A migrant who had been invited to stay with a family in Sweden has been arrested for sexually assaulting the 10-year-old daughter of the people who took him in. The Eritrean culture-enricher had lied and said he was 15 in order to be allowed to stay with the family; his actual age is thought to be abut 19.
In other migration news, four asylum-seekers were rescued from the frigid waters of the Øresund off Denmark after attempting to make the crossing from Denmark to Sweden. There’s no word yet whether these daring young men had also hoped to stay with Swedish families who have pre-teen daughters.
In other news, Muslim migrants in German asylum homes are said to be forcing Christian inmates to join them in Islamic prayers.

Politicians think that by making it unattractive for you to keep money in the bank, you’ll save less money. Instead, you’ll spend more money on things like smartphones and cars. You’ll invest in things like stocks and real estate. This would “stimulate” the economy.
This thinking is very, very wrong. No matter what the government does, it can’t force you to spend money. It can’t force you to make investments if you don’t see good opportunities. Forcing people to pay banks to hold their money is a tax…
If the government makes it unattractive for you to keep cash in the bank, you can pull cash out of the bank. You can simply store it in a safe or under the mattress. Politicians know this. That’s why they’ve created another dangerous policy that works hand-in-glove with negative interest rates. That policy is banning cash.

Be Very Afraid of the Real Globalist Newt Ginrich
Newt masquerades as a rightwing conservative, but is one of the most dangerous enemies of freedom.
Gingrich is a college professor, historian, and author, and he twice ran unsuccessfully for the House before winning a seat in the election of November 1978. He was re-elected ten times, and his activism as a member of the House’s Republican minority eventually enabled him to succeed Dick Cheney as House Minority Whip in 1989. As a co-author of the 1994 Contract with America, Gingrich was in the forefront of the Republican Party’s dramatic success in that year’s Congressional elections and subsequently was elected Speaker of the House.
Newt received his PhD in modern European history from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1971. At Tulane University he accepted student deferments rather than being drafted to Viet Nam. He experimented with marijuana. He led a campus demonstration defending the school paper’s right to print a photo of a nude faculty member. And in 1968 he campaigned for Nelson Rockefeller.
In 1990, he became a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. If you’ve never read Richard N. Gardner’s April 1974 article in CFR’s World Affairs, Gardner called for an end run around national sovereignty eroding it piece by piece. The CFR was founded in 1921 for world government and eliminating national independence. Henry Kissinger is also a CFR member and actually schooled Newt, and both claim they’re conservatives. Newt is also a fellow at phony conservative think tanks, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and Hoover Institution, focusing on U.S. politics, world history, national security policy, and environmental policy issues. Trotskyite Irving Kristol was a senior fellow at AEI, and Richard Allen, author of NAFTA while at Heritage Foundation, is a Hoover fellow…

Donald J. Trump believes in property rights, not the confiscation of properties by the Bureau of Land Management, the EPA, and the Federal Government.

He jawed with President Clinton in NH, that he was a huge fan of FDR and Woodrow Wilson, two of the most despised early communist leaning presidents. Remember Wilson gave us both the federal reserve and the 16th amendment, income tax.
Donald J. Trump would never approve of this type of spending. And he certainly is against these trade deals which destroy American jobs.

Big Test Pushes Elon Musk’s Futuristic ‘Hyperloop’ Closer to Reality
A futuristic transportation concept known as the “Hyperloop” is undergoing the first public test today of one of its key components — an important milestone for the pioneering system first envisioned by SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk.
A startup known as Hyperloop One (formerly known as Hyperloop Technologies) is conducting a test of the Hyperloop system’s electric motor in the Nevada desert, running it at speeds of up to 300 mph (483 km/h), the company said.
The test is meant to signal the start of work on an actual Hyperloop transportation system, which was proposed by Musk in 2013. The concept would see people zoom between Los Angeles and San Francisco in only 30 minutes, sitting inside pods that speed through low-pressure tubes at roughly 760 mph (1,220 km/h).

