A 27-year-old “German” man went on a rampage at a train station in Munich, stabbing four people. One of his victims has died, and the others are being treated in the hospital. Their alleged attacker is in police custody.
In other news, Italian police have arrested three men for planning terror attacks in Britain and Italy. One of the suspects is a Pakistani, and the other two are Afghans.

Italy: Never Said Bond Victims Well-Informed, Says Vegas
CONSOB probing subordinated bonds
(ANSA) — Milan, May 10 — CONSOB chief Giuseppe Vegas on Tuesday denied saying Monday that investors who bought subordinated bonds in four rescued banks — bonds that were made worthless by the rescue — had been well informed about “the risks they were exposing themselves to”. The bourse regulator said a probe was ongoing into the conduct of the banks in placing the bonds with clients. Vegas admitted Monday that prospectuses for financial products were often too complicated for the general public. But he also said that the risks were clear in the documents for bonds in the four Italian banks, which are now worthless after last year’s rescue. Many small investors who lost money in bonds in those banks say they were deceived about the risks. “The prospectus is a document that is too long and complex to be read and completely understood by a saver,” Vegas said.
But he said that the bond prospectuses for the four banks — Banca Etruria, Banca Marche, Cassa di Risparmio di Chieti (CariChieti) and Cassa di Risparmio di Ferrara (CariFe) — did highlight the potential pitfalls.
“The prospectuses were drafted respecting the rules of transparency stipulated in the regulations,” Vegas said.
“They gave maximum prominence to all the risk factors connected to the complexity of the instruments and the situation the banks were in, specifying that there was a risk of losing all the capital invested”.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Wraps up One-Day Visit to Puerto Rico, Urges Congress to Act
Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew got a first-hand look at the humanitarian impact of Puerto Rico’s $70 billion debt crisis Monday, touring an elementary school struggling with limited electricity and a hospital unable to provide some basic services to infants.
“It can only get worse,” Lew told reporters as he toured Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School in San Juan with Gov. Alejandro Garcia Padilla.
The Obama administration hopes to jump-start congressional efforts to aid the U.S. territory, and Lew’s one-day trip focused attention on how the 3.5 million U.S. citizens living on the island are struggling with the worsening financial situation.

Cliven Bundy Sues Obama, Harry Reid, Nevada Officials
Cliven Bundy, the embattled cattle rancher from Nevada — whose property was surrounded and stormed by armed Bureau of Land Management agents over the course of several days in 2014 — has filed a complaint in federal court against President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid and others, alleging his constitutional rights were infringed.

The suit filed Tuesday and posted on Larry Klayman’s website names Obama, Reid, Clark County Commission Chairman Rory Reid — who is Harry Reid’s son — and U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro, accusing them of violating his constitutional rights and seeking a release from solitary confinement, as well as a dismissal of his indictment.

Electric, hybrid and other eco-friendly cars fill the air with as many toxins as dirty diesel vehicles, scientists have found.
The greener alternative produce more tiny particles from tyre and brake wear because batteries and other parts needed to propel them make them heavier.
It happens because when eco-cars accelerate or slow down the tyres and brakes wear faster, in turn producing more particulates. More particles are also whipped up from the road surface because of the extra weight.
These extra emissions are almost equal to the toxic particulates saved by reduced engine use, according to Jonathan Leake at The Sunday Times.
The research, led by Peter Achten and co-author Victor Timmers of Edinburgh University, is published in the journal Atmospheric Environment.
Achten said: ‘We found that non-exhaust emissions, from brakes, tyres and the road, are far larger than exhaust emissions in all modern cars.

Left’s Latest Anti-Free Speech Tactic: Road Blocks
The latest tactic by leftists looking to prevent political speech they disagree with is blockading the roads outside Republican political events in order to disrupt them.
At a number of recent events, community-organized protesters have shut down roadways and blocked access to Donald Trump’s speeches and rallies. These tactics are worth noting as we get closer to the Republican national convention to be held in Cleveland this summer.
The first known, successful road shutdown happened miles from a Trump event near Phoenix, Arizona in March. Scores of protesters defiantly blocked a road in order to stop people from being able to hear Donald Trump speak.

NASA’s Kepler Mission Announces Largest Collection of Planets Ever Discovered
NASA’s Kepler mission has verified 1,284 new planets — the single largest finding of planets to date.
“This announcement more than doubles the number of confirmed planets from Kepler,” said Ellen Stofan, chief scientist at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “This gives us hope that somewhere out there, around a star much like ours, we can eventually discover another Earth.”
Analysis was performed on the Kepler space telescope’s July 2015 planet candidate catalog, which identified 4,302 potential planets. For 1,284 of the candidates, the probability of being a planet is greater than 99 percent — the minimum required to earn the status of “planet.” An additional 1,327 candidates are more likely than not to be actual planets, but they do not meet the 99 percent threshold and will require additional study. The remaining 707 are more likely to be some other astrophysical phenomena. This analysis also validated 984 candidates previously verified by other techniques.

