Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/7/2016

In yesterday’s referendum in the Netherlands, 64% of those who voted rejected the EU’s proposed closer economic and political relationship with Ukraine. Only 32% of eligible Dutch voters participated, but that was enough to make the referendum binding. Many analysts view the vote as a rejection of the EU, and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said he was saddened by the result.

In other news, the Austrian government is expecting the number of migrants landing in Italy to double in comparison to last year’s total, which would mean at least 300,000 new arrivals in 2016. If the pressure of immigrants at the border with Italy becomes unmanageable, Austria plans to close the Brenner Pass.

Collapse of Commodity Prices Exposes Longstanding Underperformance of Ontario and Atlantic Canada

The resilience of the Canadian economy during the global recession and its strong performance post-recession-which was largely rooted in the resource-intensive provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia-masked weakness in Central and Atlantic Canada, particularly Ontario, finds a new study published today by the Fraser Institute, an independent non-partisan Canadian policy think-tank.

“The fall in commodity prices and the ensuing economic slowdown in Canada’s resource-intensive provinces laid bare the weaknesses of provinces such as Ontario and New Brunswick, prompting a crucial question-which provinces will propel Canada’s economic growth?” said Livio Di Matteo, Fraser Institute senior fellow, professor of economics at Lakehead University, and co-author of Comparing Recent Economic Performance in Canada and the United States: A Provincial and State Level Analysis.

Serfs! Americans Pay More in Taxes Each Year Than “Food, Clothing, And Housing Combined”

Are you familiar with Tax Freedom Day? No, it isn’t the day after April 15th. According to the Tax Foundation, it’s the day of the year when the average American has earned enough money to pay for all the income taxes they will accumulate throughout the rest of the year. In 2016, that day will fall on April 24th. Or put another way, if you work during all 52 weeks of the year, more than 16 weeks of your labor are going to the IRS.

According to the Tax Foundation’s annual report, Americans are going to spend a total of $5 trillion on federal, state, and local taxes this year, which amounts to about 31% of our nation’s income. That’s almost $1 trillion more than we spend on food, clothing, and housing put together.

Donald Trump Will Fall 50-100 Delegates Short of 1,237 Needed to Clinch Nomination

Trump currently leads the GOP field with 743 delegates

Senator Ted Cruz’s overwhelming victory in Wisconsin on Tuesday makes it all but impossible for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump to win the 1,237 delegates he needs to secure the nomination ahead of the RNC convention in Cleveland.

Trump currently leads the GOP field with 743 delegates. He would need to win 58.9 percent of the remaining pledged delegates to obtain the simple majority necessary.

[Comment: Massive electoral fraud going on. The fix is in. Wisconsin has an open primary — how many dems voted for cruz to help get Trump out of the race? Who knows about the illegal immigration vote?]

Gateway Could be Opened When the Temple of Baal is Erected in Times Square

By Michael Snyder

In April, part of the Temple of Baal that stood in Palmyra, Syria, will be reconstructed in Times Square in New York City and in Trafalgar Square in London. The specific portion that is being erected in both cases is the 48-foot-tall arch that stood at the entrance to the temple.

The Institute of Digital Archaeology is the organization behind this effort, and the display of these two arches is intended to be the highlight of UNESCO’s World Heritage Week late next month. After seeing my initial story, one of my readers observed that an arch is really just a gateway or a portal. In other words, it can serve as both an entrance and an exit. So could it be possible that we will be unknowingly setting up a gate or a portal of some sort in Times Square?

The worship of Baal, also known as Bel, can be traced all the way back to ancient Babylon. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Marduk was “the chief god of the city of Babylon,” and ultimately he became known as “Bel” or “Lord”.

John Bolton Agrees With Bernie Sanders: Hillary Clinton Not Qualified to be President

Asked about Bernie Sander’s recent comments that Hillary Clinton is not qualified to be President, former UN Ambassador John Bolton told Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon,”I think he’s right.”

“If you look at her record as Secretary of State, other than having a huge carbon footprint by traveling all over the world on U.S. military aircraft, her accomplishments which you can actually ascribe to her are almost non-existent. The foreign policy was Barack Obama’s, that’s for sure, but there’s nothing she’s done that really demonstrates she knows how to be Secretary of State, let alone be President,” Bolton said.

Not Even Police Were Told About This “Active Shooter” Drill…

So secret that it’s for your safety…

It isn’t the first time that military, SWAT teams, FBI, police and Homeland Security officials have conducted large scale emergency exercises inside cities and frightened the locals.

Joint task force mock disasters, raids and response teams now routinely takeover local areas in order to prepare for martial law and a thorough police state, and people are often riled by the sounds of explosions, gunshots, helicopters and teams of men in black uniforms.

