Italy: Recovery Less Fragile, But Fixing Public Finances Tough — Audit Court

Economy headed for ‘more qualitative expansion’

(ANSA) — Rome, April 5 — Italy still has a big challenge in terms of sorting out its public finances even though the country’s economic recovery is less fragile than previously, the Audit Court said on Wednesday. “Despite theinitial uncertainty, the performance of the Italian economy seems to have changed direction towards a less fragile, more qualitative expansion,” readthe State auditor’s 2017 report on public finances. It said restoring public finances to health was “harder” for Italy than other European countries. It also stressed, however, that this was “necessary given the high debt level”. Italy’s labour-tax wedge is 10 percentage points over the European Union average, the Audit Court said. The labour-tax wedge is the difference between workers’ take-home pay and the total cost to firms to employ them. The State auditor said that 49% “is deducted for contributions and taxes”. It also called for the tax-to-GDP ratio to be reduced, saying the current situation “does not help the fight against the underground economy and tax evasion”.

Alabama Judge Considers Overturning Law Banning Teacher-Student Sex

An Alabama is considering overturning a law banning sex between teachers and students who are 16- to 18-years-old.

The judge is hearing a case on whether the law, which mandates school employees who have sex with a student younger than 19 become a registered sex offender and serve up to 20 years in prison, is unconstitutional, reports AL.com. The judge remarked at one point that he has “a lot of reading to do” in reviewing written arguments before ruling on the law.

As Our World Falls Apart, The Wolves Give Rise

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence-on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.” -John F. Kennedy, Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on April 27, 1961

I have listened to this speech so many times I should have it memorized. It is the greatest warning a President could have ever given the people of this country and most never heard it or ignored it — not understanding the meaning of the words being expressed.

As I listen to the Senate — Democrats and Republicans — bantering over who thinks they are smarter and how many changes they can make to the rules to get their own way, I am appalled. It doesn’t matter which party it is, they aren’t playing this game for the good of the country, but to show who has the most power…

Most of the ruination of this country has been done through the banks and the main culprits are the Federal Reserve, World Bank, International Bank of Reconstruction and Development, and the International Monetary Fund.

You want to know why Congress no longer works for “we the people”? Because they incorporated the country, the states, the counties, the cities and the villages. Haven’t you ever asked yourself why your government files a “corporation report” every year. You thought that was only for businesses — well they made our government a business.

Former Columbia Based ‘Charity’ Linked to Terrorism Sentenced to Federal Court

A former Columbia-based agency once designated by the U.S. government as a global terrorist organization was sentenced Thursday in federal court.

The Islamic American Relief Agency was ordered to transfer more than $800,000 in assets to a charity that assists farmers and drought victims in east Africa.

The agency was prosecuted for transferring nearly $1.4 million to Iraq in violation of U.S. government sanctions.

The office in Columbia was part of an international organization based in Sudan.

It was closed in 2004 after being identified by the U.S. Treasury Department as a “specially designated global terrorist organization.”

Geller and Spencer: Did the FBI Want Them Dead?

“The Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of the Washington establishment is remarkable by any standard. Former FBI Special Agent John Guandolo noted in October 2011: “What we’re seeing not just inside the White House, but inside the government entities, the national security entities, the State Department — – is a strong push by the Muslim Brotherhood to get their people not just into operational positions, but policy positions — deeper, long term, bureaucratic positions.” €• Robert Spencer, Muslim Brotherhood in America

Before we discuss the jihadi attack at Pamela Geller’s art exhibit in Garland, Texas back in 2015, let’s take a look at some of the FBI’s activities from the recent past.

The question is this…why is the FBI often involved in the murder of American citizens?

Globalists Pushing Cashless Society to Abolish Privacy

In this video, The New American’s foreign correspondent Alex Newman explains why governments, the United Nations, megabanks, and globalists are all waging a war on cash. Their goal is to create what they themselves call a “cashless society.” And this nightmare, which will end your privacy, is being bankrolled with your tax dollars. More than a few Christian scholars have wondered whether Revelation and the prophecies about not being able to buy or sell without the “mark” are coming to pass. Privacy advocates, meanwhile, are sounding the alarm about the end of financial privacy, and its implications. In short, this “cashless society” may be the dream of globalists, governments, and megabanks, but it will be a nightmare for the rest of us.

