Unemployment Claims Spike Again as We Get More Scientific Evidence the Middle Class is Shrinking
As the U.S. economy slows down, we would expect to start to see evidence of this in the employment numbers, and that is precisely what has begun to happen. During the week before last, initial claims for unemployment benefits jumped by 17,000, which was the largest increase that we had seen in over a year. Well, last week we witnessed an even bigger spike. Seasonally adjusted initial claims shot up 20,000 more to a total of 294,000. Of course it makes perfect sense that more Americans are applying for unemployment benefits, because firms are laying people off at a much faster pace these days. Just a couple days ago I reported that job cut announcements at major firms are running 24 percent higher this year compared to the first four months of last year. So we should fully expect that the number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits will continue to accelerate.

This week, we got even more evidence that the middle class is steadily disappearing from the Pew Research Center…
The American middle class is losing ground in metropolitan areas across the country, affecting communities from Boston to Seattle and from Dallas to Milwaukee. From 2000 to 2014 the share of adults living in middle-income households fell in 203 of the 229 U.S. metropolitan areas examined in a new Pew Research Center analysis of government data. The decrease in the middle-class share was often substantial, measuring 6 percentage points or more in 53 metropolitan areas, compared with a 4-point drop nationally.
Do you understand what that is saying?
It says that the middle class got smaller in 203 out of 229 U.S. metropolitan areas between 2000 and 2014. This means that the death of the middle class is very widespread and it is happening all over the country.
But it isn’t just the middle class that is suffering. According to that same report, household incomes have been falling for Americans in all income brackets…

Emails: Hillary Clinton Knew Her Blackberry Was Non-Secure by Feb. 2009, Continued Using it
WASHINGTON — Newly released emails show that Hillary Clinton was aware of the security problems with her personal Blackberry but used the device anyway for sending and receiving emails.
Clinton’s knowledge of the Blackberry problem — and her apparent disregard for its implications — marks a crucial point in any potential criminal case that could be made against her by the Department of Justice.
To prove a violation of the Espionage Act of 1913, prosecutors must show that a person’s “gross negligence” allowed national defense information to be “lost, stolen, abstracted or destroyed.”
“I’m so sorry but I’m just seeing this (no blackberry contact permitted in my office) and I’m on the way to the shuttle to NY,” Clinton said in an email to personal Clinton health adviser Mark Hyman on February 27, 2009. The email was obtained by Judicial Watch, a nonprofit transparency group that is suing the State Department.
“Tomorrow I leave for Egypt, Israel, Europe and Turkey for a week. I hope the meeting and the hearing goes well. Let me know,” Clinton added.
Clinton was referring to the fact that her Blackberry was not allowed in her seventh-floor “Mahogany Row” office at the State Department due to its security vulnerability.

Female Gym Teacher ‘Rapes Student 30 Times’

The latest case of a female teacher allegedly having sex with one of her students involves a gym teacher charged with 30 counts of statutory rape of a teen boy, catching the attention of radio giant Rush Limbaugh.
Megan Mahoney, 24, resigned her position as a gym teacher and assistant basketball coach at the Moore Catholic High School in Graniteville, New York, in January amid allegations she had sex dozens of times with the 16-year-old student, including on the Staten Island campus. She was formally arrested and charged Monday, before being released without bail.

Girl ‘Gang Raped Under Desk as Teacher Did Nothing’
(NYDAILYNEWS) — A mentally challenged 15-year-old girl was gang-raped beneath her desk during class — only feet away from her teachers — at an Elmont, N.Y., school, according to a lawsuit filed Friday.
When the girl reported the horrific incident the next day, school officials failed to report it, the victim’s mother claimed in the suit.
The special-needs teen, known by the initials K.J., was allegedly sexually assaulted for 10 minutes under her desk by two teenage boys, as another “hit her on the head whenever she tried to escape,” during science class at Martin De Porres Academy, claims the lawsuit.

