Four weeks ago today Michael Zehaf-Bibeau went on a shooting spree on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, killing Corporal Nathan Cirillo at the Cenotaph before being shot to death himself inside the parliament building.
Mr. Zehaf-Bibeau, who called himself Joseph Paul Michael Abdallah Bulgasem Zehaf-Bibeau after he returned to his father’s religion, was more than a psychotic homeless crackhead. In his lunacy he had found a spiritual home, and his murderous actions were motivated by religion — specifically the Islamic religion.

Before he was addicted to crack and sleeping in shelters on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, the Parliament Hill shooter was known as a “confrontational” member of a construction crew making good money on a seven-kilometre tunnelling job in North Vancouver.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau had two stints working as a skilled labourer helping build a tunnel for the region’s water system, according to former co-worker Kevin Banek.Banek, a civil engineer, doesn’t remember exactly when “Zehaf” — as he was known on-site — started working on the project, but said his last stint began in May 2011. The project began in 2009 and all employees had to pass drug tests to get hired, he added.
Zehaf-Bibeau was known for “getting into it with people for various things” and would “go off” on the women of the job site, Banek said.
Site safety rules dictated that Banek be accompanied by another worker when inspecting portions of the tunnel that could be an hour’s walk away. A handful of times, Zehaf-Bibeau accompanied Banek on these walks.
Banek remembers the two having many theological conversations and Zehaf-Bibeau’s constant refrain that converting to Islam had changed his life.
“He was always trying to convert me, (saying) ‘You should read the Qur’an, bro,’ “ Banek said.
When asked if he would be happy with world peace but no religion, Zehaf-Bibeau told Banek, “No, there can’t be world peace until there’s only Muslims.”
A co-worker from a 2007 job in Squamish reportedly told the CBC that he would sometimes show YouTube videos of Taliban attacks, but Banek “didn’t get the inkling” that Zehaf-Bibeau was a religious extremist, because he “implied that it (Islam) was influencing his life in a good way.”
He was, however, very open about his belief in a global “Jewish conspiracy,” Banek said. “He believed that there is this conspiracy that Jewish people were trying to suppress Muslim culture and they’re trying to take over the world.
“He believed that he had a strong moral compass.”
Saying there can’t be peace until everyone is a Muslim is like saying there can’t be good health until everyone is terminally ill.
That’s about as succinct a summary of Islamic doctrine as I’ve ever seen.

A good insight into what Islam is really after! But not in my neighbourhood! We have many up here -where I live, and who have no intention of having an Islamic tongue down our throats and are quite prepared to enforce that right regardless of whatever current government state or federal, tells us to accept.
I think you are right about China: it will sit back and watch with wry amusement as the West progressively – no pun intended – self-destructs. The new President with, significantly, his very formidable wife, will steer China into further burgeoning prosperity that Deng Xiaoping laid the groundwork for a couple of decades ago. Then emerge after 2050 or thereabouts triumphant. The Japanese would do well to commence apologizing now for the atrocities of the 1930’s and 1940’s and also get their history books in order.
When one examines the ridiculous PC/MC policies and values that are corroding the West, it is a refreshing exercise to try to see it from China’s point of view. The Chinese – with their robust Sinocentric world view and modus operandi of only doing that which advances the interests of the Chinese – must think that something has been put in our drinking water.

Michael Stürzenberger of Die Freiheit in Munich, Bayern said in the interview (posted yesterday–see below) something to the effect that Islam is the most despicable, most dangerous ideology ever devised and propagated by mankind. He’s right! We must be forthright in speaking about it as such.
The only solution to the Muslim problem open to “The West” is to vote out the politicians who have sold us out.
I once had a preacher say the difference between Christianity and Darwin was this: Christianity preaches that man was created perfect and has been slowly going down the toilet, so to speak. Darwin, or evolution if you prefer, said that man crawled out of the slime and has been getting more civilized.
To me, Islam allows man to fulfill his darkest desires, all in the name of Allah. Is there any crime vile enough that a Muslim can commit against an “infidel” that is criminalized under Sharia? And how is it that the Koran can turn what appears to be a sane person into a sociopath? What is in that book? The fact that after hundreds of years this is even being discussed or argued is a kind of insanity. The Spanish answered these questions and kicked them out. It beggars belief that Spain joined the euro disaster and is letting them back in again. That’s progress?
A lot of Westerners are deluding themselves with the mantra “Christianity reformed so Islam will too.” They imagine that Islam is several centuries behind — back where Christianity allegedly was in the time of the Crusades and the Inquisition — because it got a later start, so what can you expect, really?
It’s an idiotic argument in part because it’s based on ignorance (willful of otherwise) of how very different the foundations of the creeds are and how different their early histories.
I think the answer to your question lies in the personality of Mohammed and the centrality of him to Islam. It is pretty clear that Mohammed was a seriously mentally ill person. He believed himself to be so for a while, but one of his wives talked him out of it and persuaded him instead that he was quasi-divine. A German scholar with a medical background has written a serious piece which contends that Mohammed was, clinically speaking, a nut case and why he was.
Muslim thinking is the stuff of pure darkness and cannot be brought to the Light. It can only stop when the insatiable Muslim has canibalised the last of its own and that last Godless ego then eats itself. The free world buys time at a huge cost. So far there is very little of integrity we have not betrayed to appease the Beast.
Well, forgive me for being blunt.
I would say there can be no world peace until there are no Muslims. Formerly Christian Europe and Spain (yes, apparently China, too) all knew this and did not give up until they (Muslims) had been driven back to their desert origins.
Our challenge is to find a way to keep them there, without modern weapons, until they return to the 6th or 7th century and just stay there, in their own cesspool. I don’t care what they do to each other — I just want them incarcerated in their own little desert and leave the rest of the world alone already.
I would suggest stop letting them into western countries and start sending them back as soon as they come to attention of law enforcement. You can’t change them, but you can return them to their own cesspool.
And yes, I know there are “peaceful” Muslims, but I don’t think very many.
Who was it that started the big Mislim lie? And almost all the world’s opinion makers went along with it? Karen Armstrong? John Esposito? Bernard Lewis? It was sometime shortly after 9/11. Bush followed this advice, then Blair et al.
It’s the lie of the millenium. I hope it doesn’t bring us all down. It needs a monument about a half mile high, depicting this person, inscribed at its base with the word “Dumb” about as high as a football field.
Islam was being sugarcoated on university campuses long before 9/11. Back then it might have seemed that we could safely ignore or play down the violent history and focus on the Five Pillars (which a sanitized version of jihad) and the pretty mosques. What is truly appalling is that the effort to defend Islam from the hideous reputation it has created for itself intensified after 9/11, 7/7, underwear bomber, Fort Hood jihad, etc.
