Climate Change Expert Sentenced to 32 Months for Fraud, Says Lying Was a ‘Rush’
The EPA’s highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison Wednesday for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job.
John C. Beale’s crimes were “inexplicable” and “unbelievably egregious,” said Judge Ellen Huvelle in imposing the sentence in a Washington. D.C. federal court. Beale has also agreed to pay $1.3 million in restitution and forfeiture to the government.
Beale said he was ashamed of his lies about working for the CIA, a ruse that, according to court records, began in 2000 and continued until early this year.

The day after my Aunt’s passing, I discovered she’d written me a lovely note on the front page of the Shakespeare collection she’d given me. “I know how important the written word is to you,” it read, “this then is my gift to you.”

Deeply moved, I opened my laptop and found my way over to her Facebook page. I thought it would be comforting to see pictures of her, and to read some of her witty posts, and to imagine her speaking them in her brassy, brazen, Baltimore screech. At the top of her Facebook feed was a video posted by my cousin showing two elephants playing in water. (My aunt loved elephants. She had thousands of pieces of elephant kitsch all over her house.) Below that were some tributes from former students, as well as the obituary posted by her sister-in-law.
I scrolled back up. According to Facebook, Aunt Jackie studied English Education at Frostburg State University, was a former English Department Head for Baltimore City schools, and lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lives? I thought.
She doesn’t live anywhere. She’s gone.
But if you happened to come across her profile on Facebook and didn’t scroll down to the obituary, then you wouldn’t know that.
She would still be, in some sense, alive. She would be … here. On Facebook.

Here’s Where You Absolutely Don’t Want to be “When it All Turns Ugly”
OK, this is actually pretty obvious — but it is worth pointing out that the “archipelago” of islands across the vast expanse of the United States that carried the vote for Hillary Clinton during the election — also happens to be a ring of the liberal cities that:
a) have exploded with crime, riots and unrest
b) have provided sanctuary for millions of illegal immigrants that have destabilized the country
c) are going bankrupt and will be unable to fulfill pension obligations, or pay their share of social security, welfare, etc.
d) have been foremost in advocating gun control, and ensuring that only criminals and police have guns, while 2nd Amendment arm-bearing citizen have flocked to the rural areas where their rights are not generally restricted
e) will be the first places to be become unstable during any major crisis — as soon as grocery store shelves go empty. Martial law will be the only way to maintain stability, and that will come at a further price to liberty.
f) will be the first place to line up for FEMA camps and beg for food, shelter and rations, again, at a further price to liberty
Of course, there are many more items that could be added to the list, but it gets tedious, and I think everyone gets the point.

Media Hysteria Over Irrelevant Fake Websites Masks More Sinister Agenda
Public trust in the establishment media has tumbled to historic lows, to about what one would expect of a survey of Smurfs regarding evil Gargamel.
There are two transparent aims behind the establishment Big Media’s hysterical alarm over “fake news”: 1) to delegitimize Trump’s election and undermine his presidency; and 2) to demonize conservative and anti-globalist media websites as a precursor to outright censorship…
For the past several weeks, NBC, CNN, the New York Times, et al, have run with the “fake news” meme, puffing breathless reports about the supposed impact that clever teenagers in Macedonia (such as “Dmitri” in the town of Veles) and a 52-year-old, pro-Putin, “far right” activist in Britain (James Dowson) had on stealing the election from Clinton and delivering it to Trump by posting online fabricated stories that went viral on Facebook. This is a parallel track that the pro-Clinton media have been attempting to build next to the unsubstantiated claim that Putin’s intel guys (KGB/FSB/SVR) hacked the e-mails and computers of Team Clinton and the Democratic National Committee in order to put Trump in the White House. Both of these tracks are desperate attempts aimed at delegitimizing and de-electing Donald Trump, running in tandem with efforts (by the same anti-Trump media) to subvert and delegitimize the Electoral College and promote the theme that the election was stolen from Clinton, since she (allegedly) won the popular vote.
However, it quickly became apparent that the “fake news” excuse being offered for the Clinton loss/Trump win was itself fake news perpetrated by the master crafters of fake news: the Big Media, whose surefire candidate had spectacularly lost. Yes, there actually are phony “news” websites in Macedonia and elsewhere run by young entrepreneurs who rake in cash by cranking out click-bait stories with outrageous titles and sham content. And, yes, some of them are tilted in favor of Putin and/or Trump. But did they have any kind of measurable (let alone decisive) impact on the election? The “fake news” alarmists have provided no evidence to justify these fears. But that has not deterred the New York Times, Washington Post, and the rest of the fake news chorus line from their pathetic attempt to turn the “fake news” story into a real news campaign.
The alarmists are also alarmed that so few Americans are responding to their “fake news” alarm. This rejection is reinforcing the verdict of multiple recent polls showing that public trust in the establishment media has tumbled to historic lows, to about what one would expect of a survey of Smurfs regarding evil Gargamel. The media elites are panicking because too many viewers and readers have figured out that the globalist “prestige press” have been packaging and foisting fake news for decades — and they have been repudiating and abandoning the controlled media in droves.