Leaked Documents Confirm Facebook Deciding Which News Stories Trend
Mere days after Tom Stocky, Facebook’s Trending News manager, rejected reports that his subordinates “artificially inject” items into its list of trending news stories, a leak of internal guidelines published in The Guardian show that the company does exactly that.
The document shows that Facebook’s team behaves like a typical Old Media outlet, with editors selecting and approving stories at virtually every stage of the process. The company also keeps a list of 1,000 “trusted” outlets that it uses in its Trending News feature.
The document also instructs staffers to check if a story is headlining on mainstream outlets like CNN, BBC, Fox News, and The New York Times before assigning it “national-level” importance. This is in stark contrast to the company’s outward claim that its Trending News feature merely reflects what’s currently trending among its userbase.
Moreover, editors are given the power to insert new topics into the trending list, provided they pass a particular threshold of popularity. This specifically contradicts a claim by Tom Stocky, the company’s manager of Trending News, who earlier this week said “we do not insert stories artificially into trending topics, and do not instruct our reviewers to do so.”
This follows a week of damaging reports from anonymous sources at the company, who told Gizmodo that members of Facebook’s Trending News feature, which is intended to reflect only the most popular news topics being discussed on Facebook, routinely discriminated against conservative news sources.

Meet the New Media Elites, Same as the Old Media Elites
The change from social media as a democratic, people-powered tool of free-flowing information to another top-down system in which elites feed pre-approved information to the masses happened gradually. Destroying the dream of liberated information in one fell swoop would have created too much uproar. Instead, Facebook decided to poison it slowly.
First, users’ control over what they saw on the platform was quietly taken away. In the old, democratic Facebook, users saw posts from their friends chronologically and could sort their friends into different categories to provide different flows of information: friends, family, co-workers, and so forth.
In other words, users were originally able to control what they saw on Facebook. Today, the picture has changed considerably. Facebook largely controls what its users see. Instead of seeing posts from their friends in chronological order, its now placed in front of users according to opaque algorithms.
Sure, users still have to add friends and follow accounts before they see anything on their feeds. And, of course, they can block out information sources they don’t like. They still have some control. But there’s no telling what criteria Facebook uses to determine what’s relevant to their users.
Then there’s Facebook’s “trending news” feature, which we’ve heard all about this week. Modelled on Twitter’s trending hashtags, the feature is ostensibly designed to pull together the most popular news stories on Facebook, presenting them in a list to its users.
In practice, as we saw this week, Facebook’s list of trending topics is curated by a news team that is every bit as biased as MSNBC or CNN. Sources inside the curation team say that links to conservative sites like Breitbart, The Blaze, and The Washington Examiner are “regularly suppressed,” while stories about pet progressive causes like Black Lives Matter are artificially inserted into the rankings despite lacking the required popularity to make the cut.
Gizmodo, the outlet that broke the story, was blunt in its assessment. The once-revolutionary CEOs of social media have morphed into carbon-copies of the very old media barons they were supposed to “disrupt.”
In other words, Facebook’s news section operates like a traditional newsroom, reflecting the biases of its workers and the institutional imperatives of the corporation.
So, after all the fears that traditional newsrooms would disappear due to the disruptive power of the web, we’re now left with …. a traditional newsroom. Really, was it all worth it?
Of course, it’s the little differences that count. The CEOs who preside over Facebook and Twitter aren’t quite like Rupert Murdoch, after all. They’re the product of zealous millennial progressivism, coupled with a strong dose of San Francisco identity politics and wrapped in the kind of insulation from the affairs of ordinary citizens that only vast wealth can provide. They’re plutocrats — hyper-progressive ones.
And they control what more a billion of of us are going to read on the internet.

