Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/22/2016

Democrat representatives staged a sit-in on the House floor to protest the Republican leadership’s failure to bring a gun-control measure to a vote. Republican leaders cut off official video coverage, but CSPAN got around it by using live feeds from Periscope and Facebook. Political analysts blamed the cowardice of Republicans for the standoff.

In other standoff news, a standoff at the detention center of a Quebec courthouse ended without incident. Two male inmates attacked a female guard and took her hostage, but the incident was resolved when the two men surrendered.

Has China Reached Its Debt Limit?

Debt servicing in the private sector shows how far are the private sector of reaching their debt limit. We also see here, as in the majority of countries, that there exists a process of deleveraging. Households and businesses use significantly less amount of their incomes to pay off debts than in 2008.

Once again, China´s economy is the exception, with continuous leveraging which could be coming to an end. In turn, the economies of Japan and Germany have been in a continuous deleveraging process since 1999. The private sectors of all other countries were taking out credit in high volumes until the crisis of 2008 and repaid them afterwards without initiating new debt. Again, this leads us to conclude that a crisis resulting from a decrease in the extension of credit is unlikely, with the exception of China.

Coast Guard Says a Body Has Been Recovered From Sailboat Debris Field in Gulf of Mexico

Searchers with the U.S. Coast Guard recovered one body Wednesday afternoon from a debris field believed to be part of a 29-foot sailboat off Florida’s southwest coast, officials said at a news conference.

A spokesman at the briefing declined to identify the body and said searchers would continue to scour the Gulf of Mexico for three more missing family members, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported.

Earlier Wednesday, the Coast Guard tweeted that two kayaks that were being pulled by the sailboat were found as well. After the debris was spotted by air in the Gulf of Mexico, the Coast Guard contacted a nearby boater who collected several items and held them for a Coast Guard boat, Capt. Gregory Case said.

The tarp, water jugs, six life jackets and a propane tank were then identified by the brother of 45-year-old Ace Kimberly, who had been living on the sailboat with his children for a year.

Kimberly left Sarasota on Sunday with 13-year-old Roger, 15-year-old Donny and 17-year-old Rebecca to have the boat repaired in Fort Myers…

DOJ Replaces ‘Allah’ With ‘God’ In Edited Orlando Terrorist Transcript

Obama protecting Islam while attacking Christianity

The Justice Department replaced references to ‘Allah’ with ‘God’ in an edited transcript of the 911 call Orlando jihadi Omar Mateen made during the Pulse night club attack.

During the call, Omar Mateen made an Islamic prayer in which he said:

Praise be to Allah, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of Allah [in Arabic]. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.

In comparison, the edited DOJ transcript says:

Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God [in Arabic]. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.

It’s obvious the Obama administration is doing everything it can to downplay the Islamic connection to the attack, all while demonizing Christians and gun owners.

[Comment: All part of the plan to equate those “bitter gun clingers” and “bible thumpers” to islamic terrorists.]

‘Don’t Mess With Us, We Belong to ISIS’

5 men viciously assault restaurant patrons in Philly

Police in Philadelphia are scouring the area for five men caught on video at a local Geno’s Steaks assaulting two couples then fleeing in their pickup truck and SUV — but not before a witness allegedly heard them scream their allegiance to ISIS.

The assault, captured on a surveillance video that was described by police as “too graphic” to release to the public, occurred June 11. But investigators are still seeking the whereabouts of the suspects, along with the identity and location of a woman described by witnesses as a getaway driver, Philly.com reported. He told Philly.com he and his wife, Brooke Kane, had just left a wedding and after-hours nightclub with another couple and stopped at Geno’s for something to eat. While finishing their meal, his wife’s friend turned to a nearby group of people and asked for a cigarette, he said.

“That is when the guys just lost their minds,” said Kane, to the news outlet.

Kane said one of the men in the group stood and shoved his hand over the woman’s face and pushed her to the sidewalk.

“Don’t mess with us,” Kane said the man shouted, Philly.com reported. “We belong to ISIS.”

Guns: How the New York Times Manipulates Data

Liberal media won’t link to sources of their anti-gun “data.”

Last week, the New York Times featured its latest article implying that the United States has the highest homicide rates in the “developed” world — defining any other country with a higher homicide rate as somehow unfit for comparison to the United States.