Obama Makes One Last Ditch Effort to Enact United Nations Anti-Gun Treaty
Last week, Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah sent the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty tot he US Senate to be ratified. It’s sure to be dead on arrival because of the Senate’s stand against the ATT, but he is just demonstrating his utter contempt for America, the Constitution and the Second Amendment.
Obama has been frustrated at every turn when it comes to his attacks on the Second Amendment, and when he has been beat back, he throws a temper tantrum like a little child.
While he said he would focus this last year on pushing more gun confiscation measures, he has been kept in check.
In a recent CNN interview, Obama admitted that his failure to enact gun control was the “one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated.” As he should be frustrated.
Gun Owners of America Communications Director Erich Pratt is calling on the Trump administration to “unsign” the ATT.
Pratt laments, “I’m sure that you’re already aware that the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) would attack the Second Amendment in many ways. Most notably, it would REQUIRE America to set up a national gun registry. If New York City is any indicator, confiscation would soon follow.”
I agree with that assessment.
Secretary of State John “Lurch” Kerry lied to the American people about the ATT having a national gun registry, something that is blatantly unconstitutional.
Kerry has insisted that this treaty is about “keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors.”
“This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes,” Kerry added. “This is about keeping Americans safe and keeping America strong. And this is about promoting international peace and global security.”
Ask yourself this question, “Do you believe John Kerry?” Furthermore, do you believe Barack Obama after all his lies? How about Hillary Clinton?
If you are among those who want to support the Obama administration at every turn, I ask you, if this is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors, why has the Obama administration funneled money and weapons to our enemies abroad? Bank of Canada Lays Out in YouTube Clip How the Economy Could Tank
As MacLean’s Jason Kirby points out, the Bank has taken to YouTube to warn Canadians about the dangers of too much debt and unrealistic house price expectations. He wonders, however, whether anyone will listen as one after another real estate bubble form in Canada, a nation whose household debt ratio has never been higher.
As BMO pointed out, when the latest household debt ratio data was released, the upward trend in household debt goes back for the 26 years for which it has records and is showing no signs of slowing down.
“While it looks as though the Vancouver housing market is cooling after the foreign buyers’tax was implemented, the Toronto market remains very strong, and others are showing signs of improving as well,” said BMO senior economist Benjamin Reitzes.

British Woman, 74, Missing After ‘Falling Overboard’ During Caribbean Cruise on Queen Mary 2 Liner
The search for a British woman thought to have fallen overboard during a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 ocean liner has been called off.
The 74-year-old woman was on a tour of the Caribbean which left New York on Thursday.
The cruise ship, the flagship ocean liner of the Cunard company, had turned back to help look for her.
A spokeswoman for the company said: ‘It is with sadness we can confirm that after a comprehensive search, working with all relevant authorities, Queen Mary 2 has halted the search for a missing guest, presumed overboard.

German Politician Prevented Police Sharing Image of Christmas Market Attacker ‘To Prevent Racism’
Green Party politician Steffen cited “privacy concerns” when he initially prevented law enforcers from releasing pictures of Anis Amri.
However, it has been claimed by members of the judiciary and the police that Steffen, who is the head of the judicial authority in Hamburg, denied the release of images of Amri because he was concerned it would incite racial hatred.
It is alleged that he only released images after a 12-hour delay following a call from German newspaper Bild.
Joachim Lenders, Hamburg’s chief of police, told Bild:
“It is incomprehensible to throw such a spanner in the works of investigators. Steffen is incompetent.”…
CDU judiciary spokesman Richard Seelmaeker called for a special meeting of the Justice Committee, stressing: “Anis Amri allegedly murdered twelve people, but instead of using all means necessary to search for him, Hamburg’s green justice senator was more concerned about the state of comments in a Facebook post — which hindered our police.”