California’s Shadow Water Conservation Government
Droughts are naturally occurring; water shortages are government-created and political. A proposed California ballot measure titled “Water Priorities for All,” would shift bond money earmarked for California’s bullet train and use it instead to build new dams and enlarge existing dams.
The initiative would also amend the State Constitution to include language prioritizing residential and agricultural water use over environmental and recreational claims on river water while leaving water rights untouched.
The ballot measure is under attack by a coalition of seemingly environmental opponents. The Committee to Stop the Special Interest Water Grab, led by David Guy, president of the Northern California Water Association, Tim Johnson, president of the California Rice Commission and a “contract administrator” at California Rice Industry Association, and political operative Steve Maviglio of Forza Communications, a Democratic strategist and big supporter of High Speed Rail and the Twin Tunnels, have launched an all-out assault campaign against the California Water Priorities Initiative.

Fire That Led to Texas Fertilizer-Plant Explosion Was Deliberately Set
(CNN)The fire that led to a deadly explosion at a West, Texas, fertilizer plant three years ago was deliberate, authorities said Wednesday.
The blast devastated the Texas town of West in April 2013 and killed 15 people — including 12 first responders.
Investigators determined someone started the fire on purpose after conducting 400 interviews and lab work on evidence, said officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Authorities would not comment on whether they know of a suspect.
But “we’re headed in the right direction,” ATF Special Agent in Charge Robert Elder said. ..

Man Beaten After Accused of Being ‘Trump Supporter’

A Washington man was severely beaten over the weekend by two thugs who randomly accused him of being a Donald Trump supporter.
Ferndale resident Justin O’Flaherty, 22, didn’t attend the hotel mogul’s rally in nearby Lynden Saturday night; he did however attend his local bar where he had drinks with a friend before heading to a food trailer. O’Flaherty told police at that point he was approached by two men, “a black man with long curly black hair, and a bald skinny white man with over-the-ear headphones and tattoos on his neck,” according to the Bellingham Herald.

Measles Outbreak in Memphis Began at Mosque
The first reported case of a person with measles in the recent Memphis outbreak, which now numbers seven confirmed cases, was at a local mosque on April 15, according to the Shelby County Health Department.
“The first public place where there was a public exposure potentially [to measles] was the Masjid Al-Noor Mosque on April 15,” Dr. Alisa Haushalter, Director of the Shelby County Health Department, tells Breitbart News.
“The mosque is one location we know that individuals who were infectious were during their infectious period, but that’s not necessarily where the first case occurred. I don’t want you to draw conclusions without sufficient information,” she added.
Haushalter acknowledged, however, that the measles outbreak could have originated with an unvaccinated for measles adult or child brought to Tennessee under the federal refugee resettlement program, something she called “a possibility amongst many.”
There had been no reported cases of measles in Shelby County for the previous 24 months, according to a spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Health. “There have been nine previous cases of measles in the entire state of Tennessee in the past 12 years,” WREG reported.
The Shelby County Health Department first notified the public of a measles outbreak on Friday morning, April 22, reporting two confirmed cases, an adult and a child.
“We take the testing [of patients for measles] to the state lab then to CDC. We went public as soon as we received the confirmation,” spokesperson Elizabeth Hart tells Breitbart News…

