The nephew of the Berlin truck mujahid, Anis Amri, has been arrested in Tunisia for being part of a terror cell, and for planning to join other ISIS jihadists in Europe. His arrest was one of four connected with the late Mr. Amri, who died early yesterday morning in a shootout with Italian police.
In other news, officials at an asylum home for unaccompanied “minors” in the German town of Freising have sounded the alarm after they discovered several of their young charges watching ISIS propaganda videos.

Boulder Makes Shechem a Sister City
The City Council in Boulder, Colorado, voted to make the city of Shechem (Nablus) its eighth international sister city.
Its 7-2 vote last week came three years after a council decision against entering into a formal relationship with Shechem and years of heated debate over the issue. The council identified Shechem as being in “Palestine.”
The Colorado Jewish Community Relations Council in a statement issued Tuesday said it was “deeply disappointed” with the Dec. 13 decision.
“While, on the surface, there is nothing wrong with creating a relationship with any city anywhere in the world, the fact that Nablus is inextricably linked with anti-Israel activism cannot be ignored,” the JCRC said. “Appropriately, the City Council’s approval was made with an assurance that both anti-Semitism and Islamophobia would not be tolerated in Boulder.”
Two-thirds of the council members were not in office the last time the issue was introduced.[…]

California Man Fights DUI Charge for Driving Under Influence of Caffeine
Caffeine may be the “nootropic” brain drug of choice in Silicon Valley, but an hour’s drive north in Solano County, California, the stimulant could get you charged with driving under the influence.
That is according to defense attorney Stacey Barrett, speaking on behalf of her client, Joseph Schwab.
After being pulled over on 5 August 2015, Schwab was charged by the Solano County district attorney with misdemeanor driving under the influence of a drug.
Almost 18 months later, Schwab is preparing to go to trial. The only evidence the DA has provided of his intoxication is a blood test showing the presence of caffeine.
Shcwab was driving home from work when he was pulled over by an agent from the California department of alcoholic beverage control, who was driving an unmarked vehicle. The agent said Schwab had cut her off and was driving erratically.
The 36-year-old union glazier was given a breathalyzer test which showed a 0.00% blood alcohol level, his attorney said. He was booked into county jail and had his blood drawn, but the resulting toxicology report came back negative for benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, THC, carisoprodol (a muscle relaxant), methamphetamine/MDMA, oxycodone, and zolpidem.
The sample was screened a second time by a laboratory in Pennsylvania, according to documents provided to the Guardian, where the sole positive result was for caffeine — a substance likely coursing through the veins of many drivers on the road at any given time.
“I’ve never seen this before,” said Barrett. “I’ve never even heard of it.”
Barrett has filed a motion for the case to be dismissed because the charges were not brought until June 2016 — nearly 10 months after incident. If that motion is denied, Schwab will take his case to a jury on 11 January.
Sharon Henry, chief deputy district attorney for Solano County, said in a statement that her office was “conducting further investigation in this matter”…

Obama Quietly Signs the ‘Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act’ Into Law
Just like that, the US Ministry of Truth is officially born
[W]hile the passage of the NDAA — and the funding of the US military — was hardly a surprise, the biggest news is what was buried deep inside the provisions of the Defense Authortization Act.
Recall that as we reported in early June, “a bill to implement the U.S.’ very own de facto Ministry of Truth had been quietly introduced in Congress. As with any legislation attempting to dodge the public spotlight the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016 marks a further curtailment of press freedom and another avenue to stultify avenues of accurate information. Introduced by Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Ted Lieu, H.R. 5181 seeks a “whole-government approach without the bureaucratic restrictions” to counter “foreign disinformation and manipulation,” which they believe threaten the world’s “security and stability.”
Also called the Countering Information Warfare Act of 2016 (S. 2692), when introduced in March by Sen. Rob Portman, the legislation represents a dramatic return to Cold War-era government propaganda battles. “These countries spend vast sums of money on advanced broadcast and digital media capabilities, targeted campaigns, funding of foreign political movements, and other efforts to influence key audiences and populations,” Portman explained, adding that while the U.S. spends a relatively small amount on its Voice of America, the Kremlin provides enormous funding for its news organization, RT.
“Surprisingly,” Portman continued, “there is currently no single U.S. governmental agency or department charged with the national level development, integration and synchronization of whole-of-government strategies to counter foreign propaganda and disinformation.”
Long before the “fake news” meme became a daily topic of extensive conversation on such discredited mainstream portals as CNN and WaPo, H.R. 5181 would task the Secretary of State with coordinating the Secretary of Defense, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Broadcasting Board of Governors to “establish a Center for Information Analysis and Response,” which will pinpoint sources of disinformation, analyze data, and — in true dystopic manner — ‘develop and disseminate’ “fact-based narratives” to counter effrontery propaganda.
In short, long before “fake news” became a major media topic, the US government was already planning its legally-backed crackdown on anything it would eventually label “fake news.”