The March Against Science

by Willis Eschenbach

Of course, this appointment of Bill Nye led to many people pointing and laughing. With all of the distinguished scientists in the country, the idea of picking Bill Nye as the honorary poster boy for the march is hilarious.

But wait, it gets better. In the sadly common Blue-On-Blue violence of identity politics, there’s been a new protest. This protest is not because Bill Nye lacks credibility. Nor is the protest because Bill Nye lacks credentials or cranial horsepower. And the protest is not because Bill Nye lacks support in the scientific community.

Nope.

This protest is because Bill Nye lacks melanin. …

It gets better. The protest is not just because Bill Nye lacks melanin. He’s also guilty of being short of another even more important requirement.

Bill Nye lacks that scientific necessity, the vital XX chromosome. …

Trump Wiped Out $14 Billion in Energy Regulations With the Stroke of a Pen

“Deregulation on this scale… is unseen since the early days of the Reagan Administration”

President Donald Trump targeted $14 billion worth of regulations for review when he signed an executive order to promote energy independence in late March, according to a new report.

“Deregulation on this scale, more than $14 billion in just one presidential directive, is unseen since the early days of the Reagan Administration,” wrote Sam Batkins, the regulatory policy director at the right-leaning American Action Forum.

“In order for the administration’s regulatory budget to operate, bombshell deregulatory actions like this [executive order] are likely necessary to achieve neutral cost growth,” Batkins wrote in a new report.

Business Losses From Terrorism Shifting Away From Property Damage: Aon

Terrorism “linked to” Al Qaeda and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant “remains a critical threat” worldwide, especially in the oil and gas sector, but with a recent trend towards terrorists using vehicles as weapons, the loss to the businesses in the west tend to be business interruption and loss of life rather than property damage, Aon plc suggested Thursday.

“What the last few years has taught us is it’s not all about physical damage these days,” James Gregory, Aon Canada’s regional director for crisis management, said of terrorist attacks.

He made his comments in an interview Thursday after Aon released its Terrorism and Political Violence Map and its Political Risk Map. Both maps were combined this year in one report.

Germany Passes Bill to Fine Facebook, Twitter up to $50m for “Fake News”

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Cabinet agreed on rules that would impose fines of up to 50 million euros (53.4 million dollars) on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms…

Of course, all of this begs the question of exactly how German officials define “fake news” as the lines between what is pure ‘fact’ versus ‘opinion’ often grow very blurred in politics. Moreover, politicians themselves are often the biggest purveyors of “fake news”…so if someone quotes the erroneous comments of a German politician on FaceBook is the social network then liable? All questions that would have seemed silly just a year ago…

[Comment: Globalists seek to eliminate the dissemination of truthful information that would throw a monkey wrench in their plans. Eg: 3 yrs ago, the fake news by mainstream media that Syria used chemical weapons. A globalist plan to ignite a broader war. It was the alternative media that proved it was ISIS factions that did it and the push for broader war collapsed. Truth is the “fake” news that globalists seek to suppress. Anything that exposes their Machiavellian plans for humanity.]

Italy: Doctor Gets 2 Yrs for Treating Tumour With Herbs

GP, homeopath treated fatal melanoma with Hamer ‘method’

(ANSA) — Turin, April 4 — An Italian doctor who treated a tumour patient who later died with herbs and psychology according to the controversial theories of German doctor Rike Geerd Hamer on Tuesday got two years and a half years in jail. Germana Durando, a GP and homeopath, treated a woman with a birthmark on her left shoulder that was diagnosed as a malignant melanoma. The cancer killed the patient.

Durando was convicted of the manslaughter of Marina Lallo, who died at the age of 53 in 2015.