Angela Merkel to Attend Secretive Bilderberg 2016 Meeting
Left and right unite to denounce undemocratic lobbying confab.
Chancellor Angela Merkel has been invited to attend the 2016 Bilderberg conference in Dresden, Germany, the annual meeting of elitists which some accuse of being a secret cabal that manipulates world events.
According to a German language Huffington Post report, which cites the Die Tageszeitung newspaper, Angela Merkel herself is on this year’s guest list and will meet with over 100 globalists from business, banking, media and academia.
Germany’s Federal Minister of Defence Ursula von der Leyen will also attend the confab alongside Federal Minister for Special Affairs Peter Altmaie and Sigmar Gabriel, the Vice-Chancellor of Germany. They will be joined by Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Germany’s Foreign Affairs Minister.
Left-leaning German economist Axel Troost criticized Merkel’s involvement, accusing her of being at the mercy of lobbyists and insisting that, “Government officials should not as a matter of principle” be allowed to participate.
Condemnation also came from the right, with publisher Jürgen Elsässer revealing that he would support protests against Bilderberg.
The right-wing populist AFD Party, which is now the third biggest political party in Germany, also expressed its opposition, asserting that Bilderberg was pushing a “neoliberal globalization agenda” that seeks to eliminate nation states and “undermine the democratic participation of national parliaments.”
Merkel’s attendance is notable given that she has overseen a policy which has led to a huge migrant influx into Germany. A new poll finds that two-thirds of Germans think she should not run for re-election in 2017.
Although the mainstream media habitually dismisses Bilderberg as a mere “talking shop” with no actual power, there are innumerable examples of the group exerting its influence over world affairs.

Geert Wilders: Let’s Dump Turkey
The greatest threat to the West is Islam.
Look at every country where Islam is dominant and you will see a total lack of freedom and democracy. Islam and freedom are absolutely incompatible. And yet, we are importing it into our western societies, thereby endangering our own freedoms. It is time to stop this foolishness.
Take Turkey, for example. Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has never made a secret of his aim to strengthen the powers of Islam. Contrary to what some want us to believe, Turkey does not prove that Islam and democracy are compatible.
For Erdogan, democracy is merely a tool. He once compared it to a tram: “You ride it until you arrive at your destination, then you step off.”
Today, Mr Erdogan is stepping off.
The repercussions are felt not only in Turkey, but also in European countries, such as Germany and the Netherlands, where large Turkish immigrant communities act as the fifth column of intolerance.
Indeed, the Turkish President not only oppresses free speech at home. He has embarked on a crusade to oppress it in Europe as well. And the large groups of Turkish immigrants in Western European countries are his henchmen.
Last month, the Turkish President demanded criminal prosecution of German comedian Jan Böhmermann. The latter had ridiculed Erdogan with a critical poem on German television.
German Turks began to threaten Böhmermann to such degree that he had to request police protection and go into hiding. At the same time, the German authorities started criminal proceedings against the comedian, based on a 19th century German penal law which forbids insulting the representatives of foreign states.
The criminal proceedings were started with the explicit consent of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who, according to Böhmermann, has “served me for tea to a despot.”
Meanwhile, Erdogan’s appetite is far from over. This week, he demanded a German court to stop Mathias Döpfner, the CEO of the Springer publishing company, from defending the comedian.
Fear of violent Turkish immigrants also forced a hamburger restaurant in Cologne to shut down. Its owner, Jörg Tiemann, had put a burger with goat cheese on the menu, calling it “the Erdogan burger.” Erdogan supporters immediately responded with threats against owner and staff, forcing the restaurant to close its doors.
Then, there is the case of Ebru Umar, a Dutch journalist of Turkish descent. Four weeks ago, she wrote a column criticizing the Turkish Consulate in Rotterdam. Following the Böhmermann incident, the Consulate had called on Dutch Turks to report incidents of “insults” against Erdogan in The Netherlands.
One week later, while on holiday in the Turkish seaside resort Kusadasi, Umar was arrested and only released on condition that she not leave Turkey. On Facebook and Twitter, hundreds of Dutch Turks openly rejoiced in her arrest.
Her home in Amsterdam was broken into and vandalized.When walking the streets of Kusadasi, Umar was threatened on several occasions by Dutch Turks who had gone looking for her. “We will know where to find you when you return to the Netherlands,” they said. “You will get what you deserve.”
Last Tuesday, after three weeks, the Erdogan regime finally allowed Umar to return to the Netherlands.

