250 million years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and life on this planet was likely just as abundant and diverse as it is now, that level was 5 times higher. 250 million years before that, it was at 7,000 ppm, and the average temperature at that time wasn’t over a hundred degrees hotter. It wasn’t even close to what we see on Venus.

Islam’s Onslaught of America: Language Defines a Society
Language defines a country. It delineates the “ethos” of an entire civilization. It creates the energy of communities and their citizens. Language expresses emotions, songs and understanding.
Language also causes separation, confusion, suffering and war. Different languages constitute different ethos, and how people and countries look at the world. Different languages create different understandings.
As discovered via the Muslim invasion of Europe, one different language and ethos clashes with all Europeans. Whether you see Muslims living in the United Kingdom with English or Muslims living in France with French-you see fear, no-go zones, separation, riots and terror. All of it brought about by Muslims from the desert sands of the Middle East settling into the Western lands of green wilderness.
Notice you never see Americans or Europeans immigrating to the land of Islam. Such an action leads to loss of individual freedom, honor killings, loss of women’s rights and loss of religious rights. Multiculturalism cannot exist in Islamic-dominated lands…
Today in America, with four to seven million Muslims invading our shores, our communities feel the stress of language consequences in places like Eden Prairie, Minnesota. From November 26, 2014, USA Today by Greg Toppo “Anger, resentment over school diversity.” Our US Congress sent 100,000 Somalia Muslims to the Minneapolis area. In 1998, Eden Prairie enjoyed a full American community. Since that time, Muslims chased out Americans, overwhelmed the schools and destroyed the coherence of the community. Since they lack any usable skills, most subsist on American taxpayer welfare.
Last fall, the superintendent of the school system in Prairie and much of the staff quit in exasperation. As you know, nearly 100,000 Somali Muslims now operate in the Minneapolis area where rapes, crimes, drug trafficking, brutality, shoplifting and worse blacken the area.
Hyper-multiculturalism cannot and will not succeed in America. It’s already busting us up in Ferguson, Missouri as well as Detroit, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles.

Julian Assange Attacks Democratic Operative for Saying He’d Kill Snowden, Assange
Evan Ross is a little-known but well-connected lobbyist in Miami-Dade County. He’s also fairly active within the Miami-Dade Democratic Party: He’s the former chair of the Miami-Dade Young Democrats and is now a precinct captain within the local party. He’s used to operating behind the scenes and keeping a low profile in the local press.
But Ross has now gone from backroom lobbyist to the target of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange after the activist called him out by name on Twitter this weekend, sparking what Ross calls an online “bullying” campaign. Assange highlighted the Dade Democrat because someone sent the Australian computer programmer Facebook screencaps of Ross threatening to kill Assange and whistleblower Edward Snowden.

Kucinich Rips Dems for Proposal to Examine Trump’s Mental Fitness
Dennis Kucinich, the former Democratic congressman and presidential candidate, blasted his party colleagues on Tuesday over a push to examine President Trump’s mental and physical fitness for office — and potentially use the findings to seek his removal.
The campaign is being led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who has tried to rally support for his bill in the wake of Trump’s controversial attacks on various media outlets and personalities.
But Kucinich told “Fox & Friends” that Democrats aren’t doing the party any favors with proposals like this.
“It’s a political statement, not a medical statement,” said Kucinich, a Fox News contributor. “I think it’s destroying the party as an effective opposition.”

Mueller, Rosenstein and Comey: Three Amigos From the Deep State
There is a longtime and incestuous relationship between the fixers who have been tasked with taking down President Trump, under the fake narrative of enforcing the law. James Comey worked in the DOJ directly under Mueller until 2005. Rod Rosenstein and Mueller go even further back.
James Comey wasn’t just some associate of Mueller back then, but rather his protégé. Under the George W. Bush presidency, when Comey was serving as Deputy Attorney General under John Ashcroft, Robert Mueller was Comey’s go-to guy when he needed help. The two men, as it came to light years later, conspired to disobey potential White House orders to leave Ashcroft alone when he was incapacitated in March of 2004. These two men, when together, will not obey orders if they think they know better. Being filled with hubris and almost two decades of doing just about anything they want, they always think they know better.
Rod Rosenstein, current Deputy Attorney General under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is also a member of the Mueller Gang, having worked directly under Robert Mueller at the Department of Justice as far back as 1990. When Comey was still working as the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s office in New York, Mueller and Rosenstein were becoming thick as thieves.
We look back at Rod’s loyal work for Hillary Clinton, when he became a clean-up man for the Clinton Administration as an Associate Independent Counsel from 1995 until 1997. He supervised the investigation that found no basis for criminal prosecution of White House officials who had obtained classified FBI background reports. He did a great job covering for the Team Bill Clinton, including covering for Hillary, as she was one of the people who had access to the reports, and may have even requested them. Convenient for the Clintons, no indictments were filed.

