The Radioactive Jihad Arrives

As most readers will remember, last September a mob of “refugees” stormed the border fence between Serbia and Hungary, egged on by a man with a red megaphone who sat on someone’s shoulders. The Hungarians arrested a number of people for their part in the violence. Several of the perpetrators went on trial earlier this month.

A couple of weeks ago Vlad found an English-language video made by a woman who understands Hungarian. She based her report on a Facebook post, which said among other things that one of the men on trial had had uranium residue on his clothes when he was arrested, and that experts who testified said there was no known way he could have acquired it without having been present inside a nuclear power plant or nuclear weapons laboratory.

I asked Dzsihádfigyelo to take a look at the Facebook page on which the video report was based, and he sent back some material about the case, including this translation of the FB post, written by Georg Spöttle, a security expert:

‘Stories from the Thousand and One Nights’

Yesterday the trial of the “Röszke battle” culprits begun in Szeged City. Since I am a police officer I am used to hearing lies, but this time I, too, was flabbergasted.

The culprits claimed they had not known it was a crime to cross the border illegally. This is not very plausible, since it has serious consequences in all the countries of the world.

However, they were way too unabashed in saying how their own efforts to knock down the border fence had been misinterpreted — as if it had been opened for them by the authorities. What is more, the Syrian man accused by throwing stones told the judge he had just wanted to clean the road, that is why he had been holding the stones. ‘He had been ordered to do so by another man with a red megaphone.’ So they did not even attack the policemen, they were only cleaning the border zone. He did not even understand why he was taken into custody. Of course, he accused the Hungarian police of assaulting him while being remanded in custody.

On the clothing of one of the culprits (pictures were also found showing him posing with weapons) gunpowder was found. This may have come from the police tear gas sprays as well. However, a granule containing uranium was found on his clothing, and there is no logical explanation for it. Normally, this ore may only come into contact with someone if they work in a nuclear power plant or nuclear laboratory, or perhaps, if one is a terrorist…

— Georg Spöttle

The probable original source of the Facebook post was a media report, since the press was present at the trial.

Hamed Abdel-Samad: Islam is Not Compatible With Democracy

Hamed Abdel-Samad is an Egyptian-German author and an apostate from Islam who lives under a death fatwa for his criticism of his former faith. Rembrandt Clancy has translated and subtitled an interview with Mr. Abdel-Samad that aired yesterday in Germany. The translator includes an introduction, and also a transcript of the video.

Introduction

The video below contains an interview with Hamed Abdel-Samad by one of Germany’s public broadcasters, the ARD. Born and raised in Egypt and the son of a Sunni imam, Mr. Abdel-Samad is an author and an apostate from Islam under police protection. He came to Germany in 1995 at the age of 23.

The subject of the interview arises from recent statements by politicians of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party to the effect that Islam is incompatible with liberal democracy (cf. Gates of Vienna). A draft policy has just been published and it contains an Article entirely devoted to Islam’s “strained relationship to the democratic world order”. The policy is to be discussed at a party convention to be held in two weeks’ time.

Deputy party leader Beatrix von Storch is quoted in the video interview from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung which reports her as saying that

“Islam is inherently a political ideology, which is incompatible with the Constitution,”

Referring to Islam’s paraphernalia, she said:

“We are in favour of a ban on minarets, on muezzins and for a ban on full body coverings.”

Alexander Gauland, party whip for the AfD in Brandenburg and a deputy party leader, made a statement along the same lines:

“Islam is not a religion in the same way as Catholic or Protestant Christianity, but is intellectually always connected with the takeover of the state. For that reason the Islamisation of Germany is dangerous,”

At the basis of these quotations is the party platform [pdf] of the AfD’s Federal Association (Bundesverband). The lengthy Article 7.6, “Islam in strained relationship with our liberal-democratic World Order”, contains the following section which provides an idea of the spirit of the document:

“The AfD rejects the minaret as an Islamic symbol of dominance as much as it does the call of the muezzin, according to which there is no God except the Islamic Allah. The minaret and the call of the muezzin stand in contradiction to a tolerant coexistence of the religions which the Christian churches practise in the modern age.” (Section 7.6.3, 19-22)

