European Growth Half of Global Average, Says IMF

Global growth is set to slow this year to 3.3%, its weakest pace since the financial crisis, the International Monetary Fund said on Thursday. Overall EU growth is seen unchanged at only 1.5% for 2015, but up from 0.8% in 2014. Germany and France remained unchanged at 1.6% and 1.2%.

Greek Newspapers Running Out of Paper

Greek newspapers are running out of paper and have reduced the number of pages printed. “Our supplier can’t provide us with it, as it is stuck in customs. He can’t pay the foreign suppliers, as bank transfers are blocked”, Empros daily’s chief executive Manolis Manolas, told Reuters.

Key Points From Athens’s New Bailout Plan

(ATHENS) — Greece on Thursday submitted to its eurozone creditors a new bailout plan proposing a pensions overhaul and tax hikes in return for debt relief and a three-year rescue loan.

The plan submitted to Athens’s international creditors — the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund — will be studied by eurozone ministers Saturday before a make-or-break summit of all 28 European Union leaders the following day.

The 13-page document lays out proposals similar to those put forward by Greece’s creditors on June 26 that Athens had initially rejected and put to a public referendum.

Sales Tax Reform

Greece has proposed reforming its Value Added Tax (VAT) regime — a key bone of contention in the talks — in the hope of raising revenues by 1.0 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).

Tsipras Agrees to More Austerity in Exchange for More Aid

The Greek government has unveiled plans for a €13 billion austerity budget in a last-ditch attempt to secure a debt deal with its EU creditors.

The proposal sent to Brussels Thursday evening (9 July), sets out plans to save around €13bn, far more severe than the package of €8 billion of spending cuts and tax rises contained in the proposal rejected by Sunday’s referendum.

It has also been submitted to the Greek parliament and is set to be debated and voted on Friday,

It contains much of what was proposed to creditors two weeks ago, including increasing the retirement age to 67, but goes further in the areas of VAT reform and pensions. The plan would also scrap Greece’s scheme of offering supplementary pensions to the poorest people by 2019, a year ahead of the 2020 deadline previously proposed.

“Racialised” College Group Warns Whites: “Your Race is Taking Up Space and Silencing Others”

The “Racialised Students’ Collective” of Ryerson University is warning “whites/non-racialised people” that their “race and ethnicity is taking up space and silencing others.” The Social Memo was the first site to report on the campaign.

In February, they held a “racial micro aggression campaign” and posted these pictures online:…

According to the Racialised Student Collective, simply being white is oppressive to people, even if you do not speak or act in a racist manner. They judge you poorly based completely on the color of your skin and regardless of your actions.

Agency’s Request for 52,000 Rounds of Ammo for Hoover Dam Prompts Inquiry

In a move that’s prompting questions about the stockpiling of weapons by the federal government’s nonmilitary agencies, the Bureau of Reclamation wants to buy 52,000 rounds of ammunition for use in law enforcement at Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. After learning about the purchase request, Nevada Rep. Mark Amodei vowed to inquire with the bureau about its operations, number of officers carrying firearms and how much ammunition it uses, according Brian Baluta, a spokesman for Amodei.

Department officials declined to provide specific information to the Sun regarding details of the ammunition purchase request. “We want to limit the amount of information any bad guys might have about our protection capabilities,” said Rose Davis, a Bureau of Reclamation spokeswoman.

America’s Trump Card Trumping the Left

Catching bits of the news, my wife asked, “Did Donald Trump say something against Mexicans?” I replied, “No, Trump simply dared to state statistical facts exposing the high criminal element among the illegals flooding across our border.” I’ve read horrific articles about the torture, rape and murder of Mexican women and children during their illegal journey to America not to mention the gang members and other bad people invading our homeland. The probability of getting raped is so high crossing the border illegally women take birth control.

And yet, Trump was not suppose to alert the American people. The Left immediately went into attack and destroy mode — trying to brand Trump a hater of Mexicans.

The Left had a cow when Trump stated the truth because welcoming illegals, regardless of the caliber, is how the Left restocks the Democratic Party with new uneducated and unskilled future voters who will be dependent on government and vote for Democrats who promise more freebies.

Anonymous Takes Down New York Stock Exchange; Media Pretends Cyber Attack Was Technical Incompetence ‘Glitch’

(NaturalNews) Demonstrating America’s extreme vulnerability to activist-driven hackers who are trying to make a point, the New York Stock Exchange was shuttered for most of the day yesterday, stalling out hundreds of billions of dollars in trades.

The lying mainstream media, of course, has rolled out a pathetic (yet hilarious) cover story on all this, claiming there was no hack. Instead, the NYSE is just wholly incompetent and can’t run its own computer systems reliably, we’re told.

Apparently, it would be far worse to admit that Anonymous hackers were able to shut down the NYSE at will, bringing Wall Street to its knees without even being anywhere near Wall Street. “International hacking group Anonymous wished Wall Street ill the night before the New York Stock Exchange temporarily suspended trading on all securities,” reports The Hill. “Anonymous has previously targeted Wall Street and made headlines in 2011 when it threatened to ‘destroy’ the New York Stock Exchange.”

All the usual lying media outlets are, predictably, covering up the truth that this was a cyber attack. Reuters reported the outage was due to “an internal technical issue and not the result of a cyber attack.”

In other words, they have to go out of their way to insist this was NOT a cyber attack. And why do they need to do that? Because it was a cyber attack, of course. No trading event should ever be believed as true until the NYSE officially denies it.