UFC Fighter-Turned-Cop Fired for Reporting Fellow Cop for Rape
UFC fighter turned police officer Sean Gannon has been fired and was asked to turn in his gun and badge after he blew the whistle on a dirty cop and turned him in to the FBI.
Gannon conducted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit recently, where he stated,
“Hello, I’m UFC Vet Sean Gannon, the only guy to ever defeat Kimbo (RIP) bareknuckle. AMA. Actually ask me anything for the next 17 hours because after turning in a dirty cop to the FBI, I’ve been ordered to turn in my badge and gun at 7:00pm, and I’ll likely be ordered to not discuss my case further.”
Gannon then linked to a page on mixmartialarts.com where the situation was already explained more in depth.
Gannon says that Sgt. Detective Trent Holland was assigned to a gruesome murder case that took place in Boston, and instead of doing his job, he framed innocent black teens and fabricated evidence. Gannon also says that Holland is guilty of at least one case of sexual assault and that the department helped him cover it up. He had reportedly taken evidence of both of these transgressions to the FBI, and was quickly suspended and then fired as a result.
Speaking in an interview with the site, Gannon said that “He was an epic piece of s***. If those words aren’t appropriate for him, they don’t belong in the English language. I’ll take my suspension and wear it as a badge of honor. Besides, after the things he’s done, and the things they covered up for him…they haven’t got the STONES to try and suspend me for that.
He f***ed everything up. Instead of finding the bad guy, he invented one. He took three innocent black kids and threatened them with bogus 20-year cases if they didn’t help him fabricate a phony warrant for his fake murder suspect. Trent Holland was a little man, small in stature and spirit. He had a Napoleonic complex, and desperately wanted to be on even footing with better men than himself. To do this, he didn’t care what innocent lives he trampled, as long as he got his face on camera.”
Coincidentally, it was Holland’s desire to get his face on camera that resulted in an old rape accusation surfacing.
“He just had to get his face on camera. He just couldn’t get enough. And one day, a young woman watching TV said ‘That’s him! That’s the man that raped me!’ he had skated all those years, but finally his lust for the camera did him in. It was a cold case, 14 years ago, and she lived in Cape Cod, she would have never seen him again if he didn’t have to be on camera all the time. One of his detectives once said, ‘He was a Lieutenant Detective,’ all he had to do was stay in the office and make sure his men had the resources they needed to do the job. But he just couldn’t do that. There is one piece of DNA that doesn’t go away. She couldn’t give up the baby.”
Gannon went on to say that since the girl was a child at the time, there is absolutely no way that the sexual encounter could have been consensual. He also said that the police department intentionally drug their feet on the investigation so the statute of limitations would pass.
“They let him retire! With his pension! They let him retire without having to register as a Sex Offender, so nobody was ever warned there was a predator among their children! The media dropped the ball too, the only thing you’ll find on it is that one small article in that local paper in that link I sent you. Who knows how many children he has victimized since then? Last I heard, he was working as a Driver’s Ed instructor! What could possibly go wrong? How could their parents not be warned? That’s why I had to speak out. And by the way, those scumbags that did the cover up are the same scumbags that did Sean so I did it out of loyalty too,” Gannon said.
The rest of the interview was extremely insightful, showing first hand the experience of a whistleblower cop. He even suggested that “the sociopaths are in charge.”

Why the Education Establishment Hates Cursive
Modern educators are hostile to teaching cursive — to such a degree that you should immediately suspect that they are up to something…
When you read such swaggering attacks on cursive, you might assume that the question is settled. The old geezer is dead, so take him off life support. You rarely see thoughtful praise of cursive. Even people who are sentimentally inclined to support cursive can’t think of many reasons to do so.
I propose a higher truth: the Education Establishment is always a reliable guide to what is good. If our socialist professors rail against X, you know that X is educational gold. Here are eight reasons why cursive is valuable and we should fight to keep it in the classroom:
1) LEARN TO READ FASTER. The main thing is that learning cursive accelerates learning to read. If it did nothing else, this alone would still make it a huge asset. Cursive obviously makes a child more aware of letter forms and how words are spelled. Don Potter, the phonics guru, states: “Any attempt to educate American children that neglects the direct development of fluent handwriting is doomed to fail. The little dribble of handwriting done with the typical phonics programs is FAR below optimal.”
2) HIGHER I.Q. Reading itself has unexpected benefits. Namely, it makes you smarter. Some researchers speculate that the brain rewires itself to become better at reading. K-12 is full of inferior methods that let children remain poor readers for years. Their I.Q.s will not advance; their academic skills will not improve. In contrast, cursive accelerates reading, which will accelerate everything else.

