Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/13/2016

With great fanfare the French government unveiled the country’s first de-radicalization center, where it is hoped that young Muslims may be deterred from becoming Islamists. In possibly unrelated news, the French government also promised more financial aid to the country’s tourism industry, which has declined severely in the wake of a series of jihad attacks.

In other news, Jean Asselborn, the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, says that Hungary should be suspended from the European Union for treating refugees like animals.

Italy is the Mother of All Systemic Threats

Italy has been in a crisis for at least eight months, though mainstream media did not recognize it until July. This crisis has nothing to do with Brexit, although opponents of Brexit will claim it does. Even if Britain had voted to stay in the EU, the Italian crisis would still have been gathering speed.

The high level of non-performing loans (NPLs) has been a problem since before Brexit. It is clear that there is nothing in the Italian economy that can reduce them. Only a dramatic improvement in the economy would make it possible to repay these loans. And Europe’s economy cannot improve drastically enough to help. We have been in crisis for quite a while.

Tent Cities Full of Homeless People Are Booming in Cities All Over America as Poverty Spikes

Just like during the last economic crisis, homeless encampments are popping up all over the nation as poverty grows at a very alarming rate. According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, more than half a million people are homeless in America right now, but that figure is increasing by the day. And it isn’t just adults that we are talking about. It has been reported that that the number of homeless children in this country has risen by 60 percent since the last recession, and Poverty USA says that a total of 1.6 million children slept either in a homeless shelter or in some other form of emergency housing at some point last year. Yes, the stock market may have been experiencing a temporary boom for the last couple of years, but for those on the low end of the economic scale things have just continued to deteriorate.

Tonight, countless numbers of homeless people will try to make it through another chilly night in large tent cities that have been established in the heart of major cities such as Seattle, Washington, D.C. and St. Louis. Homelessness has gotten so bad in California that the L.A. City Council has formally asked Governor Jerry Brown to officially declare a state of emergency. And in Portland the city has extended their “homeless emergency” for yet another year, and city officials are really struggling with how to deal with the booming tent cities that have sprung up…

An OS 9 Odyssey: Why These Mac Users Won’t Abandon 16-Year-Old Software

The reasons some Mac lovers stick with OS 9 are practically as numerous as Apple operating systems themselves. There are some OS 9 subscribers who hold out for cost reasons. Computers are prohibitively expensive where they live, and these people would also need to spend thousands on new software licenses and updated hardware (on top of the cost of a new Mac). But many more speak of a genuine preference for OS 9. These users stick around purely because they can and because they think classic Mac OS offers a more pleasant experience than OS X. Creatives in particular speak about some of OS 9’s biggest technical shortcomings in favorable terms. They aren’t in love with the way one app crashing would bring down an entire system, but rather the design elements that can unfortunately lead to that scenario often better suit creative work.

I’m alluding here specifically to the way OS 9 handles multitasking. Starting at System 5, classic Mac OS used cooperative multitasking, which differs from the preemptive multitasking of modern Windows and OS X and Linux. With classic Mac OS multitasking, when you want to change apps it’s up to the active program to relinquish control. This focuses the CPU on just one or two things, which means it’s terrible for today’s typical litany of active processes. As I write this sentence I have 16 apps open on my iMac, some of which are running multiple processes and threads, and that’s in addition to background syncing on four cloud services.

By only allowing a couple of active programs, classic Mac OS streamlines your workflow to closer resemble the way people think (until endless notifications and frequent app switching cause our brains to rewire). In this sense, OS 9 is a kind of middle ground between modern distraction-heavy computing and going analog with pen and paper or typewriter.

Clinton Collapse: Is Hillary Clinton Going to Drop Out of the Race for the White House?

What was once unthinkable has now become a very real possibility. We have all seen the video which shows Hillary Clinton fainting and collapsing into the arms of Secret Service agents as she waited to get into her van following an abrupt exit from a ceremony commemorating the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. What has been obvious to many of us for quite a while is now being talked about on every political talk show in America. Not too long ago, you were called a “ conspiracy theorist” if you dared to question Clinton’ s health, but today it is the central issue of the presidential campaign. With less than two months to go until election day, all of a sudden we are facing some unprecedented scenarios. Last month, I openly pondered if Clinton’ s rapidly declining health would allow her to make it to election day, and today it is being reported that Democratic operatives are scrambling to figure out who would replace her if she does decide to drop out. This has already been the craziest election season in modern times, and I have a feeling that it is about to get even crazier.

