More than a hundred police officers staged a demonstration in Calais about the deteriorating situation concerning illegal immigrants. They were protesting a lack of police resources and the presence of cop-hating leftist activists who interfere with their efforts to control crime in “The Jungle” migrant camp.
In other news, a man who became belligerent and lunged at a police officer was shot dead by other policemen in midtown Manhattan early this morning.

Canada: Deficits Could Total Almost $200 Billion Over Next Five Years
TORONTO-The federal government’s plan to run $113.2 billion in deficits over the next five years is premised on unrealistic assumptions regarding future spending restraint, which will likely result in much larger deficits and debt accumulation, finds a new study released today by the Fraser Institute, an independent, non-partisan Canadian public policy think-tank.
“The federal government’s five-year deficit could reach nearly $200 billion when more realistic assumptions about future growth in federal spending are included,” said Niels Veldhuis, president of the Fraser Institute and co-author of Moving Targets: Re-estimating Federal Deficits and Debt-to-GDP through 2020/21.

And dozens of staff directed to exit told ‘we were hasty, can you hang on for longer?’
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring temps to cover gaps caused by the exit of hundreds of techies it recently axed, some of whom provided services to clients including the Department for Work and Pensions.
This is according to multiple insiders, who told us the picture might have been worse had HPE not halted some of the job cuts before the end of last month when certain staff were given an 11th-hour reprieve.
HPE Enterprise Services sources said senior staff were waking up to the reality of what employing fewer heads in IT Outsourcing and Application Business Services meant for contract delivery.
“Now HPE is recruiting contractors to back-fill work that was done by people who left at the end of April. The Regional Delivery Centres (RDC) don’t have the people or the skills. This is a triumph of dogma over practicality,” our contact claimed.

In America today, many people have taken on more than one job in a desperate attempt to make ends meet, but they still come up short at the end of the month. Anti-Trump Teacher Gets Owned by Student
A high school student destroyed an anti-Trump rant by a government teacher which relied on straw man arguments against the GOP nominee.
Jacob Kassuba, a senior at Mt. Pleasant H.S. in Michigan, responded to the letter written by social studies instructor Nick Gregory that was published in the Huffington Post.
“Mr. Trump, at worst your popularity is a cruel reminder that many of our neighbors and friends have xenophobic leanings and a worldview skewed by sexism and bigotry,” Gregory proclaimed. “At best, your entertainment value has clouded the judgment of too many voters.”
“Regardless, for my curious students, you are their first living lesson on the perils of populist racism.”

I am a high school senior who will be graduating within two weeks.

Black Iowa Student Starts Fight, Loses, Makes Up Hate Crime, Gets Caught
“How many black students must be a victim of a hate crime before an alert is sent out,” one student complained online at the time.
But after a two-week investigation, Iowa City police have concluded, after interviewing witnesses and viewing surveillance footage, that no hate crime occurred at all, and that Owens’ account of his injuries was almost completely false.
In Owens’ account, he arrived at the Eden Lounge, an Iowa City bar, around 9 p.m., stepped out for a phone call around 10 p.m., and was then attacked.
But footage, which was released by police, shows a very different series of events. The footage shows Owens entered the bar close to midnight, and then getting involved in a massive bar melee around 1:35 a.m. He was kicked out of the bar, and then proceeded to get in two additional fights within the next 10 minutes. In all of the fights Owens is acting aggressively and throwing punches, and police say he appears to have been the instigator in at least one of the fights.

Fox News Poll: Trump Tops Clinton, Both Seen as Deeply Flawed Candidates
Donald Trump tops Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup, according to a new Fox News Poll that also finds majorities of voters feel both frontrunners lack strong moral values and will say anything to get elected.
Trump has a 45-42 percent edge over Clinton, if the presidential election were held today. That’s within the poll’s margin of sampling error. Last month, Clinton was up by 48-41 percent (April 2016).

Hate Crime Turns Out to be Death by Marijuana
So marijuana is harmless and doesn’t kill people? Consider the case of black Muslim teenager Hamza Warsame, who took a toke and plunged to his death. His friends from the hood blamed it on a non-existent white man who allegedly pushed the kid to his death.
The headline in last December’s New York Times story was certainly ominous: “Assertions of Hate Crime in Seattle After a Somali-American Teenager Falls to His Death.” The paper said, “The death of the boy, Hamza Warsame, has prompted outrage among members of the Muslim community here, amid assertions-it is not clear from whom-that he was beaten and pushed to his death by a white man.”
Notice how a “white man” was blamed, despite the complete lack of evidence. Where did the allegations come from? The Times seemed not to know.
We now know that the black Muslim teen, a student at Seattle Central College, died from a fall after smoking dope for the first time. In fact, “relatively high levels” of tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive constituent in marijuana, were found in Warsame’s system, The Seattle Times reported. It said that after smoking the legal dope on a smoking device called a bong, the teen “started talking in agitation about his religion and how he might have put himself in bad standing,” and then said he “needed air.” The Muslim youth “opened the door and was off the balcony before his schoolmate could react,” a report found.