Mysterious Fliers Threaten “Genocide of the White Race”
by Matt Boone
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — With the headline “Jobs Jobs Jobs,” fliers have been popping up around Little Italy with racially charged language appearing to target white people.
10 News has obtained several variations of the flier. While the language varies slightly, they all use the same font and have similar themes.
Alyssa Ermann said she received one on her windshield in late April. It appeared to be a jobs flier, promising to “make you rich if you join us.” Then it continued, “we are killing off the entire evil white race by making them addicted to cocaine, crack, spiked marijuana, spice, meth, heroin, hash, and other poisons, to kill them.”

Gates has expressed a lack of confidence in capitalism on a number of other occasions as well, such as when he said that “the market does not drive the scientists, the communicators, the thinkers, the government to do the right things.” In a similar vein, in March 2013 Gates told the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Global Grand Challenges Summit that capitalism frequently pursues “priorities [that] are tilted by marketplace imperatives” and thus fail to address the most vital human needs. “The malaria vaccine in humanist terms is the biggest need,” he explained. “But it gets virtually no funding. But if you are working on male baldness or other things you get an order of magnitude more research funding because of the voice in the marketplace than something like malaria.” By Gates’s calculus, governments and philanthropic organizations must intervene to offset this “flaw in the pure capitalistic approach.”
In June 2015, Gates announced that he planned to personally invest $2 billion in renewable technology initiatives over the ensuing five years. Toward that end, in November 2015 he joined the so-called Breakthrough Energy Coalition, which consisted of 28 wealthy investors from 10 countries who pledged to invest a combined $1 billion, to help “bend the curve” on climate change. “People like myself,” Gates said, “who can afford to take big risks with start-up companies, should — because of climate change — be willing to put some number of billions into the spin-offs that will come out of … government-funded activity.”
Immigration policy is another issue of great concern to Gates. In early 2014, he charged that “the injustice” of America’s existing immigration system was “incredible.” In a July 2014 op-ed which he co-authored with Sheldon Adelson and Warren Buffett, Gates claimed that U.S. immigration policy “fails badly” on two major counts: being “humane to immigrants living here,” and “contribut[ing] to the well-being of our citizens.” Advocating amnesty for those who have broken U.S. immigration laws, the op-ed said: “Americans are a forgiving and generous people, and who among us is not happy that their forebears — whatever their motivation or means of entry — made it to our soil?” A good model to emulate, said Gates, would be the “enlightened immigration policies” of Canada.
In February 2014, Gates joined former Washington Post CEO Don Graham in financing a $25 million college scholarship fund for illegal-alien students living in the U.S. as temporary residents under the terms of former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an executive action which guaranteed that most DREAM Act-eligible young people would temporarily be granted legal status, work permits, access to certain publicly funded social services, and protection from deportation.