For Clinton, it isn’ t just the fact that she collapsed in public that has her in trouble. An even bigger issue is the fact that her campaign willingly chose to lie about her health status, and this even has many Democrats up in arms. The following comes from an excellent piece by Damon Linker…

Harvard PhD Explains How Google Search Bias Could “Shift 3 Million Votes” In Upcoming Election

In this exclusive report, distinguished research psychologist Robert Epstein explains the new study and reviews evidence that Google’s search suggestions are biased in favor of Hillary Clinton. He estimates that biased search suggestions might be able to shift as many as 3 million votes in the upcoming presidential election in the US.

Biased search rankings can swing votes and alter opinions, and a new study shows that Google’s autocomplete can too.

A scientific study I published last year showed that search rankings favoring one candidate can quickly convince undecided voters to vote for that candidate — as many as 80 percent of voters in some demographic groups. My latest research shows that a search engine could also shift votes and change opinions with another powerful tool: autocomplete.

Because of recent claims that Google has been deliberately tinkering with search suggestions to make Hillary Clinton look good, this is probably a good time both to examine those claims and to look at my new research. As you will see, there is some cause for concern here.

Irredeemable

The undercurrent of Hillary’s “irredeemable” comment, something now explicitly defended by the media, is that racially aware whites deserve no political representation, no place in polite society, nothing but contempt and hatred. At the same time, the racial identity of every other group is to be praised. Nothing is even offered to defend this double standard anymore except snark and signaling.

This is a suicidal strategy. It increases the expectations among nonwhites to unrealistic levels. As we see with the carnage in the cities and attacks on police officers, it constantly threatens to spill out of control into violence and rioting. There’s also the threat White and Jewish leftists will lose political control of their black and Hispanic pets, who will refuse to vote for the likes of Hillary Clinton much longer. If not united by a common foe, the militant left cannot coexist with Clintonian corporate liberalism for long, as we saw in the 2016 Democratic primaries.

The only tactic they have is to double down on incitement against the European-American population. What Raspail called the conflict between “the Fatherland and the Republic” in France, the contradiction between the egalitarian premises of the System and the reality that whites created and sustain the West, will define the politics of the next century in America and Europe.

The foundational principle of the modern anti-West is the idea you can replace the entire population of a country without cost to its institutions, social stability, and level of civilization. This principle, as we see every day, is wrong. And just as failed socialist regimes turn to outlandish theories about “wreckers” and saboteurs to explain the failure of their system, so will Cultural Marxists turn on us. The more “White racism” is pathologized, the more unhinged and hysterical will be the witch hunts for the racial dissidents ostensibly ruining everything.

Middle-Aged White Women in America Are Dying at Staggeringly Rates From Drug Overdoses, Suicides & Drinking

Across the country, middle-aged white women are dying at staggeringly higher rates, particularly from drug overdoses, suicides and excessive drinking.

The trend is most powerful in rural areas and smaller cities, where middle-aged white men are also dying more. In contrast, middle-aged African Americans, Hispanics and whites in the largest cities are dying less often, The Washington Post found in an investigation.

In Carbon County, Utah, the death rate for middle-aged white women has increased 46 percent. The current rate of 223 deaths per 100,000 people is in the middle third of the state and the highest third of the nation. This means that death rates in this county fall in the middle for counties in Utah and are worse than two-thirds of counties nationally.

President Obama Wants This to be the Last Month of an Open, Uncensored Internet

(From The Wall Street Journal)

The Constitution says Congress must approve the sale of government property. The Icann contract is government property worth billions of dollars, yet the Obama administration has ignored the requirement to seek congressional approval. “Absent clear legal certainty, moving forward with the transition could have devastating consequences for internet users,” the legislators write, because litigation would create questions about who has authority to award and manage internet addresses.

Each of these objections is enough to retain U.S. oversight, but the broader point is that the internet ain’t broke and doesn’t need fixing. Icann’s stakeholders-developers, engineers, network operators and entrepreneurs-are free to operate an open internet because U.S. protection prevents Moscow, Beijing, Tehran and other authoritarian regimes from meddling. The Obama administration may not be comfortable with American exceptionalism, but the internet fosters free speech and innovation because it was built in the image of the U.S.

Is it really this? Is it really that Obama takes umbrage with American “exceptionalism.” I think it might just be. Not to say that the USA is perfect. Sadly far far from it. However, do we want Saudi Arabia weighing in on the flow of information through the Internet via some United Nations body? How long until that goes horribly wrong?

