Abducted Israeli Teens Found Dead

Update 2: Israeli jets strike 34 targets in Gaza (Hat tip: Steen).

Update: “We will destroy Hamas”:

Breaking news: The three Israeli teenagers kidnapped several weeks ago by Hamas have been found dead. They were apparently killed shortly after their capture.

The report from Israel National News:

Israel Mourns: Bodies of Kidnapped Teens Found Near Hevron

Intensive 18-day search ends in tragedy as IDF confirms the three kidnapped teens were murdered.

In a tragic end to an intensive search by the IDF, intelligence services and police, it has been released for publication this evening (Monday) that IDF forces have discovered the bodies of the three teenagers abducted 18 days ago as they hitchhiked home near the town of Alon Shvut in the Gush Etzion region.

Eyal Yifrah 19, from Elad; Gilad Sha’ar, 16, from Talmon; and Naftali Frenkel, also 16, from Nof Ayalon, went missing on June 12th, and officials soon identified Hamas as the culprits. Their bodies were found near Hevron, where the search operation for them — dubbed Operation Brother’s Keeper — had been focused.

Last week the IDF authorized for publication the identities of two Hamas terrorists being hunted for being “deeply involved” in the kidnappings of the boys. The two, Marwan Kawasmeh and Amar Abu-Eisha, are well-known Hamas terrorists operating in the Hevron area.

Kawasmeh, 29, was first arrested in 2004 for security violations, and since then has been arrested at least four more times. In an interrogation in 2010, he admitted working on behalf of Hamas in the Hevron area. He has participated in Hamas training camps and has helped the terror group to recruit new members.

Abu-Eisha, 33, was first arrested in 2005, and remained imprisoned until 2006. He was released, only to be arrested again in 2007. His brother was killed while conducting a terror attack in 2005 against an IDF patrol. His father has also been arrested numerous times for security offenses.

A total of 413 terror suspects, mostly Hamas members, have been arrested during IDF operation; Kawasmeh and Abu-Eisha, however, have not yet been found, but are now presumably being hunted on suspicion of murder.

During the past 18 days Israelis and Jews throughout the world had mobilized, holding prayer rallies, social media campaigns and solidarity marches calling for the return of the boys. As recently as yesterday officials were still saying they working working under the assumption that the boys were still alive, as no information had been received to the contrary.

News of their murder will leave Israel, and the Jewish people, in a state of mourning.

The news comes on the same day as an inquiry into the handling of the police investigation into the kidnappings found five senior police officials guilty of mishandling the investigation. The officials were dismissed from their post for mistakenly classifying a call by one of the teenagers — who said he was being kidnapped — as a prank.

  1. Sderot is quiet, we dread the possible outcome of the Cabinet meeting, and we expect a violent reaction from the religion of ‘peace’. There are no teens in the park behind our house tonight, and that is very telling.

Whatever the response people are going to die, probably the young men of the IDF amongst them, these 18,19,20 & 21 year old conscripts will bear the brunt of any conflict.

The timing of this could not be worse, the declaration of the IS Caliphate and the occupation of the Golan, and the situation in Jordan is deteriorating…..

  2. The west, media and governments, cowards and zombies, try to find an excuse for the murderers for this terrible tragedy as usual: don’t dare blame the murderers. Blame thwe victims. It’s easier and no consequences. And no cost.

  3. Where Islam is or has been there is discord, violence, bloodshed and atrocity; it has ever been thus and always will be. The ‘Demented Slaves of Allah’ understand nor respond to anything else other than reciprocal ruthlessness, so:

    Bring in the armoured bulldozers.
    [intemperate recommendations redacted]
    That is all.
    Seneca III

    • One problem is the unholy alliance between the political elites and the Demented. If Islam didn’t exist, the welfare state would be the new Ba’al – the cure for all evils. And those on the top would continue to use those on the bottom to keep those in the middle in line. We see it here with the increase in random, unprovoked attacks of perceived “middle people”. It doesn’t need guns, just enough blows to the head.

Again, I would recommend studying this to understand the US/EU nightmares:

The Revolt Against the Masses: How Liberalism Has Undermined the Middle Class

Siegel shows the US, even prior to WWI, beginning to ape her betters over in Europe, and destroying our own culture. America and Europe are on different tracks to the same unholy gates of hell. We’re vying to see who can get there first.

  4. My condolences to the families of these murdered teens.

But since MC mentions the IS Caliphate, I’m guessing that the new Khalifa will probably not last very long. After all, the original Caliphate’s incumbents tended to die unnaturally. Further, any revolutionary situation is inherently unstable.

