Update on the Ottawa Explosion

As reported here a couple of days ago, a building in downtown Ottawa blew up late last Thursday night. Over the weekend the Ottawa police determined that the blast and fire were the result of arson.

At this point there’s still no definitive evidence that cultural enrichment played a role in the fiery incident, although one of the destroyed stores in the block was a Muslim-run business.

Our Ottawa correspondent Victor Laszlo took some close-up footage today at the scene of the explosion on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Bank Street. The area has been properly cordoned off and the site preserved so that the arson team may investigate it properly.
