Gates of Vienna News Feed 3/3/2016

French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron warned that if Britain chooses to leave the European Union, France may withdraw permission for the UK to maintain border controls in Calais, which would cause migrants to flood the Channel tunnel. Meanwhile French President François Hollande said that Britain would definitely face “consequences” if it left the EU.

In other news, two Italians held hostage by the Islamic State in Libya were killed. According to one report, they were used as human shields by ISIS during an attack by Libyan government forces.

Italy: PD Amends Mortgages Measure But M5S Still on Warpath

‘We want it withdrawn’ says Di Maio

(ANSA) — Rome, March 3 — Democratic Party (PD) lawmakers told the Lower House finance committee on Thursday that a draft measure on mortgages has been amended in response to opposition concerns. The measure would implement an EU directive and says banks can automatically repossess the collateral of clients who fail to make seven mortgage payments. The PD said on Thursday it would change that to 18 failed payments.

The anti-establishment, anti-euro 5-Star Movement (M5S) staged a protest at the finance ministry against the measure, telling Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan they will stay put until he withdraws the measure altogether.

On Wednesday, M5S lawmakers staged a sit-in outside the finance committee, preventing its members from sitting down to debate the measure. “We want it withdrawn altogether,” said Deputy House Speaker Luigi Di Maio (M5S).

40 Columbia University Professors Sign Petition to Boycott Israel

TEL AVIV — Forty Columbia University faculty members have signed a petition in favor of divestment from companies related to Israel, the Columbia Spectator reported.

The petition, which was signed on Monday — the first day of so-called Israel Apartheid Week, urged the Ivy League college to “divest from corporations that supply, perpetuate, and profit from a system that has subjugated the Palestinian people.”

According to the petition, the signatories “stand with Columbia University Apartheid Divest [CUAD], Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine as well as with Jewish Voice for Peace in calling upon the University to take a moral stance against Israel’s violence in all its forms.”

In February, CUAD demanded that Columbia divest from eight specific corporations “that profit from the State of Israel’s ongoing system of settler colonialism, military occupation, and apartheid law” as part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

John McAfee Unlocks an iPhone and Does Not Eat a Shoe

SHOE CONSERVATIONISTS should be glad that colourful security character John McAfee has lived up to his word and managed to unlock an iPhone.

Such people will be interested because McAfee mentioned shoes when discussing the Apple privacy and security case. At least one shoe was due to be eaten by McAfee should he and some fans of hair dye and reggae fail to crack the passcode.

John Bolton: ‘Hillary Clinton is a Threat to National Security’

Thursday at the the annual Conservative Political Action Conference hosted by the American Conservative Union in National Harbor, MD, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush John Bolton attacked Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, calling her “a threat to national security.”

Bolton said, “Hillary Clinton is a threat to national security roughly equivalent to Barack Obama. And the greatest proof of that threat is her utter, total disdain for the protection of classified information l entrusted to her as secretary of state. If she doesn’t have the wit to protect her own emails, how can we expect she is going to protect us? Now we have just had in the past twenty four hours a dramatic development in the ongoing criminal investigation in the email problem, the granting of immunity to a low ranking State Department person who set up the email server. This demonstrates that the Clinton campaign reaction to this thing has been a lie from the beginning. They have lied about the nature of the investigation. It was never a security investigation. They knew all along that the FBI and the Justice Department are not think tanks they don’t do security reviews, they investigate and prosecute violations of the criminal law, which is exactly what what we have here.”

Mentally Disarmed: ObamaCare Using Screenings to “Take Your Gun”

There is an ongoing battle for the psychological health and welfare of America’s children and eventually all Americans. Since 2002, the government has been intent on testing millions for mental illness. This obsession even extends to our veterans as they return from combat and leave the service. The veterans are increasingly being diagnosed as having PTSD and they are subsequently being adjudicated to not being eligible to own a firearm.

Marti Oakley has been at the forefront on covering elderly abuse in which the courts are stealing the property and incarcerating the elderly into mandatory detention in a care facility because they are mentally infirm. And why is this happening? If an elderly person fails to balance their checkbook, for example, they are robbed and confined by the courts.

These practices are reminiscent of how the Soviets used to imprison political enemies. The Soviets simply said if anyone disagree with the government, they must have “political schizophrenia” and required to have treatment in a mental healthcare facility.

All “Conspiracy Theorists” Are Mentally Ill According to DSM V

When I went through my clinical training, the Bible of mental illness, The Statistical and Diagnostic Manual (DSM-4r) defined Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) as a highly controversial mental illness used to describe children and teens as mentally ill if they exhibited disobedience and defiance. When I was first nationally credentialed, most practitioners did not take this diagnosis seriously and we mistakenly believed that it would fade away. We uniformly believed this to be true because defiance and oppositional behaviors are hallmark traits of healthy rebellion exhibited by children and teens as they seek independence. Rather than ODD fading away, the diagnosis has become the tool of the ruling elite.

The new DSM (5) has expanded the definition of ODD to include adults who exemplify “paranoid ideation” about the government and frequently express these delusional ideations on the Internet.

In most states, the government could arrest a member of the Independent Media based upon a charge of “threat to self and others due to paranoid ideation under the new ODD. The hold of the media types would be f0r 72 hours. The “patient” would not be able to speak with family and more importantly, with an attorney. The result could be a sentence which remands one to a mental health facility where they are forcibly drugged since they are now a ward of the state. Personal assets can be seized in order to pay for “treatment”.

