On August 21 the American Freedom Alliance presented a conference in Los Angeles, “Islam and Western Civilization: Can they Coexist?” One of the featured speakers was Dr. Andrew Bostom, the author of The Legacy Of Jihad: Islamic Holy War And The Fate of Non-Muslims and Iran’s Final Solution for Israel: The Legacy of Jihad and Shi’ite Islamic Jew-Hatred in Iran.

  1. Yea, but is it the most profitable option? I mean, think of all the customers and business deals some multinational corporations, and large universities, might lose if everyone starts admitting that Islam is not the religion of peace.

  2. Andrew, please speak faster, mispronounce more of your words and by all means act more anxious – perhaps by stammering. A true scholar, a necessary author to have on the shelf, and a really poor speaker. He reminds me of the guys who read the legal disclaimer at the end of a radio commercial…who’s lips sometimes catch on fire.

    • I grew up in NYC in the 1940’s and 1950’s when NYC was about 25 to 30% Jewish. If you couldn’t get your sentence out in nanoseconds, you were ignored and thought stupid. Similarly, if you grew up there you learned to pay attention when someone spoke and grasp what was said quickly or you were thought to be a dolt and ignored. Your arguments had to be concise and quick or you were toast.

      The real problem was within your own family. Get the thought out quick or lose your turn to speak.

      It’s a NYC thing. We walk fast, think fast and talk fast. t’s cultural and that is that. It’s gone now. so don’t worry. Trump and his kids get it perfectly. On the other hand there is Obama, who sounds like George Carlin’s Hippy Dippy Weatherman.

      I understood everything he said just fine.