Not only was it a cyber attack, it was a damn successful cyber attack. It shuttered the world’s largest stock exchange for nearly half a day, after all. And although it didn’t quite lead to hoardes of investment bankers flinging themselves off tall buildings — that chapter is yet to come — it was nonetheless a remarkably effective deployment of hacking assets against one of the world’s largest financial targets.

Computer Program Fixes Old Code Faster Than Expert Engineers

What takes coders months, CSAIL’s “Helium” can do in an hour.

Enter Helium, a CSAIL system that revamps and fine-tunes code without ever needing the original source, in a matter of hours or even minutes.

The team started with a simple building block of programming that’s nevertheless extremely difficult to analyze: binary code that has been stripped of debug symbols, which represents the only piece of code that is available for proprietary software such as Photoshop.

A particular type of computational kernel popular for such software are “stencil kernels,” which allow you to do operations for entire areas of pixels. Stencil kernels are especially important to update because they use huge amounts of memory and compute power, and their performance degenerates quickly as new hardware become available.

DC Wants to Give Non-Citizens the Right to Vote

District of Columbia council members voiced their support Wednesday for a new law that would allow non-citizens to vote in local elections.

“These are residents who are well on their paths to citizenship,” Councilman David Grosso said. “Unfortunately not all of our residents have a say in the politicians who are elected to represent them.”

The bill would allow permanent residents in the city who are not American citizens to vote in elections for mayor, city council, the attorney general and State Board of Education members, among other things.

“They are our neighbors and our friends and they want to see our city flourish, yet they have no say in how the city’s government is run,” said Councilwoman Elissa Silverman.

Hil-LIE-ry: Clinton Caught in More Blatant Lies Over Benghazi

Hil-LIE-ry Clinton has again been exposed as a liar.

During her first interview for months with CNN, Tuesday, Clinton made the claim that at no point did she ever receive a subpoena from Select House Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), regarding the September 11th 2012 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi that resulted in the deaths of four Americans.

However, the very next day, Gowdy published the subpoena that he sent Clinton back in March.

Is Seattle Doing Away With Single-Family Homes?

If adopted, ideas being considered by a Seattle housing committee would be devastating to the city’s appeal, KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson said.

Get rid of single-family zoning in Seattle. That’s the big message in a draft report being worked on by Mayor Ed Murray’s housing committee, obtained by The Seattle Times.

According to a draft letter, the city needs to move away from the idea that all families can live in their own home on a piece of land, the Times reports.

Maine Becomes Sixth Constitutional Carry State

The state of Maine became the sixth in the country to allow citizens to carry firearms without the need to obtain a permit on Wednesday.

Gov. Paul Lepage (R.) signed Legislative Document 652 into law Wednesday, creating the state’s new permitless concealed carry framework. The permitless carry, commonly referred to as constitutional carry by gun rights activists, allows anyone over the age of 21 to carry a firearm so long as they legally own the firearm. Felons and other criminals are still prohibited from carrying a firearm.

Memphis City Council Approves Plan to Dig Up Confederate General

A resolution to remove Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest’s remains from a public park was passed by the Memphis, Tenn., City Council.

The council unanimously approved the plan Tuesday night to dig up Forrest’s grave from under his statue at the Health Sciences Park on Union Avenue.

“I think it’s disgusting that people use the shooting in Charleston [S.C.] and use those victims to forward their own agenda and join this anti-Confederate hysteria that’s going on,” the Sons of the Confederate Veterans spokesperson, Lee Millar, told WREG, adding that the decision was a knee-jerk reaction. “To attack something like that now I feel is just really misguided.”

City council member Myron Lowery even admitted the Charleston church shooting spurred the decision. “It was clearly after what happened in South Carolina,” he said. “It was clearly after what happened in the state capital of Tennessee.”

Michelle Obama Reveals Her ‘Modest’ $600k Changes to White House State Dining Room

Michelle Obama has given a touch-up to the White House State Dining Room, the latest interior design change that will endure long after she leaves the building at a cost of $595,000. Her modest changes to the room where many dinners and other events are held follow this year’s more dramatic remake of the Old Family Dining Room and the unveiling of the Obama china service.

The change, which has been years in the making, comes just months after head florist Laura Dowling quit her post and was escorted from the building by security…

The $590,000 tab was paid by the White House Endowment Trust. The private fund is administered by the White House Historical Association for the maintenance and upkeep of White House rooms that are open to the public, such as the Blue, Red and Green Rooms, the East Room and the State Dining Room.

Muslim Brotherhood May Have Bedroom in White House if Hillary Clinton is Elected

The New York Post reports Huma Abedin will have her own bedroom upstairs in the White House if Hillary Clinton is elected president.

Abedin is of Indian and Pakistani ancestry and lived in Saudi Arabia. She is considered Clinton’s “body woman,” a term describing a personal assistant who accompanies a politician or candidate virtually everywhere.

“Huma’s influence is so pervasive, and Hillary’s dependence on her so total, that it is expected she will have her own bedroom upstairs in the White House,” a Clinton associate Richard Turley told OrbMagazine. “After 20 years as Hillary’s gatekeeper, no one else could screen the calls and decide who gets access as ably as she does.”

Even Clinton’s husband goes through Abedin to get access to his wife.

“In thousands of emails released last week by the State Department, Abedin’s omnipresent role organizing Clinton’s life was clearly on display,” a Politico article posted on July 2 states. “Former vice president Al Gore, Sen. Chuck Schumer, and even former president Bill Clinton all phoned Abedin to reach Clinton.”

Linked to Muslim Brotherhood

Aljazeera, Al-Liwa Al-Arabi and Arab newspapers have long claimed Abedin’s mother, Saleha Abedin, belonged to the secret women’s division of the Muslim Brotherhood, known as the Muslim Sisterhood.