Ted and Heidi Cruz, Goldman Sachs, Kickbacks and Paybacks, Common Core, and Special Education… All Rolled Into One Big, Fat Mess

Little do parents realize that Common Core for babies and preschool programs in the pilot preschool program (and all Common Core K-12 schools) have an inordinate amount of social, emotional, and behavioral conditioning using Common Core psychological behavior modification programs. These programs originated in Applied Behavior Analysis, an applied intensive behavior modification program researched on autistic children to be able to function in the real world. Parental knowledge or consent is not provided for this Common Core psychobabble.
Pay For Success is a lousy concept of corruption using children for profit, called taxpayer double dipping, and paying someone off to do the dipping. Is this really reaping financial savings for the government? This is all done with a little twist of ethics-redefining the interventions, using handicapped children to provide a basis for a money grab, psychological child abuse for using these concepts on normal children, and gobs of federal money. This scheme should be turning many heads and must be investigated. [Source]
The pilot program in Utah used PFS as an intervention program in preschool. Goldman Sachs was paid an outcome payment of $2589.70 for each student not referred to Special Education. This program pays back a percentage of the investment to the financial partnership if FEWER children are reported to special education. But, did anyone question the programs or funding to create these statistics BEFORE this kickback was evaluated? NO! Questions were posed, but little has been done to stop the child abuse or the financial bleeding.
Understanding ESSA
The concept of direct student services, services carried out by IDEA Special Education funding, is the Common Core concept reinforced in the new federal education legislation, ESSA. Universal School-Wide Intervention Systems are blanketed on ALL children. ALL children are “At-Risk” and must be psychoanalyzed and treated in a three tiered process in the normal classroom. ALL CHILDREN are treated with psychological techniques normally used for severely handicapped students. The reason psychological techniques are used is because Common Core includes psychological non-academic behavioral standards (See both graphs that design behavioral interventions.]
Children with true mental or physical handicaps are NOT apprised with an actual IEP, or referred for a true special education evaluation, until going through the Response to Intervention (RTI) three-tiered process in the regular classroom. These services are based on the conditioning processes developed through Applied Behavior Analysis. Applied Behavior Analysis, a psychological conditioning technique, was renamed Response to Intervention to make it more palatable to parents.
The following behavior modification techniques are being used in the classroom and are actually listed in the ESSA legislation: response to interventions, RTI; positive behavior interventions supports, PBIS; multi-tiered system of supports, MTSS; School-wide multi-tiered system of supports, SWTSS; early intervening services, EIS; Specialized Instructional Support Services, SISS; and Universal Design for Learning, UDL.

Report: Facebook Suppresses Conservative Outlets, Amplifies ‘Black Lives Matter’
Anonymous sources at Facebook’s news team have confirmed to Gizmodo that, in addition to suppressing conservative news sources, the company suppresses stories about itself while artificially promoting stories about the Black Lives Matter movement.
This is the latest in the story of Facebook’s politically biased “trending” section, which we initially reported on last week. The anonymous source told Gizmodo that stories from conservative news sources like Breitbart were regularly suppressed by the company.
New details emerged today, with the anonymous employee revealing to Gizmodo that stories about Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, CPAC, and other conservative topics were prevented from reaching Facebook’s “trending” category. Furthermore, stories about progressive movements like Black Lives Matter were artificially promoted by the company.

