Another Fantastic Claim Shot to Hell: Weather Begets Climate Belief
Researchers found local experiences and temperatures drive belief or non-belief in climate change …
Anthony comments:
So I’ve read the study, and it’s got one clear problem that I can see, which is obvious from their map — they didn’t account for local media exposure and political bias. Below is a map of how counties voted in the 2012 election, compared to Mann’s climate belief system map. Reds are right leaning (Republican), Blues are left leaning (Democratic). I’ve used this map, because it’s closer to the timeframe of the polling data from Mann’s study, IMO. …
If you compare the grey areas, where belief in global warming due to weather events is high, you’ll note an obvious pattern: The darkest areas in Mann’s map match many of the bluest areas of the voting map. Places like San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Miami, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Washington, DC and Chicago all have strong correlations with voting records.
This suggests that Mann’s study is pure bunk, and is more related to political leanings and media outlets for those areas pushing the AGW meme, than it has to do with weather.

Cops: U-M Student Lied About Man Threatening to Burn Hjiab
A University of Michigan student who told police in November that a man threatened to set her hijab on fire could face charges after investigators discovered she fabricated the entire story, police announced Wednesday.
According to a statement from the Ann Arbor Police Department, detectives worked along with the U-M Division of Public Safety and the FBI to investigate the case, which had been classified as ethnic intimidation.
“Investigators conducted witness interviews and reviewed multiple surveillance videos of the area in question,” the department said. “During the course of the investigation, numerous inconsistencies in the statements provided by the alleged victim were identified. Following a thorough investigation, detectives have determined the incident in question did not occur.”

Obama and Trudeau Seizing the Oceans
It is an irrefutable truth that the UN stole God’s gift to mankind before sanctimoniously calling it the Law of the Sea Treaty.
Its acronym (LOST) best describes where the UN leaves earthlings.
Reams of warnings, all of them patently ignored, have been written about LOST. The late, iconic Phyllis Schlafly wrote in a 2004 column, ‘We Should Drown the Law of the Sea’.
One of CFP’s own columnists, the late Henry Lamb devoted a lifetime trying to stop it.
“Of all the so-called “environmental” treaties that have come down the pike in recent years, none is as comprehensive or as important to the creation of global governance as the Law of the Sea Treaty. Absolute authority over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and taxing power for an international agency under the control of the U.N. create a situation that should give nightmares to every American,” Lamb wrote in 2007 on Canada Free Press.
“Not only would this treaty give the U.N. jurisdiction over the open seas — – 70 percent of the Earth’s surface — it would require that U.S. sovereignty over U.S. territorial seas be exercised “… subject to this Convention and other rules of international law.” Outrageous! And this is one of the least offensive provisions.

by Srdja Trifkovic
Having written dozens of articles on the subject of Islamic terrorism and Europe’s ongoing suicide, following the latest jihadist carnage in Berlin I find myself lost for words—unable to think of anything useful that has not already appeared on this blog. Let me explain . . .
In August of last year I wrote that Europe’s political elite was guilty of facilitating the third Muslim invasion of Europe: “The post-Christian liberal West, which has lost its sense of purpose and history, is unable to protect itself from those who want to conquer it. It is in need of salvation which Christian charity alone is powerless to effect. A stronger medicine is needed, with possibly unpleasant side-effects for the invading aliens and their offspring. The alternative is death.”
Three months later I noted that the Great Invasion of 2015 was continuing unabated because Europe was rich and decadent, and in all creation disease and frailty invite predators. Both the loss of the will to define and defend one’s native land and culture, and the loss of the desire to procreate, send an alluring signal to the teeming kazbahs and sukhs: Come, for these people no longer have the guts to shed blood—alien or their own—to keep you out in order to survive. Spengler heralded The Decline of the West, yet he did not anticipate a cataclysmic event but rather an extended decline. It now appears that the protracted fall is over, and the stage is set for a series of quick, brutal catastrophes:

