  1. As former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov once said in his talk in the 1980s about subversion – once the Revolution has taken place, Revolutionaries are not needed, and can be disposed of In one way or another.

Laws such as the First Amendment, and the general principle of free speech, have been used first to challenge existing dogma, and to enact “progress”. We’ve seen this historically, in the case of combating racism, giving women the vote, and combating the influence of the Church. Where would anti-racist protests, feminism, or secularism (let alone anti-Christian “artworks”) have got, without the principle of free speech? What would have stood in the way of such movements being halted by the prevailing majority of the time, who would’ve branded them “unpatriotic”, “offensive” or whatever else?

Yet now, the “revolution” has happened, the “reactionaries” and “bigots” are on the back foot, and suddenly free speech has stopped being so trendy…

But are the “progressives” intent on merely criminalising a lone nutter shouting crazy stuff to passengers on a train? Or could their new appetite for “rule of law” be only increased by such small victories? Could the rising moods against free speech in fact be merely a small foretaste of what’s to come?

    • It’s hilarious to watch old episodes of “Adam-12” and “Dragnet” (both brilliant shows!) and see hippies get arrested. They call the police “establishment pigs” and “conformists!”

Now that the hippies are in charge, suddenly they’ve stopped using those insults. Conformity is demanded!

  2. “God Bless America” ? What an irony !
God Bless America, a beautiful song , was written by a Jew, Irving Berlin.
If he were alive today he would have composed ” Allah Bless America” in order to be politically correct.