But this time, even the local police weren’t told about the drill taking place — even though it was happening within their own department.

As NBC reported:

Bystanders didn’t take long to call police last month when they spotted a couple of suspicious men skulking around a New Jersey train station taking photos of security cameras. Port Authority cops turned on lights and sirens and rushed to the scene in hour traffic.

But when they got there, the officers were shocked to find that the emergency they had rushed to was only a test. The suspicious men? Port Authority’s own security analysts.

According to an incident report obtained by the I-Team, the two men said they were “testing the system.” But what made this test different than the regular drills practiced is that none of the officers in the police department — not even the supervisors — knew it was a test. According to president of the Port Authority police union, the consequences could have been deadly…

The Port Authority spokesman … said it is customary not to tell officers about active shooter drills in the terminals.

Port Authority police in New Jersey were startled to respond to calls that led to an active shooter training scenario that ultimately involved their own security team running a “test.”

This video breaks down the possible implications of this unannounced test — which may seem paranoid to some, but it likely a routine part of managing crises in the public eye.

Pat Caddell: American People Will ‘Revolt’ If Party Establishments Cheat Primary Winners Trump, Cruz, And Sanders

Political strategist Pat Caddell, who hosts the Political Insiders roundtable for Fox News at 7:30 PM Eastern on Sunday nights, joined host Stephen K. Bannon on Wednesday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily to look at the state of the 2016 primaries on both sides of the aisle.

In both the Democrat and Republican races, Caddell saw party establishments pushing back hard against insurgencies … making it possible this epic “Year of the Outsider” will end with two establishment candidates, and a great many disillusioned voters.

“The Establishment in this country, which the American people, in both parties, and independents — I mean, 70, 80 percent and more — despise and dislike … you know, they are in bed together because they have a very corrupt and cozy relationship,” said Caddell. “And the American people, particularly in the Republican Party, want that stopped.”

He described the Democrat process that would hand the nomination to Hillary Clinton using party-loyal super-delegates, even after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) won a string of historic primary victories, as an “outrage.” Caddell said the super-delegate system was created to “make sure there would be no more outsiders nominated by the Democratic Party” after Carter and McGovern were nominated, “and it has worked.”

Meanwhile, on the Republican side, Caddell said, “We have this incredible fantasy” that millions of voters would be disregarded by the party, in favor of some establishment pick inserted at the convention.

Police Release Damning New Footage for FBI on Lavoy Finicum Shooting (Video)

If you weren’t already 100% convinced that our federal government is the largest terrorist organization on the planet after you read the post earlier this week about the Special Agent in Charge at the the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Greg Bretzing, then the videos below should convince you.

God only knows how, but Special Agent Greg Bretzing was made the Special Agent in Charge at the the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge despite having previously been linked to the standoff at the original Bundy Ranch that almost ended in bloodshed (see below), and despite that he had already been investigated back in 2009 for another wrongful death that occurred on his watch, and was involved in several other investigations, one involving the FBI and fraud, corruption and National Security Leaks out of the FBI’s Salt Lake City Office.

How on earth does that happen? Most people have no idea how close the Bundy Ranch actually came to a bloodbath. By the 5:30 mark of the video below, your stomach will be in your throat. Then he gets ANOTHER assignment involving the same people? WHAT?!?!? His badge and gun should have been taken! Thankfully, earlier this week Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz has introduced House Bill, titled “H.R.4751 — Local Enforcement for Local Lands Act of 2016,” that strips the BLM of all authority.

San Antonio Cop Body Slams 12-Year Old Girl Knocking Her Out

San Antonio police have said to call 210-207-7273 to report child abuse because April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. See image below.

Should an adult male San Antonio cop ever body slam a preteen girl?

A video uploaded to YouTube shows a San Antonio Independent School District cop named Joshua Kehm body-slamming a 12-year-old girl face-first into concrete on March 29 as you can see in the video below.

It knocked the girl unconscious.

“She landed on her face!” a bystander says after the cop body slams her, apparently leaving her unconscious.

The incident occurred at Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio, Texas.

Officer Kehm then handcuffed the girl and she stands up, walking away with him.

The story was first published in Ghost-O-.com, and Kehm told the victim’s mother that she tried to kick him and that he thought she was going to instigate a fight with another student.

But witnesses said the victim was just having peaceful conversation before the officer attacked her.

Since the incident, the girl has been suffering from severe headaches.

Student Senator Being Asked to Resign for Supporting Donald Trump

A student-body political coalition swept a recent election at the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga (UTC) and is now calling for the resignation of a senator because of her open support of Donald Trump.

Hailey Puckett, the senator in question, participated in a chalking campaign on her campus during which she and her peers scrawled pro-Trump messages on the sidewalks of UTC’s campus.

