Marine Le Pen: “The Criminal Actions of European Institutions”

Below is the speech given in the European Parliament by Marine Le Pen, the leader of the Front National in France, in the wake of the jihad massacre in Paris on November 13.

0:00   OK, Mme Le Pen has the floor.
0:04
0:08   Dear colleagues, France suffered
0:12   an absolutely horrendous ordeal on Friday 13 November.
0:16   I think the first respect we have to pay to
0:20   the victims is to name what has
0:24   assassinated them. But neither from
0:28   our French leadership nor in all the speeches which
0:32   I heard this morning have I heard the name of the assassin.
0:36   The assassin is not the “terrorism”; terrorism is
0:40   the weapon that is in the hand of the assassin.
0:44   The murderer is the ideology in the name
0:48   of which terrorism does the killing. It is
0:52   Islamist Fundamentalism, and you must say it!
0:56   Because if you don’t say it, if you are unable
1:00   to name the enemy, then
1:04   obviously you cannot fight it!
1:08   But perhaps some of you are embarrassed to name it,
1:12   because naming it forces one to question certain international friendships.
1:16   It forces one to ask oneself the question
1:20   of whether one can continue to have Saudi Arabia as an ally,
1:24   or Qatar. It forces one to ask oneself
1:28   about the ambiguity of Turkey regarding
1:32   Islamist fundamentalism. It obliges one
1:36   to face up to it and say that, yes,
1:40   the majority of international agreements,
1:44   of international alliances we passed, push us in reality
1:48   to be today, objectively, the allies of Islamist fundamentalism,
1:52   rather than its enemies. So I propose
1:56   that we change our alliances, and I suggest
2:00   that all those who fight against Islamist fundamentalism must be
2:04   considered as allies, without any reservations,
2:08   including, of course, Muslim countries that fight against Islamist fundamentalism,
2:12   such Egypt, the United Arab Emirates
2:16   evidently Russia, Iran,
2:20   and then, in the frame of this grand coalition we can expect to be effective
2:24   against Islamist fundamentalism. But I have to say also
2:28   that one of the reasons for the alienation of France is Europe’s imbecile politics,
2:32   which today is an obstacle to the return of security for the French people.
2:36   First among these imbecile policies is
2:40   the question of mass immigration, which is old
2:44   and which is the terrain of sectarianism (?) and the answer to the question you ask:
2:48   ”But why are there terrorists who are born
2:52   on our European soil?” It’s because of this:
2:56   it’s because mass immigration has brought about sectarianism(?),
3:01   and that “communitarianism/sectarianism” is the terrain on which
3:05   the Islamist fundamentalism recruits
3:09   their future soldiers. The EU announced
3:13   that three million migrants will arrive in Europe next year
3:17   Of course we do not equate ALL
3:21   migrants with terrorists. Of course not. However,
3:25   what I denounced in September in this parliament, the infiltration by Jihadists
3:29   in the middle of this wave of migrants, is a reality, and last Friday this reality
3:33   killed. You can pretend not to see this,
3:37   but this reality is here and one cannot
3:41   ignore it. Continue to let this flood of migrants
3:45   come in, uncontrolled, when you know very well that the EU
3:49   and that the countries at the European borders are totally incapable
3:53   of controlling anything whatsoever and even less
3:57   the identity of those who arrive, and
4:01   you forego the means to fight against
4:05   this terrible danger. I tell you, we want
4:09   to get back our national borders, we have no confidence
4:13   in the European borders, which are a veritable sieve.
4:17   Today the French borders are again
4:21   controlled, temporarily, and we will do everything in our power
4:25   so that they remain controlled definitively.
4:29   You talk about control of information, but what control?!
4:33   The passports held by the terrorists are not
4:37   fake passports, they are REAL passports, issued by the ‘Islamic State’
4:41   in the administrative bureaus they have taken over in Syria.
4:45   That too is a reality which has to be faced.
4:49   In the same manner, you imposed austerity on us. This austerity
4:53   obliged us to disarm. It is because of this austerity
4:57   imposed by the EU that we have fewer soldiers,
5:01   fewer police, fewer gendarmes, fewer border guards
5:05   We’ve had enough of your politics of austerity; we’ve had enough
5:09   of YOU deciding the priorities of OUR budgets.
5:13   We want to take back our budgetary sovereignty
5:17   in order to decide that it is more useful for us today to
5:21   give budgetary priority to the security
5:25   of our territory. It is we who want to decide
5:29   this. Since 13 November the state of mind of the French people
5:33   has changed. The European institutions must understand that for us
5:37   nothing will ever be like it was before. The immigration folly, the hatred of borders
5:41   the obsession with austerity,
5:45   the bad choices of international alliances, have become dangers
5:49   clearly identified by the French people. An increasing minority shares our views on these subjects.
5:53   There’s no doubt that the views are becoming predominantly lucid.
5:57   We will be relentless in denouncing these dangers in order to defend the security of the French people
6:01   against actions by European institutions, which I consider
6:05   criminal.

    • God bless this courageous woman for at least persevering and people like Farage and Wilder’s are on the same page too. The European citizens now have a clear choice before them, sit on your hands and submit to the insane left or take civil action and defend your birthright. Apathy is no longer an option, Wherever Merkel appears there should be mass demonstrations and her deluded “vision” for Europe should be loudly derided if only for her sheer arrogance

  1. That was much less impressive than I expected. Iran is against “Islamic Fundamentalism”?! No. It’s generally against Sunni Islam, but willing to ally with it, as probably happened on 9/11/2001.

She even gets wrong the enemy. It’s not “Islamic Fundamentalism” but ISLAM. Only Wilders seems to get this and say it.

    • She has millions, millions of Muslims in her country, as well as the entrenched Left to deal with. She has to tread carefully, or things could spiral out of control. But she’s not, you’ll notice saying “Islam is a religion of peace.”
And as for Iran, I’ve seen no evidence of their involvement in either 9-11 or terrorist attacks in Europe, all of which have been carried out by Sunni Salafists.

      • Iran is considered the number one state sponsor of terrorism by the US government, excluding our “Christian” president. Iran is at war with the US, with

      • … Hezbollah its main instrument.

There is indeed some evidence implicating Hezbollah AND Iraq in 9/11. Iran is willing to work with Sunnis, as it does with Hamas.

Sorry, but it’s absurd to suggest that Iran is anti-terror, as Le Pen says. That’s just as stupid as Bush proclaiming Islam a religion of peace. Just because Iran has a different plan for conquest it doesn’t follow that it is friendly. We’ll see this wine when it goes nuclear.

        • I wonder why she would suggest it then? Perhaps because they are currently allied with Russia in supporting Assad’s Alawite regime in Syria against ISIS and John McCain’s “moderate” rebels?

  2. The audience is not listening, that I consider the saddest of all. In their own country, the festival carnage, the victims, who do have power if they will but just take it.