This is a common tactic among gun control advocates who make claims such as “the US has the highest homicide rate of any developed country.” The qualifier “developed” is then manipulated to make the US seem like a freakish outlier. As I’ve explained here, this common tactic requires a lot of cherry picking of data and ignores the way that many American states — many of which have few gun control laws — have some of the world’s lowest homicide rates.

Nevertheless, the Times is back at it. In an article titled “Compare These Gun Death Rates: the US Is in A Different World” the authors Kevin Quealy and Margot Sanger-Katz carefully construct a model using per capita GDP data and gun homicide data to make the US appear all by itself in the world. Here’s the graph they’ve constructed:

Loretta Lynch Admits That Federal Authorities Have Lost the Orlando Shooter’s Wife

Noor Salman is missing

According to CNN, Federal investigators are trying to find out more specifically what Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman (profiled here), knew about the planned attack at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. The intent is to bring evidence before a federal grand jury to determine whether or not charges will be brought against Salman.

As US Attorney General Loretta Lynch said today, federal authorities are going back and looking at all of the contact with Omar Mateen, as well as those around him in order find out if there is anything that was missed.

However there is one rather large problem with one key person in the investigation, it appears that Noor Salman is missing and may not even be in the state of Florida anymore. In an interview the Sun Sentinel conducted with Seddique Mateen, the shooter’s father, Seddique said that Salman was “not around here.”

“If you’re looking for Noor, she’s not here. I cannot say where she’s gone, but she’s not around here.” Seddique said.

The Sentinel went on to report that while reporters were outside Seddique’s house, St. Lucie County sheriff’s deputies arrived, went into the house for a few minutes, and then left without comment.

And perhaps most disturbing of all, according to Breaking911 citing CNN, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch says that she doesn’t know if Salman has left the state or not.

Media Mislead About Mateen’s Motives

From Nidal Hasan, to the Boston Bombers, the Underwear bomber, the San Bernardinoshooting, and now Orlando, the perpetrators of these attacks have drunk from the same poisonous well of sharia-compliant jihadist ideology demanding death to the infidels. Many warnings were ignored or overlooked in these cases. It doesn’t matter whether these were lone wolf terrorists or ISIS-inspired: all of these attacks were carried out in the name of Islam. Obviously, the overwhelming majority of Muslims would never consider committing such an act, and are opposed to such actions.

But it is ludicrous to claim that these attacks have little or nothing to do with Islam, or come from a bastardization of that faith. After all, Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has a Ph.D. in Koranic studies from Iraq’s Saddam University for Islamic Studies. These attacks clearly originated from a jihadist interpretation of Islam.

‘Menstrual Equity’: Free Tampons for New York City Schools and Jails

New York City council voted unanimously on Tuesday for a series of measures to provide menstrual hygiene products free of charge in public schools, prisons and homeless shelters.

The bills are not yet law as Mayor Bill de Blasio needs to enact them, but he is a supporter, he says, “because tampons and pads aren’t luxuries — they’re necessities”.

The measures were sponsored and promoted by city councillor Julissa Ferrares-Copeland, who says “periods have been stigmatised for too long”.

She said she was happy to be known as the “period legislator”.

New Rule Lets Feds Hack Your Computer Anywhere,

A proposal that Washington bureaucrats be given nearly unfettered permission to hack into private computers, which WND reported earlier was being described as the ultimate “Big Brother” move, is drawing strong opposition from privacy activists and members of Congress.

“We’re in the midst right now of one of the biggest battles in the privacy world that we have faced,” said U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, on a website mobilizing opposition. “If we keep down this path, we’re going to wake up in a few years in George Orwell’s 1984. This is why, as we fight for security, any intrusion on privacy needs to be narrowly tailored and aggressively overseen.”

Obama’s Red/Green Cover-Up Begins to Unravel

Seven years into Barack Obama’s presidency, the scales may slowly be falling from the eyes of The New York Times. Could the truth about America’s red diaper baby President be starting to emerge?

In a story about papers of his reported father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., the Times said that President Obama has shown no interest in “the newly discovered documents, which included nearly two dozen of his father’s letters, his transcripts from the University of Hawaii and Harvard University, and references from professors, advisers and supporters.” The paper added, “Nearly three years later, as Mr. Obama celebrates his last Father’s Day in the White House, the center [the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem] is still waiting” for a response from the President as to whether he is interested in seeing the documents.

