The first shoe hit the floor back in 2008, and it has taken seven years — far longer than the Muslims who made the threats had intended — for the other shoe to fall.
The jihad atrocities committed in Paris last night strongly resembled those carried out in Mumbai almost exactly seven years ago. But this year’s earlier attacks in Paris (the Charlie Hebdo massacres) and Copenhagen were the same type of action on a smaller scale. And in all three the attacks targeting the native ethnic group were immediately followed by a concerted effort to hit Jewish targets and kill Jews.
Bearing that in mind, Vlad and I waited last night for grim news to emerge from one of the Jewish neighborhoods in Paris. We expected it to happen before anyone claimed responsibility for the attacks — that would be the normal pattern. But the Islamic State announced that it was responsible for all the terror and bloodshed in the wee hours, without any Jewish targets being hit.
Or so it seemed. During the night Oz-Rita did some research and discovered this video recorded by a group of menacing “youths” from the banlieues who issued an ultimatum to the management of the Bataclan café. The Bataclan is the entertainment venue in Paris where the greatest number of casualties were reported in last night’s attacks: an estimated one hundred people were killed at that location.
It turns out that the Bataclan is owned by a Jew or Jews, and had in the past, according to the mujahideen, held charitable fundraising events to benefit the IDF. The management was told in no uncertain terms that if they did not cancel all such future events, the consequences would be dire indeed.
Was last night’s massacre at the Bataclan their promised revenge? It’s hard to tell. The “youths” were objecting to an event scheduled for the following year, which is now six years ago. However, perhaps it took this long for them to recruit, supply, and work out the logistics for the righteous massacre of the enemies of Allah. Or maybe they had to wait until a sufficient number of experienced and hardened mujahideen for the Islamic State had flooded Europe.
Or maybe there is no connection. It could all be a coincidence.
Many thanks to Oz-Rita for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

00:00 | Bataclan Café | |
00:04 | Paris 20.12.2008. Militants “for Palestine” warn the Bataclan:
00:08 | ”If the Bataclan and the Migdal organise, as in previous years, a gala for the Magav, the border guards of the IDF
00:16 | …people will no longer tolerate it and you will pay (sic) the consequences of your acts. Next time we will not come to talk”.
00:24 | Good evening. We want to know if there is someone from the administration here
00:28 | We want to speak to a member of the administration
00:32 | For four years now, each year a gala has been organised here
00:36 | for (unclear?) connected with the IDF.
00:40 | Each January this has happened for some years
00:44 | (unclear) several suburbs in the Parisian region
00:48 | the people of the quartiers support the Palestinians.
00:52 | (They?) start to crack up from what is a clear provocation
00:56 | (muffled by Arafat hankies)… who are a section of the IDF
01:00 | which today commits crimes in Gaza in Jordan.
01:04 | At the checkpoints they humiliate women and
01:08 | old Palestinian men. It’s shameful and an outrage
01:12 | and don’t listen to people who are revolted by the injustice that happens in Palestine.
01:16 | We know that Bataclan welcomes each year galas to collect funds for the IDF.
01:20 | The Bataclan apparently offers the room
01:24 | graciously to those organisers who
01:29 | are the (?) it’s a little group of racist Israelis.
01:33 | you can see on their internet site that they are against Islam,
01:37 | they are against Arabs and keep insulting us.
01:41 | We will not continue to accept this. We are clear, we are determined this means
01:45 | that we do not want this Gala to take place. We will have means to meet the director
01:49 | to give him this message directly. The security of
01:53 | these events is assured by the Jewish Defense League and by
01:57 | (?). These are groups
02:01 | who assure the security of the Bataclan, they come to the quartiers
02:05 | for demonstrations and they beat up women and children,
02:09 | and have committed racist aggressions against Arabs and Muslims. It’s something
02:13 | we wanted to pass on to your direction
02:17 | what is happening in our quartiers, everywhere, in Mont La Jolie (?)
02:21 | in La Courneuve, in the 91, 94 everywhere there are brothers
02:25 | who today will not tolerate this provocation any longer, and concerning this
02:29 | you have to know that it’s a special year,
02:33 | it’s a year where in Gaza (muffled by Arafat Hanky)
02:37 | dozens and hundreds of (unclear)
02:41 | and the rage and revolt in my quartier is something we will have difficulty controlling.
02:45 | We want to pass on a message (muffled).
02:49 | Today I will be nice, but know that
02:53 | despite all the people we have behind us, we will not be able to hold them back for long.
02:57 | This is what I wanted to say and now I will retire,
03:01 | but know that we will wait with impatience
03:05 | the exact revelation (?) about the Gala not taking place.