[…]

A panel advising the Obama administration, in partnership with Big Pharma, is in the process of requiring all doctors to screen American adults and children over age 12 to screening for alleged “mental health” disorders, especially for depression. Ultimately, anyone found to possess any type of mental disorder will undergo state mandated “therapy” Part and parcel to this therapy comes some very well-documented and highly dangerous side effects from the required medications which can be administered without the consent of the patient.

As it was with Teen Screen, teachers, social workers, and more are already being required to search for supposed “mental and behavioral health” issues.

Therapists are drawing upon a very new frontier in order to force people into treatment as psychiatrists invent new “illnesses such as ODD.” The ultimate goal is the mass medicating of the American people. And with a judgment of mental illness, this is Obama’s latest strategy of gun confiscation.

[Comment: Read it all. This tactic will be used on patriotic, Constition loving Americans, and all other opposed to the “glorious government.” There is a push for mandatory teen screening so psychoactive drugs with homicidal, suicidal ideation side efffects can be prescribed to them. Result — more violence and more anti-gun legislation.]

Mitt Romney’s Niece to Stuff Republican Debate Audience With Anti-Trump Insiders?

The Donald could face another hostile crowd in Detroit

Donald Trump could face another hostile crowd at tonight’s Republican debate given that the woman responsible for picking some of the attendees is none other than Mitt Romney’s niece.

“Most are likely unaware that a sizable portion of the debate’s ticket allocation was controlled by the Michigan Republican State Chair,” reports DC Whispers, namely Ronna Romney McDaniel.

As the Detroit News reports, “The Michigan Republican Party received more than 21,000 ticket requests for Thursday’s presidential debate in Detroit but will only be giving out about 50 tickets to the public.”

350 of the 400 tickets will be handed to “elected officials, state committee members and grassroots activists,” according to Michigan GOP spokeswoman Sarah Anderson, including Ronna Romney McDaniel. The rest of the tickets will be split evenly between the candidates.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Defends Gun Ownership

On March 2, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hannah Ferguson defended gun ownership, describing how she learned to shoot and suggesting people who fear firearm ownership do so from a lack of “gun knowledge.”

Ferguson told Fox 441 that her father was a sniper in the Marine Corps and her mother and brother were in the USMC as well. So her love for guns is mixed in with a love for the military.

“At a pretty early age” her parents taught her to shoot, and Ferguson said they instilled the basics of shooting via the use of “pellet guns.”

Ferguson observed, “I feel like it’s good to have gun knowledge. I feel like a lot of people are scared of guns,” she explained. “They think they’re bad and they really don’t know anything about it.”

Trump Won Super Tuesday Because America is Racist

I woke up Wednesday morning to a slew of confused Facebook statuses and tweets. Most of them read something like this:

“So disappointed in my country right now. How could we let a blatant racist get so far in this election?”

Because this country is racist. I know it seems crazy, but your Facebook friend from high school isn’t the only one in the country who still calls black people monkeys and assumes all Hispanics are here illegally.

Before I get called un-American, or a hater or whatever else Trump supporters will put in the comments let me say that I love this country. I’ve grown up very fortunate and privileged to live in America and for that I am thankful. Truly. But growing up black I was taught a lot earlier than my beige complexioned friends that this country wasn’t built to protect people like me.

That is how Trump is winning in the polls.

Trump Wants to Make America More Like Denmark

By Charles Lane

As the Donald Trump campaign rolls on, the secret to his success is becoming clear: his promise to make America more like Denmark.

Say what? The Donald rarely if ever mentions the land of Lego, though Ted Cruz did once accuse him of being crazy enough to bomb it. Denmark is Bernie Sanders’s utopia — a Scandinavian social democracy with free health care and college, whose enlightened rulers have “gone a long way to ending the enormous anxieties that come with economic insecurity,” as Sanders once put it.

Charles Lane is a Post editorial writer, specializing in economic policy, federal fiscal issues and business, and a contributor to the PostPartisan blog. View Archive

Well, actually, the package Trump offers — “save Social Security without cuts,” a vaguely pro-single-payer position on health care, plus temporarily banning Muslims and walling off Mexico — bears an eerie resemblance to the Danish government’s current policy mix.

His astonishing success selling it to the Republican base may portend ideological convergence between the U.S. right and Europe’s.

Like many American admirers of Scandinavian welfare states, Sanders lacks detailed knowledge of how those systems work, or an appreciation for certain cultural peculiarities that make cradle-to-grave welfarism politically sustainable there but not, so far, here.

As Hugh Eakin explains in a New York Review of Books article with the provocative title “Liberal, Harsh Denmark,” generous social benefits belong to a wide array of institutions designed “to reinforce a strong sense of folke, the Danish people.” That reflects Denmark’s history: a small state, defined by ethnic and (Protestant) religious identity, which has, over centuries, been both a proud Baltic power and a victim of foreign threat and invasion.

Hence today’s paradox: Denmark, tolerant and generous toward the Danes among its 5.6 million people, is deeply anxious about its 260,000 Muslims — so much so that a left-right parliamentary coalition recently authorized police to seize cash and valuables from refugees, ostensibly to help pay for their accommodation but also to deter them from coming at all.

Trump Releases Seven-Point Health Care Reform Plan… and it’s Excellent

I mentioned on Facebook yesterday that I am not that big a fan of election years, and here’s a case in point. At this moment, #NeverTrump is all the rage among conservatives, and there’s a tremendous push to get Republican primary voters united against one remaining Trump rival to take the nomination away from him.