Northern Ireland Terror Threat Level Raised in Great Britain
The threat level from Northern Ireland-related terrorism in Great Britain has gone up from moderate to substantial.
It means an attack in England, Scotland or Wales is “a strong possibility”.
Home Secretary Theresa May said the level, set by security service MI5, “reflects the continuing threat from dissident republican activity”.
The level for Northern Ireland-related terrorism in Northern Ireland remains severe, meaning an attack is “highly likely”.

Spain’s Abertis Acquires 51% of A4 Holding for 594 Mn
Operation needs government’s green light on extension A31
(ANSA) — Milan, May 10 — Spanish toll road operator Abertis has acquired a 51.4% stake in A4 Holding (Autostrada A4 Brescia-Padova Serenissima and A31) for 594 million euros, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
The agreement was reportedly reached, with the consultancy of Mediobanca, by members of the consortium that controls A4 Holding, including lender Banca Intesa San Paolo and builder Astaldi.
The operation, which will be regulated in January 2023 aside from five million euros to be paid “over the next few months”, according to the statement, depends on the Italian government’s approval of the extension of the A31 toll road in northern Italy, which is considered of strategic importance.

UK: Man Arrested Over ‘Babes in the Wood’ Murders of Girls Nearly 30 Years on
A man has been arrested over the murders of two schoolgirls nearly three decades after they were killed.
The suspect was arrested today by the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team over the deaths of playmates Nicola Fellows, 10, and nine-year-old Karen Hadaway, whose bodies were found dumped in a park near their Brighton homes in October 1986.
The crimes, which came to be known as the ‘Babes in the Wood killings’, remain one of the country’s most notorious unsolved cases.
The arrest of the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, comes after new evidence emerged which was not available at the time of the original investigation.
Neighbours Nicola, 10, and Karen, nine, were snatched off the street close to their homes in the Moulsecoomb estate in Brighton on October 9, 1986, after going out to play.
Relatives and friends joined more than 150 police officers in a massive hunt for the girls after they failed to return home.
They were found strangled in the city’s Wild Park the next day, huddled together with Karen’s head resting on her friend’s lap. Nicola had been sexually assaulted before her death.

UK: Queen Overheard Calling Chinese Officials ‘Very Rude’
The Queen has been caught on camera saying Chinese officials were “very rude” during last year’s state visit by President Xi Jinping.
She was discussing their treatment of Britain’s ambassador to China with a senior police officer at a Buckingham Palace garden party on Tuesday.
It came after David Cameron was overheard saying Afghanistan and Nigeria were “fantastically corrupt”.

Super-Salty Turkish Lakes May Hold Key to Spotting Life on Mars
If you want to visit Mars, visit Turkey. That’s where you’ll find lakes so salty that the only bugs able to live there are species that could probably survive on Mars as well.
For that reason, microbiologists in Turkey have surveyed the array of species that inhabit the Acigol, Salda and Yarisli lakes. They’re hopeful that studying some of them will yield useful insights into the kinds of biology that could help microbes exist on Mars or other potentially habitable planets and moons.
Evidence from Enceladus, a moon of Saturn, for example, has revealed oceans that are extremely salty, with pH levels well into the alkaline range, from 9 to 12. The three Turkish lakes have values ranging from 8.6 to 9.5.

Syria: Iran Admits “Heavy Casualties”
The Iranian government has confirmed that it has suffered “heavy casualities” of at least 700 dead from its ground forces fighting ISIS near the Syrian city of Aleppo. Contrary to Western propaganda, only the armed forces of Iran, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Russia, and the Syrian government, are actually fighting ISIS on the ground.