Global Warming/Climate Change, Fear of Over population, Destruction of the Free Market, Common Core, Health Care, War on Cheap energy
Every day, in meetings at all levels of government, representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), planning groups, and federal agents surround elected representatives and insist that their policies have nothing to do with international agendas. They regularly publish reports and rail against anyone even mentioning the names Agenda 21 or the new Agenda 2030. “No, no, no,” they insist. “Those people are just crazy conspiracy theorists. Ours is just a local plan for our community.”
Elected Representatives are often confused. Issues and policies suddenly appear in front of them with sample, ready-made legislation. And then the unending pressure begins for them to pass it. There is confusion, uncertainty and there is the herd mentality to pass legislation. And it’s passed without knowledge of its origins, its purpose, and especially a lack of understanding of its consequences. “Just do it,” goes the mantra.
What most of these legislators fail to understand is the direct relationship much of this legislation has with a much larger agenda. Most legislation interconnects with other pieces and parts contained in other legislation. Like the children’s song goes…”the toe bone’s connected to the ankle bone…” And it’s done so well, wrapped in innocent-sounding, positive wrapping, so that most elected representatives will argue vigorously that they passed no such thing. And most of all, they will answer, Agenda 21, never heard of it. Just local. Just local. Just local.
Well, let me show you how it works and how the toe bone gets connected to the ankle bone ending up with the Frankenstein monster. Here are six issues that are rarely connected to Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development (especially when we are assured that Agenda 21 has nothing to do with local, state or federal government policy). However, these seemingly unrelated policies, once implemented, help enforce the stated Agenda 21 goal of “reorganizing human society.”
I. Global Warming/Climate Change
It has been so discredited in the true scientific community that proponents have become almost hysterical in their continued attempts to enforce Climate Change policy. Most recently the Justice Department is considering legal action against “deniers.” Why don’t they stop, even to question if their science is sound? They instead use great energy to attack any scientist who does dare ask questions or finds data contrary to the “official” line. Why is it so vitally important that they continue to promote something that clearly is, to say the least, questionable?
It’s because all of Agenda 21 policy is built on the premise that man is destroying the Earth. Climate Change is their “proof.” To eliminate that premise is to remove all credibility and purpose for their entire agenda. They are willing to go to any length, even lies, to keep the climate change foot on our throats.
On the local level this translates into planning policy that controls energy use and the efforts to cut down on the use of cars, enforcement of the building of expensive light rail train systems and bike paths and installation of smart meters, etc.
But don’t take my word for it. I’ll let them speak for themselves:
II. Fear of over population
Fear is the central driving force behind nearly every Sustainable policy initiative. It’s the real force behind Stack and Pack Smart Growth cities.
The fact is, in developed nations populations are actually going down. The only real growth in the US population in recent years has been from immigration, legal or otherwise. Open border immigration policy is actually implementation of Agenda 21 as part of the drive to destroy national sovereignty and “nation states.”
Environmentalists insist that the borders must be open to allow as many to immigrate here as possible. They argue that the U.S. has a greater ability to control them and protect the environment than if we left them in third world countries. That’s because the Greens already have a stranglehold over our nation’s industry through massive environmental regulations.
In the face of their fear of overpopulation, however, studies have shown that there is no world wide over population crisis. In fact one study insists that we could put the entire population of the world in an area the size of Texas with a population density of Paris, France. Over population, and its accompanying environmental degradation, is a problem primarily in countries where the poor are deprived by government to improve their conditions. Nations that refuse to legalize private property ownership for the masses, for example, are a primary reason for growing poverty.
Meanwhile, Sustainablists work to keep these nations from developing or increasing energy use, thereby keeping them poor. Green regulations stop the building of infrastructure. They panic at the idea of increased energy use in developing nations. Instead of working to solve the real problems-the root of poverty- they exploit the excuse of over population and advocate enforcing polices to drastically reduce populations. China’s brutal one child policy of forced abortions and sterilization has become their model.

The original American education system effectively provided an overall academic education from which students could choose their own futures. No longer. Today, the new curriculum has morphed into what is called Common Core. It’s a State run central curriculum that revamps schools into little more than job training and indoctrination centers.
Because, you see, today’s public education system is also designed to strip the children of their attitudes, values and beliefs that parents may have instilled, and indoctrinate them into accepting global values — global citizenship and a global economy based on the sustainable agenda. Little of American civics and history are taught in today’s classroom. But text books contain whole chapters on the Five Pillars of Islam, while ignoring the 10 Commandments of Christianity. The children are fed an unending diet of the evils of capitalism; the selfishness of individualism, and the social justice of redistribution of wealth. It punishes students for possessing individuality and is designed to eliminate such natural human tendencies. That is the “common” in Common Core. Common values, common goals, common future. Don’t rock the boat of a well ordered society.
Common Core is the nationally dictated curriculum necessary for the acceptance and implementation of Agenda 21.

Two people are dead after a suspect went on a stabbing rampage in Taunton, Massachusetts.
Arthur DaRosa, 28, of Taunton, stabbed two people at a home on Tuesday evening before driving to a mall and stabbing four more people inside, authorities said.
DaRosa went inside a home on Myrick Street and stabbed two women just after 7pm, District Attorney Thomas Quinn said.
One of them, who was 80 years old, died of her injuries. The other was taken to the hospital.
DaRosa then went to the Silver City Galleria Mall, about five miles away, and crashed his car into a Macy’s store.
He went inside and assaulted several people inside Macy’s, Quinn said.
DaRosa then made his way to Bertucci, an Italian restaurant at the mall, where he stabbed four more people…

Black women break down their support for presumptive nominee
Black women at an impromptu Donald Trump celebration rally in Temecula, California, expressed support for the presumptive GOP nominee.
“I’m supporting Donald Trump because [he’s] the ultimate game-changer,” one woman explained at the rally on Saturday, adding that she switched parties in order to support Trump.
“I’m trying to urge anyone that is Democrat that wants change to vote Republican.”
Another woman wearing a shirt that read “Mr. Trump build that wall” in capital letters also expressed her support for the populist New York frontrunner, and divulged she also switched parties.
“I used to be in the Democratic party, and I wised up. I became smart and I got out of the Democrat party. A lot of blacks out there don’t know that Martin Luther King was Republican. Also, Lincoln who freed the slaves was Republican.”
“Blacks need to wise up and come on the side to make history and be on the right side of history as a Republican.”