Huma Abedin worked for the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs, an organization supported by the Muslim World League, an Islamic group founded by the Muslim Brotherhood. A Saudi manifesto points to the institute as the vanguard of an effort to mobilize Muslim minorities in the United States to transform America into a Saudi-style Islamic state. Photo: Julie Vazquez, Wikimedia Commons

Al-Liwa Al-Arabi says the Sisterhood is known primarily for its “use [of] women in [the] underground network to smuggle secret documents for [male Muslim Brotherhood] members since women go undetected by security surveillance.”

Moreover, the Sisterhood “depends on new recruits to spread the Brotherhood’s ideology by infiltrating universities, schools and homes” and partners “with other women’s organizations worldwide and work with these concerning Islamic issues and to partner with such organizations to fulfill the interests of the Brotherhood and also to benefit from international women’s conferences and unify all efforts to benefit the Brotherhood globally.”

New MTV Show Publicly Shames White People for “What They’ve Done in America”

Editor’ s Note: Never mind the Spanish Conquistadors who killed hundreds of thousands of native Americans following the discovery of the Americas. Forget about the brutal dictatorship of Santa Ana’ s Mexico that aimed to put down white settlers in Texas, or that Texas’ independence sparked a war over territory in California years later. Forget that the slave trade was managed and often operated by African tribal leaders looking to turn a profit by shipping slaves to the new world.

The real blame for slavery, poverty and racism should be put squarely on white Americans. We are, after all, unapologetic for the transgressions some of our ancestors may have committed hundreds of years ago.

As you read the following report from Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars you’ ll quickly come to realize that their is a movement afoot. It’ s one that is designed to demonize people for the very color of their skin and completely ignores the content of their character. It is clear that racism is alive and well in the United States, but it’ s not the kind of racism we’ ve been taught over the last several decades. No, this kind of racism is a bit different and is completely denied by the establishment media and politicians, because the targets of the venomous attacks and accusations happen to have a white color to their skin, making it totally justifiable (for what factual reasons, we’ re not exactly clear).

Luckily, we have a new reality show that explains to the world, and white people in particular, why they are so vile and repulsive.

School Threatens to Call DHS if Parents Show Up Late

SALEM, Oregon — It is time for schools to become a lot more direct with parents who fail to meet their obligations toward their children?

A recent letter, sent to the parents of students at Swegle Elementary in Salem, Oregon, was rather blunt and tactless, but nonetheless honest.

It tells parents that law enforcement will be notified if their children are not picked up promptly from school, and includes a clarification of when their children need to be at school if they want to eat free breakfast, the Statesman Journal reports. The letter included the following paragraphs:

“Children must be picked up on time. If they are not picked up on time we will call (the Department of Human Services) and you will then have to pick them up at court the next day.”

Spying on the Internet is Orders of Magnitude More Invasive Than Phone Metadata

When you pick up the phone, who you’re calling is none of the government’s business. The NSA’s domestic surveillance of phone metadata was the first program to be disclosed based on documents from whistleblower Edward Snowden, and Americans have been furious about it ever since. The courts ruled it illegal, and Congress let the section of the Patriot Act that justified it expire (though the program lives on in a different form as part of the USA Freedom Act).

Yet XKEYSCORE, the secret program that converts all the data it can see into searchable events like web pages loaded, files downloaded, forms submitted, emails and attachments sent, porn videos watched, TV shows streamed, and advertisements loaded, demonstrates how Internet traffic can be even more sensitive than phone calls. And unlike the Patriot Act’s phone metadata program, Congress has failed to limit the scope of programs like XKEYSCORE, which is presumably still operating at full speed. Maybe Verizon stopped giving phone metadata to the NSA, but if a Verizon engineer uploads a spreadsheet full of this metadata without proper encryption, the NSA may well get it anyway by spying directly on the cables that the spreadsheet travels over.

The outrage over bulk collection of our phone metadata makes sense: Metadata is private. Americans call suicide prevention hotlines, HIV testing services, phone sex services, advocacy groups for gun rights and for abortion rights, and the people they’re having affairs with. We use the phone to schedule job interviews without letting our current employer know, and to manage long-distance relationships. Most of us, at one point or another, have spent long hours on the phone discussing the most intimate details about our lives. There isn’t an American alive today who didn’t grow up with at least some access to a telephone, so Americans understand this well.

But Americans don’t understand the Internet yet. Bulk collection of phone metadata is, without a doubt, a violation of your privacy, but bulk surveillance of Internet traffic is orders of magnitude more invasive. People also use the Internet in all the ways they use phones — often inadvertently sharing even more intimate details through online searches. In fact, the phone network itself is starting to go over the Internet, without customers even noticing.

To Facilitate Passage of TPP, U.S. Upgrades Malaysia in Annual Human Trafficking Report

The United States is upgrading Malaysia from the lowest tier on its list of worst human trafficking centers, U.S. sources said on Wednesday, a move that could smooth the way for an ambitious U.S.-led free-trade deal with the Southeast Asian nation and 11 other countries.

The upgrade to so-called “Tier 2 Watch List” status removes a potential barrier to President Barack Obama’s signature global trade deal.

Trump Vows to Press Ford to Cancel $2.5 Billion Mexican Plant That Will ‘Take Away Thousands’ Of U.S. Jobs

Republican presidential candidate and billionaire Donald Trump threatened Ford Motor Co. with punitive taxes if the Dearborn automaker proceeds with a new $2.5 billion Mexican plant that will “take away thousands” of U.S. jobs.

Trump, who announced his plans to run at an appearance in New York on Tuesday, vowed to impose 35 percent taxes on imported Ford vehicles and parts coming from the new Mexican plant.