Catalogue of Blunders That Left ‘Berlin Terrorist’ Free to Kill
The prime suspect for the Berlin massacre was under covert surveillance for months as a possible terrorist threat until police let him slip through their grasp earlier this month.
Anis Amri, 24, a Tunisian asylum seeker who arrived in Germany last year, was investigated for “preparing a serious crime endangering national safety”, involving funding the purchase of automatic weapons for use in a terrorist attack.
Amri had been arrested earlier this year and was known to be a supporter of the terrorist group thought to be behind the Sousse terrorist attack in Tunisia, as well as being a suspected disciple of a notorious hate preacher.
He had multiple identity documents with six different aliases under three nationalities, and a criminal record in Italy and Tunisia. He spent four years in an Italian prison before travelling to Germany after an expulsion order expired.
The German authorities, who were on Wednesday facing serious questions about how Amri was still at large, tried to deport him in June, but because he had no valid papers proving his nationality he was allowed to stay…

Frank Gaffney: Leaders Like Merkel Still ‘Scratching Their Heads’ Over Motivations of Jihadis
Gaffney said the most surprising thing about the latest round of terror attacks is that “we continue to see people in positions of authority — whether it’s Angela Merkel, or whether it’s police authorities, or whether it’s folks assessing the situation on this side of the pond — who scratch their heads and try to figure out what could have motivated someone to do these sorts of heinous attacks, or sort of balk at the idea that it’s actually jihadism, and refrain from calling it that.”
He was willing to give “some measure of credit” to German Chancellor Merkel for acknowledging terrorism was “a distinct possibility early on,” but said it was more important to describe the Berlin massacre as jihadism. This conveys the correct impression that the larger purpose of such attacks is to make targeted populations feel “not just terrified, but subdued, as the Koran puts it.”
“That’s what’s incredible to me, that here we are, 15 years on, and we’re still not getting that’s what’s at work here,” he marveled.

Wilders: ‘Political Revolution is Brewing in Europe’
Yesterday, the Islamic State claimed the Berlin terror attack of Monday evening, in which twelve people were killed with a truck at a Christmas market.
The killer managed to escape. However, in the truck the police found identity papers belonging to Anis A., a Tunisian who came to Germany as an asylum seeker in 2015.
When last year German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened Germany’s borders to almost one million refugees and asylum seekers, she invited the Trojan horse of Islam into her country. Among the so-called refugees were many young men of Islamic background, filled with hatred for the West and its civilization. One of them was Anis A.
It took almost a year for the German authorities to reject his asylum request, but meanwhile the man had disappeared. The police are now looking for him as a prime suspect of Monday’s attack in Berlin.
The German authorities are dangerously underestimating the threat of Islam. They signs are there for all to see. In October, an Afghan asylum seeker raped and murdered a 19-year old German girl in Freiburg. And a 12-year old Iraqi boy was caught before he could explode a nail bomb at a Christmas market in Ludwigshafen.
Last Summer, an Afghan with an axe attacked train passengers in Heidingsfeld, a Syrian murdered a pregnant woman with a machete in Reutlingen, another Syrian detonated a suicide bomb at a music festival in Ansbach, a Palestinian attempted to decapitate a surgeon in Troisdorf. And who has forgotten last New Year’s eve, when migrant sex mobs assaulted hundreds of women in Cologne?
This year, 1,500 police officers will be patrolling the streets in Cologne on New Year’s eve. Ten times more than last year. But how many police officers will be needed next year? And the year after that? And what will happen when they are outnumbered? What is needed are not just more police officers; what is needed is a democratic political revolution…

Turkey is ‘On the Cliff of a Complete Collapse’
Turkey has been inundated with terrorist attacks this year in addition to the failed attempt to topple increasingly radical President Tayyip Erdogan.