Putin is Less of a Communist Than Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton
Perhaps you may have heard of Vladimir Putin’s latest offer that was just last week. The Washington Post reports that Putin offering the citizens of Russia free land if they will move to Russia’s far East. Here is a quote from Russian news:
“ All citizens will be entitled to apply for up to hectare of land in the Kamchatka, Primorye, Khabarovsk, Amur, Magadan and Sakhalin regions, the republic of Sakha, or the Jewish and Chukotka autonomous districts.”
The bill was signed into law by Putin that grants each citizen a hectare of land (equivalent to about 2.5 acres) and to enjoy a period of five years in which they will pay no property taxes on the land. If the land is being put to use in that time, then the deed will be issued to the owners. Part of the reason it is done is to offset the Chinese populations encroaching in the far East of Russia just across the border.
Now, let’s turn to Carter. Basically, Putin is giving his citizens a chance to follow after a “pioneer spirit” that formed the American Wild West. And Carter? Well, he happened to be the one to repeal the Homestead Act, where people could stake a claim for land. Yes, the current neofeudalism/ “Soylent Green” fundamental transformation of the U.S. into an oligarch and politician-controlled state had a deep rooting when Carter removed the vehicle for Americans to continue to expand and stake out land for their own.
The miner placer claim was the last one to be shown the door. A miner placer claim was where each individual was entitled to stake out land, and mine it for a certain period of time. The miner had to live on the land, and report their findings to the BLM (Bureau of Land Management). The placer claim was registered with the BLM, and after a certain amount of time, the miner would be entitled to buy the land from the government at approximately $5.00 per acre.
Clinton finished that one off after 1994, and now you can still live on the land and mine for gold, precious metals, etc., but all miner placer claims now revert to the BLM and are not able to be bought. Great, huh? An Agenda-21-gun salute to that great policy! The Federal Government is not buying land for any other reason than to keep it out of the hands of U.S. citizens. The Federal Government will prosecute you for anything you do on Federal Land.
This is not to say that Putin is a knight in shining armor, and in the end, the government of any nation can take away anything that any citizen may have at any time, and there isn’t anything that can be done to stop them. Eminent domain finished off private property…because all that needs to be done is bus in a whole boatload of illegal aliens and foreign “refugees” to create population demographics. Then it will shortly follow that the “needy” population will justify government actions such as confiscation of property “for the public good.”

Divine Intervention? Indian Hindus Ask Gods to Help Trump
NEW DELHI (AP) — Donald Trump may find it tough to get Republican leaders behind his campaign, but he’s got some faraway fans trying to get the gods on his side.
Around a dozen members of a right-wing Indian Hindu group lit a ritual fire and chanted mantras Wednesday asking the Hindu gods to help Trump win the U.S. presidential election.
While Trump has dominated the Republican primary race to decide the party’s candidate for the November election, his calls for temporarily banning Muslims from America and cracking down on extremist groups abroad have earned him some fans in India.
“The whole world is screaming against Islamic terrorism, and even India is not safe from it,” said Vishnu Gupta, founder of the Hindu Sena nationalist group. “Only Donald Trump can save humanity.”
Members of the group gathered on a blanket spread out in a New Delhi protest park along with a collection of statues depicting gods including Shiva and Hanuman — as well as photos of a smiling Trump.
Above them hung a banner declaring support for Trump “because he is hope for humanity against Islamic terror.”
The group chanted Sanskrit prayers asking the gods to favor Trump in the election, and threw offerings such as seeds, grass and ghee — or clarified butter — into a small ritual fire.

Uzbekistan Schoolteachers ‘Paid in Chickens’
A city in Uzbekistan has paid its schoolteachers in chickens rather than cash, it’s reported.
The authorities in Nukus, in the autonomous Karakalpakstan Republic, have been handing out freshly-hatched chicks due to a lack of money in the country’s banks, US-backed Radio Ozodlik reports. One teacher describes the decision as “shameful”, telling the radio: “Last year they paid us with potatoes, carrots and pumpkins. This year they are forcing us to take newborn chickens instead of our wages. If we need chickens we can buy them from a market at a much cheaper rate.”

