Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/3/2016

A fourth devastating fire at an Orthodox religious structure has been reported, this one in an historic building at the Valaam monastery in northern Russia. Like the other three — one in Manhattan and two in Australia — the fire at the monastery occurred after services on Orthodox Easter.

In other news, the number of unaccompanied children claiming asylum in Europe last year quadrupled to almost 90,000.

A New Digital Cash System Was Just Unveiled at a Secret Meeting for Bankers in New York

The potential for tyranny would be absolutely off the charts.

Last month, a “secret meeting” that involved more than 100 executives from some of the biggest financial institutions in the United States was held in New York City.

During this “secret meeting”, a company known as “Chain” unveiled a technology that transforms U.S. dollars into “pure digital assets”. Reportedly, there were representatives from Nasdaq, Citigroup, Visa, Fidelity, Fiserv and Pfizer in the room, and Chain also claims to be partnering with Capital One, State Street, and First Data. This “revolutionary” technology is intended to completely change the way that we use money, and it would represent a major step toward a cashless society. But if this new digital cash system is going to be so good for society, why was it unveiled during a secret meeting for Wall Street bankers? Is there something more going on here than we are being told?

None of us probably would have ever heard about this secret meeting if it was not for a report in Bloomberg. The following comes from their article entitled “Inside the Secret Meeting Where Wall Street Tested Digital Cash”…

[…]

In addition, the potential for tyranny would be absolutely off the charts.

Just imagine a world where the government could serve as the gatekeeper for who is allowed to use the cashless system and who is not. They could require that we all submit to some sort of government-issued form of identification before being permitted to operate within the system, or it is even conceivable that a loyalty oath would be required.

Of course if you did not submit to their demands, you could not buy, sell, open a bank account or get a job without access to the cashless system.

Hopefully people can understand where this is going. Paper money is a very important component of our freedom, and if it is taken away from us that will open the door for all sorts of abuse.

Warren Buffett Warns He’d Take His Money Out of the Banks in Subzero Interest Rate Environment

Subzero interest rates may not arrive in the United States with rampant price inflation looming in the background. But if they do become implemented by the Federal Reserve, one iconic billionaire investor is warning to take your money out of the banks and place it under the mattress.

Speaking in an interview with CNBC on Monday, Warren Buffett said he would take his money out of the banks if customers are charged money on deposits.

ABC’s ‘Quantico’/ American Terrorist Cell Shouts ‘Make America Great Again’ Before Attack

An American militia cell shouted the GOP presidential hopeful’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” before an attack in Chicago.

ABC thriller Quantico took a shot at Donald Trump in Sunday night’s episode, when it was revealed that an American militia cell shouted the GOP presidential hopeful’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” before an attack in Chicago.

Fans of the show took to social media to congratulate the show’s writers for the dig:…

But not everyone was impressed.

“Could they be any more predictable? Apparently, ‘Make America Great Again’ is the equivalent of ‘Allahu Akbar,’ in Hollywood’s minds,” writes Media Research Center’s Erik Soderstrom.

Bill ‘To Shut Down Most Gun Shops’ Drafted in Illinois House

Legislation “to shut down most gun shops” in Illinois is expected to come up for a vote in the state House this week.

The bill, which has yet to be named, would require gun stores to acquire a license from the state even though stores already operate under the auspices of a Federal Firearm License holder (FFL).

To acquire and maintain the license, gun stores would be required to install surveillance equipment sufficient to video tape all gun sales and transactions, to “install state-of-the-art vaults and alarms in their shops,” “to fill out stacks of new forms and keep reams of paper records covering your firearm purchases,” and to allow the Chicago Police Department to “inspect and audit any gun shop in the state at any time.”

The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) warns that the vault and alarm requirement alone could cost each gun store “$2 million.” Those that could not afford it, would be forced to close up shop.

Insults Fly in GOP Race as Cruz Hits ‘Amoral’ Trump, Front-Runner Cites Tabloid Story

Even by 2016 campaign standards, the war of words that broke out Tuesday between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump was a new level of nasty.

In a rapid-fire exchange of insults that escalated as voters went to the polls in Indiana’s presidential primary, Texas Sen. Cruz unleashed on the Republican front-runner, calling him “utterly amoral,” a narcissist and a “pathological liar” — after earlier suggesting Trump also harbors “contempt” for Christians.