Here’s Why Canada’s Largest Water Bomber Wasn’t “Available” To Fight Wildfire in Fort Mac
The Martin Mars is Canada’s largest water bomber. It’s staged at Sproat Lake BC, a short flight away from Fort McMurray and could have been used in the fight against the massive wildfire nicknamed “The Beast” by Fort Mac fire chief Darby Allen. But it wasn’t.
The bomber wasn’t there because the company that owns it wasn’t asked by Alberta government officials to make it available to fight fires in Alberta.
In response to a deluge of questions from concerned people wondering why the company hasn’t sent their massive water bomber to help, Coulson Flying Tankers released this statement:
“Firstly, if there was a request by the Alberta Government to contract the Martin Mars, we would do everything in our power to support the request. In fact, we have offered one of our C-130’s that could be made available immediately, to the Alberta Government however they currently do not see a need for it at the moment. We have our crews for it on standby, regardless. Next to the Mars at 7200 US gallons, our C-130’s are the largest propeller driven air tankers in the world with a 4400 US gallon capacity. Secondly, in the firefighting business it is the government that has operational control of the aircraft. No aircraft operator in the world can simply go and put out a fire, even if they wanted to and if someone ever did, they would be facing serious criminal charges.The Mars is currently going through it’s yearly inspection. Based on the fact no government has any interest whatsoever in the aircraft fighting fire, we have decided to take the Mars to the Oshkosh Air Show in late July in hopes of finding another business or home for it, keeping it somewhat operational.”
So the bomber was ready and available for the Alberta government to hire to fight the fire. But it wasn’t contracted.
Premier Notley said that “every single resource that is needed to fight that fire will be dedicated no holds barred.” Sure. Except contracting the Martin Mars when it was available and the C130 bomber and flight crew that Coulson Flying Tankers is offering. The government hasn’t taken them up on their offer of help because they do not see the need.

Austria: Socialist Quits as FPÖ Victory Looms
Austrian chancellor Werner Faymann has resigned following a revolt from inside his Socialist Democratic Party-and a new poll indicates that the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) is on its way to a crushing victory in the second round of presidential elections.
The poll-conducted after the first live television debate between the FPÖ’s Norbert Hofer and the Green-communist Alexander Van Der Bellen-showed that 64 percent now favor Hofer.
Faymann’s resignation-which the FPÖ described as a “beautiful day for Austria”-came after his party’s defeat by the FPÖ in the first round of the presidential elections last month, where the SPÖ candidate polled so few votes that he did not make it into the second round.
Following that result, internal opposition to Faymann within the SPÖ boiled over into open revolt. Faymann cited his lack of support within the party as the reason for his resignation.
“Do I have full cover … strong support within the party? I must say the answer is no,” Faymann said. “I draw the consequences from this low level of support and step down from my positions as party leader and federal chancellor.”
Faymann has come under pressure in his party over his policy of imposing tighter restrictions on “asylum seekers”-measures which have had little real substance to them but have been enough to fire up the far left of his party.

Germany: ‘Islamist’ Stabbing: Man ‘Shouting Allahu Akbar’ Kills 1, Injures 3 in Munich
One person has died and three more were injured in a suspected Islamist knife attack at a station near the German city of Munich. The attacker reportedly shouted “allahu akbar” as he carried out the stabbing.
The attacker, believed to be a 27-year-old German citizen, was apprehended at the scene.

How Brexit Could Lead to Other EU Countries Following the UK Out
Nearly half of citizens in eight European Union countries want a referendum on the union like the one due to be held in the UK next month, according to a new poll.
In the Ipsos Mori survey, more than 50 per cent of French and Italian citizens wanting a vote on the union and half of those asked believed that if Britain left the EU, there would be a domino effect with other countries following its exit.
A third of those asked said they would vote to leave the union if a referendum was held now with 48 and 41 per cent of Italian and French respondents saying they would vote to leave.

