The Minneapolis police officer who shot an unarmed woman to death on Saturday night has been identified as Mohamed Noor. The victim, Justine Damond, was talking to Mr. Noor’s partner through the driver’s side window when the second policeman fired his service weapon from the passenger seat. Three complaints have reportedly been filed against Mr. Noor since he joined the force in 2015. The incident has a Mohammed Coefficient of 100%.
In other news, a woman who drove her car into a barrier and a police cruiser near the Capitol in Washington D.C. has been arrested and charged with various offenses. She and a police officer were lightly injured in the incident.

Chicago Anti-Violence Activist Shot in Back Walking Down the Street
A Chicago anti-violence activist who worked to lessen the gun crimes in the city was fatally shot in a spate of gun violence over the weekend.
Community activist William “Willie” Cooper, 58, was among the 56 shooting victims in the city over the weekend, reports ABC 7 Chicago.

The Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed Justine Damond in the alley behind her home Saturday night has been identified as officer Mohamed Noor. Meanwhile, state investigators have confirmed that they did not find any weapons at the scene.
Noor, 31, joined the department in March 2015 as the first Somali police officer to patrol the 5th Precinct in southwest Minneapolis, according to a city newsletter. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Augsburg College. Before joining the department, he worked in property management in commercial and residential properties in Minneapolis and St. Louis, Mo.
Chief Janeé Harteau issued a statement Monday afternoon saying she would request a speedy investigation into the shooting, which she called “tragic.”

“I have many of the same questions and it is why we immediately asked for an external and independent investigation into the officer-involved shooting death,” said Harteau, who is on vacation but is receiving regular briefings, according to a police spokesperson. “I also want to assure you that I understand why so many people have so many questions at this point. I’ve asked for the investigation to be expedited to provide transparency and to answer as many questions as quickly as we can.”

North Carolina Man Pleads Guilty to Murdering Neighbor in the Name of ISIS
BURKE COUNTY, NC (WBTV) — A man convicted of attempting terrorism in support of ISIS has pleaded guilty to the murder of a Burke County man as a practice for a mass attack he had planned.
Justin Sullivan was in court Monday morning and plead guilty to first-degree murder of his neighbor, 74-year-old John Bailey Clark. He was sentenced to life without parole for the murder.

Officer Identified as Firing Fatal Shot Has 3 Complaints on File, City Records Show
The Minneapolis police officer said to be the one who fired the shot that killed 40-year-old Justine Damond Saturday night in southwest Minneapolis had three complaints on file, according to city records.
Multiple sources confirmed to KSTP Monday morning that the identity of the officer is Mohamed Noor.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report, released Monday night, indicates Damond died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, and that the manner of death was a homicide.
Noor joined the department in March 2015 and is currently assigned to the 5th Precinct in the southwest part of the city.
City records show one complaint against him was dismissed with no disciplinary action being taken. The other two remain open.

Police: Mother Did Not Lose Unborn Child in Colerain Township Mass Shooting
Misinformation hinders investigation, police say
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — False information has hindered the Colerain Township mass shooting investigation, police said Monday.
Nine people were shot — one fatally — at a gender reveal party July 15 on Capstan Drive. Autumn Garrett was killed and several children were injured, police said.
A total of 14 shots were fired inside the living room of the home. The latest police report says seven adults were injured, five women and two men.
Family members said an unborn child was also killed in the investigation, but police said this information is not true.

“Sadly, the police department, media and public, have been given information we have found to be is false,” officials wrote Monday in a press release. “Hours and days have been wasted following leads known to be lies when they were provided to our officers. From the very beginning of this investigation, we have met significant resistance that is uncommon from victims of crime wanting a resolution.”
Police used the unborn child incident as an example of misinformation.
“That information is not provided to embarrass anyone, only to provide a fair understanding of the challenges we have faced in the past nine days,” officials said.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation.
Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to arrests in the case…

Police Investigating Shooting Near Naval Station Norfolk
NORFOLK, Va. — Police are on the scene of a shooting outside of Naval Station Norfolk, according to a Navy spokesperson.
Officers were dispatched to Hampton Boulevard and Admiral Taussig Boulevard on Monday around 7:10 p.m.
Officials have shut down Admiral Taussig Boulevard as they investigate the shooting.
There is no word on any injuries. No suspect information has been released.

‘Suspicious’ Car Crashes Into Capitol Police Cruiser, Injuring Officer
A U.S. Capitol Police officer suffered minor injuries when a car crashed into his cruiser and a barrier Monday morning near the Library of Congress and U.S. Capitol Building.
The car was westbound on Independence Avenue SE when it crashed at Second Street about 11:45 a.m., Capitol Police said.
Police used a robot to search the “suspicious” car. Several first responders yelled “Fire in the hole!” as police used two loud, controlled explosions to disrupt any explosives that might be in the trunk.
A bomb technician examined and cleared the car, Capitol Police said.
Police said they found no evidence of terrorism in the incident.