At one point in the treatment, Lallo wrote to Durando saying “you recommended homeopathy and to work on forgiveness, but the tumour’s not getting any better”.

“Marina,” prosecutor Rossella Salvati said, “did not refuse traditionalmedicine. She was convinced to do so by Dr Durando.” Experts described theHamer cure as “quackery”. Turin judges ordered a provisional payment of 10,000 euros to the victim’s daughter, 5,000 euros for her brother and 5,000 euros for her mother. “We often complain about the slowness of justice,” said the family’s lawyer, Marino Careglio. “But here justice was swift: it came two years after the fact. And it worked”.

The doctor’s defence lawyer, Stefano Castrale, stressed that the punishment was lower than what prosecutors asked and that the judges did not order Durando to be disbarred.

Juncker and Henchmen Attack Hungarian Government for Targeting Soros University

Soros EU attack dogs unleashed in response to crackdown

Hungarian MPs have passed a bill placing tough restrictions on foreign universities but the main target is believed to be the CEU and its billionaire financier founder George Soros.

Members of the party, which is led by European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker, have accused Hungary’s ruling Fidesz Party of attacking academic independence and called for the expulsion of its MEPs from the group in retaliation.

Swedish Soccer Fans Skirt Face-Covering Law by Exploiting Islamic Loophole

Football fans taunt pro-Sharia Swedish politicians

Defying a new Swedish law that prohibits full face coverings at public events, such as political rallies and sports matches, keen football (soccer) fans donned Islamic garments at the game instead.

Members of the so-called AIK Ultras, the dedicated fans of Stockholm’s Allmà ¤nna Idrottsklubben (AIK) team, also unfurled a giant banner at the match in Sweden Sunday thanking the law for a religious provision loophole.

Swedish law specifically bans people in “a public place attending a public meeting under the Public Order Act” if there is a disturbance of the peace, or “immediate danger of such a breach” — making full face coverings generally illegal at football games. Those breaking the law can be fined or imprisoned for up to six months.

Yet understanding of particular religious minorities in Sweden means the second paragraph of the face covering law created an exception: “The ban does not apply to covering the face for religious reasons.”

Evidence Calls Western Narrative About Syrian Chemical Attack Into Question

Although Western media immediately accused Bashar al-Assad of participating in a gas attack against his own people, the evidence indicates that the intended target was not immediately in a civilian area and was in fact a location where Syrian White Helmets were on the scene with rebel groups at what observers have claimed was a storage facility for conventional and chemical munitions. Additionally, evidence indicates that rebel groups may have had prior knowledge of the attack and knew that there was a risk of chemical weapons being unleashed. The attack also came in the aftermath of a trip by Senator John McCain to meet with groups known to associate with radical jihadist factions in Syria, at a time when the United States government has been engulfed in a power struggle between different political factions who disagree strongly over what should be appropriate policy in regards to the Syrian civil war.

I. Evidence From Khan Sheikhoun Does Not Support Assertions Of Airborne Chemical Weapons Use

Evidence which has emerged in the aftermath of the attack at Khan Sheikhoun indicates that not only was the nature of the attack misreported by the media, but that certain individuals on the ground in Syria may have had foreknowledge of the attack up to several days before it happened. On April 3rd, 2017, an anti-Assad journalist tweeted that the next day he would be launching a media campaign to cover airstrikes on the Hama countryside, including the use of chemical weapons. It is not clear how the reporter was able to know that chemical weapons would be used an entire day before the attacks occurred.

Tweet from journalist one day before the attack indicating foreknowledge about chemical weapons usage

Observers further noted that on April 1st, 2017, a doctor on the ground in Khan Sheikhoun, Dr. Shajul Islam, had received several shipments of gas masks in the days running up to the chemical incident. The revelations on Twitter fueled speculation that opposition figures were aware of the chemical attack days before it actually happened, contesting the narrative that the Syrian government was responsible. Daily Mail has reported that Dr. Shajul Islam was at one point sought by the British government in connection with the abduction of two journalists in Syria, and security services have stated that Islam and his brother may have had ties to ISIS executioner “Jihadi John.”

