Through the Looking Glass at a Police Station in Quebec

“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.”

From Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

If a supporter of gun rights or an opponent of gay marriage were to threaten Canadian police with a purported bomb, you can bet your poutine it would be labeled terrorism. But when a Muslima does the same thing while invoking Allah — no, that’s not terrorism. The woman has mental issues, and is probably a lone she-wolf who was radicalized suddenly online. Later on we’ll find out she was bullied in school…

“Terrorism” means just what the Powers That Be choose it to mean — neither more nor less.

0:00   So if I understand correctly, there really was a woman
0:08   who had tried to hurt two of your people?
0:11   In fact, at night, on August 9th at around 2:45am,
0:17   a lady in her forties who performed a dangerous driving maneuver
0:21   towards two police officers, stationed in front of the district 39 station.
0:25   So what happened then? She enters here in the parking lot
0:29   there are two officers outside, if I understand correctly. — Absolutely, there are two officers
0:35   outside next to their vehicle as a result of the dangerous driving maneuver
0:38   where the lady hit a police vehicle and tried to flee.
0:41   The officers managed to quickly surround and restrain her
0:46   and they filed charges. — According to my information, chief Martel,
0:50   she then allegedly said : “Allah! The planet is at war!”
0:54   all while indicating that there were a bomb on the roof of your vehicle.
0:57   What do you know about it? — In fact, at first, following her behavior,
1:02   and her words, one would believe those were words related to terrorism,
1:06   but after an investigation, we can confirm that
1:09   there are no links to any terrorist activity.
1:12   So, chief, there’s the impression that she allegedly has mental health problems?
1:16   Indeed, after the charges were filed against the lady,
1:19   the prosecutor asked that a psychological evaluation be performed.
1:22   So there are no charges related to an allegedly terrorist action?
1:27   None, all charges filed are related to dangerous driving,
1:31   uttering threats, so, absolutely,
1:35   an armed attack, but no criminal charges in that direction.
1:41   What is going to happen to her, chief, is she being detained?
1:44   At this time she is being detained, before her appearance in court.
1:48   All right. Perfect. Concerning the two officers who were outside,
1:51   were they hurt? — None of them was hurt, fortunately.
1:55   They are doing fine, we followed up with them,
1:58   and they are back at work.- Did you… I have this feeling…
2:01   you did verify whether there was something on the roof; you didn’t take it lightly?
2:05   As a matter of fact in every event of this type
2:08   we do verify and take security measures.
2:11   So nothing serious was found at that level? — Nothing at all.
2:14   Thank you, chief. — Thank you.

  1. So she was charged by Chief Martel?
We need more Martels. Maybe the Canadians will send us a few.

    • Can’t, she’s not WASP, only WASPs do hate crimes, after all, it was probably them who bullied her at achool…..

  2. Looks like a simple case of attempted “vehicular jihad”,though rather poorly executed.
Amusing that the Police Chief is a Martel, though he obviously can’t see any link to Islam.

  3. Sounds more like driving under the influence of a hateful ideology. Don’t drive and shahada.

  4. The trend to routinely apply the ‘mentally ill’ characterization to jihadists by taxpayer funded security and political professionals could work in our favor in the US. Establishing a pattern of equating jihad to mental illness over the last decades paves the way for a legal DSM code (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder) compiled by the American Psychiatric Association. Such a diagnosis would demand treatment and certain limitations, such as…

Nat’l Conference of State Legislators: Possession of Firearms by People With Mental Illness
Possession of a firearm by the mentally ill is regulated by both state and federal laws.

Federal Law….Under 18 U.S.C. § 922(d), it is unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person “has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution.”

  5. Apparently murdering unarmed people with a 30-shot pistol obtained for that specific purpose while shouting “Allahu akbar!” is workplace violence. So – the precedent for Alice in Wonderland absurdity has been established. Vehicular assault with intention to kill people can be dangerous driving, and anything too egregious for happy euphemisms will be ignored and buried by the Quisling media.

    • Quebeckers have more backbone than the French from France.
Possibly a bit more than anglo-Canadians, actually.