Article 7.6 contains the following sections:

7.6.1 Islam does not belong to Germany
7.6.2 Criticism of Islam must be permitted
7.6.3 Foreign financing of the mosques must be ended
7.6.4 No statutory corporation for Islamic organisations
7.6.5 Prohibition of full body covering

This last section (7.6.5) is noteworthy in that it is finally at least a quasi-official application of standards to Muslims which the Frankfurt School requires as a template only for the European cultural sphere:

The AfD calls for a general prohibition of the full body covering by the burka and niqab in public and in the public service.

Burka and niqab erect a barrier between the wearer and their surroundings and impede thereby cultural integration and social coexistence. A prohibition is therefore necessary and lawful pursuant to the judgement of the EuGH (European Court of Justice).

No headscarf is to be worn in the public service; in educational institutions, neither by teachers nor by students following the French model.

The headscarf as a religio-political sign of subordination of Muslim women to the man is inconsistent with the integration and equal rights of women and girls as well as the unimpeded development of personality.

Giant Hogweeds: The Vegetable Muslims of the Kingdom of Plantae?

by Seneca III

Early morning a couple of days ago (18/04/16, or, for our cousins over the pond, 04/18/16) I stumbled across two articles in the online version of the Daily Express. They were not sequential, but well separated in terms of visual presentation so at first they didn’t really register as in any way connected. To a passing observer such as I they could have been just another example of ships that pass in the night as the passengers sleep blissfully in their bunks.

However having fed the cat, had a shower and breakfasted, I then sat in quiet contemplation considering what to do on this the first day in ages that had dawned without any immediate obligations demanding my time (go fishing, open another book, hit the pub at opening time and stay until closing or simply lie back and do sod all?) but that bloody-minded little Elf that lives between my ears decided to put its boot into my gentle ruminations and prompted me to look again more carefully. Over the years I have learned to pay attention to its evil kicks as they have proved fruitful time and time again, as they did this time.

The first article was entitled: ‘Giant HOGWEED invasion: Warning as TOXIC weed capable of horror burns to INFEST Britain[1] This, for once, is no media exaggeration. Heracleum mantegazzianum is member of the plant family Apiaceae — superficially it resembles Heracleum sosnowskyi, the (harmless) Common Hogweed — and is native to Central Asia. Contact with the sap of the Giant Hog[2] causes severe blistering, long-lasting scars and blindness. These reactions are caused by the poison in its leaves, roots, stems, flowers, and seeds — toxins that penetrate into the nucleus of human cells and form a bond with the DNA, thus causing the cells to die. The resultant brown colour of the scars is caused by the toxin’s producing melanin during this process.

Heracleum mantegazzianum was introduced into Britain in the 19th century as a decorative plant and it is now widespread throughout the British Isles; it soon spread to Germany, France and Belgium as well, where it has overwhelmed the native species. Giant Hogweed was also introduced into the US, in New York, around 1917 and is now extensively spread in the north-eastern and north-western states and southern Canada where, as it does throughout its global range, it colonises by rapidly reproducing and forming dense stands that displace native plants and destroy indigenous wildlife.

In the UK it is an offence under the Countryside Act 1981 to plant or grow it, and because of its invasive and toxic nature it is often actively removed. In the USA H. mantegazzianum is regulated as a ‘federal noxious weed’ and it is illegal to import it or move it interstate without a permit.

The second article to which the Elf drew my attention was titled: ‘Hundreds of Syrian refugees to be housed in UK city plagued by homelessness[3], and this is where the obvious link between the two articles becomes clear. Homo servus moratur (Islam) is a primitive subset of the family Homo sapiens sapiens; it was introduced en masse into the West beginning in the late 20th century and with malignant intent. In some superficial ways it does physically resemble the indigenous inhabitants of those biomes that it is colonising, but that is where any resemblance ends.

