Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka-Dot Minority

Gates of Vienna readers are familiar with the Baron’s ‘enjoyment’ of the myths that will not die and refuse to shut up despite the large body of evidence to their contrary.

We all know them by heart now -i.e., “Islam is a religion of peace” [actually, Islam is a religion of peace and quiet once they have killed off dissent, starting within Islam itself]. This was a particular favorite of George Bush once he got his mind right and stopped talking about “mounting a crusade against ‘evil'”. Poor George.

There are others which I’m sure our readers can quite readily count off on their fingers. However, the Baron’s favorites are THNTDWI, This Has Nothing To Do With Islam and that other fave – any violence in Islam is carried out by a Tiny Minority. Usually the I-word isn’t mentioned, but there seems to be an uptick in the T-word as increasing numbers of jornolists are forced to resort to employing the word “Terrorism” if they want to maintain credibility.

This brief compelling video by Ben Shapiro nicely shreds that bloated Big Fat Tiny Minority Lie ™. He calls it The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority, which has a certain cadence, no? I see “Tiny Radical Muslim” and it makes me think they’ve brainwashed a group of pygmies. Hey, they could have…

Another thing: the style with which Mr. Shapiro marches out these demographics is quite lively. I would’ve have to practice for weeks to get them down that well.

  1. I think it is important we start to popularise NTDWI. Make it clear what sick joke is being perpetrated on the innocent masses in the west.

It should be a hashtag on twitter, keep the mockery going.

  2. Yes, it’s easy to refute the “tiny minority of extremists” lie by quoting the relevant statistics ( the Pew surveys are very informative, and alarming) however the problem is getting through the multi-culti smokescreen and the wishful thinking of the West’s useful idiots.

I’m tired of being informed by some patronising Islamic apologist that I don’t know anything about the ‘religion’.

  3. If anything Mr Shapiro’s estimates of the proportion of radicals are on the low side, his 16% figure for France ( or is my memory failing) seems way too conservative. More importantly as he acknowledges he doesn’t include in his survey: Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Yemen or Algeria just to name some of the more populous omissions.

As an aside I had always figured Yemen’s population to be something in the order of Lebanon’s, but I was basing it on my 1970’s recollection of one of the two Yemens now combined: it is over 24 million.

Nonetheless I am grateful for his pithy exposition of the frightening facts.

  4. The New York Jihad Axeman THNTDWI favourite arrangements.

    “hyper-racial focus”
    “religious and historical contexts”
    “extremist leanings”

The SITE monitoring group said he had posted statements on YouTube and Facebook that “display a hyper-racial focus in both religious and historical contexts, and ultimately hint at his extremist leanings”.

A man reported to have Islamic “extremist leanings” attacked police officers in New York City with a hatchet on Thursday, injuring two before being shot dead, police and a monitoring group said.

The man, identified in the US media as Zale Thompson, had posted an array of statements on YouTube and Facebook that “display a hyper-racial focus in both religious and historical contexts, and ultimately hint at his extremist leanings,” the SITE monitoring group said.