  5. Dare any western official say anything, or thrust any blame on Hamas or Abbas, the beloved, parasite, eternal beneficiary inheritor of western dollars and Euroes? I think Hussein and Cameron will say something “in no uncertain terms” about this crime. Kerry: go and force Israel to make all concessions. Tell Israel:

if you make all concessions you will have peace. AS the peace that we have in American and British universities: They are run by muslims. Whatever they say goes. So there is no problem. Plus prince Talal and Malal and shallal give us so many millions of dollars. They only want for that promoting Islam. We need money. They spread islam. Win win situations. Why does it bother some people. And we have the most modern religion. It is fashionable to become muslim and it is fun. Just see the white British and Danish women and girls: “mommy I am a muslim. That’s fine my girl this is a free country. Follow your conscience. My conscience mommy: What is it? Where can I find it. It is like virginity? Muslims always ask me: are you a virgin? I am surprised. What ‘s that I say. Is it the name of a land somewhere? After becoming a muslim I don’t drink. I fast for muhammad my idol. I don’t use drugs. And I only eat halal wieners mom. Special from Imam.

Wonderful democracy at work. Communism was bad. Our system, which is run by muslims, our curricula are dictated by muslims, is the best in the world. We won’t exchange it for anything until we lose our countries.

  6. We can be sure of one thing – those teenagers suffered their deaths at the hands of their captors.

For there is no mercy for the non-Muslim in Islam.

I second Seneca’s suggestion – send in the bulldozers!

  7. We ought not be upset with those who express their indignation or sorrow over these murders. We ought to notice who here in the United States say nothing.

Starting with Obama, or Kerry or Hillary, or the press secretary, or John McCain.

And why not the usual suspets?

On one level these three deaths are the most common place events that always happen there. God knows that the Israeli’s have paid in blood for every one else – the asurety of their deaths covers the errors of our ways.

So now that they are dead, we ought to create a ratio – an equation – maybe 3 to one, or ten to one, or one thousand to one, abd we ought to [redacted].

And why should you support it? They can for them and I said nothing. And when I came for me, no one was left to say anything ang, again, I said nothing.

We understand you hate Jews. So think of protecting yourself and your loved ones.

  8. My English isn’t too good and my spelling doesn’t help.

Please do not pretend that anyone or you cares about the dead boys. You do not have to.

I do understand that no one cares and you look upon these deaths as a calamity because the reporting of their deaths has you running out of patience.

So try to understand that their deaths do not matter. Keep believing they were a pain or thorn in your side when they were captured and now.

So try to understand that the terrorists will come after you next.

  9. Murad: I think, after this heinous crime of murdering three innocent Jews, America’s and Europe’s conscience will bite them and will decide to cut all dollars and Euros to the criminals.
Keen Observer: Murad … you are dreaming. If anything they will increase the jizya. allah carved in the western brows : “you will voluntarily be servile to Islam and muslims and kiss their feet no matter what they treat you. You will become blind to your tyrants”.
    Murad: So it seems.

  10. Israel is at a crucial junction. Round up the leaders of Hamas and [recommendation redacted]. If Israel does some asymmetrical response that is weak that will be Netanyahu’s undoing.

  11. All these comments make me so sad..and so angry. What I contually fail to understand is why we in the West, who have a vastly superior culture, oh, yes we do, no matter how t he multicultaral relativists try to make us believe we don’t. What my brain asks me in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep is this: Am I the only one who can’t sleep knowing the atrocities committed by Muslims against Christians and not one politician anywhere in any of our countries calls them on it, not even the Pope or the Archbishop of Canterbury calls them on their disgusting savage behaviour. Murders by Muslims against Christians all over the planet, as if beheading wasn’t bad enough, now in Syria, it seems they like crucifying, even a different sect. Sunni vs shia, what in the hell should anyone think about this. TELL YOUR GOVERNMENTS NOT TO LET ONE IN, until this is sorted. the only ones I want in my beloved Canada is a Christian running away from this 7th century barbarism.

    • justice, I embrace your sentiments, but like you, I am just another voice blowing in the wind when it comes to our political elite who would rather sweep our concerns under the rug than have to deal with the reality of what we are concerned about.

  12. These boys did not have to die. That being said, it is quite fair to speculate as to how many additional lives have been saved by their deaths.

    1) The reports indicated that they were lured into helping a kidnapper push his car. Others in the future may not be suckered into helping a young Arab male, thus saving lives.

    2) The tunnels under Hebron were unknown to the IDF, or at least their extent. Every exit from the tunnels yielded a Hamas operative or sympathizer. Uncovering unknown operatives may have saved many lives.