Italian Police Detain Third Man Over Terror Attack Plans
Pakistani stopped in Milan
(ANSA) — Bari, May 10 -Italian police have detained a third man linked to an investigation into alleged plans to stage terror attacks in Italy and Britain, ANSA sources close to the operation said on Tuesday.
Bari resident Zulfiqar Amjad, a 24-year-old from Pakistan, was stopped in Milan and accused of aiding illegal immigration Earlier, two Afghan nationals were detained by Carabinieri police. Hakim Nasiri, 23, is accused of international terrorism, and Gulistan Ahmadzai, is accused of aiding illegal immigration.
Two people are still wanted in relation to the probe, suspected of terrorism offences. A police detention order names them as Qari Khesta Mir Ahmadzai, 30, and Surgul Ahmadzai, 28.
They were resident at a migrant reception centre in Bari.
All five suspects had obtained rights to stay in Italy and to humanitarian assistance and protection in recent months.
Two of the suspects had visited seven cities in 9 days, the detention order documentation showed. Cities visited included London, Milan, Paris and Istanbul.
Material investigators found belonging to them included photos taken in front of an Italian navy ship in the port of Bari, images of weapons, of Taleban militants and audio files downloaded from the web with radical Islamist prayers and indoctrination.

Italy: Speranza Slams Renzi for ‘Purging’ Lacorazza
‘Inconsiderate, illegitimate, divisive’ says PD lawmaker
(ANSA) — Rome, May 10 — MP Roberto Speranza, leader of a leftwing dissenting minority within Premier Matteo Renzi’s Democratic Party (PD), on Tuesday accused the premier of “purging” Basilicata Regional Council President Piero Lacorazza, who backed an anti-oil drilling referendum Renzi opposed. Renzi yesterday proposed a “moratorium” on party infighting, pending June local elections and an October referendum on his flagship constitutional reform law. “The first act of Renzi’s moratorium… was the purging of (Lacorazza),” Speranza said, calling the move “inconsiderate, illegitimate, and divisive”. The Basilicata council replaced Lacorazza with Franco Mollica from the small centrist UdC party, a junior member of the ruling left-right coalition along with Renzi’s PD.
The PD caucus leader in the Basilicata council resigned in protest after Lacorazza’s downfall.
“I remit the mandate to the caucus,” tweeted Roberto Cifarelli, who shares Lacorazza and Speranza’s political position.
Supporters of the referendum — which was promoted by nine Adriatic coastal regions and environmentalists — said offshore drilling damages the marine ecosystem on which Italy’s tourist and fishing industries depend and that the risk is not worth the reward.
Renzi and former president of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, urged voters to abstain to prevent a quorum being reached. The referendum was a flop.

At the end of April, an updated draft for the Dutch dragnet surveillance bill was leaked. It turns out that minister of the Interior Ronald Plasterk persists on granting the secret services the power to carry out bulk interception of innocent citizens’ communications.
How did we get here? Ever since the law was announced in 2013, one of the main concerns of the debate has been how the dragnet will function and how extensive it will actually be. It led to a squabble between Plasterk and members of parliament. The latter weren’t keen on the idea of a dragnet, so Plasterk decided to rename it. Bulk interception became “purpose-oriented” interception. It sounded different, true, but we were afraid the meaning had been left unchanged.
Squabbles be squabbles The bill remained vague. Based on the draft that was released for public consultation in September 2015, a dragnet could definitely be in our future. The explanatory memorandum didn’t do much towards clearing things up. We weren’t alone in voicing harsh criticism about what was being proposed. After all, the government has to be clear about their plans and the extent of their reach.
The dragnet rears its head… After months of radio silence, on April 20th the Netherlands Broadcasting Foundation NOS disclosed a number of examples of how the dragnet will be implemented. The examples came a confidential document that been presented by the government to providers for consideration. They demonstrate that Plasterk plans to interpret the law a lot broader than he said he would.

Scotland: Man Arrested for Comedy Video Training Dog to ‘Nazi Salute’
Scottish cops acting as PC police arrested a man for a comedy video he posted online where he trained his girlfriend’s dog to perform a “Nazi salute” when he says “gas the Jews.”

Swedish Police: ‘Beggars Limit Access for Disabled’
Begging is not illegal in Stockholm but police say those who do it could be breaking ‘accessibility’ rules by blocking pavements.
Police in Sweden’s capital have begun a campaign designed to highlight some of the challenges posed by the city’s beggars — who are mostly EU migrants from Romania and Bulgaria — setting up shop on Stockholm’s streets, often surrounded by several bags of belongings.
“Our campaign ‘a sidewalk is accessible for everyone’ is about making sure people who are disabled in any way don’t have to go around billboards, garbage bags, lights, bikes or beggars who are basically settled on the sidewalk,” Mats Eriksson, a communications officer for Stockholm police told Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter.