Wise Crash Victim Was on Christmas Trip to Visit Family in NC
A Christmas trip ended tragically Friday when a Missouri woman died in a crash in Southwest Virginia.
Rebecca W. Starling, 32, of St. Charles, Missouri, was passing through the town of Coeburn in Wise County on Friday when her vehicle was struck head-on along Route 58. The Virginia State Police said Starling died at the scene of the crash and her children, ages 2 and 5, were also injured.
The children’s conditions were not available Saturday, but they received non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.
Wise County Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp said the mother and her two children were traveling through the area from Missouri for the holidays. They were headed to North Carolina to visit family. They have no family in Southwest Virginia, he added.
Another person, Samantha R. Dennis, 36, of Coeburn, will spend Christmas in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield. Slemp said the woman has been charged with felony murder and felony elude.
Dennis was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Route 58 when it abruptly stopped in the middle of the highway as it came upon a DUI checkpoint, State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said. Officers with the Coeburn Police Department and Wise County Sheriff’s Office were conducting the checkpoint.
The Chevrolet made an abrupt U-turn and began driving west in the eastbound lane travel lane, Geller said. The westbound Chevrolet then struck head-on an eastbound 2007 Dodge Magnum, driven by Starling.
A passenger in Dennis’s vehicle, Mallory Tomko, 29, of Coeburn, was flown to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Dennis was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for injuries and released. She was then taken to the jail in Duffield, where she is being held without bond. Dennis, who has a criminal record in Wise County General District Court on charges of bad checks and contempt of court, is expected to be arraigned next week…

Fake News: Germany to Set Up ‘Ministry of Truth’ Ahead of 2017 Elections
Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière has expressed concern over what the government deems to be “fake news” ahead of the federal election next year. The ministry has made what some may consider to be a Orwellian proposal to counter the issues.
A new arm of the ministry will be created to defend against fake news, with one member of the ministry saying the defence centre against disinformation “should be negotiated very quickly,” Der Spiegel reports.
According to the Interior Ministry, the rise of fake news could directly influence the federal election and some even claim the presidential election in the U.S. had been heavily influenced by the spread of rumours on social media platforms. “The acceptance of a post-fact age would be equivalent to a political capitulation,” the ministry officials said.

NICE, France — Sébastien Faustini’s decision to skip the firework display at the beach not only potentially saved his life — it steered his politics toward the far right.
The soft-spoken 18-year-old stayed home with his cousin and watched the Bastille Day display on TV, instead of heading to the Nice promenade as they’d planned on July 14.
A truck was driven into the crowd that night, killing 86 people.
“We could have been there,” said Faustini, who is now forced to pass by the scene of attack daily on his way to university. “Every day that hits me.”

Frexit: Le Pen Promises to Take France Out of EU & NATO
French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen said that NATO exists only ‘to serve Washington’s objectives’, and that she planned to hold a Brexit-style referendum, in an interview with a Greek newspaper.

“Islam is not the problem,” proclaims the Left. And if you say otherwise, you’re a “racist,” even though “Muslim” is not a race. Yet a fact remains: virtually all the world’s terrorists today claim Islamic motivations. So if Islam (belief) is not the problem, are we then left with a genetic explanation for this violence? Is there something inherent in the groups generally embracing Islam — Arabs, Persians, Indonesians, Punjabis, etc. — that would account for it? Consider: When analyzing WWII and Germany, few claim the problem was Germans, but Nazism. When looking at 1917 Russia, we don’t say the problem was Russians, but Marxism. So fill in the blank: when evaluating the Muslim world and its violence, do we assume the problem is the people or _____?
Then there are other explanations for Muslim violence, all of which amount to Islamsplainin’. Poverty is one, but the Muslim world is not uniquely poor. There are many millions of poor Catholics in South America, Africa and elsewhere; and hundreds of millions of poor Hindus in India. Yet they aren’t committing terrorist acts. And Osama bin Laden was worth $125 million.