Member of Congress: It’s Easy ‘To Manipulate a Nation of Naive, Self-Absorbed Sheep’
America is falling apart. And the repair bill is getting bigger.
You may not believe the incredible things that one member of Congress is saying about the corruption of our political system and the gullibility of the American people.
In a brand new book entitled “The Confessions of Congressman X”, one anonymous member of the U.S. House of Representatives confesses that he hardly ever reads the bills that he votes on, that his main job is to get reelected, and that it is “far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification”. This book is being published by Mill City Press, and it is being billed as “a devastating inside look at the dark side of Congress as revealed by one of its own.” I don’t know if you would classify this anonymous member of Congress as “brave” since he does not wish to reveal his identity, but the things that he is admitting confirm suspicions that many of us have had for a very long time. Just check out a few of the most important quotes from his book…
- “Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in the power and special-interest money that’s lavished upon them.”
- “My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything.”
- “Fundraising is so time consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like many of my colleagues, I don’t know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.”
- “Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works.”
- “It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.”
- “It’s about getting credit now, lookin’ good for the upcoming election.”
- “We spend money we don’t have and blithely mortgage the future with a wink and a nod. Screw the next generation.”
That last quote made me want to tear my hair out.
This is exactly what I have been saying for years.

Every day, in meetings at all levels of government, representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), planning groups, and federal agents surround elected representatives and insist that their policies have nothing to do with international agendas. They regularly publish reports and rail against anyone even mentioning the names Agenda 21 or the new Agenda 2030. “No, no, no,” they insist. “Those people are just crazy conspiracy theorists. Ours is just a local plan for our community.”
Elected Representatives are often confused. Issues and policies suddenly appear in front of them with sample, ready-made legislation. And then the unending pressure begins for them to pass it. There is confusion, uncertainty and there is the herd mentality to pass legislation. And it’s passed without knowledge of its origins, its purpose, and especially a lack of understanding of its consequences. “Just do it,” goes the mantra.
What most of these legislators fail to understand is the direct relationship much of this legislation has with a much larger agenda. Most legislation interconnects with other pieces and parts contained in other legislation. Like the children’s song goes “the toe bone’s connected to the ankle bone” And it’s donne so well, wrapped in innocent-sounding, positive wrapping, so that most elected representatives will argue vigorously that they passed no such thing. And most of all, they will answer, Agenda 21, never heard of it. Just local. Just local. Just local.
Well, let me show you how it works and how the toe bone gets connected to the ankle bone ending up with the Frankenstein monster. Here are six issues that are rarely connected to Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development (especially when we are assured that Agenda 21 has nothing to do with local, state or federal government policy). However, these seemingly unrelated policies, once implemented, help enforce the stated Agenda 21 goal of “reorganizing human society.”

A new study suggests the popular painkiller Tylenol does more than reduce pain — it can actually reduce your ability to imagine other people’s pain. Researchers at Ohio State University conducted three experiments on college students to test whether acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol and many other prescription and over-the-counter painkillers, affects users’ abilities to empathize with others who are experiencing physical or emotional pain. Their findings were published in the journal Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience.

Woman ‘Has Intercourse With Student, ‘ Gets No Jail
Result for teacher leaves many stunned
An Oklahoma high-school teacher charged with raping her 17-year-student is getting no jail time, leaving the parents of her victim stunned and outraged.
Erin Kathleen Queen of Sand Springs, Okla., was arrested March 17, 2012, after she was found at the Candlewood Suites hotel in Tulsa with the teen son of Shasta and Adam Belty. Queen was a 27-year-old English teacher at Charles Page High School at the time.
Although Queen was originally charged with second-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor for supplying the boy with vodka, the case was dismissed this month when Queen pleaded guilty to a different felony count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
She received three years of probation, was fined $600 and ordered to surrender her teacher’s license.

WTF TSA? Viral Video Shows Unbelievable Length of Security Line
A viral video posted on YouTube shows the unbelievable length of a TSA security line at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.
Entitled “TSA are you f***ing kidding me?,” the man filming the clip states, “OK here’s the start, let’s see how long this thing is.”
He then proceeds to walk all the way down the line, which snakes all around the terminal building.
“This is still just the beginning…we’re just getting started,” he comments.
The line stretches right back to the train terminal…
Many will see the video as more evidence that airports need to ditch the TSA altogether and hire more efficient, less invasive private screeners.
The New York the Port Authority issued an ultimatum earlier this week in a letter that stated, “We can no longer tolerate the continuing inadequacy of TSA passenger screening services. The long waits are prompting complaints from passengers, terminal operators, and airlines alike.”
Security expert and former FBI agent Manny Gomez is calling for JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty airports to take on private screeners.