She said the best chance for Turkey to reverse course has come and gone.
“I think it’s already too late for the moderates to turn the ship around. Unfortunately, the coup was the last straw, the last attempt at being able to take over the government. Moderates realize that Erdogan has literally driven the country, over the decades since he has been leading the country, into the abyss of radicalism,” Gabriel said.
“That basically killed any chance or any hope for the moderates to really take back their government,” she said.

Homogenization of Temperature Data by the Bureau of Meteorology
[…] He said he was Australia’s lead scientist on the IPCC and, aside from giving us an update on the scientific program in the Antarctic, he was going to talk about climate and global warming. I asked him, were we not in an interglacial warm period in the 100,000 year Milankovitch Cycle and wasn’t all this current warming natural? His jaw dropped and was aghast. Our discussion ended there and he raced off not looking too happy. I couldn’t help but getting the feeling that I wasn’t supposed to know anything about the Milankovitch Cycles. It seemed like no one was supposed to know this.
It seems apparent that we all are just supposed to listen to what the IPCC are telling us and don’t ask questions. So what are the IPCC telling us? …
One has to be excused for being skeptical here but it does look prima facie like the IPCC has asked their 50% partner, the WMO, to give them some temperature data that more closely matches their models. At least 3 of the WMO’s senior partners, BOM — Australia, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration — NOAA — America and Met Office — UK are adjusting their temperature data to something that has a much more closer resemblance to the IPCC’s models. There is no evidence that Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia — (Roshydromet), is involved with these adjustments. …
An Australian scientist, Jennifer Marohasy, has been taking a close interest in the adjustments BOM are making. She produces weather forecasting models and has a grave concern about these adjustments. One of the data inputs to weather forecasting models in temperature. It appears that the temperature is not correct/accurate now. None of these organizations will say or explain what they are doing or are being vague when asked. Raw data is being removed from public scrutiny and no one knows if it is actually being destroyed. Officially they are providing no scientific basis for making these adjustments. The adjustments they are making are complex. The 1940/41 and 1998 El Ninos have been wiped from these records. …

Merkel Facing Ruin: Everything Has Changed for Germany After Berlin Terror, Says Expert
ANGELA Merkel’s open-door migrant policy will come slamming shut and Germany will become a Big Brother state after the Berlin Christmas market terror attack, a leading political commentator has warned.

The publisher-editor of Die Zeit, a weekly German newspaper, and professor at two Ivy League universities, said border controls, which have only this year been reinstated after 1.1million migrants entered in 2015, will be tightened and domestic surveillance will be upped after Monday’s “Berlin bloodbath”.

Will We Really Drain the Swamp?
In my opinion, there are three critical targets that are must hit targets if we are serious about draining the swamp once and for all. If we hit all three, we can drain the swamp. But if we don’t hit all three, we will only pretend to drain the swamp.
THREE KEYS TO DRAINING THE SWAMP
1. The Article II natural born Citizen clause must be enforced and violators must be investigated and prosecuted. Evidence now proves that the entire Obama Administration was based upon fraud. That fraud, left standing, makes it impossible to protect the Oval Office from foreign invasion and occupation. We cannot drain the swamp so long as this remains the case. Barack Hussein Obama and his fellow criminals must be held fully accountable for that fraud, or the Oval Office is unprotected. (SEE P-I and P-II on NBC) — – Congress must immediately open this investigation!
2. The arrest and prosecution of George Soros, and the seizing of all assets and organizations funded by George Soros for the overt purpose of sedition and subversion of the sovereignty and security of our Constitutional Republic. These organizations are the root enemy within that must be eliminated, or the swamp cannot be drained. This is the fuel and ammo supply for all enemy operations within the United States today.
3. The people must file civil suits against their mayors and governors of “sanctuary cities” for threatening the safety, sovereignty and security of their own cities and states by “aiding and abetting” known criminals and criminal activities, as well as “harboring fugitives” from justice under United States Immigration and Naturalization laws. Once again, the swamp cannot be drained while mayors and governors protect “illegal invaders” at the expense of all “legal U.S. citizens.”
Now, if we are serious about draining the swamp, we cannot look past these three key elements to draining the swamp. Without a full-scale assault on these three critical targets on day one of the Trump Administration, the enemies within will continue to operate with impunity to subvert any and all otherwise meaningless efforts to drain the swamp.