A Woolworth’s store in Germany scrapped Christmas decorations telling customers that the shop “is now Muslim”. Europe is already mutilating her own traditions “to avoid offending Muslims”. Authorities in the southern Spanish city recently dealt a blow to the Catholic Church’s claim of ownership of the cathedral. Now Islamists want it back. UK: ‘ISIS Attempted Kidnap’ Outside RAF Base Was Bungled Mugging by Opportunist Thieves
The attempted kidnap of an RAF serviceman outside an airbase was a bungled mugging by opportunist thieves, police believe.
A huge manhunt was launched involving 70 police, including a counter terrorism squad from Scotland Yard, after an airman was attacked at knifepoint while out jogging near RAF Marham in July.
The two suspects of Middle Eastern appearance were initially suspected to be jihadis plotting a Lee Rigby-style attack.
But five months on, police believe the offenders were local criminals who may have attempted to snatch the serviceman’s smartphone after seeing him jogging listening to music with his earphones on.
Yesterday detectives said the ‘net is closing in’ on the pair who are thought to targeted him by chance as they drove past and spotted he had an expensive phone…
The victim, who is married and in his late 20s, had gone for a run outside the military base around 3.30pm when a stocky bearded man leapt out at him from a parked car.
He told police the man grabbed his wrist and tried to drag him towards a dark-coloured people carrier.
His assailant shouted something, but he did not hear what was said as he had earphones in.
The victim fought back and head-butted him, knocking him to the ground as a second man came running towards him with a combat-style knife with a three-inch blade.
But he managed to flee to raise the alarm.

World famous York Minster’s bells stayed silent on Christmas Day for the first time since 1361 when the tradition began after 30 bell-ringers were controversially sacked by church managers.
It is thought to be the first time they have not rung on December 25 since 1361.
In October, all 30 volunteer bell ringers were told they were no longer needed by church managers, axed from their roles and told to reapply.
It was then revealed that the controversy was caused by the Minster’s refusal to reinstate a suspended member who had an interim sexual risk order removed after police investigation did not lead to prosecution.
This member has not been named by the Chapter but is understood to be David Potter, a leading light of the campanology world, who was given an MBE for his services to bell-ringing and has never been convicted of any offences.
Mr Potter was the subject of a police investigation in 1999 which was reviewed again in 2014 but he was never charged.
The Chapter of York Minster ordered a detailed risk assessment of Mr Potter’s activities and decided he ‘presented an ongoing risk and that the potential severity of the risk meant they could not be reinstated’.
It said the bell ringers refused to accept this decision and so had to be disbanded.

Nigel Farage has criticised the Archbishop of Canterbury after he said that the mood of uncertainty and division in Britain and around the world at the end of 2016 shows that “our values are in the wrong place”.
Mr Farage, the former Ukip leader, told people to “ignore all the negative messages” from the Most Rev Justin Welby, who used his Christmas Day Eucharist at Canterbury Cathedral to say that the events of the last year have ushered in “a different kind of world” which is more uncertain and “feels more awash with fear and division”.

UK: London to Get Manned Checkpoints for First Time in 24 Years Amid MI5 Security Crack Down
The proposals are intended to protect London’s finance district and its skyscrapers from a terrorist attack.
MI5 and counter-terrorism police have proposed to install the manned checkpoints, rising street bollards and crash-proof barricades.
The last time manned checkpoints were used was in 1992 following the IRA’s bombing of Baltic Exchange.

UK: Singer George Michael Dead at 53
In a year that has claimed the lives of some of the most prolific and visible musical talents of more than one generation, including Prince and David Bowie, it is morbidly fitting that the man who gave us “Last Christmas”, George Michael, passed away on Christmas Day, “peacefully at home” according to his publicist.
As the BBC first reported, the star, who launched his career with Wham in the 1980s and later continued his success as a solo performer, is said to have “passed away peacefully at home”.
Thames Valley Police said South Central Ambulance Service attended a property in Goring in Oxfordshire at 13:42 GMT. Police say there were no suspicious circumstances.
The cause of death has not been revealed.
Michael, who was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in north London, sold more than 100m albums throughout a career spanning almost four decades.

Arutz Sheva reporter threatened as Arabs evicted from Church
Police on Sunday evicted the Arabs who had vandalized and taken over the “Living Bread Church” in Jerusalem near the Old City. The Arutz Sheva reporter who documented the event was threatened by the Arabs.
Last week, Arutz Sheva reporter Eliran Aharon accompanied Jerusalem City Council member Aryeh King on his visit to the Living Bread Church. The church had been destroyed by a gang of Arabs last month. The reporter was threatened by the gang then as well.
Today, councilman King said: “When I was called to investigate the building taken over by Muslims last week, I said then that I would take them off the property.”
“I declared then that Israeli law needs to be enforced on the Muslim lawbreakers, and I thank the Jerusalem Police and the Israeli government, who listened and carefully examined the legal situation. Now, in broad daylight, the Jerusalem police threw out the Arab invaders and restored law and order. As a member of the City Council I promised that I would act to apply the sovereignty and law in all Jerusalem neighborhoods, and I’m very glad that this happened today,” he added.
King stressed, “It is time that Muslims in the city learn not to mess with me and with Israeli law. They have to learn that in the capital of Israel, the law is Israeli law not the laws of the desert and of the Bedouin tribes.”