“Super proud of our art work, but I have a feeling half of UTC’s campus is gonna hate it,” she posted to her Twitter, predicting her future doom.

In response, a group known as “Empower UTC” issued a statement calling for Puckett’s removal from her student government position.

Video: Hysterical Liberal Woman Shrieks at Gov. Rick Scott in Florida Starbucks

As I write this, the video has 259,127 views, which is pretty good for one day. What liberal can resist a shrieking, hysterical woman calling a Republican governor an a**hole as he’s trying to order coffee at Starbucks?

Any ideas as to why she can’t find a good job? (Video below)

Here’s something to chew on: Last Friday I attended a corporate reception in downtown Detroit and I had the occasion to be introduced to a Democrat member of Congress of whom I am decidedly not a fan. I don’t know if she knew who I was. It’s possible she recognized my name from my Detroit News column, where I gave it to her predecessor/husband pretty good on more than one occasion. Anyway, I said hello, she said hello, we talked a little bit about things each other are working on. Shook hands. Done.

You’re not there to get into arguments or be unpleasant. There are venues for that. This wasn’t one of them. And political disagreements don’t need to be personal, nor do they need to lead into angry invective. The fact that I understand all this is one of the reasons I actually do pretty well professionally.

This woman either doesn’t know any of this or doesn’t care. Oh, look, that awful Republican governor. I hate him! I’ll call him an a**hole because he’s here and I can! That’s not just rude, it’s also really stupid. If she knew how to behave in public, maybe she would have a good job.

What a Relief! Administration That’s Added Trillions in Debt Helping ‘Protect’ Our Retirement Savings

The Obama administration is keenly aware that Americans with retirement savings have been craving the financial guidance of a federal body that’s racked up $20 trillion in debt, so they’ve come to rescue us:

The Labor Department introduced new rules on Wednesday that will help protect Americans saving for retirement. While investors often assume those handling their savings are providing advice in their best interest, that is not always the case.

How very comforting:

64 Per Cent of Dutch Referendum Voters Reject EU, 32 Per Cent Turnout

Voters in the Netherlands referendum have overwhelmingly rejected the expansionist European Union (EU) in a referendum held today, though at the time of going to publish, concerns are raging about the low turnout in the plebiscite.

Polls closed at 9pm local time (8pm GMT/3pm EST), and exit polls by IPSOS and NOS have claimed the turnout was just 32 per cent, two per cent higher than the number required for the referendum to have validity.

But of those who voted in the citizen-initiative referendum, around 64 per cent reportedly voted against the EU’s association agreement with Ukraine. While the referendum is on a technical issue to do with the bloc’s relationship with Ukraine, and an inevitable EU membership for the Eastern European country, voters are said to have treated the plebiscite as a vote on their confidence in the EU and their country’s membership of it.

Bulgaria, Romania, Austria Agreement for Gas Connector

Bulgartransgaz, Transgaz, Habau Pps

(ANSA) — TRIESTE, 06 APR — The signing of the agreement between the Bulgarian Bulgartransgaz, Romanian Transgaz and the Austrian Habau Pps is scheduled for today in Austria with the aim of allowing the construction of a portion of an underwater gas interconnection under the Danube river, Novinite reported.

The agreement is to be signed in the framework of a joint project between the Bulgarian and the Romanian companies aimed at diversifying the routes of gas supply, realised thanks to the 8.9 million euros support by the European Energy Programme for Recovery (Eepr).

In this context, Habau Pps had won the tender in February for the construction of 2 km long underwater gas interconnection with a cost of 4.6 million euros and 119 working days needed to complete the project.

Cologne Police Reveal ‘Cover Up’ of New Year’s Eve Rape Attacks Ordered by Government

A leaked cache of confidential emails and notes passed between the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) state government and local police has revealed the extent to which the force were placed under pressure to cover up the migrant sex attacks at New Year’s Eve.

Reportedly released to Cologne-based German newspaper the Express by an inside police source, the documents may imperil the position of NRW interior minister Ralf Jäger. The minister has been clinging to his position since the attacks first became known, days after the event, and even went so far as to fire his chief of police to “restore faith” in the city.

One of the documents sent by Jäger’s interior ministry to the police ont he first of January is a so-called “Important Event-Message” (“Wichtiges Ereignis-Meldung”). Far from the initial claims made, and statements made at an early press conference about the attacks the message confirmed the state government had full knowledge of the gang sex attacks.

The internal message explained there had been “Rape, sexual offenses, thefts, robberies committed by larger foreign Group” and that a “40- to 50-strong group of people” had been acting in the “downtown area” by the railway station “to the detriment of young women”.

Dutch Referendum May Have Unleashed European “Continental Crisis”

In early January, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker warned that a Dutch advisory referendum, which took place today, on the bloc’s association agreement with Ukraine could lead to a “continental crisis” if voters reject the treaty.