Clapper: North Korea is now a nuclear power
James Clapper, former U.S. director of national intelligence for the Barack Obama administration, said North Korean denuclearization is no longer achievable and that Washington should focus on capping its nuclear and missile capabilities.
Clapper also confirmed, when asked last week in Seoul by reporters from the Korea JoongAng Daily and the JoongAng Ilbo, that this means South Korea and the United States must acknowledge North Korea as a nuclear power.
Clapper, who retired in January after serving six and a half years in his post, said he could attest from first-hand experience in North Korea during his trip there in November 2014 that Pyongyang will not give up its nuclear arsenal.
“Would be nice if they did, would be great if we could figure out some incentive to motivate them to give up their nuclear weapons, but they’re not going to do that,” said Clapper. “That’s their ticket to survival. It’s how they create deterrence against attacks against them, which they are very afraid of, and it’s how they have leverage, how they have face.”
Clapper’s assertion undermines U.S. President Donald Trump’s North Korea policy, which includes not recognizing North Korea as a nuclear state, imposing sanctions, not seeking regime change and resolving the problem with dialogue.
Clapper proposed setting up a diplomatic liaison office in Pyongyang and allowing the regime to set up a similar presence in Washington, or what he calls, an “interest section.” He said he once suggested the idea to the Obama White House but did not specify how the former president responded. The measure, he believes, is the “only path” to a “soft implosion” of the North.
[NOTE: Fire this spineless 0bama relic faster than he can blink. Conceding anything to North Korea—except the prospect of permanent defeat and unconditional surrender—is to reward Pyongyang with unmerited respect. It will only further embolden Psycho Fat Boy and contribute to even greater destabilization of the entire region.]

UC Berkeley Tries to Dismiss Free Speech Lawsuit
Berkeley has been the site of several protests and altercations between Trump supporters & “antifascists”
The University of California, Berkeley is trying to dismiss a free speech lawsuit filed following the cancellation of Ann Coulter’s speech at the school in April.
UC Berkeley attorneys-including Janet Napolitano, system president of the University of California, and Nicholas Dirks, chancellor of UC Berkeley-insist the claims made by Young America’s Foundation and the Berkeley College Republicans are “moot,” according to a court document obtained by Campus Reform Friday.
“The alleged restrictions were viewpoint neutral because they were not motivated by disagreement with the speaker’s viewpoint,” said the attorneys.
The attorneys assert that the cancellation Coulter’s speech had nothing to do with the author’s political views, arguing that there were instead “constitutional ‘time, place, and, manner regulations’“ which restricted her speech.
“This weak attempt by the University of California, Berkeley to brush off their egregious free speech violations is staggering but unfortunately unsurprising given their demonstrated pattern of suppressing the First Amendment rights of conservatives on campus,” said Spencer Brown, spokesman for Young America’s Foundation. “As Young America’s Foundation has done throughout the last half-century, YAF will continue to stand up for students’ rights when their own schools engage in flagrant obstruction of free expression.”

‘I’ve Had Enough’: Swedish Music Festival Canceled Due to Rape Spree
Three rapes and 22 sexual assaults reported by the festival’s conclusion Saturday night
Organizers of Sweden’s largest music festival have canceled the 2018 event after failing to stop sexual assaults.
More than 50,000 people visit the Bråvalla Festival each year. Organizers stepped up their efforts against violence after five rapes and 14 cases of sexual assault were reported in 2016.
With three rapes and 22 sexual assaults reported by the festival’s conclusion Saturday night, the festival’s founder said he can no longer allow the festival to go on.
“I’ve had enough. Violence kills the festival experience, the love for music and, beyond anything else, it hurts people,” Folkert Koopmans, the founder of Bråvalla Festival, said in a press release.
The festival further said the decision should be seen as a clear remark that sexual violence can’t be tolerated…
British band Mumford & Sons vowed to boycott the festival after being one of the headliners in 2016.
“We won’t play at this festival again until we’ve had assurances from the police and organizers that they’re doing something to combat what appears to be a disgustingly high rate of reported sexual violence,” the band said on its Facebook page after the 2016 festival.

Patients were given deadly contaminated blood for at least five years after health officials became aware of the danger, damning documents reveal.
Newly unearthed minutes of meetings held in 1980 and 1981 show that officials consciously put patients at risk during a scandal which killed 2,000 people.
Scientists were so sure the blood was dangerous, they even planned to use victims as guinea pigs to develop a new test for hepatitis, say the papers, which are likely to play a central role in a major civil action to be lodged at the High Court today, in which 300 families of victims are suing the Government.
The minutes show officials knew at least 50 patients a year were becoming infected with hepatitis. Despite this, the supply of contaminated blood was not stopped until 1986.