Man Dressed as ISIS Fighter Tests German Border Controls
A DANISH citizen claims to have shown how “pathetic” the security is between the German and Danish border.
The man, dressed as an Isis fighter with a fake gun and the terror network’s flag, claims in a video to have crossed the border several times.
In his several alleged crossings back and forth between the two countries, not once is he stopped or questioned by any authorities.

NATO Auditor General Found Dead in Belgium
NATO Auditor General was found dead in Belgium. The body of Yves Chandelon was found in the city of Andenne, in 140 kilometers from the place of his work and 100 km from Lens where he lived.
According to local mass media, the auditor committed suicide. He was found with shot in the head. However, the family doesn’t believe in the suicide version, Life reported.
NATO Auditor General Yves Chandelon, in particular, dealt with counteraction against terrorism financing issues. Shortly before death he reported he was receiving strange calls.

A masked man parading an ISIS flag has filmed himself walking straight across the German border as he taunts officials over the non-existent security checks.
The uploader, calling himself Vlad Tapes, said he published the video ‘to show how pathetic the border is’ between the two countries.

Welfare Jihad: Dozens of Danish ISIS Fighters Received State Unemployment Benefits
Thirty-four alleged jihadists received cash benefits from municipal authorities, and two others from private but heavily state-subsidized funds. The newspaper obtained the figures from the Danish Employment Ministry through a freedom of information request.
The municipalities and the private funds demanded a repayment of the improperly distributed benefits from the 29 of the alleged jihadists. The seven others have presumably been killed in action. It remains unclear, exactly how the organizations expect to get the money from jihadists back, who in total have received a hefty sum of 672,000 kroner (around $77,300).

A FILMMAKER who was attacked by a gang of migrants in a “no-go” area in a Swedish city has spoken out about the ordeal.
US documentary maker Ami Horowitz travelled to Stockholm to explore how the Swedish capital had changed as a result of the European migrant crisis.
A sound recording captured the dramatic moment when he was allegedly the victim of an “unprovoked attack” after entering the Husby area — a part of the city the police have branded as “no-go”.

Germany: Huge Blaze Tears Through Refugee Centre Destroying 28 Residential Conatiners
The blaze ripped through the Bergedorf district at 5.57pm on Friday (4.57pm local time), with the local fire department receiving emergency calls claiming “human life was in danger”.
Huge flames engulfed the containers, which made up a two-storey makeshift residential building, and destroyed a refugee housing area spread over 300 square metres.

Germany: ‘We Will Never Vote for Merkel’ Parents of Man Left in Coma After Berlin Attack Lash Out
THE parents of a man who is now in a coma following the horrific Berlin attacks have blamed Chancellor Angela Merkel for the atrocity by failing to control the number of migrants let into Germany.
On Monday a truck was ploughed into the Christmas market in Berlin, which left 12 people dead and 48 others injured.
Speaking to a reporter for a Danish newspaper, the distraught father said: “I will never vote for you again as long as I live. And hopefully neither will my entire family and friends.”
The mother said: “He is seriously injured and is still in a coma.”

Officials in an asylum home in Germany have raised the alarm after discovering several young asylum seekers have been watching Islamic State propaganda films and may have been radicalised.
Officials at an asylum home for unaccompanied minors in Freising discovered three young migrants in their care had not only watched several Islamic State propaganda videos but had also taken pictures of themselves posing with the symbols of the terror group, Müncher Merkur reports.

If you read the story, Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus flee to Egypt to escape the murderous intent of King Herod, suddenly uncomfortable with the notion of a new King being born in his kingdom. But the intention was never to stay in Egypt as new settlers and just as soon as Herod dies (months or a few years) they return to Israel settling in Nazareth.
No actually it’s all wrong.Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem because the Romans were conducting a census and everyone had to come into the cities from the neighboring villages and towns to be registered and counted.David and Mary had to go to Bethlehem to be registered and counted because Bethlehem was where David’s family had originated and they had to register there where his identity could be verified by the men of his line..
..It had nothing to do with Herod.Herod only conducted his massacre a year or two after Christ was born.Which was why he ordered all males under the age of 2 slaughtered.He knew that he had heard of the birth of Christ a year or two late.

I don’t disagree, but I think the point was the trip to Egypt. In Matthew 2:19-20 “After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who are trying to take the child’s life are dead.”