Police Shoot Man With Knife in Midtown Manhattan
First responders have descended on the scene of a deadly police-involved shooting in midtown Manhattan.
A knife-wielding man was shot and killed by an NYPD officer, according to Chief of Dept. James O’Neill.
The 46-year-old suspect went into a Food Emporium at about 8:20 a.m. to buy beer and became belligerent with the cashier.
A witness alerted a nearby police officer who confronted the suspect.
A struggle ensued and both fell to the street.
The male suspect then took out an eight-inch knife and was ordered to drop it by two other responding officers. The suspect lunged at the officer with the knife before the officers opened fire, said Chief of Dept. James O’Neill.
Nine shots were fired. The suspect was killed…

Why Bill Clinton’s 26 Trips on the Lolita Express Child Rape Jet Matter
We don’t know what Bill Clinton did or didn’t do in company with Jeffrey Epstein. But we certainly know what Epstein did and, almost as outrageously, what he got away with doing.
Some of the most shocking allegations against Epstein surfaced only after the conclusion of an FBI probe, in civil suits brought by his victims: for example, the claim that three 12-year-old French girls were delivered to him as a birthday present. But the feds did identify roughly 40 young women, most of them underage at the time, who described being lured to Epstein’s Palm Beach home on the pretense of giving a “massage” for money, then pressured into various sex acts, as well as the “Balkan sex slave” Epstein allegedly boasted of purchasing from her family when she was just 14. More recently, a big cash payment from Mail on Sunday coaxed one of Epstein’s main accusers out of anonymity to describe what she claims were her years as a teenage sex toy. This victim, Virginia Roberts, produced a photo of herself with Prince Andrew in 2001 and reported that Epstein paid her $15,000 to meet the prince. Then 17 years old, she claims that she was abused by Epstein and “loaned” to his friends from the age of 15.
Sex crimes of the kind Roberts alleges took place typically carry a term of 10 to 20 years in federal prison. Yet when all was said and done, Epstein served his scant year-plus-one-month in a private wing of the Palm Beach jail and was granted a 16-hour-per-day free pass to leave the premises for work.
In short, Epstein was never actually in jail. During his “house arrest,” he flew around the country on his jets from his New York City place to his private island. At least one of Epstein’s victims claimed to have met Bill Clinton. And it turns out that Bill Clinton was a much more regular passenger on the Lolita Express.

Why Don’t Republicans Name the Enemy?
In the Wall Street Journal last week, two influential billionaires — former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a very moderate Republican, and Charles G. Koch, the libertarian chairman and CEO of Koch Industries Inc. — wrote an op-ed piece decrying the suppression of free speech taking place at universities across America.
You have to salute their good intentions. But as well-intentioned and accurate as their critique is, the Bloomberg-Koch column is largely useless.
Why? Because they assiduously avoid identifying who or what acts are causing our universities to mimic fascist institutions, namely: ruining dissenters’ careers; penalizing dissenting students; not hiring dissenting professors; disinviting the few invited speakers with whom the majority differs; shouting down dissenting speakers; students and faculty occupying and taking over college administrators’ offices, etc.
The Bloomberg-Koch column is like going to your doctor and getting back a fully accurate report that you are dying that doesn’t even hint at why you are dying.
Why don’t Bloomberg and Koch mention the words “left” or “progressive” or “liberal” even once? The entire deterioration of the American university (and high school and elementary school) is the result of leftist influence. How could they not mention this?

Wife Watches as Husband is Stabbed Inside Golden Home
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) — Two people have been arrested after a home invasion and stabbing in Golden. The victims are middle school teachers and investigators say it seems the criminals targeted the wrong house.
The crime happened on Monday night at a married couple’s home near 19th Street and Washington Avenue. Neighbors told CBS4 the Jesse and Jessica Swift and their family live in the home.
Police said the incident started when the couple heard a knock at the door about 9 p.m. Monday. Jessica Swift opened the door and three men forced their way in.
Jesse Swift tried to fight off one of the suspects and was able to grab a knife from the kitchen and stabbed one of the suspects. While fighting back, he was stabbed and critically hurt.
Jesse Swift suffered stab wounds to his kidney. He also suffered a punctured lung and several other lacerations. Fortunately, he is expected to survive…