For Vicar to N Arabia, The Crisis Between Riyadh and Doha is Driving Catholics Out of Qatar
Bishop Camillo Ballin noted that several Catholic families have already left in the last few weeks. A “social crisis” is unfolding with many people (including Christians) losing their job. Fear and uncertainty surround the future of the “blockaded country”. Saudis extend the deadline for their demands by 48 hours.
Doha (AsiaNews) — Many Catholic families “have left Qatar” in recent weeks due to the ongoing row between Qatar and Saudi-led Gulf states. From a social point of view, it can be called a crisis, which has led “many people to lose their jobs” and “created a situation of uncertainty for the future,” said Camillo Ballin, apostolic vicar of Northern Arabia (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain).
The prelate spoke to AsiaNews about the situation of Catholics in Qatar. Most of them are immigrants who have been badly affected by the serious dispute that broke out in June between Riyadh and Doha.
“This situation ends up touching Christians who have no personal interests in local politics,” the prelate said. Uncertainty “does not encourage investment and the result is a blockaded country.”
The row stems from charges against Qatar that it supports Islamic terrorist groups and, above all, that it maintains diplomatic and trading ties with Iran, Saudi Arabia’s main enemy in the Middle East.
Others contend however that a final battle for Middle East domination is underway between Wahhabis and the Muslim Brotherhood, with serious repercussions on the tourist sector and employment.
Saudi Arabia and three other Arab states have extended the deadline by 48 hours for Qatar to accept a list of demands or face further sanctions. The initial deadline expired yesterday.
According to some sources, the Qatari government, which has called the demands an “affront to international law”, is expected to respond in writing.
Qatari Foreign Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani in fact has handed a letter signed by Qatar emir to the Kuwaiti government, which is acting as mediator.
At present, “there are still no definite numbers” about how many Christians have left the country, Mgr Ballin said. However, it is certain that “several families have already gone” and that the number of more than 300,000 Catholics before the crisis “could soon drop.”
The local Catholic community is made up of “economic migrants and labourers, largely from Asian countries, especially India, the Philippines, Bangladesh and Pakistan.”
Christians work in various fields, some specialised like “nursing, pharmacy, medicine, education”. Others are unskilled labourers who do many things “to maintain their families”.
“In daily life, there are still no visible effects of the crisis,” Mgr Ballin noted, “because Iran and Turkey are providing the country with all its needs. However, these imports are more expensive and end up affecting poor people.”
Many are afraid that if “there are other sanctions or if the countries that froze bank accounts decide to withdraw their money, it will be a tragedy for Qatar. The first to lose will be the poorest.”
The impact “is already visible in the labour market and in the fact that large investors are not interested in new projects.”
“Instability is a clear danger that has been unfolding at a regional level since the fall in oil prices. Obviously, there is no shortage of fears about a new conflict in the region with more repercussions, especially on jobs and people’s lives.”

“Those who leave are certainly not planning to come back, at least not immediately,” he explained.
Meanwhile, “We try to help those who stay, but it is not easy because the needs are great and the climate of uncertainty does not help. Moreover, the Church cannot provide for thousands of families. If there is no work, the only alternative is to leave.”
The prelate warns that the present situation leads to the impoverishment of the local Christian community, and has become a source of “serious concern. That is why I ask you to pray for us and for the dozen priests who are in daily contact with the community.”
Qatar’s resident population is made up of 313,000 Qatari citizens and 2.3 million expatriates, fluctuating considerably depending on the season and job availability.
Overall, Catholics in Qatar number more than 300,000 (divided into four rites: Latin, Maronite, Assyrian-Malaysian, and Assyrian-Malankarese) out of a total population of about 2.6 million (2017).