Trump said he would call Ford CEO Mark Fields — whom he identified only as “the head of Ford” — to explain the “bad news.”

“Let me give you the bad news: every car, every truck and every part manufactured in this plant that comes across the border, we’re going to charge you a 35 percent tax — OK? — and that tax is going to be paid simultaneously with the transaction,” Trump said. “They are going to take away thousands of jobs.”

Under Obama, The U.S. is Captured by the Muslim Brotherhood

The Betrayal Papers: Part I — Under Obama, the US Captured by Muslim Brotherhood

This is perfect to show at Tea Party events to communicate who our current “President” really is. Narrated by Andrea Shea King.

Text of The Betrayal Papers, Part I — Under Obama, US Captured by Muslim Brotherhood, available at: theamericanreport.org/the-betrayal-papers/

The Muslim Brotherhood is an international political, financial and terrorist movement whose goal is to establish a global Islamic State (Caliphate). They have and continue to exert tremendous influence on the American government’s foreign and domestic policies under President Barack Hussein Obama. The violence in the Middle East and across North Africa is a direct consequence of the Muslim Brotherhood’s effective control over American foreign policy in the region. They operate through various “civic” front groups, as well as through American institutions who take their money as operational funding (Georgetown University, Brookings Institution).

Father of British Backpacker Raped and Murdered in Koh Tao Weeps as Graphic Photographs of Her Body Are Shown in Court

The father of the British backpacker murdered in Thailand cried as graphic pictures of the victims’ bodies were shown in court this morning.

Tony Witheridge lowered his head and wept as he and his son saw pictures of Hannah Witheridge’s bloodied body on the beach in Koh Tao.

His daughter 23, originally from Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, and David Miller, 24, from Jersey, were brutally killed on the island last September.

In court a forensic officer said that the two victims had suffered severe head injuries and Ms Witheridge had been raped.

Germany: Deadly New Squirrel Virus May Have Killed 3 Men

Squirrel breeding is a real job—and apparently a very dangerous one if you’re dealing with the wrong kind of squirrel.

After the mysterious deaths of three German men who all worked as breeders of variegated squirrels—a kind of squirrel native to Central America that’s sometimes kept as an exotic pet—researchers have identified a new virus that had apparently jumped from the squirrels to the men, LiveScience reports.

The men, who were in their 60s and regularly socialized together, died between 2011 and 2013 from inflammation of the brain, and researchers say at least two of them had been scratched or bitten by the squirrels.

They died a few months after showing symptoms, including fever and weakness. The virus found in the men is a new bornavirus, a kind of virus often found in horses and sheep, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Italy: Renzi Called Letta ‘Inept’

Leaked wiretap in CPL Concordia corruption case

(ANSA) — Rome, July 10 — Leaked wiretaps related to a corruption probe and published in Il Fatto Quotidiano paper on Friday revealed Premier Matteo Renzi made unflattering comments about former premier and fellow Democratic Party (PD) member Enrico Letta.

“He’s inept, he’s not a bad guy, just totally inept,” Renzi said about then premier Letta in a January 11, 2014, wiretapped conversation with Finance Police Interregional Commander Matteo Adinolfi.

The two were talking about an investigation into two businessmen suspected of links to the Casalesi clan of Campania’s Camorra mafia in connection with methane contracts in the province of Caserta awarded to the CPL Concordia cooperative.

Police earlier this month seized 53 million euros in assets from Claudio Schiavone and Antonio Piccolo, who were arrested April 3 in connection with the case.

Sources said recently that the CPL Concordia cooperative paid the Casalesi clan more than 23 million euros in bribes from public funds obtained for methane contracts in Caserta.

“Renzi’s remarks speak for themselves,” Letta told ANSA.

Italy: Catholic Church Receives 80% of Compulsory Income Tax

Church due to receive 1 bn euros

(ANSA) — Rome, July 8 — Eight in ten Italians chose the Catholic Church as the recipient of a compulsory donation from their annual income tax.

The church will receive more than one billion euros after it was selected by 80% of the 18,929,945 taxpayers in the country in 2011. The money will be paid to the church this year.

Under an Italian law known as the ‘eight per thousand’, taxpayers can choose whom to give a compulsory 0.8% from their annual income tax.

Italians are able to choose between an organised religion or a social assistance scheme run by the state.

Some 15% of people gave their contribution, worth 195 million euros, to the state, while the Waldensian Evangelical Church received $40.2 million.

Other recipients include the Jewish Community (5.8 million), the Lutheran Evangelical Church (4.1 million), the Seventh-Day Adventist Church (2.4 million)and the Assemblies of God in Italy (1.5 million).

Lone Gunman Arrested After Killing a Man and Woman in Drive-by Shooting in Germany

An 82-year-old woman celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary and a male cyclist have been shot dead by a lone gunman in Germany.

He fired at them from a silver Mercedes in Tiefenthal near the city of Ansbach in southern Bavarian state.

After an extensive police hunt, he was eventually bundled to the ground and tied up by workers at a petrol station after he threatened them with a gun.

The gunman, 47, was then arrested by police. The suspect, an Ansbach resident, was not previously known to the police and had no apparent connection with his victims…

The gunman was arrested at a petrol station in Bad Windsheim, about 35 kilometers (20 miles) from the scene of the shootings after staff had wrestled him to the floor and tied him up.

German police have said the shootings were not connected to terrorism.