By which of course I mean “horribly” for you and me and lovers of liberty. For the despots UN ICANN control will be great.

[Comment: Cockroach elites seek to control the internet because it is an effective tool for the dissemination of the light of truth.]

Austrian Cardinal Warns of “Islamic Conquest’ of Europe

Austrian Cardinal Christoph Schönborn made the warning on Sunday during the church festival “Holy Name of Mary”, which was first introduced 333 years ago in gratitude for the victory over the Ottomans in the Battle of Vienna.

According to the Archdiocese of Vienna, the cardinal said: “Will there be an Islamic conquest of Europe? Many Muslims want that and say: Europe is at the end.”

He asked God to have mercy on Europe and to show mercy to its people, which he said “are in danger of forfeiting our Christian heritage”.

Italy: Referendum No Vote Would be Step Back Says US Ambassador

John Phillips says rejection of overhaul would hit investment

(ANSA) — Rome, September 13 — United States Ambassador to Rome John Phillips said Tuesday that “it would be a step back for foreign investment in Italy” if the No vote won in the autumn referendum on the government’s overhaul of the country’s political machinery. The reform amends the Constitution and, among other things, turns the Senate into a leaner assembly of local government representatives with limited powers to save money and make passing legislation easier.

Speaking at the Istituto di Studi Americani in Rome, Phillips said that, while “the referendum is an Italian decision”, the country must also “guarantee political stability”.

He continued: “63 governments in 63 years do not give guarantees. (The reform vote) offers hope of government stability to attract investors”. Premier Matteo Renzi has said he will quit if he loses the referendum. Almost all of Italy’s opposition groups are campaigning for a No vote. Phillips also said that United States President Barack Obama has great respect for Renzi. “Renzi has done an important job and is held in very high esteem by Obama, who appreciates his leadership,” Phillips said.

On Monday it was announced that Obama will lay on a State dinner for Renzi at the White House on October 18.

A No in the referendum on a reform of Italy’s political machinery would be seen “as a negative shock for the economy and the Italian credit rating,” Fitch’s head of sovereign ratings for Europe and the Middle East, Edward Parker, said Tuesday. “Any political turbulence or problems in the banking sector that may have repercussions on the real economy or on public debt could lead to a negative intervention on Italy’s rating,” he added. Italy is set to vote in late November or early December on the reform that would turn the Senate into a leaner, regionally based assembly with limited lawmaking powers, cutting gridlock and expenses. A No vote would have a knock-on effect on the government of Premier Matteo Renzi, who initially said he would quit if the reform was defeated but has recently hinted that would no longer be so. Italy’s business leaders have come out strongly for a Yes vote.

Other police units clashed with another group of protestors nearer the opera house, as demonstrators tried to break through a cordon.

Egyptian Youths Escape Sharia Inferno

Mocking Islam or mocking the prophet of Islam spells doom. In Egypt you will be arrested, have home and property confiscated, and be coerced to “force emigrate” from your town. Then count on a five-year prison term. This was exactly the penalty for four Coptic Christian school boys, ages 14 through 17, and their teacher.

Modernity grazed the 7th century when a lost cell phone turned up in the hands of a sectarian street thug ready for Sharia justice against its owner. The sim card showed a video of a 36-second skit mocking ISIS terrorists praying to Allah. Away from home on a school trip, the boys used their teacher’s phone to record the funny scene they acted out, thinking ISIS was fair game and knowing that Islam was not. Unfortunately for them, the cell phone was lost or stolen and missing for a solid year. Found by Muslims who became offended by the “blasphemy”, the Egyptian courts overlooked the violent retaliation by the gang prompted to attack homes and businesses and instead arrested the boys and their teacher.

On the same day Muslims struck the town, the police were notified and arrested the four Coptic boys and their teacher. Before their convictions by the courts, the Christian blasphemers were forced to apologize. One month later, on May 27, 2015, the boys were released on bail, and February of this year they were sentenced to prison for five years. They were allowed to pay a two thousand pound fee per student to temporarily suspend the verdict’s start date because they were not present at the sentencing.

This last fact was a big factor in reversing their fortune. The boys were facing the devastation of their remaining adolescence. They would soon be housed behind bars in cells with jihadists, possibly members of the Muslim Brotherhood or worse. The prospect was bleak, but all is well now thanks to anonymous channels.