What accounts for this strange behavior from Obama? Could the lack of interest have something to do with the fact that the Kenyan is not Obama’s real father?

Based on the documents in the possession of the Schomburg Center, it appears that the Kenyan Obama didn’t even claim the future President as his son.

“It was while pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii in 1960 that Barack Obama Sr. met Ann Dunham, a classmate,” the Times said. “Although he already had a wife and two children in Kenya, he married her the following year, after she became pregnant. Their son was born on Aug. 4, 1961. But Barack Obama Sr. never mentioned his new wife and son, not even in his scholarship applications” (emphasis added).

There’s more: “In 1963, as he applied for a grant to help cover his graduate studies at Harvard, Barack Obama Sr. was asked on a financial aid form about his marital status and number of dependents. He left the section blank” (emphasis added).

Photo: Does Mark Zuckerberg Cover His Webcam With Tape?

Facebook CEO concerned over possible privacy violations

Examination of the photo shows tape covering the webcam and possibly the headphone input jack on the left side of the computer as well.

Although confirmation as to whether the laptop is indeed owned by Zuckerberg has yet to be determined, given the CEO’s prominence, such a move would be anything but surprising.

As the image went viral on Twitter though, many noted what they felt was hypocrisy given Facebook’s increasingly controversial stance towards privacy as the world’s largest social media site.

Similar statements were made last month after it was learned that the CEO was purchasing and demolishing 4 homes surrounding his in order to better protect his privacy.

Police Can Use Evidence Found During Illegal Stops, Supreme Court Rules

The U.S. Supreme Court today delivered a damaging blow to the Fourth Amendment “by making it even easier for law enforcement to evade its requirement that stops be based on reasonable suspicion,” as a New York Times editorial puts it.

Justices ruled 5 to 3 [PDF] that a police officer’s illegal stop of a man on the street should not prevent using against him any evidence obtained from a search connected to that stop.

In other words, “courts need not suppress evidence of a crime, even if it was obtained through an illegal stop,” reports Nina Totenberg at NPR:

Rebellious Democrats Disrupt House, Stage Protest Over Guns

WASHINGTON — Rebellious Democrats shut down the House’s legislative work on Wednesday, staging a sit-in on the House floor and refusing to leave until they secured a vote on gun control measures before lawmakers’ weeklong break.

Exasperated Republicans were forced to recess while cutting off cameras that showed the protest. But in an unprecedented step, C-SPAN used live video feeds from one lawmaker’s Periscope account and another’s Facebook page to transmit words and images from the House chamber.

More than 200 Democrats led by Georgia Rep. John Lewis demanded a vote on measures to expand background checks and block gun purchases by some suspected terrorists in the aftermath of last week’s massacre in Orlando, Florida, that killed 49 people in a gay nightclub.

“No bill, no break,” shouted Democrats, who demanded that Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., keep the House in session through its planned break next week to vote on gun legislation.

Democrats accused Republicans of political cowardice by failing to schedule a vote…

Southern Poverty Law Center in Bed With Extremists

Why is the FBI missing the extremists in our midst? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the organization consulted by the Department of Justice for information on extremists is in bed with them.

Evelyn Schlatter, the deputy director of research of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), was listed as a participant in the recent Left Forum conference, which featured an assortment of communists, 9/11 truthers, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel activists, and other extremists. Schlatter was described as an expert on “right-wing political and social movements, gender, and sexuality.”

Schlatter should have some knowledge of left-wing political movements, especially since she rubbed elbows with some of their followers at the conference. Indeed, these far-left extremists are allies of the SPLC, which works directly with and advises the Obama Justice Department on hate groups and extremism. The FBI is under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department.

In the case of the Orlando terrorist attack on a gay nightclub, the SPLC has been careful to avoid discussing in any significant detail the killer’s devotion to radical Islam, including his regular attendance at a Mosque and the presence of a Koran, a Palestinian book, and other Islamic paraphernalia in his apartment. Instead, an article on the SPLC website described Omar Mateen as simply “a 29-year-old American citizen who worked as a security guard and had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State before the attack.” The article focused on the reactions of a few members of the “racist right” to homosexuals being targeted in the attack.