My job is to write what I think about whatever happens on a given day. It’s not to only write what I think will result in a certain outcome. So when I tell you that Donald Trump’s new seven-point health care reform plan is excellent, some of you are going to say: Don’t say that now! It’ll help Trump! #NeverTrump!!!

But my job is not to care one way or the other about who it will help or hurt. It’s to say what I honestly think. And what I honestly think is that the plan Trump released yesterday is as good as I’ve heard from anyone in the race — if not necessarily better — for how to replace ObamaCare. I’m going to excerpt the seven points entirely from Trump’s web site:

[Comment: It is a good plan. Read it for yourself.]

US Air Force Reveals Cost of Russian Rocket Engines’ Replacement

Early suspension of US reliance on the Russian RD-180 rocket engines to deliver heavy payloads into space will cost US taxpayers as much as $5 billion, Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — In 2014, the US Congress passed a law demanding the United States phase out its reliance on the Russian-made RD-180 rocket engines it uses to launch national security and other heavy payloads to space.

The law called for a shift to competitive, US-made rocket engines. The United Launch Alliance and Aerojet Rocketdyne were the confirmed recipients of Air Force contracts to build the RD-180 replacement.

“That approach [using a new engine] would cost additional dollars to the Air Force budget to the taxpayer anywhere on the order of $1.5 billion more to maybe as high as $5 billion more, depending on when you would cut off the RD-180 and start this approach,” James stated.

In the two years after implementing a purchasing ban on the RD-180, the US Congress has been forced to lift that ban to ensure its access to space on the Atlas V rocket, powered by the Russian rocket engine.

Canada Gets Down to Climate Business

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced antagonistic provincial leaders at climate talks Thursday over his plans to set a national carbon price in order to meet an international commitment to slash CO2 emissions.

Ten provinces and three territories are represented at the table, each with vastly different economic circumstances and goals, pushing their own tailored approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to help keep global temperatures from rising more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

The target was agreed to at the Paris climate summit late last year…

EU Referendum: French Minister Sparks Calais UK Border Row

A French government minister has sparked a row by suggesting his country could end UK border controls in Calais if Britain leaves the EU.

Emmanuel Macron told the Financial Times his country could also limit access to the single market and try to tempt London’s bankers to relocate.

His comments came before David Cameron and Francois Hollande held talks in France on security and migration.

Leave campaigners dismissed the comments as “scaremongering”.

Conservative MP Bernard Jenkin said “propaganda” was “being produced by other European governments at the request of the prime minister to try to scare people away from voting to leave”.

He added: “We pay a great deal of money into the EU and it subsidises a great deal of French farming. Surprise surprise, they don’t want us to leave the EU.

“But this is a choice for the British people, not for the French government, and actually we’re being asked to believe all sorts of ludicrous things.”…

France, Britain Sign 2 Billion Euro Combat Drone Programme Deal

France and Britain on Thursday inked a deal to invest more than two billion euros in the development of combat drones, Paris said in a statement.

Following a two-year feasibility study begun in 2014, “we hope to proceed to the next phase in 2017 to prepare for the full-fledged development of operational demonstrators of air combat drones by 2025,” the statement said.

“This test programme, the most advanced in Europe, will be based on a platform of multi-purpose drones that could provide the basis for future operational capacity beyond 2030,” it said.

“We plan to invest more than two billion euros in this programme,” it said, adding that work would be submitted to a technical review around 2020…

France: Paris Police Issued With Assault Rifles

The nonwhite refugee-terrorist invasion of Europe has forced the French police to arm themselves with Heckler and Koch G36 assault rifles, bulletproof vests, and AK-47 bullet-resistant shields

Making the announcement, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that the new arms would allow police “to intervene as fast as possible to reinforce the first patrols, notably when we are confronted with mass killings.”

Instead of halting the invasion and deporting the invaders already present, the French government has just declared a state of emergency, which dates from the time last year in November when refugee-terrorists attacked a concert hall and several restaurants and cafes around Paris, killing 130 and leaving hundreds injured.

On January 27, France’s highest administrative court, the Council of State, refused to lift the state of emergency, claiming the “imminent danger justifying the state of emergency has not disappeared, given the ongoing terrorist threat and the risk of attacks.”

Customs stopped a car full of weapons, heading for Sweden.

Three people were standing trial today for particularly serious weapons offenses.

The case concerns large quantities of hand grenades and automatic weapons from the former Yugoslavia, tried smuggled into Sweden and sold to criminals.

The suspect, a 32-year-old, had according to the indictment from September 2014, ordered a group of men in the former Yugoslavia to join him to smuggle weapons into Sweden.

The car that was used, included 59 hand grenades and five automatic rifles with ammunition and magazines.

High Profile British Imam Praises Muslim Who Murdered Pro-Christian Politician

One of the most popular Imams in the UK, who commands a following of hundreds of thousands, has praised the killer of a moderate Pakistani politician who defended murdered christians, declaring him a “martyr” who “did what he did in honour of the Prophet”.

It is five years since Salmaan Taseer, a liberal muslim who spoke out after the killing of Shahbaz Bhatti, Pakistan’s minorities minister who was the only Christian in the government, was assassinated by the Pakistani Taliban. His killer, Mumtaz Qadri, was hanged this week.

