  1. Islam has given the world nothing but grief and heartache

All that oil, all that money and only evil…..

What an inheritance no praise be unto him

    • The money wasted by the oil oligarchs is utterly mind-numbing. Their supplies are declining so they’re scared now, and will begin to double-down on the behavior driven by their insane, sadistic beliefs…

…Not to forget their “friend”, Obama. Israel can consider itself lucky to have BHO’s enmity. Saudi Arabia’s interests have been sabotaged as our feckless leader plays into the hands of Shi’ite Iran, further mucking up the already chaotic MENA stupidities our government has foisted on the area.

      • Also, the American’s hostility makes it much easier in diplomatic terms for Israel to align with Putin. Israel can handle the known duplicity and probably has the human intelligence (HUMINT, as I learned from reading Wretchard) in place to do so. Just think of all those Russian Jews displaced to Israel and ready to roll – Russian style, of course.

One advantage Israel has, which I haven’t seen discussed, is its global melting pot population. While assimilation is difficult, the rewards are obvious: cultural diversity founded on a bedrock of “already belonging” offers an immense flexibility. No doubt it’s somewhat under-utilized but that’s just human nature politics…

        • Multiculti works as long as Muslims are not part of it, Sderot was mainly North African (Maroc, Tunis) but many Russians came in since the 90’s.

Although there is not much integration between the communities, the second generations will be Hebrew first language and much more comfortable as a result.

Muslims always hold shariah first, and that is always a disincentive to any reasonable integration. However the increasing wealth in the Israeli-Arab community does much to help integration, many Israeli Arabs support Israel as much as they are able given their own circumstances and the need for Islamic “virtue signalling” in order to remain safe within the society.

          • It was a supremely wise decision to make Israel a Hebrew-first speaking nation for very reason you mention of unifying disparate ethnicities; it was easier for all groups to forsake their historical tongues for one that was uniquely Judaic and, hence, become uniquely Israeli. Even more astounding is that it’s a liturgical language that was consciously revived to be a vulgate tongue; this would be akin to reviving Latin as the everyday language of Italy or Spain and having it universally adopted.

  2. A good essay from Walter Russell Mead’s site. Cologne’s mayoress thinks pictograms would work in explaining appropriate behavior to the invaders:

The German political establishment still doesn’t get it. One week after the (belated) revelation of the mass sexual assault in Cologne on New Year’s Eve, Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker has given a singularly out-of-touch interview to Der Spiegel. In it, she advocates using “pictograms for refugees explaining public life in Germany about how to act in this society” to prevent sexual assault during the city’s famously lurid Fasching, or Carnival season, and defending her comments that women should keep men at “arm’s length” on the grounds that “nobody is offering any constructive suggestions.”

    http://www.the-american-interest.com/2016/01/11/germany-needs-to-find-a-golden-mean/

Germany needs to find a spine before it can even begin to reach for a “golden mean”…

    • She has to pretend that these are normal everyday folk who just don’t ‘understand’. I would prefer to look at them as culturally brainwashed sociopaths let loose on an unwary and trusting society.

      Reker says;

“don’t treat them like a louse, make them welcome in your house:
But be sure that you lock up your wives and daughters:

Oh the Jerries and the mu[slims] should be friends…”

      (apologies to Rogers and Hammerstein)

      • I don’t know why “Jerries” is okay and the Muslim pejorative is not. But it appears [to me] that “Jerries” is simply “Germans” in the same way that, say, “Yanks” are Americans. Perhaps “Brits” is more apt a comparison.

        • I liked the ‘ies’ endings as more lyrical, but rules are rules,

‘Jerries’ is every bit as non-non-insulting as the M word, but the Germans are a somewhat more tolerant people and have not kicked up a fuss.

Perhaps it is more akin to ‘limeys’ and is thus lost in history, we foreigners have to be careful with ‘Yanks’, I would not want to call a gentleman from Virginia a Yank 🙂

          • I was first called a Yank back in 1966, during my first year a grammar school in Yorkshire. I got used to it. It don’t confront me none.

        • In WW1, British soldiers were “Tommies”. In WW2, the Panzer crews called Sherman tanks “Tommy Cookers”. Who says the Germans have no sense of humour (albeit bleak)?

    • The leftists just don’t get it. They keep assuming that everyone in the world wants to behave appropriately in a foreign country and if they don’t then it’s just because they don’t know how.