Bukovsky vs. The British Crown — vs. The Kremlin?

The great Vladimir Bukovsky is on a hunger strike. Here’s why.
If a tree falls in the forest — no, if a legendary Soviet dissident goes on a hunger strike, and there is no media there to report on it, will it ever crash into world consciousness?
Not so far. I find myself in some numbing degree of disbelief at the general silence over the fact that Vladimir Bukovsky is now 20 days into a hunger strike — his impasse with the British justice system becoming a life and death struggle in a frighteningly literal sense — amid scant news coverage and even less discernible sense of public urgency. Thank goodness for Claire Berlinski’s powerfully human cri de commentary that came out today at Ricochet.
When Bukovsky, 72, who lives in Cambridge, UK, began his hunger strike on April 20, there was an initial flurry in the British press. It tapered off, and especially after the draconian measure taken on May 3 by the British High Court. The court went to the unusual and unusually totalitarian length of imposing a “reporting ban” on recent developments in Bukovsky’s libel suit against the Crown Prosecution Service, as explained here.
Another greatly disturbing development is that should Bukovsky be medically unfit for his separate criminal trial on May 16, the court has reportedly threatened to try him in absentia.
What is going on?
It all started on April 27, 2015, when the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced in an unusual manner — no, a unique manner, as I will show below — that it would be prosecuting Bukovsky for “making” and “possessing” child pornography, five charges each, plus one charge of possessing a “forbidden image.”
I have to pause for a moment to ask, incredulously: Is there a sentient person, naturally revolted by the thought of child pornography, even five or six images’ worth, going to believe for one minute that the British state, for decades having turned the blindest and hardest and most craven of eyes against the sexual despoilment and prostitution of generations of little British girls at risk at the hands of criminal Islamic “grooming” gangs, has suddenly developed some compelling interest in protecting the welfare of children, and thus turned its avenging sword on €¦ Vladimir Bukovsky? The context, at least, is all wrong from the get-go…

Germany: 369 Reported Extremist Cases

Caroline Glick: The Fruits of Subversion
For the Obama administration, Israel’s security brass is an alternative government.
That is the lesson from an article published this week in Foreign Affairs by David Makovsky, a member of Secretary of State John Kerry’s negotiating team during his failed peace process two years ago.
Makovsky wrote that the security brass’s unbridled vilification of Sgt. Elor Azaria, for killing a wounded terrorist in Hebron in March, “captures the IDF’s growing involvement in the Palestinian issue.”
“Seeing a diplomatic vacuum in Israeli politics,” he wrote supportively, “the IDF has increasingly worked to assert itself as a guardian of democratic values and a stabilizer of the Israeli-Palestinian arena.”
The article tells us two things. First, for the administration, “Israeli democracy” means the Left is in charge.
The “diplomatic vacuum,” Makovsky referred to after all wasn’t an oversight. The public elected leaders that shared its view that the “peace process” is a fraud. We elected leaders who agree that Israel making unreciprocated concessions to terrorists is not a peace process. It’s a process of destroying Israel.
If the voters had wanted a government that felt otherwise, they would have voted the Left to lead. So the “diplomatic vacuum” is just the government doing what it was elected to do…