UK: ‘Praise Allah’ Bus Slogans Get Green Light Just Months After Lord’s Prayer Ad Gets Banned
BUS adverts are set to carry a slogan praising Allah just months after a clip featuring the Lord’s prayer was banned from cinemas
The slogan reads ‘Subhan Allah’ — which translates as ‘Glory be to God’ — and will feature on hundreds of buses across the country as part of a campaign by the Islamic Relief.
The group have targeted the ad campaign to raise money for victims of the Syrian Civil War during the holy month of Ramadan in June, when muslims traditionally fast and give to charity.
But the campaign has caused anger among some Christian groups after an advert featuring the lords prayer was banned from UK cinemas in the run up to Christmas.

UK: ‘My Blood is Boiling’ LBC Callers’ Fury at BBC Job Advert White People Cannot Apply for
A JOB advert for a role at the BBC which was only open to UK nationals from a black, Asian or non-white ethnic minority has been heavily criticised.
Outraged callers rang in to vent their fury on LBC to host Katie Hopkins, who had earlier tweeted an image of the BBC job ad.
The internship ad was placed online by Creative Access, which was founded in 2012 to provide opportunities for paid internships for people of black, Asian and other non-white ethnic backgrounds (BAME).
At one point Hopkins said: “What I hate is that as a taxpayer I am paying for the BBC and it doesn’t want to take my white children and give them employment.”
One caller, Paul, from Forest Gate in east London, said: “My point is that we are losing our heritage, our nationality. We’re losing it all because as soon as you say something you are classed as racist.”

UK: Greater Manchester Police Sorry for ‘Muslim Terrorist’ Mock Blast
Police who staged a mock attack featuring a bomber shouting “Allahu Akbar” have been forced to apologise for racial stereotyping.
The exercise — criticised for using a fake “Muslim terrorist” — was to test the response of emergency services.
Eight hundred volunteers took part in the overnight drill to make it as realistic as possible.
Greater Manchester Police said the event at the Trafford Centre was not linked to any specific terror threat.
Manchester peace activist Dr Erinma Bell criticised the use of a “Muslim terrorist”.
She said “a terrorist can be anyone” and “we need to move away from stereotypes”.[…]

A Muslim Police Chief Inspector for Greater Manchester has indicated that, according to his understanding, “Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of offending culture, religion or tradition”.
Chief Inspector Umer Khan made the statement on social media this weekend, and was immediately questioned by alarmed free speech campaigners.
He then apologised to those defending the right to be offensive for any “offence cause”, and argued that, “free speech should be used to promote tolerance & respect all.”

A mother who stabbed her two young daughters to death said afterwards: ‘If I can’t have them, he can’t have them either’, a jury has heard.
Samira Lupidi, 24, sobbed in the dock as she went on trial accused of murdering 17-month-old Jasmine Weaver and three-year-old Evelyn Lupidi at a women’s refuge.
At one point, Lupidi was so upset she had to leave the courtroom as prosecutors outlined how the girls were found in their beds, each with nine stab wounds to the chest.

In his latest interview with Radio Sputnik International marking the V-E Day, Srdja Trifkovic discusses the gap between public perceptions of the Allied powers’ relative contribution to the defeat of Nazi Germany and historical reality. [Audio file]
Sputnik: In recent opinion polls in the U.S. and Europe, only 15 percent of respondents named the USSR as the country that played the key role in defeating the Nazis in World War Two. The majority of respondents in the United States (79 percent), France (58 percent) and half of those in Germany (50 percent) said that the US Army played a pivotal role in the victory over Nazism. More than a half of Britons (59 percent) think that their country led the fight against Nazism, while only 11 percent named the United States and 15 percent mentioned the USSR.
ST: I would have expected the majority to opt for the U.S. in most Western countries, but not such a massive majority. It indicates that with each successive generation the historical narrative is being further and further distorted. Let me just recapitulate the facts: some 80 to 85 percent of the losses incurred by the Wehrmacht were inflicted by the Red Army. The role of Britain in the proceedings was relatively peripheral. Of course Britain played an important role in rejecting Hitler’s offer of peace after the fall of France in the summer of 1940, but thereafter it was really a Russian show — and in the west the Americans had the upper hand in Italy, the D-Day landings and thereafter. The USSR accounted for at least four-fifths of all German military losses during the war. A citywide manhunt is still on in Jerusalem for the terrorists who carried out the attack earlier Tuesday morning, which left two elderly Jewish women moderately wounded.
The latest stabbing attack to hit the Israeli capital — which comes amid an apparent lull in Arab terrorism — was particularly shocking in that the two young Arab terrorists specifically targeted a group of elderly women in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, stabbing them multiple times before fleeing the scene.[…]