03:09 | And know that (? muffled) it’s not against you but against those
03:13 | who organise these provocations.
03:17 | No worries. | |
03:30 | We came to the Bataclan simply with a small team, to pass a very clear message
03:34 | to the owner of the Bataclan who, once again, welcomes
03:38 | this year a gala to support the IDF and collect funds
03:42 | for the Magav, the border guards. We wanted to pass a clear and firm message.
03:46 | This provocation has taken place for a certain number of years,
03:50 | and for some years many youths in our quartiers
03:54 | have wanted to react. And for several years each time the associations
03:58 | do their little reaction. But it is clear now.
04:02 | It’s a message which is firstly for the owner of the Bataclan: you will assume
04:06 | responsibility for your acts.
04:10 | To the organisers of the Migdal, this pro-Israel organisation
04:14 | that is racist and Islamophobic, who spend their time insulting Palestinians,
04:18 | Arabs and Muslims. You will pay the consequences for your acts.
04:22 | It’s something very grave which you are doing and it’s a message to all
04:26 | who are preoccupied by the consequences which these provocations could have, know that
04:30 | in the “quartiers” today, things move and are heating up. We came today
04:34 | to pass on a message; next time we will not come to talk to you. Rendezvous on the 21 January 2009.
04:38 | Watch this date and the place on the Zionist and Islamophobic site: www.migdal.org. The Palestinians count on us. |
To impede the way of Mohammed or Al Sunna is justification one to declare Jihad or violence in the name name of Allah. I was just watching YouTube videos on Islamic training camps in the USA. It only a matter of time before they go into terrorist mode, time to close them down is now.
Not likely, this was a coordinated assault, that required time, recruiting and training the attackers, money, planning. and intelligence. Not capabilities found among some Arab halfwits. This took weeks or months to set up.
But it also shows a level of sophistication not seen before in attacks. This is not good for us.
Also factor in the Paris police were aware a attack was in the works for months and they had their ear to the ground.
It’s also worrisome that they had so many attackers willing to kill themselves. The prior MO’s were mostly hit and run attacks where the attacker fled rather than die in a shoot out with the cops.
Your theory is not incompatible with the possibility that this was revenge as described in the video. The “youths” may have been forced to wait until a better command and control structure was in place among the French mujahideen.
No problem finding young, strong men willing to kill themselves in a strict 7th-century type Islamic environment.
Why is this?
–No access to women #1. Prostitution is, if available at all, invisible. If discovered, punished by death.
–No access to women #2. Dating not a concept at all; marriages are arranged by the families of the young woman and her prospective husband.
–No access to women #3. Marriage? Surely you jest! Older, established men get first pick, and they can have up to four “wives” at a time, thus guaranteeing a shortage of women.
–No access to recreation, either. Alcohol is forbidden. Drugs are forbidden (but strangely available in most Muslim countries). Possession of alcohol is severely punished; Westerners found in possession of small, personal amounts of alcohol are usually deported from the Islamic country in question.
So there you are, in your early twenties, a normal young man. No women anywhere on the horizon. (Should you happen to be gay, you must keep this fact strictly to yourself or risk being thrown from the top of mountains or tall buildings as a form of execution.) Can’t even get drunk and go wild!
I’m not sure of the status of card playing or other gambling. The only sure knowledge I have is that horse-racing and betting on it are allowed in Saudi, and camel-racing is allowed in various places throughout the Islamic world. There may or may not be prizes for the winners supported via bets.
Women, alcohol, gambling. None of the first two and probably very little of the third. Why not blow oneself up?
Telling men they get no fun on earth and plenty of it in the hereafter, provided that they kill infidels on the way out, was a diabolically clever way to ensure a large pool of eager warriors. But there was also the promise of war booty, including slave women, to enjoy in this world.
Disagree regarding the alleged level of “sophistication” in these attacks.
Locations could have been scouted and planning could have been handled face-to-face over 3 to 4 weeks in mosques after Friday prayers.
Timing and coordination is easily handled via cheap cellphones with 1-month prepaid SIMs.
Baron,
Perhaps I should be more upset about what happened last night. But frankly, I am not. After all, [Lengthy anti-Gallic screed redacted. I’m not approving nasty anti-Semitic comments, and I won’t approve nasty anti-French comments either. Fair is fair. –BB]
Some scribbler at Salon scribbled that when these attacks occur we should not blame muslims but look at ourselves! While the west is busy being introspective and contemplative these subhuman primates will destroy the world and sadly all the idiots who scribble at Salon will go too
From Spiegel Online, August 2005: 6th phase of the ISIS plan…just a wee bit ahead of schedule.