In an interview in January for Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad, Juncker said Russia would “pluck the fruits” of a vote in the Netherlands against deepened ties between the European Union and Ukraine. “I want the Dutch to understand that the importance of this question goes beyond the Netherlands,” NRC quoted Juncker as saying. “I don’t believe the Dutch will say no, because it would open the door to a big continental crisis.”

The reason why Jean-Claude “when it gets serious, you have to lie” Juncker was so nervous, is that the vote, launched by anti-EU forces, is seen as test of the strength of Eurosceptics on the continent just three months before Britain votes on whether to stay in the European Union.

Eamonn McCann: Undemocratic EU May Not Survive Grim Challenges

David Cameron says that if the referendum on British membership of the European Union returns a majority for leaving, it would take two years to negotiate the terms of a new relationship. Others argue that the process could take 10 years.

If the 10-year estimate is right, the assumption that there will be an EU to leave may turn out to be ill-founded. The union is facing a series of challenges coming together in grim coordination.

The difficulty in handling debt problems and the needs of migrants is compounded by the thoroughly undemocratic nature of the EU. In the Guardian on Tuesday, former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis recalled his attempts last year to find common cause with EU colleagues.

After he made a plea for an easing of the terms of the bailout, explaining that this was the devout wish of the Greek people as expressed in the recent election, German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble made a reply which should send shivers up the spine of every democrat: “‘Elections cannot be allowed to change the economic programme of a member state.’“

Discontent

Another finance minister consoled him: “Yanis, you must understand that no country can be sovereign today, especially not a small and bankrupt one like your own.” (The late Brian Lenihan appears to have been given the same message.)

Varoufakis comments: “The true meaning is that sovereignty is passé unless you are the United States or China or maybe Putin’s Russia. Moreover, the Eurogroup, where most of Europe’s important economic decisions are taken, is a body which doesn’t even exist in European law, that keeps no minutes of its procedures and insists its deliberations are confidential — that is, not to be shared with the citizens of Europe. “

There is no democratic redress for any of the problems afflicting the union. Discontent will either be bottled up or will erupt on to the streets.

The EU may not survive.

EU President is “Sad” After Dutch Reject “Closer Ties” With Ukraine in Huge Victory for Euroskeptics

Watching the European collapse over the past 6 years has been mostly an exercise in futility, during which unelected bureaucrats throw everything at an unsolvable problem just to maintain the “dream” a little longer, punctuated with moments of sheer, delightful absurdity. This was one of those moments.

After yesterday’s shocking Dutch referendum outcome, in which a vast majority of local voters rejected a Ukraine-European Union treaty on closer political and economic ties, seen by many as an indication of “Euroskepticism”, moments ago European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker explained how that made him feel. According to Reuters, “he was saddened by the outcome.”

“The president is sad,” European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas told a regular news briefing.

This is the same president who was caught lying repeatedly during the many years of the Greek crisis, and chalked it off to “when it gets serious, you have to lie.”

And, just to confirm that European rules are made to be broken, he said the referendum would not affect the wider EU deal on closer ties with Ukraine and it was up to the Dutch government to analyze the outcome of Wednesday’s vote.

“The Commission remains strongly committed to the development of its relations with Ukraine,” he said.

[Comment: Translation “F*** your referendum, we will do it anyway.” Globalist and traitor political class will ram their desires over the people’s desires.]

Iceland PM Says He’s Not Resigning Over Panama Papers After All

“The prime minister has not resigned and will continue to serve as chairman of the Progressive Party”

The prime minister of Iceland said he is not resigning after reports of him stepping down circulated on April 5.

Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson said he stepped aside for an “unspecified” period, according to The New York Times.

The Icelandic government has been caught up in turmoil after the Panama Papers revealed that Gunnlaugsson and his wife set up a secret offshore company in 2007. After the revelations, thousands protested in the nation’s capital, calling for the prime minister’s resignation.

Gunnlaugsson had called for the dissolution of the parliament and for an early election. But the president of Iceland, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, rejected his request, saying that he needed to discuss the decision with other party leaders.

Italy: All Kinds of Criminals Have Sights on Health Sector — Cantone

Waiting lists area to focus on says anti-corruption czar

(see related) (ANSA) — Rome, April 6 — Raffaele Cantone, the head of anti-corruption agency ANAC, said Wednesday that the health sector was being targeted by a wide range of criminals. “The health sector is a territory of raids for criminals of all kind, given the enormous amount of business involved and the fact that in a time of crisis the sector cannot be underestimated,” Cantone said at the presentation of a report on graft in this field. “(In Italy) we have a health system that guarantees very high standards, but one should consider the fact that this (graft) lowers the level of services”.