Necons Demand Action in Syria, While Serious Questions Regarding the Chemical Attack Remain Unanswered

Trump has changed his mind.

Before we start send sorties into Syria, trying to take out both Russian and Syrian forces, how about we first see evidence proving this was a government sponsored attack?

Thus far, according to the NY Times, this is all we have — this one flimsy attestation by ‘witnesses.’

Witnesses said the gas was delivered by a government airstrike. The attacks raised the possibility that the Syrian government used a banned nerve agent, like sarin, after it agreed in 2013 to eliminate its chemical weapons program.

Fox’s Geraldo ‘Al Capone Punk’d Me from the Grave’ Rivera offered his take, stating the obvious. It made no sense for Assad to use chemical weapons, especially after the US made overtures accepting his rule in the country.

The US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, gave an overly dramatic speech regarding the attacks — standing up and showing pictures of dead children, asking Russia ‘how many children have to die before Russia cares?’

Russian officials have a different account of the events in Idlib. They said Assad attacked an ISIS weapons depot, which had chemical weapons in it.

Can we be sure who is telling the truth? No.

But, thanks to social media, some serious facts have been presented, such as people receiving gas masks two days prior to the attacks and an anti-Assad reporter, writing about a chemical gas attack 24 hours in advance. How can we explain this? Personally, I think we’d be fools to believe anything ISIS or the ‘moderate rebels’ have to say on the matter.

Now That Trump’s ‘Red Line’ Has Been Crossed, Will He Turn Damascus Into a ‘Ruinous Heap’?

Let us pray for peace, and let us hope that cooler heads will prevail

Will a false flag chemical attack in Syria’s Idlib province be the trigger that causes World War 3 to erupt in the Middle East?

In Part I of this series, I discussed how previous chemical attacks that were blamed on the Assad regime actually turned out to be false flag attacks conducted by Syrian rebels that were absolutely desperate to draw the United States into the Syrian civil war on their side. And considering the fact that the Syrian rebels have been consistently losing territory in recent months, they are now more desperate than ever. So even though it didn’t work before, they probably figured that a false flag chemical attack was worth one more try, and so far the Trump administration appears to be buying it hook, line and sinker. Trump has called the attack a “terrible affront to humanity”, and he is placing all of the blame on the shoulders of the Assad regime. But now that Trump has committed the U.S. to take military action in Syria, what is that actually going to look like?

According to the Daily Mail, at this point Trump is not giving any hints as to when or where he will strike Syria…

Back in 2011, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hatched a plan along with Saudi Arabia and Turkey to use the “Arab Spring” as an excuse to try to remove Assad from power. Since 74 percent of the population of Syria is Sunni Muslim, Saudi Arabia and Turkey were very excited about the prospect of dealing Iran a major blow by transforming Syria into a full-fledged Sunni nation. So Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other Arab countries spent billions of dollars supporting and arming the “rebels”, and at first everything was going great. But then Russia, Iran and Hezbollah all intervened, and now the tide of the war has completely turned.

The only way that the original plan can succeed now is for the United States to enter the war, but with Trump as president nobody thought that was going to happen.

But now this latest chemical attack has changed everything, and Trump appears poised to take military action in Syria.

I don’t know if most Americans understand how dangerous such a move could be. The Russians are not going to just sit there while U.S. bombs are dropping and their personnel are being killed. And of course the same thing could be said about Iran and Hezbollah.

Do we really want to risk a potential military confrontation with Russia, Iran and Hezbollah just to make a point in Syria?

[Comment: Trump is foolishly trusting those around him. Trust, but verify. This chemical attack was a globalist planned “rebel” operation designed to get US to save ISIS from defeat at Assad’s hands.]

Soros-Linked Group Behind Chemical Attack in Syria

The White Helmets, an al-Qaeda affiliated group funded by George Soros and the British government, have reportedly staged another chemical weapon attack on civilians in the Syrian city of Khan Shaykhun to lay blame on the Syrian government.