The hidden hand of a courageous heart behind the scenes knowing the complexity of such matters delivered the four boys from an Egyptian inferno. They were enabled to tackle security to obtain their passports and move through customs bound for Turkey (a country with bad diplomatic relations with Egypt). As tragic, glaring examples of religious tyranny and “refugee” status as defined by the U.N., the boys have now arrived in Switzerland where their request for religious asylum was granted.

Italy to Send 300 Military Personal to Libya — Pinotti

Operation ‘Ippocrate’ to feature 100 protection force troops

(ANSA) — Rome, September 13 — Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti told parliament Tuesday that Italy was ready to send 300 military personnel to Libya as part of an operation to set up a military field hospital at Misrata airport. Pinotti told the Lower House and Senate defence committees that operation Ippocrate will feature 60 doctors and nurses, 135 logistics personnel and 100 ‘protection force troops’.

Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Tuesday that Italy will set up a military hospital for forces loyal to the national unity government after a request from Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj. “The Misrata militias have suffered 400 deaths and 2,500 wounded,” Gentiloni told the Lower House and Senate defence committees. “In the last few months Italy has helped by taking into hospital some of the most seriously wounded and, in this spirit, came the decision to respond to a formal request from Sarraj to set up a military hospital”.

Italy will name as new ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Perrone and he will take up his post in Tripoli “as soon as possible”, Gentiloni added. Italy will continue its commitment to Libya, he said, “trying to play a more advanced role in the crisis”.

Gentiloni also said that “the military operations begun Sunday in (Libya’s) oil crescent may have a destabilising effect.” He said “the operations were conducted by Sudanese and Chadian militiamen loyal to (General Khalifa) Haftar”. Gentiloni said “the situation is still unstable, one cannot say that Haftar has control nor that others have it, clashes are ongoing, albeit on a smaller scale”.

Almost Half of Venezuelans Would Leave the Country if They Could, Poll Finds

CARACAS, VENEZUELA — Last month 20 Venezuelans were arrested as they were trying to sneak into Curaçao, the island country in the southern Caribbean Sea, using a small boat — just like Cubans rafters do to make their way to Florida.

According to a Datin Corp poll released last week, 57 percent of Venezuelan registered voters want to leave the country. This means that approximately 12 million people want out, almost half of the 30 million who populate the country if we take out children and teens.

Being White, And a Minority, In Georgia

One of the clearest signs of how times have changed in this little Southern town is literally a sign. It’s the outline of a faded red, oblong Dairy Queen sign that towers over Buford Highway just a few miles from the city line.

It used to direct residents to a fast food franchise, a beacon of Americana, where a hamburger cost 79 cents. The building is gone now. Only the sign remains, and at its base is a Hispanic man with a machete, slicing open coconuts piled in the back of his trailer.

His English is shaky. His coconuts cost $4.

A generation ago, this Atlanta suburb was 95 percent white and rural with one little African-American neighborhood that was known as “colored town.’’ But after a tidal wave of Hispanic and Asian immigrants who were attracted to Norcross by cheap housing and proximity to a booming job market, white people now make up less than 20 percent of the population in Norcross and surrounding neighborhoods. It’s a shift so rapid that many of the longtime residents feel utterly disconnected from the place where they raised their children.

“It’s not that much anger, but you don’t feel comfortable knowing that all this is around you,” said Billy Weathers, 79, who has lived in the area for his whole life and doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish.

Migrants Granted Refugee Status Are Holidaying in Countries They ‘Fled’, at Taxpayers’ Expense

Migrants with recognised refugee status are holidaying in the countries they supposedly “fled”, with their vacations funded by German taxpayers, a newspaper has found. Newspaper Welt am Sonntag learnt that migrants are returning to countries such as Syria, Afghanistan, and Lebanon for holiday purposes, then travelling back to Germany where they continue to receive comfortable welfare payments. The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has been aware for some time that some recognised refugees are taking leisure trips to the very spots they claim their lives are in danger. The government body sent a written request to Berlin’s employment agencies in June, asking that they report the travel arrangements of migrants granted asylum holidaying in their countries of origin.

Only 505 Invaders Returned to Turkey

Only 505 nonwhite invaders have been returned to Turkey since the “EU deal” was signed in March this year-and of that number, only five have actually had their asylum claims rejected. At the same time, at least 166,570 invaders have landed in Greece from Turkey since the beginning of the year. Of the 505 returnees, at least 500 have either refrained from requesting asylum, or withdrawn their applications.