The fusillade of put-downs was delivered after Trump, speaking on Fox News, invoked a tabloid report claiming his rival’s father, Rafael Cruz, showed up in a 1963 photograph with John F. Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald.

Judge Orders Mother’s Child to be Snatched Because She Believes in “Chemtrails”

A judge in Colorado ordered a mother’s child to be removed from her custody because the mother’s interest in “chemtrails” was a “fringe subculture” and represented a threat to her daughter.

Boulder Judge Dolores Mallard told Becca Vandb that her interest in the chemtrail conspiracy — which holds that some contrails emitted by commercial and military aircraft are in fact part of clandestine geoengineering programs — – was a radical view because “99% of people would know those are just contrails.”

Vandb said that the inquiry was triggered after she raised the subject of chemtrails during a visit to her daughter’s school and was immediately told to leave the premises.

“I can now only see my daughter with a social security worker standing over me taking notes, and the judge said this was so that if I mention chemtrails they would put a stop to that. I am being railroaded for expressing my views about chemtrails,” wrote Vandb, adding that she had not received any CPS visits nor were there any allegations of child abuse made by the court or her daughter’s school.

According to Judge Mallard, Vandb being “immersed in a fringe subculture” means “she is a danger to her daughter.”

“The school helped him take away custody because I had the gall to argue with them when they severely embellished my comments (made to adults only) about chemtrails,” Vandb told YourNewsWire.

Vandb’s Facebook page features numerous posts about chemtrails and other conspiracies.

Whether you believe in the reality of chemtrails or not, the notion that the state can order someone’s child to be seized because of their private beliefs — – with no evidence whatsoever of actual child abuse — is chilling.

What’s next? Taking people’s kids because they don’t agree with the “consensus” on man-made global warming?

Last year we reported on the Naughler family, who had their 10 children seized by police because of concerns over their off-grid, traditional lifestyle.

We also previously highlighted the case of a father who was harassed by Child Protective Services because he chose to only give his children organic food and refused to let them drink unfiltered tap water.

Allowing the state to characterize holding certain harmless beliefs or living completely legal lifestyles as a form of child abuse is an incredibly dangerous precedent and should be opposed at every turn.

Pamela Geller: In the Year Since the First Islamic State Attack on American Soil, These Muslims Confirmed ‘The War Has Just Begun’

Today is the first anniversary of the Islamic State’s first attack in the homeland.

Just a couple of short months later, in response to the Chattanooga jihadi who slaughtered four Marines, one Navy officer said: “The War Has Just Begun. More to Come.”

He was right. Yet one year after jihadis attacked our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in defense of free speech, the West is in full surrender mode. In the wake of the Garland jihad attacks, the world says: let the bullies silence you. Don’t draw Muhammad. Comply with their other demands.

Garland changed everything for my colleagues and me. Its personal toll has been enormous. It has affected our lives and our careers in innumerable ways, all of them negative. Our security costs are now astronomical. We cannot step outside without remembering that we are hunted, and at any time jihadis could strike at us.

Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hijacked Metrobus in D.C., Police Say

Authorities say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrobus that was hijacked Tuesday morning in Northeast Washington.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said a man was taken into custody at a gas station when the bus was stopped. The pedestrian who was killed was not immediately identified. She said the suspect was “violent and resistant.”

The entire incident was less than three minutes, she said.

Lanier described the event as bizarre, saying it was rare occurrence for someone to take a bus and attack the driver. It was not immediately clear what weapon was used in the attack.

The bus driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but there were no injuries to passengers, according to Metro Transit Police…

This Ancient Laptop is the Only Key to the Most Valuable Supercars on the Planet

This is a Compaq LTE 5280 laptop from the early 1990s, running a bespoke CA card. In 2016, McLaren Automotive-one of the most high-tech car and technology companies on the planet-still uses it and its DOS-based software to service the remaining hundred McLaren F1s out there, each valued at $10 million or more…

Why is McLaren spending thousands of pounds on a specific version of the LTE 5280 laptop, a piece of ancient history you could otherwise grab on eBay for a few hundred bucks?

