An explosion at a sports center in Belgium leveled half the building and buried five people in the rubble. At least one person is thought to have died in the blast. The authorities don’t yet know the cause of the explosion, but they are certain there is no connection to terrorism. As of this writing, there’s no word on whether anyone shouted “Allahu Akhbar”, had a history of mental problems, or was bullied in school. Stay tuned.
In other news, during German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Prague, an armed man driving a Mercedes tried to push his way into her motorcade, in a presumed assassination attempt. The man was arrested and is now in police custody.

Assange: New Hillary Info Could Swing Election “If it Catches Fire”
Next Wikileaks data dump could be a ‘game changer’
Assange may be referring to information about Hillary Clinton’s ill health, a topic which the campaign has been forced to respond to after our video went viral, attracting over 3.4 million views.
Wikileaks has already begun releasing emails from Hillary’s private server that suggest the presidential candidate was suffering from “decision fatigue” and sought information about a drug used to treat Parkinson’s and sleepiness.
Other leaks could come from the additional 14,900 emails in the possession of the FBI. On Tuesday, Wikileaks tweeted that it would be releasing some of this “bombshell” information.
As we documented in a previous video, Assange appears to be concerned over his safety given the importance of the information in Wikileaks’ possession. He has mentioned in previous interviews about how Hillary is kept constantly updated about his activities.
Earlier this week, UK police took two hours to respond to an intruder at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London where Assange is exiled despite there being a police station just two minutes walk away from the building.

George Soros’s Open Society Foundations spent $650,000 in an effort to influence Pope Francis during his visit to the United States, a leaked document reveals.
The document is an agenda for a May 2015 New York meeting of the U.S programs division of the Open Society Foundations. It states that it had allocated $650,000 for a grant related to Pope Francis’ September 2015 visit to the United States. The group DC Leaks has released over 2,000 documents from groups associated with Soros.

Nigel Farage Draws Thunderous Ovation at Trump Rally: “I Wouldn’t Vote for Hillary if She Paid Me”
It was a match made in anti-establishment heaven when Nigel Farage appeared next to Donald Trump at a Mississippi rally last night. One week after Trump tweeted that “They will soon be calling me MR. BREXIT,” the real Mr. Brexit spoke alongside Trump in a much anticipated event.
Farage, the former leader of the UK Independence Party and according to many the chief proponent of the successful Brexit campaign, joined Trump on stage at a rally to draw similarities between the UK’s vote to leave the European Union and Trump’s insurgent campaign. He started off by focusing on a common enemey, President Barack Obama, whom he savaged for urging British voters to remain in the European Union ahead of the “Brexit” referendum: “He talked down to us. He treated us as if we were nothing,” Farage said, and while he declined to endorse Trump, he opined on the US presidential election.
“I will say this: If I was an American citizen, I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton if you paid me. I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton if she paid me,” Farage said, as Trump’s supporters roared with approval.
Political observers have drawn a slew of similarities between Trump’s campaign and the pro-Brexit movement and Trump has also approvingly likened the two political movements.
Farage’s visit came as Trump trail Hillary in the polls, with the British politician seeking to encourage Trump supporters not to despair, pointing to polling in the UK that hinted at defeat for the referendum to leave the EU. “And actually they were all wrong,” Farage said.
He concluded with the following advice: “if you want change, you better get your walking boots on, you better get out there campaigning and remember, anything is possible if enough decent people are prepared to stand up against the establishment.”

TORONTO — Canada’s “principal terrorist threat” comes from those inspired by extremist ideologies to conduct attacks, the government said Thursday in its latest update on the security challenges facing the country.
Released by Pubic Safety Minister Ralph Goodale just over two weeks after a failed ISIL-inspired suicide bombing in Ontario, the report said ISIL and its sibling al-Qaida “continue to appeal to certain individuals in Canada.”

Blast Rocks Sports Center in Belgium’s Chimay, Casualties Reported
A powerful explosion went off at a sports facility in the Belgian city of Chimay, partially destroying the building and burying at least five people under the rubble. One person has reportedly been killed and four more treated for injuries.
At least one person was killed after the building collapsed, Belga News Agency reported citing emergency services spokesperson.
The blast reportedly struck the sports center and a pool located on the Rue de Chalon just after midnight.
The explosion took place in a storage room of the center, RTL reported, citing a rescue worker.
Five people were inside the building at the time of the blast, RTL reported. Two of them were seriously injured and taken to hospitals for treatment. The other two received minor injuries and were taken to the local health center.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear, but authorities do not believe the incident to be terror-related.
“We are not 100% sure, but, most likely, we are dealing with a gas explosion due to a suicide. There are no other explanations,” a crisis center spokesperson told RIA Novosti.