The Migrant Rape Epidemic in Germany and the Descent Into Madness

The staggering number of sex crimes committed in a single month in Germany (July 2016) by non-White immigrants will give us an idea of the scale of this problem on an annual basis. Never before in peacetime have the women of any single nation been sexually assaulted and raped on such an industrial scale. Females of all ages, from toddlers to women in their late seventies, are included in the grim statistics. Most of the victims are young rather than old; and their assailants, who are of all ages, are almost invariably single men who are described coyly in official documents as “Southerners”, or, more audaciously, as “dark-skinned foreigners”.

Allow me to insert at this point the first of three lists of sex crimes committed by immigrants to Germany in the single month of July 2016. The three dates are randomly chosen at regular ten-day intervals: July 1, July 10, and July 20. This will give you a pretty good idea of what is going on in Germany nowadays.

First, then, the details for July 1, 2016…

Not only are ridiculous efforts being made to suppress the ethnic origin of the criminals-too much candor is seen as “racist”-but disingenous attempts are sometimes made to give the impression that the criminals could be white. (See here)

Top German Companies Say Refugees Not Ready for Job Market

Germany’s blue-chip companies will have to explain to Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday why they have managed to hire fewer than 100 refugees after around a million arrived in the country last year.

Merkel, fighting for her political life over her open-door policy, has summoned the bosses of some of Germany’s biggest companies to Berlin to account for their lack of action and exchange ideas about how they can do better.

Many of the companies say a lack of German-language skills, the inability of most refugees to prove any qualifications, and uncertainty about their permission to stay in the country mean there is little they can do in the short term.

Tim Kaine’s Butchering of Genesis to Justify the LGBT Agenda is . . . Quite Something

I don’t want to make this a partisan thing because it’s not only Democrats who butcher Scripture in support of political agendas. A lot of Republicans who want to embrace the Bible-believer mantle will trumpet a verse here or a passage there to help them make their political points, but they don’t really dive into the Word of God with true devotion to Christ as the driving force.

That said, it’s Democrats who have a habit of twisting God’s Word to try to justify absolutely horrendous things so they can pretend their embrace of the immoral is somehow not an affront to the Living God.

That brings us to Tim Kaine, who claims to be a devout Catholic, and offers a novel take on Genesis in order to justify his support of gay marriage, transgenderism and all kinds of other things clearly not supported in the Bible. I’m going to share this from the perspective of the wonderful Dr. Michael Brown. The actual quote from Kaine is in bold in the excerpt:

    • De-radicalisation is a scam. The main feature of it is the Kuffar government handing over taxpayers’ money to the mosques, in other words, jizya.

What it consists of, how its performance can be measured, whether it is even happening at all, are all unknowns.

    • Actually, what they ought to do is open up safe houses next door to every mosque.

It should have a large sign in several appropriate languages advertising safety for Muslim women who want to flee their battering husbands/brothers, and who want to be free of the hijab and the burkah.

It should advertise safety for girls in Muslim (especially Arab Muslim) households who want to escape the incestual interest of brothers and cousins, who want to escape an honor killing for wanting to be free, who want to escape intimate mutilation, and who want to escape a forced marriage themselves, or for a younger sister or daughter in danger of being forced to be a child-bride or in danger of mutilation.

It should also advertise safety for any Muslim, male or female, who wants to leave Islam and escape the threat of immediate murder.

In some (most) cases, these people should be provided with new identities, as is done for witness protection.

When people can leave safely, we would then see Islam start to evaporate in France.

Safe houses would also be stark public reminders of the reality of Islam. Once safe, many of these people would speak out, talking of the horrors and stupidity of the religion.

Safe houses would require tough-minded social workers, who have strong internalized values, and are unafraid to stand up and reply to the vicious charges of racism, directed against anyone who tells the truth about Islam.

In fact, even calling the religion “Islam” is a concession. The reality is that its proper name is Muhammedanism — reflecting the insupportable belief that Muhammad was a prophet relaying divine directives.

The safe house social workers, by the way, should be armed and dangerous.

      • Islam would always attract extremely stupid and extremely greedy people who salivate over all the so-called riches that Islamic people have to offer without care for the endless ugly consequences.

They don’t need safe houses from us infidels. They need to clean up their act and stop disrupting our peaceful infidels life.

  1. No doubt run by horse faced, left wing, bleeding heart, mis-fit, gender fluid, unemployable (elsewhere), luvvies who will be still be blissfully unaware when the whole enterprise (literally) blows up in their faces.