Palestinians: Israeli ‘Holocaust’ Against us is Worse Than Nazis
The reverberations from Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Yair Golan’s comments on Holocaust Remembrance Day refuse to disappear.
Disturbingly, Palestinians are now jumping on the remarks in order to claim that Israel is carrying out “an even more barbaric and discriminatory Holocaust” than that which the Nazis perpetrated against the Jews.
Palestinian Media Watch quoted an opinion peace from the official Palestinian Authority paper al-Hayat al-Jadida, in which the author, Omar Hilmi al-Ghul, twists General Golan’s words into “proof” that Israel is unjustly executing Palestinians.
Al-Ghul wrote: “Israeli Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan said… ‘If there’s something that frightens me about Holocaust remembrance it’s the recognition of the revolting processes that occurred in Europe in general, and particularly in Germany… and finding signs of them here among us today in 2016.’ Here he is referring to the field executions of Palestinian girls and children within the 48 territories (i.e. inside of the Green Line) and at Israeli checkpoints in Hevron, Jerusalem, Shechem, Bethlehem and Jenin.”
These allegations were then used as alleged evidence to declare that “The Zionist Movement and its central pillar — the Hebrew State — are recreating the horrors of the Holocaust against the Jews in the 40s of the twentieth century, in an even more barbaric and discriminatory Holocaust against the Palestinians.” He further claimed that “The Israeli values, both political and military… are the same values that dominated Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany. But the German racism against the Jewish people has become the Jewish-Israeli racism against those who identify as part of the Palestinian and Arab nations.”[…]

Ancient Trade Routes Written in Camel Genes
A study of one of the world’s most important domesticated animals — the dromedary camel — has revealed how its genetic diversity has been shaped by ancient trade routes.
Scientists examined DNA samples from more than 1,000 one-humped camels.
Despite populations being hundreds of miles apart, they were genetically very similar.
The domesticated dromedary was adopted as a beast of burden around 3,000 years ago and, well into the 20th Century, trade caravans that sometimes consisted of thousands of animals, would transport goods across the deserts of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

A British husband has pleaded for Iran to free his wife after detaining her without charge for five weeks and separating her from her 22-month-old daughter.
Charity worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was at the airport preparing to fly home to Britain after a holiday visiting her family when she was detained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The 37-year-old, from West Hampstead, London, has reportedly been transferred to an unknown location in Kerman Province, 620 miles south of the capital Tehran, and is being held in solitary confinement.
She has not been able to call out of the country to speak to her British husband, Richard Ratcliffe, while The Red Cross have not been able to make contact.
Her 22-month-old daughter Gabriella Ratcliffe, who only has British citizenship, has had her passport confiscated, her family say, and is stranded in Iran with her grandparents.
Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has dual British-Iranian nationality, has not been allowed to access to a lawyer or her daughter since she was detained at the check-in desks of Imam Khomeini International Airport on April 3, her family say.
There have been no charges and she has reportedly informed her family that she has been ordered to sign a confession under duress — its content unknown.
Her family say they have been told that the investigation relates to an issue of ‘national security’.

‘Life is Horrible’: Syria’s Christians Fear Total Genocide
Only a handful of mostly sick or elderly Christians remain in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, and Syrian Christians fear the forces that have brought that city’s population of Gospel followers to the brink of extinction could do the same for the entire nation.
An estimated dozen Christian families are still in the northern city, forced under threat of execution to convert, pay an “infidel” tax or go into hiding. Forbidden from leaving, they also face death from attacks directed at ISIS by Damascus, Russia and the U.S.-led Western coalition.
“We are trying to help them escape or stay safe, in hiding,” said Ayman Abdel Nour, executive director of Syrian Christians for Peace. “Their life is horrible. The people of Raqqa are being forced to live like it was 1,400 years ago.”

Obama to Visit Hiroshima as Part of Japan Trip
In a moment seven decades in the making, President Barack Obama this month will become the first sitting American president to visit Hiroshima, where the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb, decimated a city and shot the world into the Atomic Age.
Obama will visit the site with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during a previously scheduled trip to Japan, the White House announced Tuesday.
The president intends to “highlight his continued commitment to pursuing the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said. Obama will not apologize, the White House made clear.