Both Mr. Bhatti and Mr. Tasseer were opponents of the country’s blasphemy laws, which are routinely used to target Christian’s. Speaking out for freedom in the Muslim majority nation is incredibly dangerous, however, as demonstrated by the shocking spectacle of a 100,000 people attended the murder’s funeral to celebrate his crimes this week.

This bloodthirsty attitude is not restricted to Pakistan, however.

Trump’s Rise Spooks Europe as Sideshow Turns Serious

Europe’s bemusement at the rise of Donald Trump has switched to concern as his presidential campaign has gained ground in what observers said was a warning to traditional parties about ignoring populists.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier this week spoke about the “politics of fear” in the US campaign in a thinly-veiled reference to Trump and drew parallels to the rise of European demagogues.

“In Germany and in Europe, something is gaining momentum in our domestic politics. And to be honest, I am also seeing it here in the United States during the campaign: it’s the politics of fear,” he told university students during a visit to Washington…

UK: Health Dire, “Foreign” Docs Recruited

The UK’s once-famous National Health Service (NHS) is now one of the worst in the world-a consequence which can be linked directly to successive governments’ efforts to recruit as many Third World “doctors” as possible.

According to a new report by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Britain has one of the worst health care systems in the developed world.

The OECD deputy director of employment, labor and social affairs Mark Pearson, said that medical staff in the UK are “too rushed to improve levels of care that have in many areas fallen below countries such as Turkey, Portugal and Poland.”

He went on to say that the “quality of care in the UK is poor to mediocre” and the NHS struggles to get even the “basics” right and that junior doctors are being relied upon to provide health care.

Italian Hostages Killed in Libya, ‘Used as Human Shield’

Two other abducted Bonatti employees alive says Minniti

(ANSA) — Rome, March 3 — Two Italian hostages, Fausto Piano and Salvatore Failla, workers for an oilfield construction firm abducted in July 2015, were killed in unclear circumstances in Libya Thursday.

According to one report, they were killed by government loyalists while being moved by a rival militia.

According to another report, they were killed while being used as human shields during a government attack on an ISIS hide-out.

It was said to be unsure, however, that they were being held by ISIS, according to the head of the COPASIR parliamentary intelligence oversight committee, Giacomo Stucchi. The fate of two other employees of the Bonatti company was also unclear most of the day until Intelligence Undersecretary Marco Minniti testified to COPASIR that the pair, Filippo Calcagno and Gino Pollicardo, were still alive.

Calcagno and Pollicardo were captured along with Failla and Piano near a Mellitah Oil Gas Company facility in western Libya, some 60 kms from Tripoli, last summer.

Piano and Failla were likely not killed as a reprisal for Italy’s upcoming role, if requested by Libya, in leading an international coalition in the north African country, officials said.

The Italian government’s priority is now to save Calcagno and Pollicardo, the head of COPASIR, Stucchi, said after Minniti reported to the panel. He said “a rigorous silence must be observed on such a delicate situation”. The pair killed “have been recognised using photographic techniques, we hope their bodies will soon be returned to Italy”, said Stucchi, who said militias had been trying to regain their positions after last month’s US airstrikes in the area.

He also said Italian intelligence services were present in in Libya, though not necessarily in the area where the fatal shoot-out took place.

A ransom will likely not be demanded, Stucchi added.

The two Italians were being held prisoner by ISIS and are said to have been killed on the outskirts of Sabratha while being moved, judicial sources said on Thursday. The convoy they were travelling in came under attack by a militia group and all the passengers were killed, the sources said. The bodies were recovered by the militias, they said.

A Libyan witness who is in Tunis after leaving Sabratha, however, told ANSA Thursday that two Italians “were used as human shields” by ISIS jidahists. The witness said that the two were killed “in clashes” with local militias on Wednesday in the south of the city, in the area of Surman.

Libyan medical sources had previously said that at least seven people were killed on an attack by local militias on an ISIS hideout in the Sabratha area, while two jihadists, a Syrian and a Tunisian, were captured and three others escaped.

Piano, Failla, Pollicardo and Calcagno all worked for the Parma-based oilfield construction and maintenance company Bonatti.

They were captured near a facility of the Mellitah Oil Gas Company, a partner of Italian oil-and-gas company ENI oil and gas company.

The Italian intelligence services had believed that the abductions were carried out by criminal militias seeking a ransom. Renato Brunetta, the Lower House whip for Silvio Berlusconi’s opposition centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party, and Lia Quartapelle, a lawmaker for Premier Matteo Renzi’s Democratic Party (PD), both requested that the government report to parliament shortly on the reports and on the situation in the chaos-hit North African country.

Northern League leader Matteo Salvini told a House press conference after the reports the two Italians had been killed that “Renzi has blood on his hands in Libya as in Italy. In Italy he roots for and frees criminals, he is an accomplice of international terrorism on immigration.” He went on that while the reports of the two slain Italians “are arriving from Libya, (President Sergio) Mattarella boasts Italy is in the vanguard (for welcoming migrants). Let’s hope the news is unfounded”.

Former premier Silvio Berlusconi said there was always the risk of victims if “hasty” action was taken.

Italy Dailies Report ‘Aise to Direct Libya Ops’

Special forces on their way say Corriere della Sera, Sole 24 Ore

(ANSA) — Rome, March 3 — Italian external secret service agency AISE is to direct Italian operations in Libya, Corriere della Sera and Sole 24 Ore dailies reported Thursday.