Shooting Scare at German School Near Stuttgart
Police in the southwestern German town of Esslingen say they are searching for a teenager who reportedly entered a school with a gun. Officers say the suspect fled the premises on a motorbike.
Students at the Friedrich-Ebert School in Esslingen raised the alarm on Monday after spotting a man with a firearm inside the building, according to police.
Spokesman Björn Reusch said the suspect did not fire the weapon and no one was hurt during the incident.
Authorities described him as “male, aged 17-19, 170-180cm (67-71 inches) tall, bearded, darker skin, (wearing) a blue T-shirt & light shorts.”
He reportedly left of his own accord, fleeing on a motorbike.
The technical and vocational school was put under security lockdown for several hours. The high-school-aged students were ordered to stay in their classrooms while the school was searched as a precaution. Other nearby schools and kindergartens were also barricaded, but police eventually gave the all-clear for students to go home after a search of the area came up empty.
Authorities made an arrest earlier on Monday, but released him a short time later, saying they had the wrong person.

Mohammed Noor was seated in the passenger front seat (observers position) and used his sidearm to shoot across his partner who was seated in the drivers position and talking with the victim at 11:30 pm after responding to a possible incident in an alley near where the victim lived.
It would not be possible for Noor to have a better and clearer view of the victim than the driver who was speaking with her. As an ex-cop it defies logic as to why Noor would draw his weapon and shoot without alerting his ‘partner’ as to his intention. Did he do this? If he did do this then what was it that caused him to draw his weapon while his partner apparently was unaware of any danger being presented to him from the victim, and to what we are privy to so far, appeared to offer no objections, resistance or indeed, was even aware of Noor’s intention?
Police training instills in the aspiring and the hardened police officer to be alert for weapons being handled by those they may speak to in the course of their duty – it is called officer safety and is a vital component of training that keeps cops from dying on the streets unnecessarily.
That this incident is being treated as a homicide is telling – there appears to be no self-defence issue for Noor at stake here. His action in this incident appears to be deliberate, calculated and without just cause.

Just getting a gun out of a standard cop holster takes pre mediation and some effort. Most have a big flap about 1/4 down and 3 or 4 snaps. Maybe he took the gun out before they got there.
mari, been a long time since you noted how police now wear their side arms – generally strapped to the thigh these days in open holsters, although some still wear it on their hip. Training is such for police that doing the ‘quick draw’ seems to be faster than the actual thought of drawing it out.
You may be right though about Noor already having his gun out and ready to use it.

Hey, I live in this Far Left city of lunacy too. This afternoon I took a bunch of gladioli to the her house and left it with all the other tributes along the fence. I’m an Aussie and we love gladioli because of our comedian Barry Humphries making it an Aussie icon. The press was there and I spoke with an ABC guy who said that it was all a terrible mistake and referred to the other recent police killing saying that some people were unfit to be police officers, but that until they actually kill someone, it’s not evident.
In this case, it WAS evident because the Somali had two prior complaints against him!
As for the Mayor – she has tried to woo the Muslim community. ‘Bike Path Betsy’ they call her. We have bike paths proliferating everywhere because they are SOOO PC and ‘European’ and they absolutely hinder the flow of traffic and are hardly used. It’s America! People drive!
Be that as it may, the BLM crew are very active. But I doubt they’ll be protesting the death of a blond, white woman, although I did see an African American granny with her two small grandkids walking up and reading all the signs and looking at the floral tributes. She obviously lives locally.
There are rainbow signs in people’s yards all over this area saying ‘Everyone is welcome here’ and during Ramadan there were even signs in people’s yards saying ‘Blessed Ramadan’ which, had I been a teenager, I would have ripped out of their lawns and trashed.

I’m an American and have approached police in their cars several times and all they did was roll down the window and speak with me.
It appears it’s not only German festivals that benefit from multiculturalism, the gift that keeps on giving.
In my own country, every year the City of Ghent holds the ‘Gentse Feesten’, a grand event lasting almost a week with numerous music bands, eatery stands, comedians, street theater etc. I used to go sometimes when I was a student.

The article is about a 52 year old woman, from the town of Aalst (some 30 kloms east of Ghent). During the ‘Gentse Feesten’, she was approached by an African who wanted her to come with him, presumably not for helping him with infinitesimal calculus.
She refused. He knocked her to the ground and she’s now recovering in a hospital.
I admit, all these stories – and there are many, it’s just that I can’t bring myself anymore to elaborate on my blog – are eating at me. I admit that more and more, I am experiencing a sense of approaching doom.

And that is only one aspect of our growing chaos – i.e., our inability to make moral distinctions.
There are simply no limits now. Moral maturity is judged by one’s ability to refuse any distinctions between right and wrong. Truth and justic can be found only in “the narrative” – the narrative du jour.
So when you say these stories “are eating at me” you’ve exactly described the process of being devoured by evil.