Lessons From Sweden and Germany
Northern European countries have lavishly subsidized wind and solar electricity generation for years and now we are seeing the results. In Sweden, the lavish subsidies might be coming to an end, so wind turbine owners are dismantling the turbines and selling them abroad, while in Germany, large amounts of wind power are stressing the electrical grid. Their experiences offer the US real-life information about renewable energy, but the real question is whether the U.S. will learn from these examples.
In order for power grids to function properly, demand for electricity must match its production, which is a problem for wind and solar power, since their output cannot be accurately predicted in advance or easily adjusted. Wind and solar can burn out the grid if they produce too much, or not enough, electricity, leading to brownouts or blackouts. Germany’s grid has already been damaged from relying too much on solar and wind power. Since wind and solar power are dependent on the wind blowing and the sun shining, they also may not produce enough electricity, requiring grid operators to have excess conventional power reserves running that they can easily apply to meet demand.
Germany paid wind farms $548 million last year to cut their power in order to prevent damage to its electric grid. Because of the damaging effects renewable energy has had on Germany’s grid, the government plans to cap the total amount of wind energy at 40 to 45 percent of national capacity, forcing the country to get rid of 6,000 megawatts of wind power capacity by 2019. The German government expects to spend more than $1.1 trillion on wind power, even though building wind turbines has not achieved the government’s goal of actually reducing carbon dioxide emissions.[iv] In fact, a greater percentage of Germany’s electricity is produced from coal than the United States.

A new report from researchers and police in Sweden has revealed a huge increase of crimes and assaults carried out on paramedics, fire-fighters and police.
Swedish police have been attacked in 14 so-called ‘no-go zones’ with knives and hand grenades, and are bracing for more violence this summer.

Norway Man Who Joined ISIS: ‘It Was Contrary to Islam’
A 23-year-old man who joined Isis in Syria told an Oslo court on Wednesday that what he witnessed there went against his views of Islam.
The 23-year-old, a Chechen living in Oslo, is on trial for making a terror pact with a 46-year-old Norwegian-Pakistani man. The man said he would not tell the Oslo District Court on Wednesday exactly what it was he had seen that made him want to leave Syria unless the court granted his request to hold parts of his testimony behind closed doors.
His lawyer Svein Holden lamented the fact that the request was denied.
“That means that the court will not get to hear about this incident nor about what he said to the Isis leaders to be allowed to leave. He will only give testimony about these two things behind closed doors,” said Holden.
The 23-year-old said that the incident was something he observed on a motorcycle ride along with an 18-year-old Isis recruit.
“What I saw was contrary to my view of what Islam is. It was not right,” he said.

The 23-year-old man came to Norway from Chechnya at the age of 15 with his father. Dressed in a jacket, shirt and dark denim pants he told the court in a subdued and articulate manner how he prepared for his journey to Syria in spring 2014 by training himself and undergoing laser eye surgery to avoid being dependent on contact lenses in Syria.
He kept his plans hidden from family and certain friends whom he thought would try to stop him if they knew he planned to go.

Police Leader Warns, Army May be Brought in to Patrol British Streets
The Army may have to be deployed on the streets of Britain to carry out routine policing duties because constables are reluctant to train as firearms officers.
Chairman of the Police Federation, Steve White, said officers are not volunteering to carry guns because they fear being “hung out to dry” and treated like a suspect if they discharge their weapon.

Sweden: Security Stepped Up After Radio Mast Sabotage
An investigation is under way after a radio mast was felled in southern Sweden.
According to state-owned broadcasting company Teracom, which operates the mast, the structure came down on Sunday evening just outside Borås in the southwest of the country. It collapsed from around 100 metres up, with the highest point falling 200 metres to the ground. No one was injured.
The local police, who have labelled the incident an act of sabotage, have yet to tie down any suspects. They are however hoping that the results of a technical analysis of the area on Monday evening will help their cause.

Zika Virus May Spread to Europe in Coming Months, WHO Warns
The Zika virus, an infectious disease linked to severe birth defects in babies, may spread into Europe as the weather gets warmer, although the risk is low, health officials said on Wednesday.
In its first assessment of the threat Zika poses to the region, the World Health Organization’s European office said the overall risk was small to moderate. It is highest in areas where Aedes mosquitoes thrive, in particular on the island of Madeira and the north-eastern coast of the Black Sea.

Chinese Jets Intercept US Spy Plane Over South China Sea, Pentagon Says
Two Chinese fighters have carried out an “unsafe” intercept of a US military aircraft over the South China Sea, the Pentagon says.
The incident happened in “international airspace” on 17 May as the US maritime patrol reconnaissance aircraft carried out “a routine US patrol” in the area, it added.
Washington has accused Beijing of militarising the South China Sea.