Spain Government Goes Full Police State; Enacts Law Forbidding Dissent, ‘Unauthorized’ Photography of Law Enforcement

Well, Spain’s officially a police state now. On July 1st, its much-protested “gag” law went into effect, instantly making criminals of those protesting the new law. Among the many new repressive stipulations is a €30,000-€600,000 fine for “unauthorized protests,” which can be combined for maximum effect with a €600-€300,000 fine for “disrupting public events.”

This horrible set of statutes has arisen from Spain’s position as a flashpoint for anti-austerity protests, the European precursor to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Fines, fines and more fines await anyone who refuses to treat authority with the respect it’s forcibly requiring citizens to show it.

The law also extends its anti-protest punishments to social media, where users can face similar fines for doing nothing more than encouraging or organizing a protest. Failing to present ID when commanded is another fine. And then there’s this:

Showing a “lack of respect” to those in uniform or failing to assist security forces in the prevention of public disturbances could result in an individual fine of between €600 and €30,000. Spain’s legislators thought of everything. To ensure these crackdowns on protests go off with a minimum of public backlash, “respected” police officers are being given a blank check to use as much force as they feel necessary when breaking up “unauthorized protests.” The law doesn’t directly instruct police to behave badly, but it does provide a very helpful increase in opacity

Demand is high in Sweden for a new procedure allowing women who have gone through female circumcision to have their clitorises reconstructed.

The procedure was introduced in Sweden in January. So far, six surgeries have been performed and over 20 women are on a waiting list. One of them is Mariam, who told Radio Sweden: “I want to look like all other women. I want a normal vagina. That’s what I’m after.”

Mariam underwent circumcision twice; first at the age of six and then again when she was 12 — because her mother did not think she had been properly circumcised the first time around.

Mariam has undergone the most extreme form of female genital mutilation “They removed everything,” she says, “the clitoris and labia — and then they sewed me up, leaving only a small hole so I could pee”.

The parents of a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for two weeks are desperate for her to return home.

Police believe Camilia Lupu may have been abducted and taken to Spain after she vanished from her home in Oldham last month.

Camilia, originally from Romania, was last seen at a relative’s home in Plymouth Street, Oldham, on June 26.

Police made a public appeal to try to trace her three days later but she has still not been found.

Detectives believe she has been taken to Spain by a 37-year-old man Alin Coman, also from Romania. He is wanted for alleged child abduction.

Habib Essid said he would telephone David Cameron on Friday to respond to Foreign Office advice that the North African nation was unsafe for holidays.

Tunisia’s ambassador to London has already warned Britain is playing into the hands for terrorists with the new threat warning, which is likley to devastate the Tunisian tourist industry.

Pakistan: The “Crime” of Being Women and Non Muslim

The Christian NGO Centre for legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) organized a meeting over violence against women. More than 900 cases of honor killings, 500 cases of abductions and more than 400 cases of gang rapes were reported in Punjab last year.

Lahore (AsiaNews) — Being women is the “first crime” in our society while being a non Muslim women is a double crime, said Mehboob Khan legal aid advisor of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan HRCP. Centre for legal Aid Assistance and Settlement discussed concerns over sexual and gender based violence in the country during a stakeholder meeting with legal fraternity of Lahore on July 8.

“Women, children and religious minorities are among the most disadvantage groups. Christians especially prefer to remain silent when it comes to speaking about social justice. There are different forms of gender based violence for which society is to be blamed”.

He was addressing more than 35 participants including lawyers and human rights activists. The event also marked launching of Centre for legal Aid Assistance and Settlement CLAAS Annual Report 2014. The Christian NGO noted three Christian females, including an eight year old, raped by Muslims in Punjab province last year. CLAAS pursued all these cases, visited concerned police stations and kept regular contact with families of the victims.

According to latest HRCP annual report, a woman is raped every two hours, and gang raped every eight hours. Less than four percent of Pakistan’s rape cases result in a conviction, it states. More than 3000 women have died in honour killings in Pakistan since 2008.

The panelists in Lahore meeting also noted that more than 900 cases of honor killings, 500 cases of abductions and more than 400 cases of gang rapes were reported in Punjab last year.

Ever since coming to power in 2013, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’led Punjab government has only passed four pro women bills including one on reproductive, maternal, neo-natal and child health authority.

“Our struggles end at the doors of provincial assembly of the Punjab”, Bushra Khaliq, another panelist, told AsiaNews at the sidelines of the event. “A feudal and tribal mindset generally prevails among the lawmakers. Whenever the issue of a pro woman bill is raised, everybody becomes concerned about its misuse. This affects both the policy and psyche that follows”, said Executive Director of Women in Struggle for Empowerment.

Stampede at Charity Handout in Bangladesh Leaves 23 Dead

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — A stampede in central Bangladesh left 22 women and a child dead early Friday when hundreds of people stormed the home of a businessman for a charity handout during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, police said.

Another 30 were injured and rushed to a hospital in Mymensingh, a town 115 kilometers (70 miles) north of the capital, Dhaka, said police officer Kamrul Islam.

The crowd gathered outside the tobacco businessman’s home around 4 a.m. and stormed in when the gates were opened to collect free clothing, Islam said. The dead included 22 women and one child, he said. Survivors said there were about 1,000 people, mostly elderly women, in front of the house.

Ambia Begum, 45, came along with seven female relatives at dawn. One of them died in the stampede.

“Oh Allah, why I came here? Why?” she wailed as the body of her 60-year-old relative was retrieved.

The businessman distributes clothes every year ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the festrival marking the end of Ramadan.

Australia’s Minister for Communications — Malcolm Turnbull — has sought to play down the threat Islamic State poses to world peace and security with these few throwaway unsubstantiated sentences during an address to the Sydney Institute on 7 July:

They predict that before long they will be stabling their horses in the Vatican.