Three 12-man teams are reportedly already on the ground in the North African country and they will be followed by 50 special forces. Italy is prepared to contribute 3,000 troops to a possible peacekeeping mission there.

Both papers reported the move is being made under a February 10 decree issued by Premier Matteo Renzi, which reportedly says “the prime minister… can authorize… AISE to adopt intelligence and fightback measures, including with the technical cooperation of special defence forces, with the consequent support of assets from the Defence Department itself”.

The premier is reportedly authorized to do so “in crisis and emergency situations that require urgent and exceptional measures”.

Abbas: Terror Wave is a ‘Legitimate Peaceful Protest’

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday reiterated his opposition to recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, and also referred to the current terror wave as a “legitimate peaceful protest”.

He made the comments at the start of a meeting of the Revolutionary Council of his Fatah organization, attended by members of the Fatah Central Committee.

In his speech at the meeting, Abbas once again expressed his support for the French political initiative which seeks to convene an international peace conference.

France, which announced the peace conference initiative in January, has threatened to unilaterally recognize the “State of Palestine” if the initiative fails.

Abbas said that there is a need to convene an international peace conference in order to end the current deadlock in the peace process, and also said that the Palestinians intend to appeal to the UN Security Council in order to have resolutions passed calling for the “end of the settlements in all the Palestinian territories.”[…]

Bombed, Burned, And Urinated on: Churches Under Islam

[WARNING: Disturbing Content.]

Muslim Attacks on Christian Churches

Iraq: The Islamic State detonated the nation’s oldest Christian monastery, St. Elijah’s. . The 27,000-square-foot building had stood near Mosul for 14 centuries. For several years, prior to 2009, U.S. soldiers protected and sometimes used the monastery as a chapel. “Our Christian history in Mosul is being barbarically leveled,” reported a Roman Catholic priest in Irbil. “We see it as an attempt to expel us from Iraq, eliminating and finishing our existence in this land.” Yet, when Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for America’s military efforts against ISIS, was asked about the status of Christians in Iraq soon after the monastery’s destruction, he replied “We’ve seen no specific evidence of a specific targeting toward Christians.”

Kosovo: Muslims urinated in an Orthodox Christian church in Pristina, the capital. Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic condemned the desecration of the Temple of Christ the Savior: “Urinating in a sanctuary is shameful, uncivilized, vandalism.” (Last year in Italy, Muslims broke a statue of the Virgin Mary and also urinated on it.) Stojanovic added that, “The quiet observation of the demonstrators by the police, as they entered the temple and urinated is also shameful.” “Serbian [i.e., Christian] sanctuaries in Kosovo are constantly desecrated,” the deputy prime minister said.

Algeria: On January 7, unknown vandals damaged, robbed, and wrote jihadi slogans on a church. Furniture, ritual objects, and money worth about U.S. $8,000 were stolen from Light Church in Tizi-Ouzou, around 62 miles from Algiers. According to Pastor Mustapha Krireche, “Thieves broke into the inside of our church through the window, because we installed a reinforced door very hard to force open… They took the music equipment like guitars, synthesizer, percussion, and sound equipment, plus a printer, the trunk of tithes, a sum of money, and other material.” The assailants left Islamic supremacist graffiti on the church walls including “Allah Akbar.” The church was targeted at least twice before: in 2009, “about 20 Islamist neighbors tried to block the congregation … from meeting for worship”; in 2010, a group of Muslims rampaged through the church building, trying to burn it down and damaging Bibles and a cross.

Kuwait: Lawmaker Ahmad Al-Azemi said he and other MPs will reject an initially approved request to build churches because it “contradicts Islamic sharia laws.” He added that Islamic scholars are unanimous in banning the building of non-Muslim places of worship in the Arabian Peninsula.

Mongolia: Days after a church celebrated Christmas, explosives were thrown into the stove chimney of a Kazakh house church. As a result, “Believers decided not to come together for a while. They [are] afraid of a repetition of the explosions in the homes of believers,” said a church leader. Large numbers of people had attended the church’s Christmas services and local Christians believe that this turnout had “angered some of the local Muslims and led them to carry out the attack.”

Saudi-Hezbollah Spat Traps Lebanon

Lebanon is once again the site of a proxy war, this time between Sunni powerhouse Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Hezbollah. But can the tiny Mediterranean nation withstand the latest fallout from the Syrian conflict?

Every summer, thousands of Gulf Arab tourists — some with maids and staff in tow — descend on Lebanon, triggering quintessentially Lebanese jibes about the annual wave of moneyed “khalijis,” or Gulf natives, arriving on their shores mixed with an acknowledgment of the much-needed tourist revenues they generate.

Barring an outbreak of war, khalijis can be unfailingly spotted in the holiday season in Lebanese hotels, restaurants, and the infamous seaside resort of Maameltein — famed for its sleazy “super nightclubs” — where Gulf tourists let their hair down and do their bit for the tiny Mediterranean nation’s coffers.

This time though, the summer migration could dwindle to a trickle as tourism becomes the latest victim of the complicated relations between Sunni powerhouse Saudi Arabia and Hezbollah-dominated Lebanon…

Pakistani Jailed for 13 Years for Facebook Post

A Pakistani man was sentenced to 13 years in prison Thursday for allegedly posting religiously offensive material on his Facebook page, lawyers in the case said.

Rizwan Haider, 25, was convicted in an anti-terrorism court of three charges including promoting sectarian hatred, after he supposedly published a post referring to Prophet Mohammed.