He said one of the key issues was long waiting lists, which can contribute to corruption, with patients being invited to pay to get around them, as allegedly emerged in a case this week involving doctors in the southern city of Salerno.

“We have put many new measures into place to fight corruption in the health sector,” he said at an event for the first national day against corruption in health.

“We have drafted guidelines and identified the areas where it is necessary to intervene.

“The first of these is the waiting lists, as well as areas linked to the pharmaceutical companies and even the management of the mortuaries. “It would be good if the waiting lists could be transparent, but that’s difficult as privacy values are at stake.

“But we have to intervene and cases like those in Salerno disturb me.

“In our anti-corruption plan we have indicated the waiting lists to be one of most critical areas.

“It’s necessary to create anti-corruption antibodies in the health system”.

Italy: Free-Speech Demo Outside VatiLeaks 2 Trial

Chaouqui says wants to get ‘truth’ across

(ANSA) — Rome, April 6 — Italian journalists’ union FNSI and the free-speech advocacy group Articolo 21 demonstrated outside the Vatican before the resumption of the so-called Vatileaks 2 trial Tuesday.

The two groups showed banners in favour of freedom of expression and information including “Freedom of reporting cannot be put on trial, #nogag”.

In the trial, investigative reporters Emiliano Fittipaldi and Gianlugi Nuzzi are accused of using leaked documents from three Vatican officials to write two expose’-style books, respectively Avarice and The Way of the Cross, which respectively examine the Vatican’s financial empire and Pope Francis’s efforts to bring about reform.

The other defendants are Italian PR expert Francesca Chaouqi and Spanish prelate Monsignor Lucio Vallejo Balda, both former members of the now-defunct COSEA commission set up to advise Pope Francis on the reform of the Holy See’s economic and administrative structure, and Balda’s former assistant Nicola Maio.

Chaouqui said Wednesday she had come to the hearing against medical advice — she is almost eight months’ pregnant — in order to “get my truth across”.

Police Raid Apartments Over ‘Right-Wing’ Social Media Posts

Police in Berlin have raided ten apartments because residents may have posted “anti-migrant” views online.

Berlin Police completed a large scale raid on internet users Wednesday. The officers ransacked ten separate apartments in the German capital in the suburbs of Spandau, Tempelhof, Marzahn, Hellersdorf and Pankow.

Police announced that the raids show Germans that they are not as safe online as they might think. They say that anyone who says something xenophobic, spreads hate toward migrants, or shares what they consider to be xenophobic music, may be next on the list of apartments to be raided in the future.

58 police were involved in the raids and some illegal items were found in a few of the apartments. Police found one revolver handgun, though it was not mentioned if it had any ammunition or whether or not is was deactivated. They also found an air soft gun, which requires a license to own in Germany and a stun gun that appeared to be camouflaged as a flashlight.

Spokesmen Redlich also mentioned that they had found several unconstitutional symbols but did not divulge specifics. Banned symbols in Germany include Nazi era symbols like the swastika and various Nordic runes used by the Nazis during the era.

Google and Facebook have been criticized for helping the German government crack down on speech that is critical of migrants and of the policies of German chancellor Angela Merkel. The policy led to the deletion of the Facebook account of a young girl who spoke out about the migrant crisis and how she no longer felt safe walking the streets of her town.

Redlich says that the team is constantly searching YouTube, Twitter, WhatsApp and especially Facebook where most cases are pursued because users are forced to use their real names. He said the message of the raids is clear, “the internet is not above the law.”

(ANSA) — BUCAREST, 06 APR — The Russian oil company Lukoil rose its stake in offshore gas exploration in Romania’s Trident concession by 81% in 2015, reaching over 300 million euros (343.4 mln US dollars), Romania Insider reported.

UK: Met Homicide Unit Searching for Missing PC Gordon Semple

The Met Police homicide unit is investigating the case of a serving police officer missing for five days.

PC Gordon Semple, from Greenhithe, Kent, was last seen on 1 April in the London Bridge area of London.

He had a work meeting at the Shard’s Shangri-La hotel and left at about 12:30 BST. He was seen on CCTV in Great Guilford Street at 15:00 BST.

His partner reported him missing later that night. His niece Kerry Nicholas said the family was “very worried”.

She told BBC News: “This is completely out of character for him.

“He is just a very outgoing, sociable guy. Very happy-go-lucky.

“He wasn’t on any medication or anything and we have no reason to suspect he would just disappear without telling anyone.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to him before.”

A missing page has been set up on Facebook.

The family said he enjoyed travelling to Thailand, but was not aware he had been planning any trips abroad.

PC Semple is described as white, 5ft 10ins (1.7m) tall, of a large build with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing brown shoes, dark trousers and a lilac shirt.