We should be careful not to say or do things which can be seen to add credibility to those delusions.”

Turnbull used the term “Daesh” — instead of Islamic State — on 16 occasions during his address.

Somalia Hotels Attacked by Militants in Mogadishu

At least five people were killed when militants in the Somali capital Mogadishu attacked two hotels.

A security operation has now ended at one of the hotels, near the parliament building.

The BBC’s Moalimu Mohammed, in the city, says the two hotels were busy with people breaking their Ramadan fast when they were attacked at 18:10 local time (15:10 GMT).

The Islamist militant group al-Shabab has said it was behind the attack.

Our reporter says the two hotels — the Wehliya and Siyaad — are among the best known in the city.

The Siyaad is near the presidential palace, while the Wehliya is close to parliament.

“Car bombs rammed into the hotels named Wehliya and Siyaad. Then our fighters stormed in,” an al-Shabab spokesman told Reuters.

Some reports say fighting is ongoing, but Somalia’s National Intelligence & Security Agency tweeted that the attacks had been foiled…

South Africa: Protests Over Illegal Connections

INDEPENDENT MEDIA Residents of Blackburn Village on the N2 northbound near uMhlanga, demanded houses and free electricity. Photo: Sibusiso Ndlovu

Durban — The removal of illegal electricity connections in informal settlements sparked two separate service delivery protests in the north and south of Durban on Wednesday.

Both protests — the first opposite uMhlanga and the other in Lotus Park, Isipingo — were directed at the municipality after they removed the electricity connections. They were also protesting against the lack of houses for those living in informal settlements.

In the first incident on Wednesday morning, almost 100 residents living in Blackburn Village alongside the N2 northbound freeway blocked the two-lane highway, the road to King Shaka International Airport.

Cars veered onto the centre median and some turned back towards uMhlanga.

Protesters brandished sticks and a placard reading — “ Put power now on”.

They had been left without a power supply for three days after the municipal electricity unit removed illegal connections at the informal settlement.

Branch executive member for the ANC in municipal ward 102, Lucky Mziki, said they had handed a memorandum to the municipality demanding that residents living in the informal settlement be given houses, as promised in the elections.

“Two important issues were unemployment and housing. People have been waiting on the housing list, but newcomers are benefiting. None of the residents were given a job at the uMhlanga freeway road construction. We are waiting for feedback from council,” he said.

Other issues were the removal of refuse and the unhealthy living conditions people were living in, he said. And there were children who had serious medical problems, including skin infections.

At about mid-morning, protesters from the Silvergull Drive Informal settlement in Isipingo fought with municipal staff who had also removed electricity wires illegally connected to power boxes.

Jaco Pienaar, ward 90 PR councillor, said a meeting was scheduled for Thursday to solve the problem.

Residents from the informal sector blockaded the street, demanding housing and electricity.

Nearby residents said they were living in fear as the shacks border flats and houses.

“I am totally against the theft of electricity. They are staying there illegally and now they want electricity for free. I have spoken to municipal officials and together we will address them,” Pienaar said…

Donald Trump Hit in the Pocketbook for Daring to Exercise His First Amendment Right

Following remarks about Mexico, economic warfare is being waged against presidential candidate Donald Trump for exercising his freedom of speech and speaking the truth about illegal immigration.

He has lost tens of millions of dollars in response to his politically incorrect yet factually correct comments about illegal immigration.

Trump has been dropped by Macy’s, the Professional Golfers’ Association, NASCAR, and others including PVH Corp., a menswear company responsible for brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Even the Serta mattress company has dumped the outspoken business magnate.

Trump’s Miss Universe pageant has been cut from Univision and NBC and on Wednesday José Andre’s, billed as a D.C.-based super-chef with a national brand, backed out of a deal to open the flagship restaurant in Trump’s planned Washington hotel. Trump’s comments that Mexico is “sending people that have lots of problems,” including criminals, drug dealers and rapists, has resulted in a number of scorching news articles and editorials.

On Wednesday The New York Times characterized Trump as an insane “bully and bigot” and “ineradicable pest.” Frank Bruni wrote that it would be “transformative” if the Republicans dumped Trump from the party.

NBC Nightly News said Trump has thus far done nothing to apologize for telling the truth…

In 2005 Richard D. Lamm, a Democrat who served as governor of Colorado for twelve years, said multiculturalism was designed to destroy America.

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said. “Turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bi-cultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual.”

“Invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture,” he continued. “I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.”

“Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multiculturalism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

EU Ministers at Odds on Relocating 40,000 Migrants

Member states remain at odds on sharing asylum seekers from Italy and Greece, but have agreed to resettle over 20,000 refugees.

The plan, proposed earlier by the European Commission, would see up to 40,000 asylum seekers from Italy and Greece redistributed to other member states over a two-year period. Another 20,000 refugees would also be resettled.

EU interior ministers in Luxembourg on Thursday (9 July) agreed to delay taking a final decision.

“We are not very far from the target, but some countries need time to negotiate, time to adjust, and that’s why today we prefer to defer until the 20 July”, Luxembourg minister Jean Asselborn told reporters.

Relocation refers to migrants arriving in the EU to claim asylum, either by crossing the Mediterranean Sea by boat from Libya or by going to Bulgaria and Greece by foot from Turkey.

For the First Time Since it Was Mexico, California Now Has More Latinos Than Whites

Two weeks ago, we highlighted a statistic that reflects the rapid demographic shift taking place in America. Non-Hispanic whites, Bloomberg reported, citing the Census Bureau, are no longer the majority in Americans under 5 years old.