A day prior to the attack, Gulf-based Orient TV announced “Tomorrow we are launching a media campaign to cover the airstrikes on Hama country side including the usage of chemical warfare against civilians.” This shows clear foreknowledge that the rebels were going to stage an attack by Orient TV.

The White Helmets filmed much of the footage being released on the chemical attack. They have also been known to stage “rescue” videos in the past. However, this time it appears children were indeed killed in the making of this “media campaign.”

Several children appear in the videos suffocating from an unknown chemical substance, while others appear to have unexplained head injuries. It is known 250 people were kidnapped by Al-Qaeda last week from the nearby city of Hama, which is the same number as the current body count of wounded and killed civilians.

Toronto Man ‘Shocked and Upset’ by Terrorism Charge

A Toronto man accused of travelling to Turkey to join Daesh made a brief appearance in a downtown court Thursday morning.

Dressed in a light grey sweater and faded blue jeans, Pamir Hakimzadah, 27, said his name and little else during a bail court hearing at Old City Hall, holding his hands together in front of himself and starring at either the floor or wall of the glass-panelled prisoner’s box.

Indonesia, Russia Vow Stronger Cooperation Against Terrorism

Russia’s bestowing of an international police cooperation award to National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian, a former top antiterrorism official, was amplified in meaning given that the event came soon in the aftermath of a fatal terrorist attack in St. Petersburg earlier this week.

The ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday saw Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Y. Trifkovic on Russia’s Strategic Crossroads

In his latest RTRS interview (Bosnian-Serb Republic public TV service), Srdja Trifkovic talks about Russia’s complex political and economic power structure, which is mostly at odds with the image of an authoritarian Kremlin monolith presented in the Western media.

[Video here—Trifkovic segment starts at 6 minutes. Excerpts, verbatim translation from Serbian.]

Q: Professor Trifkovic, you’ve just come back from Moscow where you attended the Economic Forum, but it was also a political forum?

ST: The Moscow Economic Forum is a major annual gathering of economists and experts who advocate a change in the macroeconomic policy of the Russian government. They act from the standpoint of what one may call “patriotic opposition.” They argue that the country’s economy and financial structures are still unduly dominated by the upholders of the Washington Consensus, and by the oligarchs who continue to control the flows of money through their ownership of many private commercial banks.

Q: Are you trying to say that the Russian government is pro-American?

ST: No, but within her economic and financial structures there are officials—like Elvira Nabiullina, head of the Central Bank of Russia—who reject dedollarization, which is advocated by the “patriotic” wing of the government, as embodied in the deputy prime minister in charge of the defense industry . . .

9-Year-Old Girls ‘Physically & Spiritually’ Ready to Marry — Malaysian MP

Under Islamic law, children younger than 16 can get married if the Sharia courts allow it

Girls as young as nine are “physically and spiritually” ready for marriage, a Malaysian MP says, also claiming there’s “nothing wrong” with females marrying their rapists. It comes after Malaysia failed to criminalize child marriage in a recent law.

“They reach puberty at the age of nine or 12. And at that time, their body is already akin to them being 18 years old. So physically and spiritually, it is not a barrier for the girl to marry,” Shabudin Yahaya, a member of the Barisan Nasional Coalition, told Parliament on Tuesday, as quoted by Reuters.

He went on to say there is “nothing wrong” with a rape victim marrying the man who raped her, as doing so would allow her to avoid a “bleak future.”

“Perhaps through marriage they can lead a healthier, better life. And the person who was raped does not necessarily have a bleak future. She will have a husband, at least, and this could serve as a remedy to growing social problems,” he said, as quoted by Malaysian newspaper the Star.

Falling Sea Level: The Critical Factor in 2016 Great Barrier Reef Bleaching!