Fred Fleitz, senior vice president for policy and programs with the Center for Security Policy, says his organization was named by the SPLC as a “hate group” precisely because of “our work highlighting the threat from radical Islam.”

The Big One? Large-Scale Motion Detected at San Andreas Fault: “the Build-Up is Causing Movement”

The big one is believed to be due every century or so along major fault lines — – and California is long overdue. Eventually, there is just too much built up pressure that must be released.

Although experts don’t know when a major earthquake may hit the San Andreas fault, they expect that it is simply inevitable and have warned for years about mitigating the disaster to come.

Sadly, few of those warnings have been heeded, and major destruction is likely to someday affect, directly or indirectly, most of the tens of millions of residents who live in or near Los Angeles and the surrounding area.

Here are some of the simulations of what they officially say could happen. In reality, the damage and the secondary effect on social order could have an even greater impact:

Trump Hammers Clinton Foreign Policy Record, Foundation Donations

Donald Trump delivered a blistering attack Wednesday on Hillary Clinton’s record as secretary of state, accusing the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee of milking oppressive regimes of tens of millions of dollars to benefit the Clinton Foundation — while sleeping through her own “3 a.m. phone call” as terrorists were murdering four Americans in Libya, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Speaking at his New York City hotel, Trump said Clinton “perfected the politics of personal profit” and “doesn’t have the temperament … or the judgment to be president.”

He specifically took her and Bill Clinton to task for taking millions from Saudi Arabia and other countries that criminalize homosexuality. Trump suggested Clinton as president would be influenced by all the lobbyists, CEOs and foreign governments who paid the Clintons to give speeches over the years.

“They totally own her and that will never, ever change,” he said.

Trump called her a “world-class liar” and said “God help us” if she’s elected president.

U.S. House Rejects Bill to Restore Fourth Amendment

Lawmakers voted “no” on preventing the government from forcing phone and computer companies to leave holes in their security

Only four days after a man previously under FBI surveillance carried out the worst massacre in recent years at an Orlando nightclub, U.S. lawmakers have once again rejected efforts to end warrantless government spying.

A bill proposed by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA, 19th) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY, 4th) to end warrantless surveillance was to be added to the $576 billion defense spending bill for 2017.

In addition to ending warrantless spying, the proposed bill would have made it illegal for the U.S. government to force software companies like Google and Apple to program “backdoors” in their products, thereby granting government agencies easier access to private user data.

The bill lost the House vote 198-222.

Interestingly enough, nearly identical amendments were previously proposed by Lofgren and Massie, and two of them actually passed in 2014 and 2015. But in both of these instances, the amendment failed to become official law.

What is the “Open Conspiracy?”

Today one never sees nor hears a serious discussion of this problem…

More than thirty years ago — in 1928, to be precise — H. G. Wells published a minor propagandistic novel called “The Open Conspiracy.”

Though I reviewed it at the time, I’ve forgotten now exactly what that open conspiracy was. But the description seems to fit with peculiar aptness something that is happening in the United States today. Our politicians, and most of our commentators, seem to be engaged in an open conspiracy not to pay the national debt-certainly not in dollars of the same purchasing power that were borrowed, and apparently not even in dollars of the present purchasing power.

There is of course no explicit avowal of this intention. The conspiracy is, rather, a conspiracy of silence. Very few of us even mention the problem of substantially reducing the national debt. The most that even the conservatives dare to ask for is that we stop piling up deficits so that we do not have to increase the debt and raise the debt ceiling still further. But anyone with a serious intention of eventually paying off the national debt would have to advocate overbalancing the budget, year in, year out, by a sizable annual sum.

Today one never sees nor hears a serious discussion of this problem. We see hundreds of articles and hear hundreds of speeches in which we are told how we can or should increase Federal expenditures or Federal tax revenues in proportion to the increase in our “gross national product.” But I have yet to see an article that discusses how we could begin and increase an annual repayment of the debt in proportion to the increase in our gross national product*

When we look at the dimensions the problem has now assumed, it is not difficult to understand the somber silence about it. If someone were to propose that the debt be paid off at an annual rate of $i billion a year, he would have to face the fact that at that rate it would take 289 years, or nearly three centuries, to get rid of it. Yet $1 billion a year is even now no trivial sum. Republican Administrations, after World War I, did succeed in maintaining something close to such a steady annual rate of reduction between 1919 and 1930; but they were under continual fire for such a “deflationary” policy. Because of such deflationary fears, one would hardly dare mention a higher rate today.