Why does this matter or, perhaps more to the point, why do we mention it here? Because demographic shifts often have far-reaching consequences for the economy. Here’s what we said last month:

Shifting demographics are affecting everything from the labor market, to homeownership, to race relations in America.

In “The ‘Illegal Immigrant’ Recovery” for instance, we documented the stunning fact that the US has added 2.3 million “foreign-born” workers, offset by just 727K “native-born” since December 2007. Because the “foreign-born” category includes both legal and illegal immigrants, it may well be that the surprise answer why America’s labor productivity has plummeted in recent years and certainly months, and why wage growth has gone precisely nowhere, is because the vast majority of all jobs since December 2007, or 75% to be specific, have gone to foreign-born workers.

As for the housing market, we recently cited data from the Urban Institute which shows that because the vast majority of new households in the next decade will be formed by minorities, and because minority groups tend to have lower homeownership rates, the overall homeownership rate in America — which has already retraced twenty years’ worth of gains — will likely slide further in the coming years.

These are but two examples of how much demographic shifts matter. Against this backdrop we present the following chart and brief commentary from the LA Times with no further comment:

Illegal Alien Advocates: Accessories to an Epidemic of Murder and Child Rape

And should be charged as criminal accomplices and dealt with accordingly. Does that sound outrageous? Sure it does, but withhold judgment until you read this post.

It is absolutely indisputable that San Francisco’ s sanctuary policies contributed to the horrific, senseless, shooting death of 32-year-old Kate Steinle on July 2. Francisco Sanchez, the illegal alien who admitted killing her, has said that it was the city’ s sanctuary policies that attracted him to it. City leaders have Kate’ s blood on their hands. But that blood is a drop in the bucket compared to the outrages regularly being committed by the illegals among us, while politicians of both parties sing their praises.

Donald trump has been roundly criticized by both Democrats and Republicans for saying that 80 percent of women crossing the border are being raped. NBC decided to drop his popular show, The Apprentice, and the Miss Universe pageant he produces. Mexico says it will withdraw its entrant to the pageant based on Trump’ s offensive statements. ESPN, NASCAR and others have piled on. But Trump was just quoting an article from Fusion magazine. The piece, “Is rape the price to pay for migrant women chasing the American Dream?” leads off by saying:

Before they can reach the American Dream, many migrant women have to survive a Mexican nightmare. A staggering 80 percent of Central American girls and women crossing Mexico en route to the United States are raped along the way, according to directors of migrant shelters interviewed by Fusion.

Could it be any clearer than that? Democrats have long since abandoned even a shred of honesty, but are Republicans again rebranding themselves as “The Party of Stupid?” How about “The Party of Insufferably Mindless Idiots? “Is that what they should be called, or maybe just the cowards, frauds and hypocrites they are?

In fact, the problem is infinitely worse than the article reveals. For example, almost half of all federal crimes committed in the United States in fiscal year 2013 were committed in a few districts along the Southwest Border with Mexico. Of 61,529 criminal cases initiated by federal prosecutors, 24,746 — fully 40 percent of the total — originated in five border jurisdictions in Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, Western Texas and Southern Texas. Almost all were committed by illegals.

Democrats Introduce Bill to Ban ‘Husband’ And ‘Wife’ As ‘Anti-Gay’ Words

Fresh off the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, Democrats in California have introduced a bill that would ban the words “husband” and “wife” from being used in federal law because they are “gendered terms” and discriminate against gay people.

The words husband and wife were deleted from California state law last year in order to accommodate same sex marriage.

Under new legislation proposed by over two dozen Democrats, that same rule would be applied federally. The bill, introduced by Rep. Lois Capps, D-Calif, would introduce new “gender-neutral” terms such as “spouse” or “married couple.”

Do We Protect Our Children, Or Sexual Deviates?

Outside of the fact large part of the country’s population believe the president is gay and that he has a man-wife, have you even thought about why the huge push for the GAY issue no matter what form it takes. No I am sure you haven’t because most hetero-sexual individuals unless they themselves are deviates of another sort, don’t publicize what they do in their bedroom and they certainly are not focused on teaching any kind of sex to our young children in school.

So where is this coming from? In Part 6 of this series I presented parts of the 45 Declared Goals of the Communist Manifesto — let me give them to you again:

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

Are you aware as the battle against political correctness and the gay agenda continues, it should be noted that this is a fight that is occurring on a global scale as well. The New American is reporting on a story from Italy where the media has been exposed as forcing journalists to report on the gay lifestyle in a positive light or perhaps face consequences as harsh as jail time. What is most significant about this development is the fact that these mandates are coming from the superior European Union governing structure; they are being forced onto Italy’s government from a U.N. type global governing body.

Gay Rights Group Reports Priest After ‘Flamethrower’ Remark

For incitement to murder

(ANSA) — Oristano, July 10 — A gay rights group in Sardinia reported a parish priest to the police for incitement to murder on Friday after he suggested on Facebook that flamethrowers be used against homosexuals.

Father Silvio Foddis, the parish priest in Arborea, central Sardinia, wrote underneath a photograph of two gay men: “A flamethrower to reignite what is almost extinguished?” The photo appeared on the Facebook page of an Arborea councillor.

When a girl commented his words were perhaps out of place for a priest, Foddis replied “he could go even further…we don’t have to endure all the crap of this world”.

In response, the Sardinian Homosexual Movement (MOS) said “the words were against the law of man and against the law of God”.

“He is not just a simple citizen but a priest who, unfortunately, has an educational role to play in society.” The group said they had reported the priest to police and made a complaint for incitement to murder.

Barbara Tetti, the movement’s president, said the priest’s comments were “a serious act of incitement to hatred and murderous violence”.