The concept that people from some countries may just not even care how they’re supposed to behave and do not want to behave appropriately never seems to occur to them.

    • Reker is talking absolute sphericals. Even a retarded artichoke with a hearing impediment would understand that if Muslims could be taught anything about civilised behaviour then they wouldn’t be Muslims in the first place.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

  3. Just about sums my feelings up about this retrograde socio-political system. Kills not just people but humanity’s progress by tying us up dealing with their “wanting to rule the planet” childishness.

  4. It’s hard to believe were going land a man on Mars in maybe 25 years? But Europe is being invaded by the 7th century. I have a hard time actually believing what’s going on over there, from here in the US.

    For Islam to behave moderatly
Would be an act of total insanity
    Islam means ‘submission’
To all even Muslim’s , oppression
    Using violence to proselytize totally

    • The proselytizing violence is an overplayed stereotype, which does not reflect the reality of roughly 20% plus of humanity.
Anyone can pick a large enough population, apply constant monitoring & then highlight fringe behaviour as representing the norm to the ignorant or agenda-driven echo chambers.

      • Muslim —

I have asked you reasonable questions previously and received no answers If you fail to answer the questions detailed below, I shall assume that you are a troll, and any subsequent comments by you will be deleted.

You say: “The proselytizing violence is an overplayed stereotype”.

There is a text of Islamic law that defines jihad. In full, its title is ’Umdat al-salik wa ’uddat al-nasik, or The reliance of the traveller and tools of the worshipper. It is commonly referred to as Reliance of the Traveller when cited in English.

The Revised Edition (published 1991, revised 1994) is “The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law ’Umdat al-Salik by Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri (d. 769/1368) in Arabic with Facing English Text, Commentary, and Appendices”, edited and translated by Nuh Ha Mim Keller. The publisher is listed as amana publications in Beltsville, Maryland.

It is an authoritative source on Sunni Islamic law, because it is certified as such by Al-Azhar University in Cairo. There is no higher authority on Sunni Islamic doctrine than Al-Azhar. The government of Saudi Arabia has given its seal of approval to this translation as an authoritative source on the fiqh.

Book O, “Justice”, § 9 begins the section on jihad. Jihad is similarly defined in Book X “The Book of Jihad” from Ibn Rushd’s book The Distinguished Jurist, and in Book XIII “Siyar (Relations with non-Muslims)” of the Hidayah:

Jihad means to war against non-Muslims and it is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying war to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad.

It goes on to explain that the greater jihad is the struggle for the spiritual self. However, it also tells us that the hadith that is weak or false, depending on what authority is referenced, so is not authoritative. When the book refers to the greater and lesser jihad, it indicates that it is not a part of the law of jihad.

The following passage is from an English-language high school textbook from the Islamic Center of Oakland, California:

To be true Muslims, we must prepare and be ready for jihad in Allah’s way. It is the duty of the citizen and the government. The military education is glued to the faith and its meaning, and the duty to follow it.

Take a look at Koran 4:95:

Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit at home. Unto all in Faith Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward…

Majid Khadduri, a professor at Johns Hopkins University, wrote War and Peace in the Law of Islam (1955):

It follows that the existence of a dar al-Harb is ultimately outlawed under the Islamic jural order; that the dar al-Islam is permanently under jihad obligation until the dar al-Harb is reduced to non-existence; and that any community accepting certain disabilities must submit to Islamic rule and reside in the dar al-Islam or be bound as clients to the Muslim community. The universality of Islam, in its all embracing creed, is imposed on the believers as a continuous process of warfare, psychological and political if not strictly military. (pp. 63-64)

Continuing with the discussion of the “lesser” jihad Reliance of the Traveller says:

The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus is such Koranic verses as:

        • Fighting is prescribed for you (Koran 2:216)
        • Slay them wherever you find them (Koran 4:89)
        • Fight the idolators utterly (Koran 9:36)

        And at o9.0:

… and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

“I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay the zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them.”

I could go on, but you get the idea.

I’ll just add a short quote from The Quranic Concept of War, which was written in 1979 by the serving Brigadier General S. K. Malik when he was chief of staff of the Pakistani army.