  2. If today’s Germans had any brains, or should I say their leaders (Angela, pay attention) they would be deporting these cretins as fast as possible. Send them back to their sand hills already. Were I a German I would sue Angela.

Of course they are not ready for job market — they are illiterate and uncivilized.

Why can’t anyone tell the truth these days? It’s a problem here in USA as well, but in Germany it is far worse.

Tim Kaine is not a Catholic, he just thinks he is.

    • Tim Kaine hid his fundamentalist anti-gun beliefs while running for governor in VA, but it’s partly why HRC chose him. And partly because he’s an opportunist who will do whatever he needs to do to get ahead.

  3. About the criticism from Luxembourg for Hungary… An article coming down soon what exactly Viktor Orban said, but it is interesting hear how the tax cheater capital of the world educate others about fairness!

  4. I have to make one more comment. Viktor Orban is the the only smart European left, and of course he is a Magyar (I am too). The rest are lost in a mire of PC, which is killing them and they refuse to recognize this.

To fix the problem, you do NOT import even more illiterate savages who have no job skills other than head-chopping! You send them back to their countries of origin. What is wrong with Europe? Committing national suiicide is not really a smart option. France has already done so, Germany is doing so — does anyone anywhere read history? This has all happened before and it did not turn out well the last time the Muslims invaded.

Might try reading “The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise” to see how Muslims are just not a good mix for Europeans, Americans, or any other people. They need to be in their own countries, for God’s sake. We in America have had a few head-chopping due to the “peaceful” (my ass) Muslims. I would deport every one of them unless they can prove they are living a civilized life (by our standards).

The world is imploding and everyone is just holding their hands and doing nothing.

    • Mariadee, you certainly speak for most of us in the above comment, but re “unless they can prove they are living a civilized life …” Sorry, but even that is not enough, since as you know, and it’s happened so many times in the last few years, moslems can be the quiet ‘decent’ neighbours one day and a mad, raging, murderous jihadi the next!

My wife and I are two ‘oldies’ looking askance at a world gone irretrievably mad; a world where our western governments insist our murderous enemies of the last 1400 years are really our friends and we should welcome them, house them, feed them and treat them as superior beings, when in actual fact they are backward, inbred, often illiterate murderous filth; the failed trash who couldn’t make it in their own countries–as one African politician said a month or so back.
      This cannot be happening….

  5. In reading about Venezuela’s food shortage I wondered why we don’t have a flood of Venezuelan immigrants. Almost immediately I realized one of the most effective walls ever constructed lies in Panama.

  6. I am a woman on a train. I have used this train to get to my employment for many years.
I arrived at the train station a few years back to find that the army was guarding the train station. this made me feel better as the army was also guarding significant tourist attractions like the Eiffel tower and Notre Dame.
But now I find that not only are train stations and tourist attractions being guarded by arms but that the entire transit system needs to be protected.
Think about that for a minute; just 20 years ago this wouldn’t have even taken place.
I rode the Paris underground and the Chunnel train 15 years ago. There were no armed guards.
    What has happened?
You would have to be a nit wit to drive your car through Calaise or, take a hotel room in the 19th arrondisement of Paris; which we did in 2001.
I understand that tourism is down in France, particularly Paris.
I am sorry to say that it doesn’t matter how much the French Gov’t throws at tourism, people are voting with their feet.

    • It’s extremely sad how few people seem to be able to connect the dots.

You’d think people would be wondering why the military was deployed all over the place and thinking that something is seriously wrong then wonder what the cause was and what they could do about it.

    • Exactly, Babs!

The tourists may not be returning to Paris any time soon. The same may go for Nice and the Côte d’Azur, The French Riviera.

After all the terror we have seen in France, tourists are decouraged from visiting the country, first of all, Paris. However, the muslims may still come to visit from other parts of the world.

Paris used to be one of the most important cities for fashion. For how much longer? Fashion’s living legend, Karl Lagerfeld, has already expressed his loss of faith in Paris. Moreover, who is going to flock to the famous museums, where even the guards are mohammedans?

Did the whole City of London move over the Channel to Paris after Brexit, after all?

Will the French ever take back its capital, and its country? Will the tourists ever, again, keep returning to Paris, the City of Lights?

      • I might also add a definition for Orban:
A man that has to walk around like one of those bears at the Russian circus.

        • I wonder if you might just expand on that comment; can’t believe you just wrote that….

Or am I taking that the wrong way?