White House Denounces Senators as Cowards on Gun Control

White House Spox: “What we saw last night on the floor of the United States Senate was a shameful display of cowardice.”

The White House accused U.S. senators of sacrificing national security for their political ambitions on Tuesday, a day after four gun control measures failed to advance after the nation’s largest mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, last week.

“What we saw last night on the floor of the United States Senate was a shameful display of cowardice,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on MSNBC.

Earnest said the bills put forth for votes on Monday evening should have drawn strong bipartisan support aimed at shoring up the country’s defenses by keeping firearms away from people on terrorism watch lists.

[Comment: Sour grapes by pupet Obama’s adminstration. Senators did their job upholding the constitution — the same document gloablists hate with a vengeance. Globalists wanted this so they could put patriotic constitutionalists and army veteran on the terror list for “sedition”.]

Billionaires & Globalists vs. The People — As Brexit D-Day Vote Looms

The Bilderberg-CFR-Trilateral elites are bringing all hands on deck to stop Britons from voting to leave the EU, in the June 23 Brexit referendum.

Rothschild, Soros, Bloomberg, Branson, Ka-Shing, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, Carlyle Group — the banking behemoths and business titans are turning out in force in the final hours of the countdown to one of the most momentous votes in decades, if not of the past century.

The Bilderberg-CFR-Trilateral elites are bringing all hands on deck to stop Britons from voting to leave the EU, in the June 23 Brexit referendum. With trillions of dollars at stake, not to mention decades of scheming to concentrate political power, the organized globalists are pulling out all stops in a final desperate push to frighten British voters away from reclaiming sovereignty and control over their own lives, their own finances, and their own borders. It’s known in England as “Project Fear” (see here and here), and Prime Minister David Cameron and his uber-rich “world order” backers have ratcheted it up to “full terror” mode for the final stretch of the race.

The stepped-up propaganda campaign to kill the Brexit vote came directly on the heels of the 64th meeting of ultra-secretive Bilderberg Group, which took place June 9-12 at the luxurious Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, Germany. Helping kick off the final installment of “Project Fear” was a June 14 column by Martin Wolf in the Financial Times entitled, “Brexit imperils the confidence of strangers.”

The EU Even Tries to Control the Volume at Which We Listen to Music

Joyless Brussels bureaucracy regulates every aspect of our lives

EU regulations are becoming so invasive that the unelected bureaucracy even tries to control the volume at which European citizens can listen to music on their iPhone.

Political commentator Old Holborn drew attention to the little-known issue earlier today, sardonically tweeting, “The EU is not intrusive in the minutiae of our daily lives.”

Viewing the “music” option in the settings of an iPhone sold in the European Union leads to an “EU Volume Limit” that encourages users to set the volume “to the European Union recommended level.”

The setting is derived from a 2008 European Commission directive that led to the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation demanding that all phones and personal music players sold in the EU had a default sound limit of 85dB.

Lightning Kills 74 People in India

Lightning has killed 74 people, mostly farm laborers working in fields, across eastern and northern India over the past 24 hours, officials said Wednesday.

A majority of the deaths occurred in the eastern state of Bihar, where 57 people died after being struck by lightning, a state official said. At least 24 others were injured when thunderstorms and monsoon rains lashed 14 districts of the state.

Ten people were killed by lightning in neighboring Jharkhand state, six in northern Uttar Pradesh state, and another in Maharashtra, police said.

Bihar disaster management official Vyasji said scores of cattle also perished in the state after being struck by lightning.

The dead included at least eight shepherds watching their sheep, said Vyasji, who uses only one name. He told reporters that he expected the death toll to go up as reports come in from remote districts of the state.

Lightning strikes are common during India’s monsoon season, which runs from June to September. However, the recent toll is unusually high…

Pakistan Sufi Singer Amjad Sabri Shot Dead in Karachi

One of Pakistan’s most famous singers, Amjad Sabri, has been shot dead in the southern city of Karachi.