German Government Preparing for “Civil Unrest”
Citizens panic buy food after warning of national catastrophe
Prominent political parties on both the left and right in Germany agree that the government is preparing for mass “civil unrest” that could arise out of the arrival of large numbers of immigrants or as a result of war.
Many Germans expressed alarm after the German government advised them to ensure they had stockpiles of food and water that could last up to 10 days in the event of a national catastrophe, leading to panic buying and empty shelves.
That warning formed part of the government’s new ‘Concept for Civil Defense’, further details of which were announced by Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere yesterday.
Both the Left Party and the right-wing Alternative for Germany party (AfD) reacted to the policy paper by asserting that it was part of plans for the militarization of law enforcement to deal with mass civil unrest.
“If there are dangers, that threaten our country at that point, it is civil unrest, brought to us by unsatisfied refugees, who have been invited to our country by our government with wrong promises,” AfD spokesman Ronald Glaser told Sputnik.

Of All the Bad Things About France’s Burkini Ban, This is the Worst…
There are several reasons why burkini bans like the one currently being enforced in Nice, France are a seriously bad idea.
One, is that they inevitably lead to ugly, embarrassing, unhelpful stories like this one involving a hapless Muslim woman being fined on the beach and forced by uniformed officers to expose her arms. You can see why locals might feel very strongly about Islam after the Islamic-State-inspired massacre of 85 innocents in the Bastille Day truck attack. But unfortunately it has the doubly negative effect of making the local authorities look petty, vindictive and helpless, while serving to exacerbate local Muslims’ sense of grievance, alienation and victimhood.
Another — as Douglas Murray eloquently argues here — is that it’s just a silly distraction from the real issues. Burkinis don’t pose a public safety threat — unlike, say, a burka you can’t hide an AK 47 under them because they’re too tight fitting. Picking on an item of clothing enables the authorities to give the false impression that they’re really getting tough when actually they’re brushing the real problems (mass immigration; Saudi-funded Wahabist indoctrination etc) under the carpet.
But easily the worst is that it gives progressive blowhards like James O’Brien the chance to demonstrate how inclusive and caring and unIslamophobic they are with virtue-signalling analogies like the one he inflicted today on listeners to his whiny-bitch LBC radio show.

UK: Blow to Theresa May as Migration Runs at Three Times Government Target
Migration to Britain remains close to record levels, with numbers running at more than three times the Government’s target, new official figures have shown. The latest statistics, which also showed arrivals from Romania and Bulgaria reaching a new high, will add to the political pressure on Theresa May to toughen immigration controls further.

UK: Rotherham Social Services Urge Court Ban on Men Approaching Teenage Girl
Social services staff want a High Court judge to intervene in a bid to protect a vulnerable a teenage girl they say is being sexually exploited by four men.
Lawyers representing council bosses in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, want a judge to order the men to stay away from the youngster.
Mr Justice Keehan has analysed preliminary issues at hearings in the Family Division of the High Court in London.
Decisions are expected to be made in the near future following a final hearing.
In late 2014, Mr Justice Keehan made civil court orders against 10 men from the Birmingham area, who had sexually exploited a teenage girl who was in local authority care, following ‘‘bold and novel’’ legal moves by council bosses.
Police said there was insufficient evidence to secure criminal convictions against the men.
But Mr Justice Keehan imposed injunctions barring the men from contacting the teenager, and from approaching girls they did not know, following applications by Birmingham City Council.

Czech Hiker Found After a Month in New Zealand Mountain Hut
A Czech hiker who went missing a month ago has been found sheltering in a hut in the snowy mountains of southern New Zealand, telling police her husband had fallen to his death nearby.
The woman, who has not been named, was found by a search team near Lake Mackenzie on Wednesday.

In a discovery that has been years in the making, researchers have confirmed the existence of a rocky planet named Proxima b orbiting Proxima Centauri, the closest star to our sun, according to a new study. It is the closest exoplanet to us in the universe.

Jun 9, 2016 — The Journal reports that Soros is betting against America, adopting “bearish derivative positions that serve as wagers against U.S. stocks.” It is not clear at what point in the first quarter the firm took those positions; the S&P 500 was up 3% on the quarter, so Soros may be in the red so far, according to the Journal report. But on May 16, Soros’ fund disclosed that it had doubled its bet against American stocks.