Australians Planned to ‘Use Small Boat to Join IS’
Five men arrested in Australia allegedly intended to cross the ocean in a small fishing boat and join the so-called Islamic State group.
Police arrested the men as they were towing the boat through the northern part of Queensland state.
Media reports said they were being held on suspicion of foreign incursion offences.
One of the men is notorious Islamic preacher Musa Cerantonio, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. said.
It appears they were seeking to reach Indonesia from Cape York before somehow finding a way to join IS.

Shooting Stars Show Earth Had Oxygen Eons Before We Thought
Few things seem more ephemeral than shooting stars streaking across the sky.
Yet the scorched remains of 60 micrometeorites have survived 2.7 billion years in the limestone Tumbiana Formation of Western Australia. They are the oldest space rocks ever discovered on Earth.
What’s more, the fact that the meteorites contain oxides of iron show that the upper part of the atmosphere back then must have contained oxygen.
“We were very surprised to find micrometeorites at all, let alone those with iron oxides,” says Matthew Genge of Imperial College London. “It was incredible, these tiny spherules had trapped ancient atmosphere, storing it away like little treasure chests.”
The biggest surprise was the presence of oxygen, says lead author Andrew Tomkins of Monash University in Australia. “As geologists, we are taught the Earth had no oxygen in its atmosphere before 2.3 to 2.4 billion years ago.”

0.5% Visa Overstayers Deported
Exactly 0.5 percent of the 482,781 aliens who entered the United States on a nonimmigrant visitor visa in 2015-and who then never left-have actually been deported, official figures have shown.
These figures do not include Mexican nationals who use Border Crossing Cards, and the true number of overstayers is likely to be even higher.

A ten-year-old Swedish girl was molested by a teenage migrant in her own home, just weeks after the alleged underaged boy had been placed to live with her family.
The victim was sexually assaulted after falling asleep in the family home in Eslov, southern Sweden, and awoke to find the perpetrator ‘fondling her breasts’.
Isak Andai from Eritrea claims to be 15 years old, however his identity or age has not been proven and court documents state he may be as old as 19.
The victim lives with her parents and an older siblings in Eslov, 25miles north of Malmo; one of many families in Sweden who have opened up their homes to help the government house new arrivals following the refugee crisis.

Austria: Invaders Teach Liberals “Tolerance”
The ongoing nonwhite invader crime rampage through Europe continues unabated-with the latest incident being the brutal rape of a four-year-old in Austria.
Like many other such cases, the nonwhite was given access to the child by her white liberal parents as part their support for “refugees” and “integration.”
According to a report in the OE24 news service in Austria, a 42-year-old nonwhite claiming to be a “Syrian” has been arrested in Salzburg for repeatedly raping the four-year-old girl.
The sex assaults occurred over a period of months from autumn 2015 to March 2016, when the parents finally filed charges against him.
The “asylum seeker” had been taken in by the liberal whites to show their support for the nonwhite invasion, and after he had befriended them, he offered to babysit their young child while they went out.
The rapes then occurred while the four-year-old was left in his care. The parents only realized that there was something wrong when the girl’s behavior dramatically altered, and they took her for a medical examination.
The nonwhite is awaiting trial, police said in a statement this week.

EU Omen? Schengen’s European Museum Ceiling Collapses

Germany: Muslim Migrant Sexually Assaults 6-Year-Old Boy in Changing Room
AN Afghan migrant has been arrested by police after allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old boy in a changing room at a sports hall.
The youngster was with his father and younger brother at a wrestling event at the sports hall in Munich.
The father said he noticed at the time that his son was taking a long time to get changed, and that evening the boy told his parents what had reportedly happened.
He told his parents that the man followed him into the cabin, pulled down his trousers and interfered with him.
Police arrested a 20-year-old refugee from Afghanistan in connection with the attack…

Sweden-Bound Migrants Pulled Out of Danish Waters
Four male asylum seekers were pulled out of the Øresund on Monday afternoon in a large-scale rescue operation involving boats, helicopters and divers.
Two of the migrants were in hospital after authorities pulled them from icy waters off Denmark on as they tried to reach Sweden to ask for asylum, Danish police said.
The rescued migrants were part of a group of four who attempted crossing the strait between Denmark and Sweden, where the water is around 8C.