The 59-year-old is originally from Inverness and works with the Met Police anti-social behaviour unit in Westminster.

He has no children but still has family in Scotland.

Det Ch Insp Cliff Lyons said the force was keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of PC Semple’s disappearance.

World View: Radical Islamists Making a Home in Bosnia and Balkan States

A new sanctuary for fighters, planners and recruiters for the so-called Islamic State (IS or ISIS or ISIL or Daesh) has been established right in the middle of Europe. Some 200-300 Islamist radicals have left Bosnia-Herzegovina to join ISIS or al-Qaeda in Syria and Iraq, and as a share of population, more fighters from Bosnia-Herzegovina have joined ISIS than from any other country in Europe except Belgium. There are around a dozen places in Bosnia where Salafists can train radicals, undisturbed by authorities. In fact, the black flag of ISIS is even flown in some remote villages in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

And it can be seen in other Balkan countries besides Bosnia. According to research into six countries in the region — Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia — about 877 nationals from the six states have traveled to Syria and Iraq. About 300 are believed to have returned home.

Poland-Russia Dispute Over Removal of Soviet Monuments

Lavrov, ‘anti-Nazi monuments profaned’. Warsaw:’distorsions’

(ANSA) — VARSAVIA, 06 APR — Warsaw and Moscow are in midst of a diplomatic dispute over the removal of Soviet era monuments from the Polish territory. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared recently that, over the past 12 months, Poland “has profaned or illegally dismantled 30 monuments that symbolise not only the liberating mission of the Red Army, but also Soviet-Polish brotherhood,” Polskie radio reported.

Poland’s foreign ministry reacted with a statement, underlining that all the monuments in question have been removed legally, describing the statement by Russian minister as “distortions”. The Polish ministry said that these monuments were of “symbolic” nature, and “solely manifestations of communist domination of Polish territory in the years 1945-1989.”

Warsaw further underlined that in Poland there are 1,875 cemeteries and cemetery sections where Russian and Soviet soldiers are buried, all of which are under the protection of (Polish) state authorities. “In recent years Poland has allocated close to PLN 14 million (about 3,2 million euros) for this purpose,” the ministry said.

Jihadists Yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ Butcher Bangladesh Student With Machete

Attackers in Bangladesh wielding machetes killed a liberal blogger, police said on Thursday, the latest in series of murders of secular activists by suspected Islamist militants.

Postgraduate law student Nazimuddin Samad, 28, was attacked as he was returning from a class at his university in the capital, Dhaka, late on Wednesday, police said.

Last year, suspected militants killed five secular writers and a publisher, including a Bangladeshi-American activist. A banned Islamist militant group, Ansarullah Bangla Team, claimed responsibility for some of the attacks.

Police officer Tapan Chandra Shaha said three or four men attacked Samad with machetes and then shot him after he fell to the ground.

Monsanto Pushes for Bt Cotton in Kenya With Dismal Track Record Elsewhere

Kenya was a target years ago

The GM cotton was engineered to contain Bt pesticide (Bacillus thuringiensis) within the plant, purportedly to make the crop poisonous to butterflies and moths. Despite recent monarch butterfly deaths in the millions, these two species are the target of the GM seed. The company is insistent upon forcing Bt cotton into Kenya and other countries despite its dismal track record not just in Africa, but also on other continents.

After 5 seasons of genetically modified (GM) cotton cultivation in Burkina Faso, for example, farmers denounced their contracts with Monsanto, and cotton stakeholders requested compensation for losses incurred since 2008 due to low yields and low quality cotton fiber.

The Bt cotton has also been an utter failure in South Africa’s Makhathini Flats, as well as in Benin. Monsanto’s MON 15985 is likely going to fail in Kenya, too, since it does a poor job holding up to secondary pests aside from moths and butterflies.

Though Monsanto’s henchmen keep assuring farmers the Bt poison can face up to lepidopteran cotton pests, the poison itself is worse than any six or eight-legged insect meant to be torn from growing cotton.

[Comment: Textile manufactures don’t want GM cotton since the cotton fabric produced is rough and coarse.]

Pope Ready to Visit Venezuela if Invited, Nuncio Says

Francis called for peace, dialogue in Easter Urbi et Orbi message

(ANSA) — Caracas, April 7 — Pope Francis is ready to visit Venezuela but he needs to be invited first, the apostolic nuncio in Caracas monsignor Aldo Giordano said Thursday.

“The pope is very familiar with the current situation in Venezuela and he is ready to visit the country, but he must be invited first,” Monsignor Giordano said. The South American country is suffering from major economic hardship and a permanent standoff between the government led by Nicolas Maduro and the national assembly controlled by the opposition.

Giordano told the local press he had spoken to Pope Francis recently.