It is puzzling why the recent 2017 publication in Nature, Global Warming And Recurrent Mass Bleaching Of Corals by Hughes et al. ignored the most critical factor affecting the 2016 severe bleaching along the northern Great Barrier Reef — the regional fall in sea level amplified by El Niño. Instead Hughes 2017 suggested the extensive bleaching was due to increased water temperatures induced by CO2 warming. …

In contrast in Coral Mortality Induced by the 2015—2016 El-Nin?o in Indonesia: The Effect Of Rapid Sea Level Fall by Ampou 2017, Indonesian biologists had reported that a drop in sea level had bleached the upper 15 cm of the reefs before temperatures had reached NOAA’ Coral Reef Watch’s bleaching thresholds. As discussed by Ampou 2017, the drop in sea level had likely been experienced throughout much of the Coral Triangle including the northern Great Barrier Reef (GBR), and then accelerated during the El Niño. They speculated sea level fall also contributed to the bleaching during the 1998 El Niño. Consistent with the effects of sea level fall, other researchers reported bleaching in the GBR was greatest near the surface then declined rapidly with depth. Indeed if falling sea level was the main diver in 2016’s reef mortalities, and this can be tested, then most catastrophic assertions made by Hughes 2017 would be invalid. …

Is the United States About to Bomb North Korea? The White House Says ‘The Clock Has Now Run Out’

I got chills when I saw a CNN report that said that a White House official has just warned that “ the clock has now run out” on North Korea’ s nuclear program and that “ all options are on the table” . That second phrase has been repeatedly used by members of the Trump administration in recent days, and everyone knows what it means. When I wrote that a conflict with North Korea could be “ Trump’ s first war” last month, I was still hoping that cooler heads would prevail and that a military conflict could be avoided. Unfortunately, it appears that a peaceful solution is not in the cards, and that means that the United States may soon start bombing North Korea. And of course if that happens the North Koreans will strike back with whatever they can, and that includes nuclear weapons.

I don’ t know if I have the words to effectively communicate how serious this situation could become. We have gotten to the point where the White House is openly talking of going to war with a nuclear power…

Germans Concerned After 270,000 Syrian Refugees Granted Permission to Bring Family Members

With worries about mass migration having largely faded from Germany’s consciousness after a record surge in 2015, and an angry popular reaction, prompted Angela Merkel to curb the inflow of refugees, there is renewed concern in Germany following a report that up to 270,000 Syrians in Germany have the right to bring in their family members, a “revelation” that could refuel the debate about migration less than six months before a national election. Germany’s Bild cited a government paper showing that a total of 431,376 Syrians applied for asylum in Germany in 2015 and 2016 and said that of those 267,500 are allowed to bring their families to Germany.

As Reuters observes, Germany blessing such a material migration could play into the hands of the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which has lost support in recent months as the refugee issue has receded from the headlines ahead of a Sept. 24 election. Sure enough, senior AfD member Alexander Gauland condemned the figures, saying it was “absolute madness” to allow so many people to bring their families to Germany: “Billions and billions of tax money are being swallowed and the social state is being steered toward breakdown while our eyes are wide open.”

America is Falling From Within

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

America is in moral freefall. The open and blatant lying from the halls of our once great experiment in self-government has exposed a crumbling foundation of a city that once illuminated the world. The light is flickering and darkness hovers over the land. The flood of secularism and its shaky foundation has left our nation groping in the darkness. We have traded wise men for the foolish men and great will be our fall.

America has fallen from within. We have done it to ourselves.

The Founders of this nation, flawed though they were, understood the importance of shared values. All nations are built upon a common set of moral values and for just over 200 years this nation’s foundation was the rock of Christianity. Despite what the anti-moralists may try to convince you, America was formed upon the principle that liberty was the birthright of every citizen but that liberty was anchored to a set of immutable principles. It was those unchanging precepts that secured “the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

But somewhere along the way a soft coup was executed and the rug was pulled out from under our feet and we have been dealing with shifting sand ever since. America was great, a wise man told us, because America was good. But with the removal of the Bible as the cornerstone of our Republic the time-tested values of God’s Holy Commandments were sandblasted off of the walls of our institutions and replaced with the sinking sand of secularism. God’s laws are immutable. The laws of secularism are constantly shifting.