“This case… was registered against Haider, who is a Shiite Muslim by faith, in January for posting objectionable material against the belief of Sunni Muslims,” Adeel Chattah, public prosecutor in the case, told AFP.

He was also fined 250,000 rupees ($2,500), Chattah said, adding that he denied the charges and has the right to appeal…

Bolton: China May Soon Have ‘Hands Around the Throats’ Of Vital U.S. Allies

Former Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton discussed the threat of expansionist China on Breitbart News Daily with host Stephen K. Bannon, who has personal experience with the region.

Bolton agreed with Bannon that the American people have not been well-prepared by their political leaders to understand the enormous strategic significance of the South China Sea, or the true scope of China’s ambitions. He laid the task of providing that perspective, and rallying public support for whatever American counter-moves are necessary, at the feet of the next President.

“People need to hear their leaders, or their would-be leaders, explain why these issues are important to them,” he said.

North Korea Fires Projectiles Into Sea

A defiant North Korea fired short-range missiles into the sea, just hours after learning the United Nations had issued new sanctions on the regime aimed at curtailing their perceived warlike activities.

The Associated Press tweeted the news: “ BREAKING: Seoul: North Korea fires short-range projectiles into sea hours after UN sanctions slapped on Pyongyang.”

Algerians in N. German State Are Criminals

Statistically, all Algerians, and at least half of all Moroccans living in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), are involved in criminal activity, shocking new statistics released by that state’s government have shown.

According to an analysis undertaken by the German Die Welt newspaper, the figures emerge when the crimes committed by Algerians and Moroccans living in “asylum centers” are added to those committed by those countries’ nationals who are already living in NRW.

These “already settled” residents entered Germany either legally or illegally prior to the 2015 invasion flood, and are already well-known by the police for their criminal activities.

Angela Merkel: A Suicidal Bully

by Srdja Trifkovic

Not for the first time the government of Germany is acting as if it owned Europe. On two occasions in the 20th century it sought to occupy most of Europe; this time, with almost equal arrogance, it is trying to bully the rest of Europe into not resisting the ongoing Muslim occupation. The consequences of its actions today, if not checked, are likely to be as tragic as those of its predecessors had been in 1914 and 1939.

For reasons that have never been rationally explained, German Chancellor Angela Merkel continues to pursue a two-track policy:

She wants to keep Germany’s borders open to migrants. In defiance of the demands by her Bavarian CSU coalition partners and others, she rejects any set limit on the number of newcomers. To their detailed warnings that her approach is untenable she responds by saying that letting millions of people into the country is good for Germany’s reputation (“we can stand by our values”);

At the same time she wants to redistribute migrants arriving in Germany throughout the EU through a system of Brussels-imposed compulsory quotas on all 28 member-countries (“I am fighting for this approach”), while admitting that there is no “Plan B”: she is not prepared even to consider any alternatives, such as cutting immigrant inflows.

Angela Merkel effectively wants to present the rest of Europe with two faits accomplis: that Germany will accept unlimited numbers of migrants, and that Germany will use her overwhelming influence in Brussels to force the rest of Europe to share the resulting cost and burden of improving “Germany’s reputation”—all in the name of maintaining “European unity.” Her calls for a “joint European solution” are nothing but demands for the rest of Europe to be obedient, sayJawohl! and facilitate the creation of Sharia-based no-go areas in Krakow, Bratislava and Budapest.

Merkel’s stated objective, “to keep Europe together and to show humanity,” is calamitous in principle and unattainable in practice. Translated into plain English,…

Bikini-Clad Poolside Vigilante Accused of Xenophobia in Sweden

A woman from Sweden has been accused of encouraging fear and racism at a local leisure center after forming a so called ‘grope-watch’ vigilante group to patrol the swimming pool in an attempt to stop migrants from molesting women in bikinis.

Siri Bernhardsson founded the grope-watch group after reading about 25 alleged incidents involving women being groped at Stockholm’s Erikdalsbadet leisure center in January. She claims women are becoming too afraid to visit the local swimming pool.

“It cannot be right that women and families should be too intimidated to go to the swimming pool, of all places. It’s not a dark alley or scary nightclub,” Bernhardsson told Kvallsposten newspaper.

It’s since emerged her co-founder has links to a Swedish neo-Nazi group, according to London newspaper the Daily Telegraph. Robert Banderby is reportedly under a suspended prison sentence for taking part in a neo-Nazi knife attack on anti-racist protesters last year.

The pools’ management company is outraged and says Bernhardsson’s actions are encouraging racism towards refugees.

“She has no understanding of the consequences of what she’s doing,” Susanne Gryfelt manager of the Kalmar Adventure Pool told The Telegraph.

“I have received extremely racist emails. It’s making people afraid, and they’re afraid of a problem that doesn’t exist.”

Twenty-four year old Bernhardsson has been accused of vigilantism, racism and xenophobia, as well as inciting hate towards more than 160,000 asylum seekers who arrived in Sweden last year.

The number of people seeking asylum in Sweden tripled in 2015, with nearly 163,000 applications sought by December 2015. “Never before has Sweden received such a large number of asylum seekers,” according to Migrationsverke, the Swedish Migration Agency.

Statistics recently released by the Swedish government reveal that 71 percent of asylum applications are made by young men who account for 21 percent of migrants who arrived in Europe in 2015.