“I told him of the Venezuelan people’s desire that his visit become a reality,” he is reported to have said.

“We must all pray that this might happen as soon as possible,” Giordano added. On March 30 the Venezuelan parliament approved unanimously a declaration in support of the appeal made by the pope in his Easter Sunday Urbi et Orbi message for peace and dialogue in the country. A group of human rights activists chained themselves outside the nunciature in Caracas recently, giving Giordano a letter for Pope Francis asking him to mediate with the government.

A ‘Staggering Number’ of EU Citizens Have Become Jihadists and Returned to the Continent Hidden Among the Migrant Influx, Border Agency Admits

A ‘staggering number’ of EU citizens have become jihadists and have returned to the continent hidden among the migrant influx, the bloc’s border agency has admitted.

Frontex said potential terrorists are exploiting the migrant crisis to travel unchecked through Europe while many migrants and refugees are arriving in Greece and Italy with false documents.

It also warned that the deadly Paris attacks last November demonstrate irregular migration patterns that could be used by extremists to reach the EU.

In a report, Frontex wrote that EU citizens who had joined ISIS in Syria are now taking advantage of the irregular migration flows to return home.

It said: ‘The staggering number of EU citizens who joined the conflict as jihadists has resulted in a number of returnees opting to use irregular means of travelling.

‘Islamist extremists will exploit irregular migration flows whenever such movements fit their plans.’

Asylum Status Doesn’t Mean Free Circulation Says Timmermans

Refugees must stay in host country or risk losing protection

(ANSA) — Brussels, April 6 — Asylum seeker status does not give refugees the right to free circulation or to choose where to reside, the first vice president of the European Commission said Wednesday. A packet of reforms to EU asylum seeker regulations will include “sanctions against secondary movements” by refugees who have been granted protected status in one EU-28 country and who move to another Union country, Frans Timmermans said. Anyone moving away from the country where they have been granted protected status will be taken back to their host country, and will risk losing that status, Timmermans said. The EC official also said the current system doesn’t work and must be reformed because the refugee crisis “is destined to remain long-term”. The Commission has presented two reform options — one a “Dublin plus” and the other “a more innovative” reform, Timmermans said. Both options include “more harmonization” of the rules and a redistribution of the burden. There would also be reforms to legal immigration rules to “attract skills”, Timmermans said.

German Minister ‘Told Police to Remove the Word “Rape” From Reports About Mass Migrant Sex Attacks in Cologne on New Year’s Eve’

A German state minister allegedly tried to pressure police in Cologne to remove the word rape from reports about the mass sexual assaults committed by asylum seekers on New Year’s Eve.

Cologne’s Express newspaper claimed that the interior ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia pressured a senior police officer to delete ‘rape’ from an internal report issued on January 1.

‘KHK told me that the state control centre wanted the report cancelled and the expression “rape” deleted,’ read a document written by another police officer which was printed by the Express.

According to the paper, officer KHK and his colleague were on duty when the events of the night before were being discussed for an interim report.

The night before hundreds of women had been sexually molested and robbed by marauding gangs of refugees, most of them from North Africa.

The initial report that the officers discussed read ‘rape, sexual harassment, thefts, committed by a large group of foreign people’.

Officer KHK received a call hours later requesting he delete ‘rape’ at the behest of the state interior ministry. The officer refused.

NRW interior minister Ralf Jäger, who allegedly wanted the word rape removed from official reports, is facing calls to stand down. He is due to be quizzed by parliamentary colleagues on Thursday.

German Minister: ‘Three Million Migrants Ready to Set Sail for Europe’

A minister of the German government has confessed that neither Germany nor the European Union (EU) has a real strategy of how to integrate migrants into European society, while warning that three million new migrants are preparing to “set sail for Europe.”

As Minister for European Policies for Germany, Michael Roth is the person in charge of coordinating Germany’s relations with the European Union, its policies and representatives. In an interview Wednesday with the Italian daily Il Giornale, the 46-year-old Social Democrat defended the recent EU-Turkey agreement for deporting illegal migrants back to Turkey, saying that “we have no alternative.”

“We have 3 million migrants ready to set sail for Europe and we must recognize that without Erdogan we have no ability to manage their movements,” he said. “And we have to grant him that, until now, he has been able to do with the migrants what we Europeans have been unable to do.”

Terrorists Entering Europe Because of Porous Borders May be Undetectable, EU’s Own Border Agency Admits

Report says EU member states had reported a record 1.82 million illegal border crossings last year

Terrorists are using the migration crisis to enter Europe and plot atrocities across the continent, the European Union’s own border agency has admitted.

In a report which lays bare the concerns about the EU’s porous borders, Frontex conceded that it does not know the true number of migrants who have crossed into the continent and has no way of tracking them.