Killer Cold

by Willis Eschenbach

[…]

Here’s their money graph. It shows the number of deaths by the age of the person dying. …

A couple of notes. First, at all ages the deaths from cold are more common than deaths from heat. Second, almost no infants die from excess heat, but some die from excess cold.

SO … if the globe gets slightly warmer, that appears to be a net benefit, as there will be fewer lives lost. This is particularly true since the feared warming is projected to be mostly in the winter, in the night-time, in the extra-tropics.

I would think warmer winter nights would be very popular in say Vladivostok or Anchorage. I wonder if that benefit is included in the calculation of the so-called “social cost of carbon”?

  1. Syria may be Trump’s first BIG mistake. Lobbing missiles into Syria as a reactionary measure against an alleged chemical attack by Assad’s forces does not bode well for his own recognition in assessing the credibility of Deep State sources, its propaganda and possible false flag events.

I hope I am wrong in my assessment of this, but his very quick reaction alerts me to his own naivety on world history and events that have ‘shaped’ world history.

    • I’m disappointed too.Trump has bought the deep state’s misinformation campaign.Sad that he has drunk deep of the kool-aide

    • The chemical attack is almost certainly a false flag. Cui bono? Not Assad.

I fear Trump is being hijacked by the war hawks. War is the health of the state, remember? War has to go on. If it’s not one devil (we equipped) it’s another. War war war so all those Daddy Warbucks can keep the profits rolling in. Why isn’t Trump talking to us? This is nuts.

Ask yourselves: why would the Syrian Army, which is defeating and pushing back ISIS/Al Nusra/Western and Saudi backed “rebels” on all fronts, use chemical weapons on its own civilians the day before an international conference on Syria? The same people, lied to us about Iraq, Libya, now lying about Syria. Damn. Calling the white house, this morning, demanding they provide proof that it was Assad. . Now maybe Anonymous should do a denial of service attack on the white house site. How do we tell him this is not going to be going back to business as usual?!

    • @ nem, mankind is the problem; it proves itself daily (just check the news ). Check world history for the ongoing “cesspool” created by those loving and caring humans.

question: what […] was “GOD” thinking when “HE” created us?

      • You would condemn an entire species for the actions of a rogue few and their enablers?

And you would blame God for all the human misery that those few rogue controllers and their enablers inflict on the world and mankind?

We are all individuals and we were designed that way so as to experience this world individually and not within a collective group think that we have been herded into continually. Being cast as individuals is the quickest way a person may learn and experience what he/she needs to experience in order to fulfill their life on this planet. But most of all, we are here to experience raw human emotion that teaches us how to accept a flesh and blood reality that is part of our spiritual evolution.

God has seen us waver from our path and that is why his Son came here 2000 years ago in an attempt to correct our waywardness, but even His teachings became hijacked by the vested interests determined to keep us all from the TRUTH while enslaving us for their own ends.

We all come here for a purpose – it is up to each of us to determine what our true purpose for being here is, and the road to understanding one’s purpose is through learning, and in that process of learning, to never leave any rock unturned in seeking what you need to know.

But, if you wish to blame anyone, blame yourself for not being spiritually stronger and those who control us, but never lay the blame at the Creator’s feet who gave you life in this world.

  2. Trump is going the way all of US Presidents. His first big mistake was not draining the swamp like he promised but filling it with other creatures. The Americans only replaced one tyranny with another. Rigged system continues and more of Trump’s promises will be broken or severely compromised and he will continued his privileged and palatial lifestyle.

    • It is way too early in this President’s tenure to judge him yet. At least give him a first term before you shower him with brick bats.

  3. The previous allegations of Assad using WMDs/CBWs proved to be dubious, and there is a saying “fools rush in where angels fear to tread” I have a feeling that Trump has just taken the bait and has now been hooked.

Syria was peaceful, and then came Clinton/Obama the Muslim Brotherhood lackeys.

Do we now have to send our sons (and daughters?) to die because of deep state lies?