FedEx Discount for NRA Unhinges LGBT, Anti-Gun Activists
(BLOOMBERG) A coalition of gay-rights and gun-control activists is taking on FedEx Corp. for discounts it offers to members of the National Rifle Association, targeting the global shipper during the peak of the holiday season.

The first cab off the rank on tonight’s ‘News Feed’ is Italy about to rescue its Banks.
I say why? Why would a government wish to rescue the very things that have got them into so much financial strife in the first place?
Wealth has always been in the eyes of the beholder, and as the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Unless the Banking system is bolstered by their own wealth against what the Banks loan out, then Banks who lend without any kind of fall back, and that has become the norm today under what is termed ‘fiat’ money, then when times turn bad and investors or customers of those Banks who wish to retrieve what they have ‘loaned’ to the Banks will find that they are the losers, and not the Banks.
If countries had the courage to reject the IMF, the World Bank, the Bank of International Settlements and banned their Central Banking system and allow private Banks some leverage, then I believe they could regain control over their own sovereign wealth.
And then we come to the story; ‘Merkel facing ruin…….’ And a Josef Joffe who believes that Germany has only had to deal with no or low victim ‘lone wolf’ attacks?
Perhaps he did not do his homework when it comes to Islamic terrorist attacks on German soil?
Remember the Munich Olympics and the attack at Templehoff airport by the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization)?
My, but oh my, how some deliberately forget their history!
Italian retirees seeking yield have invested huge amount into “retail” bank debt sold over the counter at bank branches. The government has to find some way to make good on that debt or impoverish a sizable chunk of their own population.
Fortunately, the Italian government is going to resist the precedent set by Cyprus & Greece. Instead, they will protect their own citizens from the EU/EZ overlords.
Unless the system is fixed and fixed for good so that these ‘failures’ stop occurring, then nothing will change and this kind of thing will continue on as it has for well over a hundred years.
Those who put money into the Banks may get some of it back but ask yourself, who really wins?
“In possibly unrelated news, German police arrested a Moroccan ISIS supporter who is suspected of being a ringleader in last year’s terror attacks in Paris.”
No doubt he will be bailed, and asked nicely if he would appear at court on April 1st next year.
Do we have bearded and hijabbed up Mulems employed at all levels and other ranks throughout the German police and all defense ministeries? What a bunch of bunnies we are turning into. Very ripe for something piecemeal bloody Islamic. Get them out while you can. Don’t be late start today. Laaaaa dee da.
The Soros virus must be leashed or Western civilization shall perish.
Surely someone can just kidnap this evil man and deliver him to mother Russia who have a warrant out for his arrest and
Would deal with him appropriately!
Eventually California will be a true socialist paradise!! Welcome to the future!!!
Eventually? It’s been since 1992.
I’m no expert on American regional affairs, but I thought California’s finances were sounder since the Democrats came to power?
Why the truck was not immediately searched http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/attentat-in-berlin-wieso-der-lkw-nicht-sofort-durchsucht-wurde-1.3306452
“It would have made sense to promptly search the cabin, since after all islamist assassins have quite often left their papers behind at the crime scene. Instead the black truck was first towed away from the scene, into the hangar of the police.
There, the police first sent dogs into the cabin, to take in the scent of the suspect. To not spoil this scent, the investigators had so far avoided thoroughly searching the cabin. Only later did they find a wallet, from which they then pulled the papers of Anis Amri very slowly and carefully. Only then it occurs to them that a completely different man than the one they have already arrested could be the main suspect.”