A former head of MI6 has said the European Union offering visa-free access to millions of Turks is like “storing gasoline next to the fire” as he warns of a “sea change” in continental politics.
Speaking on the BBC’s World on the Move day of migration coverage, Sir Richard Dearlove set out his concerns and thoughts.
He told the programme that “shutting the door on migration is not an option” and that the number of immigrants coming to Europe over the next five years could run into millions.
“For the EU, however, to offer visa-free access to 75 million Turks to stem the flow of migrants across the Aegean seems perverse, like storing gasoline next to the fire one is trying to extinguish,” he said.

Interpol: 800,000 Migrants Ready to Head to EU
An estimated 800,000 migrants are waiting in Libya to cross into Europe and there is an increased possibility that terrorists will try to cross with them, a report by Interpol and Europol says.
The conclusions of the international policing groups have been seized on by Leave campaigners who want the UK to quit the EU.
The report states: “While a systematic link between migrant smuggling and terrorism is not proven, there is an increased risk that foreign terrorist fighters may use migratory flows to (re)enter the EU.”

Obama Spending Millions to Find Summer Jobs — For Refugees
The Obama administration wants to make sure Utica, New York’s young refugees aren’t without a job, so he’s spending millions to make sure it doesn’t happen.
“Access to a job in the summer and beyond can make all the difference to a young person — especially those who don’t have access to many resources and opportunities,” President Obama said of his new Summer Opportunity Project.
The project spends a total of $21 million on a variety of programs in 11 communities nationwide with the focus of helping young people find summer work, and permanent part-time jobs, the White House and U.S. Department of Labor announced Monday.
At least $2 million of the total will be set aside to help 400 refugee students in Utica, New York get to work through the New Americans Career Pathways Project, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reports.

According to the Telegraph, the EU report adds that as a result of the deal, the Turkish mafia, which traffics vast volumes of drugs, sex slaves, illegal firearms and refugees into Europe, may undergo “direct territorial expansion towards the EU.”

Erdogan is now demanding that the EU immediately hand over three billion euros ($3.4 billion) so that Turkish authorities can spend it as they see fit. This prompted Erdogan to accuse the EU of “mocking the dignity” of the Turkish nation.

Failing to refer to transgenders as “ze” or “hir” a violation of human rights
Businesses in New York City face fines under a new law that makes it a violation of someone’s human rights not to use their preferred “gender pronoun”.
According to the New York City Commission on Human Rights, employees, landlords and businesses who refuse to refer to transgender people as terms such as “ze” and “hir” will be in violation of the New York City Human Rights Law.
Violations include, “Intentional or repeated refusal to use an individual’s preferred name, pronoun or title. For example, repeatedly calling a transgender woman “him” or “Mr.” after she has made clear which pronouns and title she uses.”

Princeton Professor: ‘There Are Few Superstitious Beliefs as Absurd as’ Transgenderism
In a serious of Sunday tweets, Princeton Professor Robert George criticized President Obama for promoting a belief “as absurd as” transgenderism.
Breitbart notes that George’s comments mirror a recent statement from the American College of Pediatricians, stating that “human sexuality is an objective binary trait… [and] a person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.”

Salon Pushes Pedophile Sympathy… Again

So, essentially, as is always true of the left, Nickerson and Salon have begun to argue that if someone molests a child, then it’s society’s fault for not accepting him. They want us to own pedophilia, rather than kick it to the shadows. Nickerson even says society has “persecuted” men such as himself.
To make one thing clear, if someone has sexual fantasies about children and resists the urge to act, then that person needs to get help until those desires are eliminated or seriously diminished, and we should encourage that as long as they do. Many people who experience pedophilia were themselves victims of sexual abuse, and it is perfectly appropriate to hope for the healing of such a person.
Salon has moved way beyond that, however, by demanding we accept such a person as they are so long as they never molest a child. They want us to see that as part of who they are and not a grotesque disorder. There is no owning pedophilia, the same way there is no owning STD’s as feminists do. Pedophiles have thoughts that need to go away, not merely be kept at bay.
In the comment boxes on Salon, some leftists have even gone so far as to suggest that pedophiles like Nickerson should be allowed to engage in simulated child pornography so they can stimulate themselves, theoretically preventing them from molesting actual children. The same “own it” mentality goes into the left’s solution for every social ill: the war on drugs has failed, so let everyone have drugs; transgenders have a high rate of suicide, so let’s celebrate transgenderism; get an STD or have an abortion, take pride in it; aroused by kids, indulge in simulated child porn.
The goal posts just keep moving.