Two gunmen fired on his car in the busy Liaqatabad area, police said. Sabri died on his way to hospital.

The Pakistani Taliban has told the BBC it carried out the attack.

Sabri was a leading exponent of Sufi devotional music, known as Qawwali. Sufism, a tolerant, mystical practice of Islam, has millions of followers in Pakistan but is opposed by extremists.

The Taliban, who view Sufism as heretical, have been blamed for previous assaults on targets linked to Sufi Islam.

Rice Grown in Nuclear Polluted Fukushima to be Sold in Britain

As if proof were needed that the government cares little for the health of British citizens one only has to read this to think what is the point of public health services when food tainted with nuclear waste enters the food chain with the sanction of politicians and their agencies.

This article appeared in The Japan Times June 19th headlined “Fukushima rice set to make first EU foray with debut in Britain”

Fukushima-harvested rice will hit the stores in Britain in July, which might make it the first member of the EU to import the grain, following a sustained effort by a group of Fukushima natives in London fighting rumors about the safety of the crop.

It is also the third nation, after Singapore and Malaysia, to import Fukushima rice since the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami caused three reactor meltdowns at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant. Starting next month, 1.9 tons of Fukushima rice called Ten no Tsubu will be sold in London. A Fukushima branch of National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations, a Japanese farmers group better known as Zen-Noh, will export the rice via a British trading company.

“With the U.K. as a foothold, we hope to expand the sale of prefecture-produced rice to other EU member countries,” said Nobuo Ohashi, who heads the Fukushima branch of Zen-Noh.

Proposals to Curb Online Speech Viewed as Threat to Open Internet

Report warns of dangers for global internet, including intrusive surveillance, rising cybercrime and fragmentation

At least a dozen countries are considering or have enacted laws restricting online speech, a trend that is alarming policymakers and others who see the internet as a valuable medium for debate and expression.

Such curbs are called out as a threat to the open internet in a report on internet governance set to be released today at an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development meeting in Cancun, Mexico.

The report, reviewed by Reuters, warns of dangers for the global internet, including intrusive surveillance, rising cybercrime and fragmentation as governments exert control of online content.

It was prepared by the London-based Chatham House think tank and the Centre for International Governance Innovation, founded by former BlackBerry Ltd co-chief Jim Balsillie.

[Comment: Chatham house also known as the Royal Institute for International Affairs was establised in 1919. RIIA was formed alongside the American Council for Foreign Relations in the wake of WW1. Chatham House had grown out of the “Round Table” groups that had been instigated at the wish of Cecil Rhodes. UK’s version of the CFR (Council Of Foreign Relations). UN Running Refugee Invasion in America

The European migrant crisis is coming to towns across the US

Rob Dew breaks down how the United Nations is orchestrating the refugee crisis in order to destroy the west.

[Comment: Watch the video. Western nations signed an agreement to take in refugees. Loophole is that the UN decides who is a refugee.]

Corrupt Communist Leads Race for UN Boss

The next United Nations chief may be an unapologetic communist who served a savage dictatorship that murdered hundreds of thousands of people and tortured even more.

Her name is Irina Bokova (shown). And thanks to a slick public-relations operation and a team of “former” communist spies running her campaign, there is reportedly a good chance that the Bulgarian Communist Party operative could end up as UN boss in 2017 when current Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s term expires.

Bokova currently serves as the chief of the UN “Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization” (UNESCO). But her long career in the service of both internationalism and communism suggests that she has been plotting to move up the UN hierarchy for years. Bokova’s candidacy has backing from top establishment figures in the West, in addition to strong support from key leaders of the East such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin. Establishment media outlets around the world have also been singing her praises while concealing her past. Indeed, Bokova and those backing her should not be underestimated.

Bokova the Communist

Growing up in Bulgaria prior to 1990 was hellish for most people. To get an idea of the atrocities committed by the Soviet puppet regime in Bulgaria, a look at the number of murders it perpetrated is illuminating…

Despite the fact that the atrocities were well known across Bulgaria, Bokova has a long history of support for communism, the communist party, and its agenda. To start with, she was an enthusiastic youth member of the Bulgarian Communist Party. She later became an adult member and even served in various capacities within the brutal dictatorship.