Italy: Govt Puts Civil-Unions Bill to Confidence Vote
Bill cleared Senate confidence vote in February
(ANSA) — Rome, May 10 — Reform and Relations with Parliament Minister Maria Elena Boschi said Tuesday that the government was putting a bill regulating civil unions, including same-sex ones, to a confidence vote in the Lower House.
The bill cleared its first major hurdle when the Senate approved it with a vote of confidence on February 25 this year.
The motion was approved with 173 in favor, 71 against and none abstaining. Senators from the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) boycotted the vote.
The bill passed after Renzi’s center-left PD scrapped two key measures in a compromise with Catholic conservatives — one that would have allowed stepchild adoptions and the other imposing a duty of fidelity.
The bill’s rapporteur, PD Senator Monica Cirinna’, said the confidence vote on this watered-down version of the bill was a hollow victory.
“It’s a first step — a victory with a hollow heart,” said Cirinna’. “This is a very important measure, but I am also thinking of the children of so many friends”.
“Now we must take a second step,” Cirinna’ said. “We’re halfway up the ladder”.
Renzi hailed the vote on “a day that will remain in the history of this legislature and of our country”.
“By requesting a confidence vote, we bound the government’s very survival to a civil rights battle,” the premier wrote on Facebook.
On the following day, the Council of Europe called the Senate vote “a first step” but said that in order for Italy to fully comply with a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights, it must eventually add a provision for same-sex couples to adopt children.
“The text approved yesterday by the Italian Senate is in line with what the European Court of Human Rights asked in the Oliari sentence,” said Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland.
That July 2015 ruling regarded the case of three gay couples who said their inability under Italian law to establish a legal union was a violation of the right to family life.
“The next step will be a law that allows adoption, in order to eliminate this remaining discrimination and fully align Italian laws with jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights,” said Nils Muiznieks, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.

It’s about time that some states finally fight back.
“The progressives are out of control with their seizing of the federal government and their steamrolling of the states. We need some states to fight back. The nature redefiners are bullies who must be countered.”

OSU Button Campaign Aims to Make ‘Trans-Phobic’ Students ‘Uncomfortable’
In response to what they call “anti-transgender legislation,” students at Oregon State University are partnering with the school to provide transgender students with a companion to alleviate discomfort in “gender specific” situations.
According to The Daily Barometer, the “#I’llGoWithYou” Campaign was devised as a way to offer solidarity and assistance to transgender students, while also giving a subtle rebuke to their “trans-phobic” classmates, by providing special buttons in each of the University’s seven cultural centers that students can wear to identify themselves as willing escorts.
Students willing to participate in the initiative can place these buttons on their backpacks to let transgender students know that they are willing to escort them into “gender specific” places that might make them feel uncomfortable.

A former victim of child sex abuse has ended her life under Dutch euthanasia laws because she could not live with her mental suffering.
The woman, in her twenties, was given a lethal injection after doctors and psychiatrists decided that her post-traumatic stress disorder and other conditions were incurable.
It went ahead despite improvements in the woman’s psychological condition after ‘intensive therapy’ two years ago, and even though doctors in the Netherlands accept that a demand for death from a psychiatric patient may be no more than a cry for help.
The woman, who has not been named, began to suffer from mental disorders 15 years ago following sexual abuse, according to the papers released by the Dutch Euthanasia Commission. The timescale means she was abused between the ages of five and 15.
News of her death angered anti-euthanasia MPs and disability campaigners in Britain. One Labour MP said it meant sex abuse victims were now being punished with death…