EU to Hand Migrants Cash in Envelopes to ‘Maintain Their Dignity’

The price of human dignity for the tens of thousands of economic migrants now living in Greece has been calculated by the European Union (EU) to equal large amounts of taxpayer cash stuffed into envelopes and distributed amongst those it believes qualify as most in need.

Under a new EU aid plan, a large part of its £550million disaster fund will be given directly to migrants in hard cash to spend as they wish to help keep their “dignity” intact and save them from having to queue at volunteer aid agencies.

They can then use the funds to spend as they wish and not account for any of it, the Daily Mail reports. EU officials are yet to decide which funds to divert to find the cash, which will need the approval of national governments and MEPs.

Christos Stylianides, the EU humanitarian aid commissioner, said he believed migrants should have the option of buying things themselves and his suggestion contradicts internal European Commission documents warning about “corruption and security risks” when providing humanitarian assistance in cash.

France Blackmails Britain: Stay in EU or We’ll Flood You With Migrants

EDINBURGH (Reuters) — If Britain votes to leave the European Union in a June referendum, France will allow migrants to move to Britain by ending border controls and roll out a red carpet for bankers fleeing London, French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron said.

“The day this relationship unravels, migrants will no longer be in Calais and the financial passport would work less well,” Macron told the Financial Times ahead of an Anglo-French security summit.

Macron added that obstacles to bilateral trade could also be created, while an agreement which allows Britain to carry out border controls to withhold unwanted migrants on the French side of the Channel could also dissolve.

French President Insists Britain Will Face Brexit ‘Consequences’ As David Cameron Has to Deny a ‘Conspiracy’ Over Claims the Calais Jungle Could be Sent to Kent

French president Francois Hollande today warned Britain would face ‘consequences’ over immigration if quits the EU amid a row over the ‘Jungle’ migrant camp.

Mr Hollande’s economy minister declared a treaty stopping migrants reaching Calais would be torn up after a Brexit vote prompting claims Boris Johnson and other Leave campaigners of an orchestrated scare campaign.

But at a joint press conference with David Cameron following a Franco-British summit, Mr Hollande repeated warnings to the British people — but claimed he did not want to ‘scare people’.

Following claims today’s row was a ‘stitch up’, Mr Cameron was forced to deny a ‘David Icke-style giant conspiracy’ to keep Britain in the EU.

Islamic State is “Spreading Like Cancer” Among Muslim Migrants to Europe

Anyone could have and should have seen this coming. But no one in power cared to do so.

Last February, the Islamic State boasted it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. And the Lebanese Education Minister recently said that there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country. Meanwhile, 80% of migrants who have recently come to Europe claiming to be fleeing the war in Syria aren’t really from Syria at all.

So why are they claiming to be Syrian and streaming into Europe, and now the U.S. as well? An Islamic State operative gave the answer when he boasted in September, shortly after the migrant influx began, that among the flood of refugees, 4,000 Islamic State jihadis had already entered Europe. He explained their purpose: “It’s our dream that there should be a caliphate not only in Syria but in all the world, and we will have it soon, inshallah.” These Muslims were going to Europe in the service of that caliphate: “They are going like refugees,” he said, but they were going with the plan of sowing blood and mayhem on European streets. As he told this to journalists, he smiled and said, “Just wait.” We are waiting in the U.S. as well.

Romania: 80,000 Persons Leave the Country Each Year

Rbl: 2.5 million Romanians already work abroad

(ANSA) — TRIESTE, 03 MAR — Around 80 thousand Romanians leave the country each year to find work abroad, Agerpres agency reported citing the Romanian Business Leaders association (Rbl).

An estimated 2,5 billion Romanians already works abroad, a significant number considering that the national workforce amounts to 5 million individuals. Among those who decide to emigrate, 80% come from rural areas. “To resolve the problem of the exodus, we should resolve the problem of the Romanian village”, Daniel Constantin, former agriculture minister, said during a Rbl union held on Thursday.

“We must educate specialists to work in the agriculture sector.

We have the financial resources for this. The more developed our countryside is, the less the people will leave their homes in search of better life abroad”. he added. According to a recent study published by the Romanian National bank, if the current emigrants were to return and work in Romania within their professional field, the country’s GDP would grow by 50 billion lei (12 bln euros).

Xmas “Monster” In Vienna Muslim Schools

Father Christmas and other traditional European culture forms are regularly portrayed as monsters and devils in propaganda issued by state-funded preschools to the 10,000 Muslim children in Vienna, Austria, a new study has revealed.

White Viennese children are now an absolute minority in the capital city, thanks to years of nonwhite immigration encouraged and supported by successive conservative-socialist governments in Austria, the report also disclosed…

The study explained that large numbers of Islamic kindergartens in Vienna are under the control of two organizations in particular, the Muslim Brotherhood and Milli Görüs.

Milli Görüs (“National Vision”) is the largest Turkish diaspora organization in Europe, and is active in nearly all European countries, Australia, Canada, and the United States.

The Muslim Brotherhood, or rather the “Society of the Muslim Brothers,” is an international organization dating back several decades and has been declared a terrorist organization by the governments of Bahrain, Egypt, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.

The study shows that Milli Görüs in particular has close links to the Turkish government, and that the Islamic kindergartens also qualify for Austrian state subsidies-which in effect means that the Austrian taxpayers are helping to finance the Islamist centers.

  1. “French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron warned that if Britain chooses to leave the European Union, France may withdraw permission for the UK to maintain border controls in Calais, which would cause migrants to flood the Channel tunnel.”