In a statement published on the home page of the website of the Diocese, it said that the archbishop had spoken to the pastor and “is satisfied” that his “was a knee-jerk reaction to a hig-impact picture that was in fact in support of nudism.” It said the archbishop “wanted to take this opportunity to urge priests and the faithful to have the greatest respect for everyone and, at the same time, pay attention to what is said and\or written on social media to avoid hurting feelings or damaging people’s dignity.”

Many states had passed successful referendums to stop same-sex marriage only to learn some judge has intervened and overturned the vote of the people.

Keen on Wedding Invites; The EU Can Do More for LGBTI Equality

The EU has the power to ensure that LGBTI people are protected against physical or verbal abuse when they walk down the street. This fear is not hypothetical; 34% of the trans people in the FRA’s ‘Being Trans in the EU’ report said they had experienced threats or physical violence in the five years preceding the survey.

The EU should address the gaps in its legislative framework when it comes to homophobic and transphobic hate crime.

We know this will not happen overnight, so in the meantime, the European Commission can make sure that every country gives effect to existing legislation on the protection of victims. It can develop a police training curriculum to be used across the EU and it can support effective reporting of violence.

Rihanna’s “Better Have My Money” Promotes the Elite’s Obsession With Torture

Rihanna’s “Better Have My Money” purposely pushes limits and purposely pushes them in a specific direction. The video is a continuation of mass media’ s agenda of glorifying death, torture and dehumanization. We’ll look at the twisted messages behind “Better Have My Money” .

More than 7 years later, Rihanna is still being used to push the occult elite’s agenda … because that’s what industry pawns do. With Better Have my Money, Rihanna truly confirms that popular culture has turned into a depraved, toxic wasteland that purposely exposes young minds to death, murder, and torture. Sweden Offering LGBTQ-Certified Asylum Housing

Westsura housing for asylum seekers has been LGBTQ certified in order to create a place to live where everyone feels included and welcomed.

It is becoming more and more common to find LGBTQ-certified places in Sweden. Among them are four asylum housing buildings. The idea is to create an environment where everyone feels included and welcome, especially those who are seeking asylum on grounds of their gender identity or sexual orientation.

Recently, the private company Attendo-run Westsura asylum housing building outside Västerås raised a rainbow flag and celebrated becoming LGBTQ certified. Jeanette Peretic, Westura’s director, told Radio Sweden that they saw a need for staff to develop special competence to deal with LGBTQ issues among those living in asylum housing.

So, they enrolled in an eight month course given by RFSL, The Swedish Federation for LGBT Rights, along with three people who live in asylum housing in southern Sweden. And at the end of May they were ready to raise the rainbow flag.

Venice Mayor Bans Books on Homosexuality as Europe’s Gay Marriage Divide Lingers

The new mayor of Venice has officially banned books on the subjects of homosexuality and disability from the city’s schools, prompting a wave of criticism. The city official made the blacklist promise during his mayoral campaign.

Mayor Luigi Brugnaro has banned a total of 49 books, including the French title “Jean Has Two Moms,” which centers around a wolf family with two mothers, a statement published Wednesday on the mayor’s website says.

The blacklist unleashed a wave of criticism, with some organizations launching public readings of the banned books.

Several libraries are also encouraging people to read the banned titles, posting signs such as “blacklisted books, be a rebel, read them,” AFP reported.

Defending his move amid the flurry of criticism, Brugnaro said he will “not be intimidated,” adding that “parents need to educate their children on these things, and not schools.”

Brugnaro promised to ban the titles during his campaign leading up to the June elections.

Western Doctors Now Euthanize Patients as a ‘Treatment’ For Depression and Psychiatric Conditions

(NaturalNews) Claiming that she has wanted to die ever since childhood, a 24-year-old Belgian woman thinks that suicide is the only answer. This summer, she is getting help from her psychiatrist. The suicidal Belgian woman is about to receive, in her mind, the ultimate treatment for her psychological condition.

No, the psychiatrist isn’t going to help the woman cope with the voices in her head and the traumatic experiences she may be dealing with.

No, the psychiatrist isn’t going to help the woman conquer the conflict in her head to help her live a life of purpose.

Instead, the psychiatrist is encouraging Laura to end it all. The psychiatrist is giving Laura the option to end her life by euthanasia. This is how insane Western medicine and psychiatry has become. Doctors are now dishonorably viewing euthanasia as a “treatment” for depression and psychiatric conditions. People who feel they were born to take their own life are being accepted for who they are and allowed to commit suicide in a hospital setting.

Doctors now assisting suicidal patients to kill themselves The assisted suicide case of the healthy 24-year-old Belgium woman is told in a book Libera Me by Lieve Thienpont. Thienpont is the psychiatrist who is making a way for the healthy 24-year-old Laura to end her life through euthanasia. Laura, who appears normal, who enjoys theater, coffee and the company of good friends, says she has wanted to die since childhood. “Life, that’s not for me,” she says. Thienpont accepts the woman’s plea to die and is making a way for her to end her precious life this summer.

All treatment and care are being thrown away. All hope is lost. Laura’s life will not be preserved. Psychiatrists are agreeing that it is too late, that it’s time to let this woman decide to die. Laura will join a new wave of psychiatric patients who are legally being assisted to kill themselves. She will be given the “treatment” of euthanasia as psychiatrists accept her for who she was born to be.

Of course, this is not who Laura was born to be, even though she claims she has wanted to die since childhood. As doctors validate her reasons to die and go along with the voices in her head, they have become the monsters telling her that it’s okay to pull the trigger on life.

There are now 50 to 60 cases of euthanasia for psychiatric patients in Belgium each year.