However if, as I suspect, you, dear readers, have read the articles referenced you will have no doubt figured out precisely where this rant is heading, so instead of my re-iterating the main points of the second article, I encourage you to indulge yourselves in a little box ticking below from which you will be able to draw your own conclusions:

Orlando: March for Persecuted Christians and Jews

The third annual March for Persecuted Christians and Jews has just concluded in Orlando, Florida. Below is a report on the event sent by Elaine, one of the participants in the March and associated events.

Report on March for Persecuted Christians and Jews

Orlando, Florida
April 17-18, 2016

For the third year in a row, concerned Christians and Jews gathered in Orlando to march in support of the millions of persecuted Christians worldwide. This year, the march included a representative of the Jewish faith.

Christians around the world, especially in the Middle East and North Korea, are currently mercilessly persecuted and killed. By and large, the world, and in particular the mainstream Christian churches, have been watching silently. What began in Vienna, Austria, eight years ago in December with an annual torchlight march now also takes a place in Orlando, Florida, thanks to the tireless efforts of Pastor Bruce Lieske, Alan Kornman and the Burning Bush Ministries. A silent march of concerned citizens and international guest speakers processed around Lake Eola in downtown Orlando.

Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolf

This year the speakers included Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff*, a board member of Pax Europa and the Wiener Akademikerbund, who spoke about the origins of the March in Vienna, and the ongoing struggle against religious persecution on both sides of the Atlantic.

Also present was Rabbi Jonathan Hausman of Ahavath Torah congregation in Stoughton, MA. His attendance was particularly welcomed as Jews are especially vulnerable once again as the Islamization of both Europe and the United States increases. As Elisabeth noted in her speech, “Christians and Jews must march side by side against the persecution and abuse. We must not allow the persecution of people and their religious beliefs in the guise of misconceived tolerance and suppression of freedom of speech.”

The event ended with a mock ISIS-style execution and the recitation of a poem written for this purpose describing the horror of the Koran-sanctioned beheading of 21 Christians on the shores of Benghazi, Libya. The audience was left stunned.

It was painful to note the growing lack of interest and attendance at this March. Despite a year-long effort by the organizers, none of the numerous churches in the Orlando area, save one fellowship church, supported their brothers and sisters. As far as could be ascertained, no Jews made their way to Lake Eola. Have we been dhimmified into silence already?

Thilo Sarrazin: What Price is Europe Paying for the Refugee Agreement?

Thilo Sarrazin is the author of Deutschland schafft sich ab (“Germany Abolishes Itself”), an anti-immigration book that cost him his position on the board of Deutsche Bundesbank and made him a pariah among his former comrades in the Social Democrats. The following op-ed by Mr. Sarrazin, which was published on Sunday at the blog Die Achse des Guten, has been translated by Rembrandt Clancy.

Frau Merkel Assumes a Reserved Stance

by Thilo Sarrazin

17 April 2016

The past weeks have brought two deciding events, which could become the turning points for German (and European) contemporary history:

The Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) entered three additional state parliaments with double-digit returns. In Saxony-Anhalt and Baden-Württemberg they became the second largest party; in Rhineland-Palatinate they won more votes than the Greens and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) combined, and then with an unusually high voter participation. With respect to the overriding refugee question, many citizens apparently perceived the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Social Democratic Party (SPD), Greens and the Left parties to be an opinion cartel and voted for the only party which called for an alternate refugee and immigration policy.

The coming months will show whether the as yet entirely inexperienced AfD (Alternative für Deutschland) mature into a major conservative party and overcome their relegation to the right-wing fringe. But this period will also show whether the other parties have understood the message of these elections. Many initial reactions give cause for doubt. The predominant analysis of established parties was that 75 to 85 percent of the voters did not choose the AfD, and this circumstance allows them to point to an overwhelming approval of the federal government’s refugee policy. Angela Merkel in particular acts as if the election results are of no importance to her federal government policy. As always it was Horst Seehofer of the Union, who as the only leading politician, dissented. But this dissent has a more muted effect each time it occurs, since it obviously does not lead to action. [Union: Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union (CSU) collectively]

Finding relief from the strongest enemies of the refugee policy

The federal government is finding relief in the strongest enemies of their refugee policy: the closure of the Balkan route launched in concert by Austria and the Balkan states led to dramatically declining arrival figures. Shortly before Easter, there were in fact several evenings in which refugees were not featured in the lead story of the television news. Good people in responsible positions were able to sidestep responsibility: The decline in the refugee numbers provided urgently needed relief, whilst their own welcoming culture need not be called into question.