Frontex said that EU member states had reported a record 1.82 million illegal border crossings last year, six times higher than the previous record set in 2014.

However, it admitted that the number of illegal crossings is an underestimation because so many migrants have “continued their journey without being detected”.

[Comment: Mass migration is being used to destroy nation states. EU NEVER had any real intention of sealing the outside borders. That was a lie to fool useful idiot politicians. Other traitor politicians were eager to relinquish control of their national borders. The end goal is, and always has been, the destruction of the nation state for a collectivist EU tyranny. A top down tyrannical super “state” imposed on the people without their consent or desire. This is why they attacked nationalism as being racist — to diminish the feelings people have for their own countries. Coupled with mass migration and you have chaos. Standard globalist/elitist strategy of manipulation: Create the problem. Get the Reaction. Propose the Solution.]

The Cheater’s Guide to Getting Into Europe: Border Guard Exposes Tricks Migrants Try to Use to Sneak Past Checks

An EU border guard today revealed the extraordinary lengths migrants are going to in their attempt to claim asylum — and said as many as one in five are lying.

In an interview with the MailOnline, Anna Smigielska said new arrivals are coming to border posts armed with a series of tricks and lies to con officials into letting them into Europe.

Many also provide fake documents to claim they are from Afghanistan, Syria or Iraq rather than their real homeland.

Miss Smigielska, whose job is to interview migrants to identify their nationality, gave an revealing insight into the challenge facing staff dealing with new arrivals in Lesbos on smuggling boats from Turkey.

She told how wealthier migrants pay smugglers in Turkey extra cash for a bespoke service to prep them for questions they are expected to face at the border to determine their nationality.

Single men attach themselves to genuine refugee families and pose as brothers or husbands to try to dupe guards, while others copy answers given by refugees ahead of them in the queue.

Vienna Sees 300,000 Migrants Heading for Italy

Austria may close Brenner Pass

(ANSA) — Berlin, April 7 — Vienna estimates the number of migrants crossing the Mediterranean to Italy may double this year from 150,000 in 2015 to 300,000, Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner told the APA news agency Thursday ahead of a Friday meeting with Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano. “Syrians are not arriving in Europe along this route, but above all people from North Africa, who do not have asylum rights,” she said.

Austria may close the Brenner Pass if migrant flows become uncontrollable, Mikl-Leitner told APA. “Italy cannot count on the fact that the Brenner will remain open if uncontrollable migrant flows arrive,” he said. “As was done with the countries on the Balkan route, Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia, we want to inform Italy too of the measures we will take if there is an uncontrolled flow of migrants from Italy to Austria.”

PayPal to Cancel Expansion N.C., Stays in Countries That Execute Gays

According to a screenshot taken of the PayPal website and circulated by North Carolina Values Coalition, PayPal does business in Nigeria, Zambia, Yemen, Somalia, and other countries where those who act out same-sex sexual activity are severely punished, including the death penalty, and some that do not even allow public advocacy:

  1. Well I imagine the population of north Italy still have bitter memories of the rape and pillage by costumed Muslim savages let loose by the allies under the watchful eye of Alexander looking the other way. That was 1945 and not 2016. As stalin and Hitler found out – playing God has consequences. Its Muslims. Its Islam. Its the koran. Just say no.

    • Dymphna, look away.

The Moroccans were especially sadistic, some of their victims dying as a result. As to why the “civilised” Allied troops ddn’t intervene, I don’t know.

  2. Reports that practicing Muslims slaughtered 175 factory workers. Do we stsnd for anything any more? Better to be cut down standing up to these sub animals than the slow cancer now in process. Why are we such willing prey to Muslim dregs by populating our countries with them? These vermin are allowed re-entry from the killing fields while indigenous folk are getting jailed for not paying parking tickets. Marshall law would be a very late event to start with. Money only gets you so far..

    • Money only gets you so far..

Yes, that is true. But when that money consists of petro dollars paid in copious amounts to western politicians, it can buy a lot of political paralysis is the face of an obvious danger to the populace.

  3. at the risk of sounding zenophobic or prejudiced, which I am, I will say this is the worst thing that has happened to Europe since the middle ages. If you all want to start wearing burkas and following your man two steps behind, go for it. But dont expect anyone to rescue you from beheadings and beatings, since that is all written in the Koran.

This is the most abhorrent religion I’ve ever encountered and if I were Queen of world, I would abolosh it. It has no place in modern society and Muslims (with a few exceptions) also have no place in modern society. It’s sane and proper to start shipping them back to their countries of origin, especially if they commit crimes in western society, which they evidently are doing rather frequently. We really don’t need this at all. Away with them! and the sooner the better. PC will kill us if we aren’t careful and I say to hell with PC. Tell it like it is