As a pampered child of the ruling communist elite, Bokova was able to study in Moscow at the mass-murdering Soviet regime’s “prestigious” State Institute of International Relations, which trained future diplomats for international communism…

As mentioned above, both the Obama administration and the Kremlin reportedly support her candidacy. They also helped her secure her current post as head of UNESCO. There are several high-ranking officials in Washington, D.C., including U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who are said to be very cozy with the communist operative. Former Democrat New Mexico Governor and UN Ambassador Bill Richardson in the United States has also emerged as a powerful cheerleader for Bokova. The brutal communist dictatorship in Beijing also reportedly would support the Bokova candidacy, as would the Socialist Party-controlled French government.

The Threat of Communists in the UN

What does Bokova’s candidacy mean for the United States, for Bulgaria, and for the world? A great deal.

For one, the candidacy shows clearly that the alleged “transition” from communism in Bulgaria was not all it was cracked up to be. But it may be even worse than it seems on the surface. Despite the ostensible collapse of communist slavery in Eastern Europe, the criminals and mass murderers, in many cases, remain at large and, as in Bulgaria, are now often in positions of power at the national or even regional level in Brussels

[Comment: Read. It. All. The globalists dream of a Commmunist New World Order is being built. All the puppet communist politicians are being placed in strategic positions. Note that the communists murders are still running the show in Bulgaria.]

Socialism’s One-Percenters

Stalin was the wealthiest man in the world during his time

A defining characteristic of socialism in all its forms in all places and at all times is a relatively small political elite (and its “private sector” cronies) that lives lavishly by plundering its population, destroying its economy, imposing a regime of equality of poverty and misery; and turning almost everyone into a dependent on the state for survival.

Joseph Stalin was the wealthiest man in the world during his time, not the Rockefellers, Morgans, or anyone else, as the de facto “owner” of the entire Soviet Union. African and Latin American socialist political thugs in the “post-colonial era” have long been notorious for becoming millionaires or billionaires, with Swiss bank accounts galore, while their people starved and begged them for subsistence. Socialism’s one percenters make today’s Wall Street plutocrats seem impoverished by comparison.

The latest glaring example of the disgusting and immoral corruption of socialism’s one percenters is Venezuela, a country that has “long been the darling of the [socialist] Left,” according to a June 16 article in the Daily Mail. The article, authored by Jake Wallis Simons, has the headline: “Super-rich socialists quaff champagne in Venezuelan country clubs while middle-class mothers scavenge for food in the gutter … even the dogs are starving.”

Why Boundaries and National Self-Determination Matters

The whole point of national self-determination is to get top-down coercive power out of the picture

National boundaries are only just insofar as they are based on voluntary consent and the property rights of their members or citizens. Just national boundaries are, then, at best derivative and not primary: How much more is this true of existing State boundaries which are, in greater or lesser degree, based on coercive expropriation of private property; or on a mixture of that with voluntary consent! In practice, the way to have such national boundaries as just as possible is to preserve and cherish the right of secession, the right of different regions, groups, or ethnic nationalities to get the blazes out of the larger entity; to set up their own independent nation. Only by boldly asserting the right of secession can the concept of national self-determination be anything more than a sham and a hoax.

But wasn’t the Wilsonian attempt to impose national self-determination and draw the map of Europe a disaster? And how! But the disaster was inevitable even assuming (incorrectly) good will on the part of Wilson and the Allies and ignoring the fact that national self-determination was a mask for their imperial ambitions. For by its nature, national self-determination cannot be imposed from without, by a foreign government entity be it the United States or some world League.

The whole point of national self-determination is to get top-down coercive power out of the picture and, for the use of force to devolve from the larger entity to more genuine natural and voluntary national entities. In short, to devolve power from the top downward.

  1. Apple restricts the volume settings of all iPhones to the EU Volume Limit by capping the upper setting in updates to the operating system. I became aware of the EU Volume Limit when I purchased a plug in laser pointer for my iPhone (plugs into the earphone socket). The associated app noted it required the volume to be set to max to power the laser and would not work on EU phones because of the mandated limit there. It worked on my Antipodean phone for several months then ceased working following an OS update.

  2. Re: “African Union plans to introduce single passport”. There may be (probably are) all kinds of reasons why this is a bad idea, JD, but an assault on Christanity?!?