The second deciding event was the EU refugee summit with Turkey. It left numerous questions open to be sure, but the nucleus of the agreement with Turkey nevertheless put a great deal in motion: if in future Greece actually sends back to Turkey all newly arriving refugees, soon there will no longer be anyone left to embark on this refugee route. Success of one part of the agreement means that the other part will run dry: if only a few refugees leave Turkey for Greece, only a few will also return; and the number of other refugees whom Turkey can then pass on to Europe as compensation will be correspondingly small.

On the other hand, in other respects this is good; for at the refugee summit, there was clearly no attempt made to agree a method for the distribution of refugees and illegal immigrants throughout the Schengen area. But such a settlement is prerequisite to the ability of the Schengen system to function at all over the long term.

The question of terrorism cannot be meaningfully separated from the refugee question

A large number of Schengen countries have reservations about the further reception of refugees and illegal immigrants. That applies not only to the Eastern European states, but also to countries like France and Belgium. The integration of Muslims in those countries has succeeded only partially. The terrorist attacks which so rocked the two countries came from these groups. Moreover, it became clear from the connections which have been disclosed over the past weeks, that it is no longer possible to meaningfully separate the question of terrorism from the refugee question. The secret services are also aware of that, but the confusion in people’s minds has become much greater. Inevitably those political factions fundamentally in critical opposition to immigration from the Islamic cultural sphere will be strengthened.

Public Meeting on Asylum Housing in Stockholm: A Roomful of Angry Swedes

When Swedes get publicly angry about “refugee” housing, you know that the migrant crisis has gotten out of control.

The following video shows excerpts from a municipal council meeting in Spånga-Tensta, a northwestern suburb of Stockholm. Much of the area around Spånga is already culturally enriched, but the borough authorities are planning to enrich it even further by putting in housing for several thousand asylum-seekers — right next to a primary school.

By now most Swedes have become aware of what large concentrations of migrants tend to do, especially to women and little girls, so the locals who showed up en masse at the public portion of the council meeting were already hot under the collar. There was no more tugging of the forelock and “permission to speak, sir” this time — it was: “We demand answers! NOW!”

Highly unusual behavior for Swedes. The situation must be grave indeed.

Pay special attention to the chairman of the council, who is a member of the Green Party and a culture-enricher himself.

Many thanks to Tania G. for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

Jan Sjunnesson is a dissident Swedish journalist who was present at the meeting and assisted with the translation. In the interview below he explains the context for what happened that night. As he points out, the vast majority of the angry citizens who packed the room had voted for the parties that advocated bringing more immigrants into Sweden, and not for the Sweden Democrats, the only party that opposed mass immigration.

Who Are The Real Nazis in 21st-Century Germany?

After their recent success in regional elections, the political party Alternative for Germany (Alternative für Deutschland, AfD) has adopted an anti-Islam plank in their party platform. Needless to say, the other parties, especially those on the Left, are outraged by such blasphemous talk. And a Muslim leader has compared the AfD with — surprise! — the Nazis.

Rembrandt Clancy has translated two articles about the AfD’s platform and the reactions to it. The first is from Die Zeit:

The General Secretary of Muslims Compares the AfD with Hitler’s Germany

The AfD meet criticism with their Islam thesis. Aiman Mazyek accuses the party of threatening, for the first time since the National Socialist period, an entire religious community.

Original German-language Source: Zeit Online

18 April 2016

Aiman Mazyek, the Chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, compared the AfD, the right-wing, populist party, with the anti-Semitism of the National Socialists. For the first time since Hitler’s Germany, there is a party in Germany which once more discredits and existentially threatens an entire religious community, Mazyek told the NDR Info broadcaster [Norddeutscher Rundfunk Info is a radio programme]. In order to counteract this policy, he calls for more clarification regarding the goals of the AfD, whose aim is to create a republic without a liberal-democratic constitutional order. To that end, Islam is misused. Mazyek characterised the AfD as inconsistent with the Constitution.