India: Girl’s ‘Rapist’ Invited to Dinner, Tortured to Death
Dad burns man’s body parts before strangling him
(INDIANEXPRESS) — Furious over the alleged rape of his 14-year-old daughter by a 45-year-old married man, the father called the man to his house on Friday night, treated him to dinner and then tortured him to death, police said. He then went to the police station, surrendered himself and gave police a detailed account on how he tortured and murdered the man.
The 36-year-old reportedly burned the man’s genitals using heated tongs and then strangled him to death. The incident was reported from Northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area on Saturday.
Based on the man’s statement, police said the deceased, a medicine supplier, had allegedly raped the man’s minor daughter two months ago. The father did not approach police fearing “a bad name for his daughter”…
In his statement, the man told police that two months ago, while he was away at his shop in the area, the medicine supplier had come calling at his house. On finding the minor girl alone at home, he allegedly raped her. He threatened the girl with dire consequences if she spoke about the incident to anyone.
Police said the girl, however, told her father about it the same day. The man also told police that he did not approach them as he feared that neighbours and relatives would blame his daughter for the incident.
Police said the father had been planning the murder since the day he found out about his daughter’s alleged rape. He further told police that he used to get furious whenever he saw the man happy with his family while his daughter was suffering.

Nonwhite invaders from all over the world are buying fake Syrian passports for as little as €20 apiece to swindle liberal Europeans into giving them “asylum,” a prominent German specialist in Middle Eastern affairs has revealed. Britain’s 1.5million Hidden EU Migrants: ‘It’s Totally Out of Control’ Warns Minister
AROUND 1.5million more EU migrants have come to Britain over the last five years than the Government previously admitted, a bombshell report suggested yesterday.
The study by the Office for National Statistics showed that the number of “short-term” migrants from other EU member states heading to the UK has been substantially under-estimated.
A senior Government minister warned that the gaping discrepancy proved that immigration was now “totally out of control” and cannot be gripped until the country quits the EU.

Migrant Crisis Continues as Hundreds of Refugees in Just Two Boats Land in Italy
MORE than 800 refugees packed into just two boats arrived in the new migrant route to Italy today.
Coastguards says it helped rescue 801 migrants, including many Syrians, from the boats off the coast of western Sicily.
The rescue has raised concerns migrants from the Middle East are shunning the Greek route into Europe.

More Students With Foreign Citizenship at Italian Schools
Romanians largest group, 55.3% born in the country
(ANSA) — Milan, May 11 — Some 814,000 students holding foreign citizenship attended Italian schools during the 2014/2015 academic year, 9.2% of the total and a 1.4% rise on the previous year. Growth was steady but has been slowing since 2008. The figures were contained in the report “Alunni con Cittadinanza non Italiana” (“Students with Non-Italian Citizenship”), curated by the education ministry and the ISMU foundation and presented in Milan. Some 55.3% of them were born in Italy, a number that quadrupled between the 2007/2008 and 2014/2015 academic years — from 8,111 to 34,788. Meanwhile, ever more unaccompanied minors are arriving in Italian schools due to the refugee crisis, most of whom in the Sicily, Calabria and Puglia regions. The largest groups are those from Romania (157,153), Albania (108,331) and Morocco (101,584). There are also ever more disabled foreigners — over 28,000 — accounting for 12% of total disabled students in Italy. Some 780 more children from Roma, Sinti and Caminanti ethnic groups were registered at Italian schools in 2014/2015 compared with the previous year.

Turkey Hopes for EU Visa-Free Travel in Six Months Despite Failing to Meet Deal’s Measures
THE president of Turkey has laid down plans for his country’s citizens to be grated visa-free travel within the European Union by “October at the latest”.
Brussels struck a controversial deal with Turkey in March allowing visa-free travel by June if the eastern Mediterranean nation met 72 measures of reform.
And despite Turkey not yet meeting all of the measures, Jean-Claude Juncker’s European Commission last week revealed its desire to grantee visa-free travel as a “matter of urgency”.