Italy: Olsen Murder Suspect ‘Not in Flat When She Died’
Diaw defence argues based on new autopsy information
(ANSA) — Florence, May 10 — The defence for the chief suspect in the murder of American national Ashley Olsen argued in court Tuesday their client could not have committed the crime, because he was no longer in the flat at the victim’s time of death.
The defence asked to see CCTV footage from the streets around Olsen’s apartment on January 9, the day her Italian artist boyfriend Federico Fiorentini found her in her flat with trauma to the head and signs of ligature strangulation. Olsen, 35, also an artist, had been out of touch with Fiorentini for a few days following an argument, and had spent the night with defendant Cheik Tidiane Diaw, a 27-year-old Senegalese national.
CCTV footage showed him leaving her flat at 11:30 that morning, but an autopsy put the victim’s time of death at 12-12:30 — information that was only released to the defence today.
“This is why we believe another person was at the scene of the crime,” Diaw’s defence attorneys told the court.
As well, the autopsy showed Olsen’s head trauma was caused two hours before her death — which also implies someone other than the defendant could have strangled her later. According to initial reports, Diaw admitted under interrogation to being responsible for her death but said it was not intentional. He said he had sexual relations with Olsen after meeting her in a club and going to her home.
He said they subsequently argued and she banged her head after he pushed her.
He was identified with the help of footage from surveillance cameras that showed him going from a club to Olsen’s home with her.
Olsen, originally from Florida, was living in Florence where her father, an architect, works at an art school.
An autopsy found that she had been strangled with a cord or rope.

Kenya Closing Refugee Camp That’s ‘Breeding Ground for Terror’
‘The message is clear … we will not accept more’
A United Nations refugee camp from which hundreds of Shariah-compliant Somali migrants are sent to the United States every month for permanent resettlement has been ordered shut down by its host country.
The government of Kenya has said “no more” to the burgeoning refugee movement that has been spilling across its borders since the 1990s.
It announced it will take action to close two camps, including the Daadab camp near its border with Somalia that is considered one of the world’s largest refugee centers, housing 328,000 Somalis. The other at Kakuma houses 190,000 refugees from South Sudan.
The Kenyan government also disbanded its Department of Refugee Affairs, which worked with humanitarian organizations for the welfare of the refugees.
“The message is clear; we are closing the camps and we will not accept more refugees in the country,” Mwenda Njoka, interior ministry spokesman, told DW.com.
Njoka added that the new regulations were primarily aimed at Somali refugees, who are coming from a nation with an active jihadist uprising being carried out by al-Shabab, an affiliate of al-Qaida.
The government said the camps have been a drag on its economy and a threat to its national security.

Migrant Housing Crisis: Britain Needs to Build Two Million New Homes Just for EU Arrivals
BRITAIN will need to build almost TWO MILLION new homes just to cater for immigrants arriving from the EU if we do not vote to leave the Brussels club, a senior Tory has warned today.
Iain Duncan-Smith said we will need to create 240 houses every day for the next 20 years to cope with a huge wave of immigration from eastern Europe as he blasted the EU’s uncaring elite.
The senior Eurosceptic warned that uncontrolled immigration is pricing young British people out of the housing market, with two-thirds of the available properties over the last 15 years being occupied by foreign nationals.
And he said that with the average age of the first time buyer now at 31, the prospects of young British people looking to start their own families will only get bleaker if we vote to stay in the EU.
He made the remarks in a keynote speech railing against Europe’s elite, who he says have betrayed low paid workers in favour of big banks and tax dodging multinationals.
The former Work and Pensions Secretary blasted Brussels as a “force for social injustice” and urged better off Britons to think of the less well off when casting their vote on June 23.

Obama Administration Cooperates With the UN on Open Borders

President Obama is reportedly planning to accelerate the screening process for Syrians claiming refugee status, so that they can be rapidly resettled in communities across the United States.
The Washington Beacon has reported that, according to its sources, “The Obama administration has committed to bring at least 10,000 Syrian refugees onto American soil in fiscal year 2016 by accelerating security screening procedures from 18-24 months to around three months.”
The Obama administration is also working with the United Nations to find shortcuts that would allow different types of visas to be issued to self-proclaimed “refugees” on a much quicker basis than the standard refugee vetting and resettlement route.

Court Orders Dad to Start Treating His 11-Year-Old Daughter as a Boy

The American College of Pediatricians, a voluntary association of medical practitioners, recently released a statement declaring that “Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”
The statement adds that while nine out of 10 gender dysphoric children ultimately accept their biological sex, those that do not are committed to “a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and [will] likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults.” But even youth who go no further than the hormone blocker and then revert to their natural gender may still need hormone injections just to achieve normal puberty.

San Francisco School Attempts to Rig Student Elections for ‘Diversity’
SAN FRANCISCO — Administrators at Raoul Wallenberg High School attempted to rig freshman student elections to inject “diversity” into the student leadership, and it blew up in their face.
Wallenberg freshman James Ortiz told the San Francisco Examiner that school officials pushed him to run for student council because of his Hispanic last name, though he identifies as white. And when the 15-year-old didn’t win, they attempted to unseat the newly elected class vice president so Ortiz could replace her.