Total Inks Multi-Billion Deal With Iran in Spite of US Sanctions
Total is the first company to sign such an important agreement with Iran in more than ten years. The estimated investment is US$ 4.8 billion. The US hostile position slows down the normalisation of Iran’s economic relations, but Europe looks forward to future agreements. For Zarif, Iran remains committed to the nuclear deal “despite reckless US hostility”.
Tehran (AsiaNews/Agencies) — French energy giant Total was set to defy US pressure on Monday, with a multi-billion-dollar gas deal with Iran, the first by a European firm in more than a decade.
It is by far the biggest vote of confidence in the Islamic republic since sanctions were lifted under a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.
Total is to invest an initial US$ 1 billion in the South Pars offshore gas field as part of a consortium with Chinese and Iranian firms.
Total’s CEO Patrick Pouyanne and Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namadar Zanganeh signed the 20-year deal, which will eventually see the consortium pour US$ 4.8 billion into the South Pars phase 11 project.
Total will take a 50.1 per cent stake in the South Pars phase 11 project, whilst China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) will own 30 per cent and Iran’s Petropars 19.9 per cent.
The aim is to start pumping into Iran’s domestic grid in 2021, eventually reaching 50.9 million cubic metres of gas per day.
European firms have been eyeing opportunities in Iran, which has the world’s second-largest gas reserves and fourth-largest oil reserves, but they have been cautious about investing due to US hostility.
Many companies and financial institutions are reluctant to engage with Tehran for fear of repercussions from Washington. For example, Shell and Russia’s Gazprom have signed only preliminary deals to date.
In view of this, Total has appointed a compliance officer with the sole task of ensuring it does not fall foul of US measures against Iran.
Last month, the US Senate passed a bill imposing new sanctions on Iran for its support for acts of international terrorism.
The law has yet to go to the House of Representatives, and it is unclear whether President Donald Trump will abandon the nuclear agreement with Iran.
Any attempt to scupper the latter will likely face major push-back from its other signatories: Great Britain, France, Germany, China and Russia.
Last month, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif met with European Union leaders, and tweeted that they were committed to the nuclear deal “despite reckless US hostility”.
Total has a history of involvement in the Middle Eastern nation, having led development of phases two and three of South Pars in the 1990s.
Total had signed up to develop Phase 11 back in 2009 but was forced to abandon its projects in 2012 when France joined a US-led campaign to impose sanctions, including an oil embargo, against the country.

Where is ‘Islamic State’ Leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi?
Three years ago, video emerged of the leader of so-called Islamic State (IS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, commanding allegiance in a sermon at the Great Mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul. The Iraqi city had been freshly captured by the jihadist group and a “caliphate” declared.
At the time, IS controlled a region the size of the United Kingdom — but since then a global war against the jihadists has sent them into retreat, and the whereabouts of Baghdadi — a man with a $25m US bounty on his head — are a mystery.
On the third anniversary of Baghdadi’s first — and last public — public appearance, IS no longer controls most of the land it once held and its leader has been conspicuously silent since addressing followers in a recorded audio message last November, after the battle to dislodge the group from Mosul began.
Amid this silence, unconfirmed reports of Baghdadi’s death have recently surfaced. Russia’s deputy foreign minister said it was “highly likely” Baghdadi was killed in a Russian air force strike on Raqqa on 28 May, and an Iranian official asserted last week that he was “definitely dead”. However, both claims were questioned by American officials.

Huge Explosion in Russia Leaves 165ft Crater in Arctic Tundra
The eruption left a 165ft crater in the Arctic tundra
The terrifying account came from a herdsman on the Yamal peninsula amid warnings of more than 700 sites in the region where further methane gas eruptions are predicted endangering homes and industrial sites.
He was left clinging to a new-born deer after its mother bolted in fear.
The sudden and deafening bang shook the ground and sent flames shooting into the sky after the explosion on the bank of an Arctic river, herders told top Russian scientists who raced to the scene following last week’s eruption.
Fire raged at the site for “several minutes” with huge lumps of frozen soil was thrown on either side of the river bank.
The funnel is believed to have erupted due to a warming climate leading to thawing permafrost and the release of methane gas which has lain frozen under the surface for thousands of years…

Broken Heart Syndrome Kills ‘SABC 8’ Journalist Suna Venter
Cape Town — The body of senior radio producer Suna Venter, one of the ‘SABC 8’ journalists, was discovered at her flat in Fairland, Johannesburg, on Thursday morning, her family confirmed.
Venter, 32, had recently been diagnosed with a cardiac condition known as stress cardiomyopathy or “Broken Heart Syndrome”, which could cause rapid and severe heart muscle weakness.
The family believed this had been caused by trauma and prolonged periods of unnatural stress.
“Those closest to her believe that her condition was exacerbated, if not caused, by the events of the past year.”
She was part of a group of eight SABC journalists who were fired, and seven later reinstated, for objecting to former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s policy of no longer airing footage of violent protests.
Their reinstatement and a subsequent Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee investigation into the affairs of the SABC were lauded as a victory.
Despite this, she was the victim of continued intimidation, victimisation and death threats.
Venter was shot in the face with a pellet gun at the beginning of the year, after coming out of a restaurant in Linden, Johannesburg, while buying take-away food.
She received surgery to remove the metal pellets from her face.
Over the past year, she also received threatening messages on her phone…