Curt Schilling, North Carolina, The Feds, DOJ, And Transgender Bathroom Bills
While Democrat governors and mayors sign travel bans to North Carolina and Mississippi, and corporations pledge boycotts and relocations out of the States, the NBA has decided not to let their All-Star Game next time be in North Carolina as originally intended over the bathroom law, and both Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams, who complain that big corporations have too much influence on our society and political world, have followed the exodus and have canceled scheduled concerts in those states.
The Mississippi law is designed to protect the rights of religious charities, small businesses, and select public servants. The North Carolina law is not as narrow, but is designed to reasonably protect privacy and safety in public restrooms, but at the same time gives private institutions the freedom to set their own bathroom policies.
I thought big corporations with all of that wealth they throw around influencing issues was bad?
Democrats constantly scream that corporations and the wealthy have no business sticking their money into politics. Isn’t that Bernie Sanders’ big appeal? “Get the money out of politics!” they scream. They believe, they say, that big corporations should not be using their riches to engage in advocating regarding the issues of the day. Politicians, they say, must be accountable to the people, not corporate money.
Yet, the liberal left Democrat slaves out there in the voting public are celebrating the fact that big corporations like Apple, PayPal, Salesforce, and countless other giant corporations are threatening legislators and governors with boycotts if they pass transgender laws (or any other laws) that are popular with the people, but disagrees with the leftist narrative.
There was no discussion. There was no reasoning this out regarding what the “will of the people” was, or what is within the rule of law. Big corporations are bullying these States because their laws, which are supported by a majority of the State’s constituency, are counter to what the big corporations want. “Do as we say, or we will boycott you and transfer jobs out of your State.” The politicians in North Carolina are being told to do what the bullies of the corporate world are demanding, regardless of the consent of the governed.

Pentagon Preps for Transgender Troops
(NAVY TIMES) Defense Secretary Ash Carter on Thursday reiterated his intention to allow transgender people to openly serve in the military, and said he’s confident any “practical issues” can be resolved.
“The question of principle we’ve sort of settled — what matters is people’ s ability to contribute to our military,” Carter said when asked about the military’s transgender policy in a question-and-answer session with cadets at the Air Force Academy. “The only barriers we should ever erect to that principle are ones in which there are practical issues that we can’t work through.”
But Carter said he’s sure the Defense Department will be able to resolve those issues in this case.

Target CEO Defends Pro-Transgender Policy, Stocks Crash Down Another $2 Billion
“We’re going to continue to embrace our belief in diversity and inclusion…”
The CEO of retail giant Target is zig-zaging between the many customers who are angered by his decision to open single-sex bathrooms to the other sex, the gender-identity progressives who pushed for the disastrous transgender policy, and the Wall Street stock-pickers who have chopped roughly $4.5 billion off the company’s value.
“We’re going to continue to embrace our belief in diversity and inclusion, just how important that is to our company,” CEO Brian Cornell said in a May 11 appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” business show. “But we’re also going to make sure our focus on safety is unwavering,” he added.
To mollify the public angered by his removal of single-sex restrooms and changing rooms, the company will add family bathrooms to all of its stores, he said.
But Cornell did not offer to return single-sex changing rooms, which is likely the most unnerving element in the company’s new open-door, pro-transgender agenda.

Consider the position of the Muslim amid non-Muslim society:
He (she) is based on foreign ways, and foreign ways are an embarrassment and a doubt in themselves. Further, what he (maybe she) wants to do is just fine according to the Koran, but frowned on if not completely illegal in the society where he (she) sits.
In that case, the Koran is the word of “God” while the word of the society around is simply the word of other humans as variable, contradictory, unauthoritarian and even babble-ish as the day is long.
As I see it, the only way to defeat this stuff is to prove the Koran is not the word of “God.” It may be the word of an incredible power, but the proof needs to be that it’s not the word of the ultimate power (meaning supreme being).
That’s the task: prove that the Koran is not the word of a supreme God.
For what it’s worth, the power to destroy every living thing, maybe even the earth itself has been given/found (word choice there depends on your view of religion and science) as of nearly a century ago. It was given to western society and demonstrated at Hiroshima. That power could just as easily have been given to the the Islamic world. It was also given to those who claimed no belief in a God but claimed to seek the perfect human society.
The task remains: prove that the Koran is not the word of God.