So spirited, zealous, complete and thorough should be our preparation for war that we should enter upon the ‘war of muscles’ having already won the ‘war of will’. Only a strategy that aims at striking terror into the hearts of the Enemies from the preparation stage can produce direct results and turn Liddell Hart’s dream into a reality. (p. 58)

So please explain to me: How do you determine that “The proselytizing violence is an overplayed stereotype” in Islam?

Or: Which verses of the Koran, and which authentic Hadith, are you willing to repudiate?

          • It would be interesting if it did try to answer here, NG. This is the worst of all wrong places to try to peddle the Leftist appeasing smoke and mirrors drivel that normally passes for a rational explanation of the primitive predilections of the Religion of Death and Slavery. I’m quite looking forward to it 🙂
            S III.

        • Seneca, I really actually do enjoy “Muslim” turning up to talk sphericals.

He can only take he argument so far until the unfortunate inclusion of facts which he cannot answer.

      • Muslim:

I know most people are peaceful most of the time. just in the course of ordinary life. The problem is that Islam by comparison to other modern religions too violent. TOO MANY attacks have already been done by a people who seem hostile to secular values in the countries they have come in to.

        Also in MANY Muslim countries atheists and other religions and sexual minorities are persecuted.{Amnesty International reports}

This is what I don’t like about Islam!

        • You explained part of the problems inherent in Islam. Remember, it’s not a religion but a juridical supremacist ideology. A barbarity more regressive than Soviet Communism. Even Chinese authoritarianism is less cruel.

      • Muslim,

You’ve missed the point of the images, which is the remarkable sterility of Islamic civilisation, its thousand-year torpor compared to the West. I’d also welcome a debate on the subject.

  5. I cannot understand why Merkel, a failed communist who emerged from the East German State when the Berlin Wall came down, holds Germany and the rest of Europe in her thrall! She invites the 3rd world rabble in and blames everyone else when it goes wrong. A judge has ruled that she has HISTORICALLY breached the German Constitution, which also states, citizens may defend themselves in just such a situation. So come on the German Volk, get rid of this deluded sociopathic chancellor, the law is on your side, Impeach and convict her. No excuse not to now.

    • I agree with you re Merkel’s sociopathy, but the road to impeachment is blocked at every turn. Before there can be impeachment, there must be a dissolution of everyday life as it was before Merkel’s Madness, and a realization by a sizeable enough number of people that she has blocked the road back to normalcy.

After this rough awakening to the nightmare reality created by a mad woman must come a gathering of enough citizens from all ranks of life who are willing/able to risk the dangers inherent in organizing against her. Despair must be conquered; tough decisions must be made by people who’d never planned on having to make them.

Germany, like the rest of Europe (or perhaps even more so than the rest of Europe) has been hollowed out by the hubris which material success brings. The underlying ethos is crumbling.

What will hold them together long enough to do as you suggest?

I don’t know where you live Mr. Davies, but I don’t know of any country which has the mechanisms or men or materiel in place to carry out your suggestion. Here in America we have the Three Percenters, but even they realize that fundamental change begins at the bottom.

Not everyone is cut out to be Bonhoeffer:

The turning of the police against business-as-usual is a good sign.

So is the beginning of the end of silence among the MSM.

And now we have a lone jurist pointing to the Constitution.

Let’s see what happens at Carnival…

In general, Karneval is the word used for the Rhenish (Rhineland) version of carnival in northwest Germany (except in Mainz), while the word Fasching refers to the similar celebration in southern Germany and Austria. The big day for Karneval is the Rose Monday parade, whereas the big Fasching parades are usually the day before, on Carnival Sunday. (The big final parade for Mardi Gras in New Orleans is on Shrove Tuesday.) But one of Germany’s biggest carnival parades takes place in the northern German city of Braunschweig, also on Carnival Sunday. Called “Schoduvel” (“scaring away the devil”), the Braunschweig carnival dates back to 1293.

      http://www.german-way.com/history-and-culture/holidays-and-celebrations/fasching-and-karneval/

That will be enough to keep the cultural enrichers busy for a few days. This time, look for the police to be prepared. And one can assume German women will be more ready than they were on New Year’s Eve.

  6. Very witty series of photos Baron. When you have got time, perhaps a little photo spread on a very funny subject; Islamic Science.

  7. Yes indeed, however the montage should start at 500 BC in Athens or perhaps earlier in Ionia, about 600 BC when our incomparable civilisation first appeared.