See “Total Confrontation 2016: Al Qaeda”:
“It was airily dismissed in 2011 by the Director of the CIA, the tainted John Brennan:
‘Al Qaeda’s grandiose vision of global domination through a violent Islamic caliphate. That vision is absurd … a feckless delusion that is never going to happen.’”

Dear Baron, the venue was sold by its Jewish owners on 11th September after forty years. At least one owner emmigrated to Israel. I do not know who the new owners are.
Thank you. Yes, I have an article about it for tonight’s news feed.
Pascal Laloux is a former owner. The Times of Israel.
Thank you for this video clip. It shows that we are already in a civil war, not of our own making despite the half-brains at the Guardian. Certain suburbs support the Palestinians. That’s all we need to know.
The irony is that pro-Palestinian sentiment is so prevalent today, especially among the young. that probably a large number of the dead would have supported them against Israel! Most also probably felt sorry for the Muslims in general as it was a young group and they have been brain washed by Marxism at school and university.
There are many plots out there and our governments cannot protect us. The root of Islamic aggression lies with the power of the parasitic imam cleric class and until that class is neutralized, nothing will change.
The AP story of the attack in my newspaper which was obviously headlines didn’t mention Islam or Muslims until deep into the story at paragraph #17 and then only in passing.
Today’s page one of the Wall Street Journal did the same thing;
Para one: Today’s attack (By whom?)
Para two: Gunmen did it (Who were they?)
Para three: The attackers still at large (who?)
Para Four: Terrorist attack (By whom?)
Para Five : Hollande soothes the nation (Who did it, idiot child?)
Par 6: Hollande closes border (Against whom, Francois?)
Para 7: It was unclear who was behind the attack (That is priceless)
Para 8: 2nd biug attack in Paris in a year – “claiming allegiance to the Islamic State
Para 9 – Attack on train by unmade gunman
You get the pricture
If the WSJ and the AP had used similar editorial censorship some years ago and Roosevelt was in the Obama/Hollande/Cameron mode:
December 8, 1941
“FLASH – The US Pacific Fleet was totally destroyed this morning at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Planes with round red circles dropped bombs all morning. Military spokesmen totally baffled by who attacked but announced that a thorough investigation will be launched sometime in the next 6 months and a detailed report should be available by mid-August 1945. President Roosevelt was informed but had all day meetings about railroad working conditions and couldn’t be reached fro comment.”
Other shoe, indeed.
I used to live in Paris. That was in the late 50s and there were problematic muslims even then, but none as brazen or murderous as those last night.
Here is an analogy to use: importing muslims into a western society is like sprinkling mold spores on a fresh loaf of bread. The results will inevitably be similar.
Not without the intervention of marxism.
I popped over to Richochet, where Clare Berlinski (who lives in Paris) enjoined her readers not to say bad things about Muslims because she knows some Muslim immigrants and they’re nice people and she has a good Algerian-French friend who’s as much a victim as anyone, etc.
One commenter (referencing the estimated proportion of “radicals” among Muslim populations) asked: If you knew that 15% of the donuts at a certain shop were poisoned, but couldn’t tell which ones, would you still bring those donuts into your home — since after all the other 85% are completely harmless?
I really don’t care about the hurt feelings of “nice” Muslims. Their belief system is poison, and the ones who won’t attack you will still try to pressure the whole society to conform to it.
Tfrom Times of Israel:
the Bataclan theater, targeted in Friday night’s Paris terror attacks, was Jewish-owned for decades, but was sold two months ago, its former owners said. French magazine Le Point said early Saturday that the Bataclan, where at least 80 people were massacred by Islamic State gunmen on Friday night, has for years been the target of anti-Zionist groups as the Jewish owners often put on pro-Israel events. The publication quoted a member of the extremist group Army of Islam, who told French security services in 2011 that, “We had planned an attack against the Bataclan because its owners are Jews.” The Eagles of Death Metal, the band performing at the theater when the attacks began, played in Tel Aviv’s Barby club in July.
Pascal Laloux, one of the theater’s former owners, said Saturday that the theater was “sold in September after 40 years.”
“We’re devastated because we knew everyone who worked there,” he told Israel’s Channel 2 news. His brother Joel, the co-owner, told Channel 2 that they sold the theater on September 11, and he recently immigrated to Israel. He said he took a call from the theater at the time of the attack “and I could hear the gunfire.” He also said a member of the Eagles of Death Metal was “hit by a bullet and killed.” There was no confirmation of this. “There is blood everywhere,” he said.