The first world war and its ensuing carnage happened because 4 eminent Austrian nobles wanted regime change in Serbia, an independent country, they used the assassination of the archduke in Bosnia as an excuse, and blamed it on the Serbs (there was no evidence at the time and even now the evidence is tenuous) and Europe went to war. The four nobles could just look back and say ooops! while the carcasses of the young men of the world rotted on the battlefields.

So send the pols. and their owners to slug it out between themselves and leave our children alone!

  4. For those hoping a President Trump would be an isolationist president, welcome to reality. There are other players and threats other than Islam in the World and this missile chastisement of Assad (whether he was guilty or not) serves wider purposes. Firstly it alerts the unstable North Korean regime, that Trump is not a ditherer like Obama when it comes to the military option. The second player targeted is China. Trump approves the strike while meeting with the Chinese premier. China with its games in the South China Sea will notice what a sea-launched Tomahawk attack can do to an airfield. Third player intended to take notice is Putin and Russia. Tread carefully Vlad.
Would former national security advisor Mike Flynn have recommended a strike on Syria with his claimed coziness to Russia? Quite possibly, his other client Turkey approved of it.

  5. This is 100% anecdotal and hear-say, but I used to work with a naturalized American citizen who’d boasted he’d sponsored twenty relatives, his siblings, their spouses and children, from Chile under “family re-unification” protocols.

Not all tunneling requires using a shovel.

    ‘.

  6. Imho it is a calculated gamble which will pay off. Assad will now know that this is a president who DOES interfere when a red line has been crossed.

    • No, he will know that this president can be manipulated into hitting out with missiles BEFORE ascertaining who actually did the dirty deed. I just called the WH demanding proof that it was Assad. Betting 100 bucks against a potato they have so such proof.

      I am sooooo ANGRY!

  7. “Get on my knees and pray…we don’t get fooled again!”
Man I feel like a schmuck, I voted another puppet into office. We are never going to reverse this decline and the takeover of our government is all but complete.
This is nothing but a welcome distraction by the Trump admin to get eyes off of their failure to complete any major legislation. If they had offered a true repeal of Obamacare as promised then it would have passed due to public sentiment and I doubt we would be talking about bombing Syria right now.
I am pretty confident that the Assad regime is no group of angels, but they are not stupid either, apparently our government thinks we are. Why on earth would they use chems at this stage, while advancing in the battlefield and having been given indications just days before that regime change was no longer the US objective?
From what I have read the last major chemical attack that Obama was hoping to use as a pretext for establishing a no fly zone was committed by rebels assisted by Turkey. Obviously most of us are not in the position to verify facts on the ground, but with the track record that our goverment has in being honest to the American people it is the right thing to question the narrative.

  8. I think that the Norks will take Trump seriously now.

A good move, if anyone wants my opinion.

    • Alex Jones at Infowars has put a strategic spin on that attack, problem is though, this President has gone in and attacked a sovereign nation’s infrastructure killing six in the process without any hard evidence, so far, of anyone but the rebels crossing that red line.

To my way of thinking that is a false flag event that has duped this President.

So what else will they tease him with?

  11. The Saker, a very opinionated but very informative blogger who is a Russian Orthodox by upbringing, but I think lives in Florida, has done a podcast yesterday on Islam. Troubling to listen to, and I just found he censored two small comments of mine — one simply telling one ardent Muslim who was proselytizing towards me, that I don’t consider it honest, posting all the nice bits out of the Koran, and not the nasty bits, and that I would love to hear from him when he is ready to deal with both.

The other censored piece was short too, and since the other commenter waxed eloquent about how Muslims were a bulwark against the nazis, I brought up the infamous Mufti of Jerusalem, and asked him if it’s true that there are many people among Muslims that still admire Hitler. Poof. Not allowed. My mild mannered posts could not be allowed, while the Serbs and whoever well threatening the worst on the other protagonists. The mod eventually stepped in, but did not delete.

To add to the creepiness, apparently the Saker was recently hosted by some sheik on Trinidad and Tobago, in style…. This is how they work behind the scenes… The Saker was required to keep his trip secret while it was happening.