That sounds like a threat. It sounds like extortion pure and simple. They must have learned it from Ergodan, who is nothing more or less than a gangster. He used extortion so the EU would pay him billions to stop migrant flows from Turkey which I don’t think he really did because after all he is a gangster. If the British do exit and if the French do make good on their threat all they have to do is flood their half of the Channel tunnel. Who needs the French – they’re overrated anyway.

    • It is a threat. It is not the only threat that the British voters have received over their exit from Europe and it will not be the last. It is extortion of the worst kind and the EU has shown in the past that it is a bad loser. But it is a loser and that is why the British wish to leave.

    • French Islamy lowering standards quicker than a Muslim Gee had e can take a flying leap at a rolling croissant. Hoping for his reward when the Merdogan from Turkey drives his old Ottoman jalopy west to meet up somewhere or udder. Poor old France. Time to start again. The patriots have their work cut out for them.

    • I have never felt so ashamed of a British politician as I did for the porcine, parsimonious Cameron as he strode across the graves of troops (that fought and died in the first world war) this week in tow of the equally odious political pygmy
Hollande (obviously having gained prior permission from his political mistress mutti Merkel to neglect his handbag carrying duties for the day)
Cameroon compounded his shame by standing by with a supercilious smirk on his face as the French political toad had the temerity to “WARN” the UK of the consequences of a successful Brexit! Coupled with the news that Merkel could win the Nobel Peace prize and is lined up to be the next UN Secretary General did millions of people die in two world wars for this? Europe deserves better than that, if people aren’t willing to fight for their hard won freedoms, for the sake of the current and future generations, their ancestors will never rest in peace.

    • There will be dancing and poncing in the streets of old Rome again. His popeeness no doubt will be following up with speeches and sermons on the true meaning of jihad. He, I imagine will be growing a beard to boot. The once simple question, “Is this guy even Catholic?”

    • Good thing! The Pope is an idiot, but you knew that. I feel sorry for the RCs in our midst. While I don’t agree with their theology, the church always seemed fairly decent – not any more.

      • Yes, it’s sad. Where I used to live it seemed like the only sane people in town were the Catholics. Everyone else had been mentally consumed by ridiculous notions of “progressiveness”. Now… I feel really bad for the Catholics.

  2. It’s fine for the Pope, he won’t be around long enough to see the dire consequences. My guess is he thinks it better to have nice warm feelings whilst he is with us.

    • I think he’s bogus. When Benedict was forced to resign – hadn’t happened since the 11th century or so – I knew whoever replaced him was in on The Fix. And what do we have? An Argentinian Jesuit who drank up a whole lotta Liberation theology kool aid.

As far as can be known they ditched Benedict because he was a first class theologian and church historian. He knew the dangers of Islam and spoke out. His dethronement is a warning to the others.

  3. Lots of sad stories in this news collection.

The Swedish pool patrol story demonstrates that members of the Ummah are at the very top of the Left’s victim totem pole. They are literally our new state-sanctioned overlords, free to do as they please on the taxpayer’s euro/dollar.

France continues its politics of pure cowardice. I would expect no less from a cabinet filled with foreigners with no loyalty to the French nation or people.

Sad to hear about Romania’s ongoing exodus. It seems like a beautiful country with terrific people that just can’t get it together.

    • It is a beautiful country, but there is an old (Romanian) saying: When God created the universe he made Romania the most beautiful country and then to make things fair he put the worse people there!

  4. For the first time since Pope Paul VI the Catholic Church has a dodgy Liberal, Liberationist and Internationalist office holder.
    Needs watching.

  5. Dymphna, I totally agree with you. The current “pope” is a committed socialist and I am currently paying no attention to anything coming out of Rome.

Benedict will (I hope) eventually be um. . . what’s the word? Exhonorated? Rehabilitated (that sounds a little commie) or. . . who knows? However, I hope the truth will eventually come out.

You and Baron, take care and keep up the good work!

  6. Well, the frogs have always been good about making alliances to protect their territory. I jest. The French hate everybody. I was in France just after WWII when we pulled their sorry butts out of the German vise and you would think they would show a little gratitude. As Americans, we got nothing but attitude. It seems they do not like the Brits much better.

We did assist them in keeping their socialism intact when we agreed to protect them from aggression after the war. Our mistake. Perhaps if they had to protect themselves by building up and maintaining a military, their politics, might have been such as to preclude a Muslim invasion. Maybe not. We will never know but it appears that Islam will be their overlords now and they will rue the day. My heart bleeds for France even though they never liked us much.

    • To be fair, the French do look after the graves of our war dead with respect, and returning veterans are welcomed and honoured.

  7. ‘Bikini clad poolside….’
“For taking part in a neo-Nazi knife attack against ‘anti-racist’ protestors…”

A “neo-Nazi” knife attack? The insane wording of the left!

  8. Just a minute here! The plot thickens! The French have threatened the Free-Thinking Republic of U.K. But the self-appointed Holiness (David Cameron) has vowed that the U.K. will NOT leave the almighty umbrella of Brussels. London’s mayor (my good friend, Boris) is encouraging Brexit, and is now getting heat from Cameron who refuses to have his agenda upended. Further, if Trump is elected President then he’ll be arrested if he steps foot on U.K. soil. Blimey! This is screwed up!

  9. My grandfather who was an escathotologist (and British) always said that it would exit the EU and that the Brits were not European. About time actually. Hurrah for the movement to leave.