Free Ponnam Shankar From Saudi Jail to Save Him From Sharia Execution

His only crime was to post an FB post in which he showed Lord Shiva superimposed over picture of Islamic holy Kaba. He posted the pic on November 12 as alleged and was arrested by the shariah police on November 21, under the charge of blasphemy after thorough investigations by the local agencies.
As per available reports, Shankar studied up to sixth class and was migrated to Gulf nations to eke out a living with a job of gardener.
When Shankar’s mother and brother in India approached Gulf Returnees Welfare Society president “Chand Pasha” for assistance in the matter, he advised them to approach the Collector and added that “Shankar had committed serious crime as per Gulf Nation’s laws and he would be punished severely”.
As per Saudi Shariah law Ponnam Shankar, a Hindu, is obviously treated as a ‘kaffir’ and severe punishment of ‘blasphemy’ is meant for ‘public execution (beheading)’ in any black Friday as the norms of the state.+ (WARNING: Graphic Video inside).
Though the family members of Shankar approached the local authority in Telangana for the rescue of the victim from Saudi jail, there is no development in any part in Telangana Govt of the Union Govt of India so far. The news of this incident was published in The Hindu in its web edition in 22 Dec+ and print edition in day next.
The news is leading to a beheading of Shankar in public without any interference of Govt of India as obvious.

Kuwait: Four Filipinas Arrested With 35 KG Pork
Personnel from Criminal Evidences Department have arrested four Filipinas for possessing 35 kilos of pork, reports Al-Rai daily.
During interrogation they admitted to trading in the meat and said they planned to sell it during the New Year celebration. The arrest came following a tip-off from a police agent that the Filipinas were selling pork in Mahboula.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities. Police are looking for the US citizen.

For years now, reality has been completely contorted to fit the “mirror, mirror, whose the most beautiful empire of all” narrative that the U.S. wishes to uphold… truth has been a complete casualty, and every official channel has warped good strategy, moral high ground and common sense to create war death, destruction and chaos, and tempt Americans and their allies into ever more war and conflict.
And now, as the rebels are being driven out of Aleppo altogether, CNN and other mainstream U.S. news outlets have been featuring reports from embedded individuals who have all been broadcasting their “final reports,” announcing that they death is imminent, and regurgitating talking points about how they are being exterminated, systematically killed, etc.
The only problem is… these reporters are still alive. And they keep reporting, dramatizing, and even glamorizing terrorists suicide bombers.
This is truly too much to believe… this is perhaps the most blatant and forceful propaganda ever seen in warfare. The 21st Century digital media stream is being used in ways never before attempted in live format.

Russian Military Plane Crashes With 92 on Board in the Black Sea
A Syrian-bound Russian military plane carrying 92 people including Red Army Choir members has crashed in the Black Sea moments after taking off from Sochi.
A singer in the Red Army Choir declared dead in the Sochi air disaster is alive as his passport was out of date and he was forbidden to fly.
The Tu-154 model plane, which belonged to the Russian defence ministry, crashed two minutes after leaving the southern city of Adler at 5.40am (2.40am GMT). There were no survivors.
The military plane was carrying soldiers, reporters and 64 members of the famed Alexandrov military music ensemble who were to perform for Russian troops in Syria as part of New Year celebrations.
Roman Valutov, 29, was in the list of the aircraft passengers, but did not board the doomed flight as his passport expired in July.
He said: ‘I was going through immigration and the girl there said: ‘Are you joking? Your passport expired back in July.’
‘I hadn’t realised. She told me to wait. I stood there worrying if I’d be allowed to fly, and in a few minutes I was told: ‘You’re not going anywhere.’
‘I was nervous about the mistake over my passport, but I went home.
‘I was there at 3.30 am and afterwards people start calling me, asking if I was alive. I checked and found myself in the list of the dead…
The cause of the Christmas Day crash wasn’t immediately known, but some experts pointed at a terror attack as a possibility — a scenario rejected by Russian officials.
Viktor Ozerov, head of the defence affairs committee at the upper house of Russian parliament, said he ‘totally excluded’ terrorism as a possible cause of the crash because the plane was operated by the military.
However, some experts contested Ozerov’s claim, saying the crew’s failure to report a malfunction pointed at a possible terror attack.

This report deeply concerns me, and if I was a European Pig farmer I would be greatly worried. As muslim migrants spread the use of pig meat will be challenged increasingly. Muslims are offended by restaurants and places that sell and cook pork and other pig meat products along side meats like beef and lamb. A utensil that has touched pork cannot be used to serve beef to a muslim. Such irrational madness will force restaurants and canteens to ban pork, ham and bacon from the menu. We could see the demise of a whole industry. And then the spectre of bacon rashes and pork sausages being hawked by doubtful men in dark alleys is upon us.