North Korea Missile Launch Marks a Direct Challenge to Trump Administration
North Korea’s test launch Tuesday of what appeared to be an intercontinental ballistic missile marks a direct challenge to President Trump, whose tough talk has yet to yield any change in Pyongyang’s behavior as the regime continues its efforts to build a nuclear weapon capable of striking the mainland United States.
The latest missile flew higher and remained in the air longer than previous attempts — enough to reach all of Alaska, experts said, in a major milestone for North Korea’s weapons program.
The test comes just before Trump will see key Asian leaders and Russian President Vladimir Putin later this week.

North Korea Missile Test: US Seeks Security Council Meeting
The US has sought an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss North Korea’s new missile provocation.
A closed-door session of the 15-member council is expected on 5 July.
The request came after North Korea said it had successfully tested its first intercontinental ballistic missile.
US officials believe the claim is likely true, meaning the North may now be able to fire a missile to Alaska. Experts say it cannot accurately hit a target, however.
China and Russia, which share a land border with North Korea, have called for a freeze on Kim Jong-un’s nuclear programme.
They urged the US and South Korea to suspend large-scale military exercises.
The two countries also called on the US to avoid deploying the Thaad missile system — which aims to intercept attacks from Pyongyang — in South Korea.
Chinese President Xi Jinping was in Moscow, where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

US Vows it Will ‘Never Accept a Nuclear North Korea’ After New Missile Test
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Tuesday that the U.S. would “never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea” while U.S. and South Korean forces held joint ballistic missile drills after the Communist nation successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile.
Tillerson also called for all nations to fully implement United Nations sanctions against North Korea, saying “global action is required to stop a global threat.”
President Trump Trump did not directly mention North Korea or the missile launch during his Independence Day remarks at a picnic for military families on the South Lawn of the White House. However, he did note that “we do have challenges, but we will handle those challenges. Believe me.”

95 Per Cent of Gang Criminals in Stockholm Have a Foreign Background
Amidst a wave of bloody, gang-related murders in Stockholm, and police warnings that the situation is likely to get worse, a report has found 94.5 per cent of people identified as being involved in the Swedish capital’s violent, organised crime scene have a migration background.
Stockholm has been the site of 552 shootings linked to criminal gangs since January 2011, 46 of which were deadly. Swedish newspaper Expressen reports that the city has seen a “record number of unsolved murders amidst seemingly endless gang shooting incidents” in recent years.
Expressen’s analysis of the situation, which included mapping 192 individuals who police confirmed to be part of gangs in Stockholm and the city’s organised crime scene, uncovered striking statistics about mass migration’s effect on crime in the Swedish capital.
According to the study, 94.5 per cent of people involved with organised crime had at least one parent born abroad. 40.6 per cent of the criminals looked at by the newspaper were themselves born overseas, whilst both parents of 82.2 per cent of gang members were foreign-born.
The report notes the main country of origin for gang criminals was Iraq, but other overrepresented nations which stood out to researchers include Somalia, Syria, and Turkey.
Criminologist Manne Gerell, a researcher at Malmö University, said that “structural racism” is what lies behind the massive overrepresentation of migrants from poor and violence-plagued third world countries in Sweden’s crime statistics.
“Many people who come from other countries and living in deprived areas feel they are discriminated against,” he told Expressen.
Adam Marttinen, an MP for the populist Sweden Democrats, offered a different explanation for the figures, asserting that “irresponsible levels of immigration lead to crime”.
“Other political parties’ indulgence of such policies have enriched organised criminal gangs,” he posted to Facebook, commenting on the Expressen report.