Over the weekend, the leading AfD politicians characterised Islam as incompatible with a liberal constitutional order. The deputy party leaders Alexander Gauland and Beatrix von Storch announced in the Fankfurter Allgemeinen Sontagszeitung (FAS) their intention of giving a distinctly Islam-critical focus to their party platform. “Islam is inherently a political ideology, which is incompatible with the Constitution,” von Storch said. Gauland warned of an “Islamisation of Germany”. Many Muslims belong to Germany, “but Islam does not belong to Germany.”

The former AfD leader Bernd Lucke criticised the statements of the current party leadership: “By making populist demands such as the prohibition of minarets or that Islamic worship take place only in the German language, we only support the radicalisation of Muslims,” said Lucke, who is currently chairman of the conservative-liberal Alfa party [Allianz für Fortschritt und Aufbruch, Alliance for Progress and Renewal].

In the opinion of the SPD [Social Democratic Party of Germany] representative for religious denominations, Kerstin Griese, the AfD is fomenting “unfounded prejudices in a highly dangerous way”. It goes without saying that there is “an Islam which is in line with the Constitution” and this is practised by “far in excess of 90 percent of the Muslims who live here.” Griese considers the planned restrictions on the practice of religion to be unconstitutional, for “freedom of religion is integral to the Constitution.” Therefore, what they are now demanding, says Griese, is “not a discourse about Islam, but something unconstitutional”: it is not Islam which lacks conformity to the Constitution, but “the AfD, who are inconsistent with the Constitution.” The policy spokesman for religion of the Left party [die Linke], Christine Buchholz, accused the AfD of poisoning the social climate with Islam-hatred and of fomenting “racism against Muslims”. The President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, said that following the AfD’s initial crusade against the EU and then against refugees, they are now putting Islam in the crosshairs: “On that account they are no alternative, but a disgrace to Germany.”

The federal government is unwilling to have any debate about Islam imposed on them by the AfD. A government spokesman stated that the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) has said several times: “it is clear that Islam beyond question now belongs to Germany.” The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and the unimpeded practice of religion. “That applies,” he added.

At their party convention, which is to take place in two weeks in Stuttgart, the AfD will decide their first party programme. The objective is to ban symbols of Islam from the public space. The draft programme of the party’s National Association, which has already been available for several weeks [German version only], contains the demand for a ban on minarets, muezzins and full-body coverings (p. 35). There is no intention to forbid the building and operation of mosques or to prohibit circumcisions, said von Storch.

No Justice for Nadine

The following news report talks about the acquittal of two young culture-enrichers in Germany. The two men had been accused of raping a young woman named Nadine Munster, but the victim committed suicide as a result of the rape years before a judgment was handed down in court. Lacking a living witness to the crime, the judges felt compelled to render a not-guilty verdict.

The faces of the alleged perpetrators have pixelated in this video, but they haven’t been “pinkwashed”, so that it’s obvious they’re black Africans. Their names are distinctly non-Muslim, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility that they are converts, like the murderers of Lee Rigby in London. The fact that one of them said, “Only God can punish people. OK?” is intriguing — is it based on Islamic theology? Or is it an offbeat interpretation of Christian doctrine?

Erdogan, Erdogan: Germany is not Kurdistan!

A few weeks ago a satirical poem about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was read out on state TV in Germany. The poem made headlines all over the world when Mr. Erdogan took offense and demanded that Jahn Böhmermann, the man who wrote and performed the poem, be prosecuted. The furor intensified when Chancellor Angela Merkel gave the go-ahead for an investigation of Mr. Böhmermann that may eventually result in his prosecution.

A comic performer named Dieter Hallerforden has now jumped on the bandwagon, demanding his own prosecution for performing a satirical song about the unfortunate Mr. Erdogan