    3) Bomb and “chemical” factors were uncovered. What are “chemical” factories? Biologic or chemical weapons, or merely explosives?

    4) Israel will not fail to retaliate. Of those killed, some or most will have been potential killers of Israelis that will now have been saved.

    5) If Israel is able to take out the leaders, political and military, of Hamas, things will be quiet or at least quieter for a while, thus saving more lives.

    6) The heinous act of slaughtering children may permanently change some minds about the nature of Hamas and how much support it is due. If any of these people who change their minds about Hamas are opinion leaders, Hamas may be further distanced from contact with civilization, again restricting its effects.

    7) Should Hamas “open the gates of hell” upon Israel when Israel retaliates, it may yet be that Israel destroys the organization and the infrastructure that supports it.

None of these potential scenarios are worth the whole worlds that were lost when these boys died, but perhaps they will have added to the ultimate triumph of Israel over these monsters in yet unknown ways.

    • Apropos your point 6), regrettably no amount of barbarity carried out by so-called Palestinian “resistance movements” will ever “change the minds” of people who are presently inclined to give Hamas the benefit of the doubt. The evidence of the nature (and modus operandi) of the organisation, it’s adherents and supporters has been there for all to see since the 1980’s and it’s progenitor, the Muslim Brotherhood, for decades before that.

The ugly reality is that Western apologists for Hamas divide into two blurred groups or more accurately poles on a spectrum: those who simply don’t care about Israelis or Jews; and those who do care in that they would be very happy to see the Jewish state destroyed. It’s not that the former group/pole have blinkers on: they wilfully choose to disregard Hamas’ horrific acts and repugnant charter in pursuit of their cherished ideologically-driven dreams for a Palestinian state.

Anybody who is intellectually and morally capable of detesting Hamas already does so.

Just follow how Catherine Ashton, unelected EU Foreign Policy head, has historically dealt with the Arab-Israeli conflict and it becomes crystal clear she is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. As is the BBC and Guardian.

Worse still or further along the spectrum is the Norwegian political and media establishment and academy: they (it – as these three groups are functionally seamless) positively reward Hamas with funds, public legitimacy and diplomatic support.

Apropos your point 7) Hamas routinely threatens to “open the gates of hell” on Israel. As does Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. It’s all Arab-Muslim bluster because if they could have they would have a long time ago. The concern in this regard is the importation of more serious armaments into the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon. And Israel does a pretty good job in interdiction.

  13. There is every reason for Israel to push the Palestinians out of the West Bank and recapture Judea and Samaria. Aside from the fact that the Jewish claim on those two ancient Jewish provinces is strong, an Israel extending from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River would finally give Israel defensible borders. One operation: the elimination of Hamas and the reconquest of the West Bank. Then let the International Jew Hating Community wail its collective head off. Possession is 9/10ths of the law.

  14. It’s time for the Israeli gov’t to close the gates, throw out all muslims and cease any and all aid to the palestinian [redacted].

  15. 4 more missiles this morning at school time, looks like they really want to kill and maim our children…..

So exactly who is doing the de-stabilization?

(was it ever stable? dream on Mr POTUS)

  16. The murderers of these 3 teenagers are animals and I hope they get exactly whats coming for them. The murderers and child torturers in the Israeli Shin Beth are also animals and I hope that they get whats coming for them too. Opposing Islamic atrocities is no excuse for approving Israeli ones. bring it on, may God give justice to all who have been wronged whether Palestinians or Israelis.

    • Do you have hard evidence for this accusation? or are you quoting PA propaganda? If you have hard evidence then you need to send it to the police here in Israel and they WILL prosecute no matter who were the perps. We still have rule of law here and even prime ministers have been tried and convicted.

So put up or shut up!

      • Spot on, MC! It would appear that Mr. kris dee is probably not as well informed as he presumes, and I would suspect that he is either the willing recipient of the never ending drivel emanating from the Leftard-Islamofascist Disinformation Service or perhaps even something more sinister…who knows?

Do keep pushing him for ‘hard information’ although I wouldn’t put money on your chances of actually receiving any 🙂

        Rgds, S III.

  17. Curious: in all the reports, I have not seen any specific description of the condition of the bodies of the three murder victims. It seems highly unlikely that Muslims would simply murder three young Jews and not also mutilate and mangle the bodies (sexually and otherwise), if not actually decapitate them. Also, in addition to mutilation, they likely had dozens (or hundreds) of stab wounds, another detail all too typical of Muslim murders.