Austria Ready to Deploy Troops at Brenner, Rome Summons Envoy
Four armoured vehicles already taken to border
(ANSA) — Rome, July 4 — The Italian foreign ministry summoned the Austrian ambassador to Rome on Tuesday after Vienna said it was ready to deploy up to 750 troops at its border at the Brenner Pass “very soon” unless the flow of migrants from Italy diminishes. “I think that border controls will be activated very soon and an army deployment will be necessary,” Austrian Defence Minister Hans Peter Doskozil was quoted as saying by the Kronen Zeitung newspaper Tuesday. He added that the measure will be “indispensable if the flow of migrants from Italy does not diminish”. Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz then defended the plan. “Our preparations for controls at the border with Italy are not only just, but also necessary,” Kurz said. “We are preparing to defend our border at the Brenner if that is necessary”.
Four Austrian military Pandur armoured vehicles have reportedly been taken to the Brenner Pass and they could be used in the migration control operations announced as possible by Doskozil. Austrian news agency APA reported the measures, including the deployment of the 750 troops, could be activated within three days. The Italian foreign ministry in Rome said in a statement that the Austrian Ambassador to Rome, René Pollitzer, had been summoned on Tuesday morning by the ministry’s Secretary General, Ambassador Elisabetta Belloni, “following the declarations of the Austrian government about the deployment of the troops at the Brenner”.

Bill Gates has warned that European leaders risk deepening the migrant crisis by being too generous to those arriving on the continent.
The Microsoft founder said countries such as Germany will not be able to handle the ‘huge’ numbers of migrants waiting to leave Africa and find a better life overseas.
Instead, the 61-year-old suggested spending more on foreign aid to treat the root causes of migration, while making it more difficult for people to reach the continent.
‘Germany cannot possibly take in the huge number of people who are wanting to make their way to Europe.’
Mr Gates praised Chancellor Merkel’s commitment to spending 0.7 per cent of GDP on foreign aid as ‘phenomenal’, and asked other European leaders to follow suit.

Bill Gates: Europe Will be Overwhelmed Unless it Stems Flow of Migrants
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has warned that Africa’s population explosion will overwhelm Europe unless the continent makes it more difficult for migrants to reach its shores.

In an interview with the German Welt am Sonntag newspaper, Gates said massive population growth in Africa will result in “enormous [migratory] pressure” on Europe unless countries increase overseas development aid payments.

The Future of Multicultural Europe: German City With the Most Immigrants Also Has the Most Crime
Over the past 20 years, European cities have slowly become more ethnically diverse, as EU governments open their borders to foreign populations.
And as this process has taken place, the authorities have been quick to cover up any crimes that have been committed by these populations. For instance, Swedish police are no longer allowed to describe the ethnic background of the criminals they catch, and most notably, the German government and press were desperate to cover up hundreds sexual assaults that occurred in Cologne in 2015.
However, there are certain statistics that can’t be covered up. A government can try to conceal the connection between crimes and specific ethnic groups, but they can’t cover up the overall crime statistics of an entire city. Plus, politically correct governments can’t really hide the ethnic diversity of their cities. That’s something that their progressive sensibilities command them to promote.
Fortunately, sometimes those two factors come together to give us all a good look at the relationship between immigration and crime in Europe, despite the best efforts of European governments to conceal that connection. For example, the German government recently revealed that more than half of the population of Frankfurt has a foreign background, arguably making it the most diverse major city in Germany.
And on top of that, the data reveals that these people aren’t thriving in Germany. 49% of people with foreign backgrounds in Frankfurt live below the poverty line, compared to 23% of native Germans, and they are significantly more likely to be unemployed. But that’s not the real kicker. Frankfurt was a diverse city long before the migrant crisis reached its peak, and even then it had a startling crime rate.
Of course if you brought this fact up to most leftists, they would call you a racist. But it has nothing to do with race. The real problem is that Germany hasn’t properly vetted their immigrants, nor have they successfully assimilated them. Germany is inviting people into their country who have no respect for German law, and they aren’t pressuring them to join German culture. And the result is rather predictable. Germany has a large foreign population that is young, jobless, alienated from mainstream culture, and more likely to commit crimes.

‘We Can’t Afford to be Pro-Eu’ Italian MP Warns Macron Migrant Crisis Threatens Whole Block
An Italian MP had a cutting message for French president Emmanuel Macron telling him it was not easy for his countrymen to be as pro-European as the newly elected centrist.

“About 80% of migrants arriving in Europe go through Italy. It’s simple math. Of the approximately 90,000 migrants that landed in 2017 in Europe, some 80,000 arrived in Italy.”
The Italian politician then explained the shocking financial cost to his country and called for more help from the European budget.