“The reason we need those specific Compaq laptops is that they run a bespoke CA card which is installs into them,” a fellow from MSO told me. “The CA card is an interface between the laptop software (which is DOS based) and the car.”

He added: “We are currently working on an new interface which will be compatible with modern laptops as they old Compaqs are getting less and less reliable and harder to find.”

On Monday, an emotional unemployed coal miner by the name of Bo Copley confronted Clinton on her promise, asking how she could claim to be friends of the coal miners while also putting them out of jobs.

“I don’t know how to explain it other than what I said was totally out of context for what I meant because I have been talking about helping coal country for a very long time,” she replied. “It was a misstatement because what I was saying is the way things are going now, they will continue to lose jobs. It didn’t mean that we were going to do it. What I said is that is going to happen unless we take action to help and prevent it.”

    I do not believe that.

Muslims from Bosnia and Kosovo would love to have destroyed the beautiful Serbian church…because they SIMPLY have hated Serbs since they defeated the Turks in WWI and those two groups could no longer treat the Serbs ( or the Croats) as second class citizens and get all that lovely Jigzah tax from them.

I do not believe the candles started the fire. They are bee’s wax and not large or thick. They are placed in a water bucket after being taken from the sand trays where they sit in front of Icons. The sand is sifted ( we uses a kitty box slotted scoop) and then the melted wax bits are also dumped in the water bucket. The candles and pieces of wax are later melted and by a sorting process they are reformed into candles.
Other candles are in glass candle holders.. They would be white wax .

I think somebody could have set times incendiaries and gained access to the church in the midst of the huge crowds at service and at the luncheon. I hope there may be ccc-tv units saved .

    • Thanks for the information. Islam’s representatives do minor damage to their own places and claim it was done by infidels. I went through an annual report by the OIC – unlike Americans, they knew what Gates of Vienna was so they actually named us in one of their annuals (2010, I think). I slogged through all their reports of “terrorism” against their mosques for the year – there were hundreds – and without exception they were things like painted slogans, pork on the steps near the door, damaged swing sets, etc. In other words, no real damage, just propaganda.

    • I was in that beautiful and solemn church a few years ago at a talk given by Serge Trifkovic. There was a bust of Tesla near the entrance -hope it survived. I’m not a great believer in coincidence with four such fires occurring at the same time.

    • Looks staged. One cannot walk for long with the hooded garment like that. It needs to be tied at the front.

I seriously doubt that any muslim man would have his hand on his “wife” like that in public, unless he thinks she might try to escape from him.

      • I think, they only walk off one bus for photo session, and then go on the next bus.

All of them, here, young males, likely, strong enough to carry at least one child for some time. The woman seems to be carrying two.

    • On a third look that might not be the man’s hand on her right side… it may be the baby’s leg. but why isn’t he helping carry the baby-backpack??? Oh, never mind…. she IS the pack animal.

      • Opening the image and zooming in in Photoshop confirms the appendage is the child’s leg. The boy is wearing blue elastic cuffed trousers and boots which may have a cartoon character on their top. The woman is also carrying a Red Cross package that any one of the men could have at least carried. But, like you said, SHE is the pack horse – and the only barefoot member of the entire group.

  2. New ottoman sultan
    supports fired islamist in Sweden

As there are no borders in the caliphate, the sultan is perfectly entitled to announce his opinions about how Sweden is run.

Again, islam has been a “victim of islamophobia”, according to sultan’s speech on Wednesday, about how muslims are treated in the West.

    – Just look what happened to a muslim who had reached a position as minister in Sweden!

As a sultan, of course, he should have been consulted, and of course, no non-muslim should be allowed to push an islamist from this power position as a minister.

Firing of TurkishMehment Kaplan was big news in Turkey. Kaplan held a position as minister of housing in Sweden.

Kaplan came to Sweden at the age of one. At such a young age, an individual should have plenty of time to adjust to his new country in the West, but the ties to Turkey, or, rather the caliphate to be, seem to have been much stronger than those to Sweden.

Once the religion of infiltration has reached such a position in a Western state, it should not, ever, be forced to let go of it. The plan is to gain and keep the power.

In 2010, Kaplan as one of the activists of the convoi Ship to Gaza, was arrested by the Israeli army.

    • – So, then why can’t erDOGan take his lap dog home?