Canadian Baby is World’s First Child to Have Gender Marked as ‘Unknown’
Searyl Atli, an 8-month old Canadian child who is biologically female, is the first child in the world to have his or her gender marked as “unknown” on official documents.
The baby, born in the Canadian province of British Columbia, will have a “U” (for “undetermined” or “unassigned”) in place of an “M” or an “F” on their social services card, according to the Canadian state news service.
Searyl’s birth certificate, though, still identifies them as female.

Here’s What the 2018 Olympic Gender Regulations Look Like
“For me, she is not a woman. She is a man”
The International Olympic Committee (IOC), in charge of making the rules for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea, said that there will be no sex or gender testing required for the upcoming games.
“With regard to Hyperandrogenism in female athletes, there were no regulations in place at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and there will be no regulations in place at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 as we are still awaiting the resolution of the Dutee Chand case,” the IOC wrote in a June email in response to an inquiry into how it would regulate the upcoming Olympics. The response follows controversy that sparked after 800-meter South African runner Caster Semenya won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil. Semenya’s intersex condition causes her to produce more testosterone (hyperandrogenism) than most women, prompting questions about whether she had an unfair biological advantage.

On Neanderthal DNA and other possibilities that is still based largely on theory. In other words, those who pretend they know how Humans, as we are today came about, really haven’t a clue, but I guess a theory is better than having to believe that there may have actually been manipulation from an outside source to our current DNA.
They could always accept their timeline is wrong. But then that would do two things: shake the whole field as much as Darwin’s evolution theory and, most importantly, endanger the whole “out of Africa” idea (that especially newer finds seem to debunk anyway). Not something those scientists would do, science has, in a way, grown far more rigid than it ever was in Darwin’s time.

Think Mariel boatlift. From the 1985 link:
Five years ago today , Cuban President Fidel Castro closed the harbor of Mariel, ending a five-month boatlift that dramatically changed the face of South Florida.
Most of the 125,000 Mariel refugees who sailed into Key West in the “Freedom Flotilla” have managed to adapt to American life, starting businesses, marketing their skills and raising families.
But their successes have been overshadowed by the actions of an estimated 16,000 to 20,000 criminals and other misfits who have contributed to an alarming increase in South Florida crime.
On any given day, there are 350 to 400 Mariel Cubans in Dade County jails, according to a recent report by the Dade-Miami Criminal Justice Council.
This year alone, the county will spend more than $6 million to house those criminals. The state Department of Corrections will shell out another $6 million to house Mariels convicted of felonies in Dade, the report revealed.
Mariel criminals in Florida jails have an average of nine years of prison time left, bringing the cost to state taxpayers to nearly $72 million by the time they are released, the report says.
The cost isn’t the only thing worrying Florida officials. The steady influx of new inmates is putting a squeeze on overcrowded prisons already under pressure from a federal court order capping their populations.
Consider how a mere “16,000 to 20,000 criminals” were able to cause all those millions of dollars in needless expenditures and damages.
Now, imagine the human and financial toll that MILLIONS of these same criminal types will inflict upon Europe. This tsunami of Muslims will end up considering themselves incredibly fortunate if they have the luxury of being deported in ocean liners or Boeing 767s. “How about 1000 imams and 2M Muslims in Germany must brace for more Deportations?”
Yours is a fate that is far better than what likely awaits them at the hands of enraged indigenous Europeans.
It is surreal to watch these invaders continually antagonize all and sundry without the least indication that any of them suspect how they, somehow, might be held to account for their crimes.
It is crucial to remember that nearly all of these cretins come from environs (be they urban or rural) where “rough” vigilante justice is the norm.
Ergo, there is no chance to reasonably presume that these violent predators are:
A.) Unaware of how repugnant their behavior is
B.) Sufficiently versed in lax EU legal penalties to where they can have any justifiable expectation that their offenses will not be met with harsh punishment
Yes, I realize that most of these maggots have “smart phones” and may have some dim awareness of Europe’s idiotically flaccid “justice” system.
All the same, all of them bloody-well-know that much of their criminal behavior is tantamount to a death sentence in whatever hellholes that they came from.
The longer that EU nations shelter these thugs from the (well-deserved) consequences of their misconduct, the more likely it becomes that hemp neckties become the norm.
