1. A Muslim who quits Islam has to worry about being killed by another Muslim.

This is the first rule of Islam. This is why so few Muslims quit the faith. This simple fact — alone — makes Islam a cult. It is hard to understate the significance of this cold hard fact about Islam.

This practice is widely followed today throughout the Islamic world. The most frequently quoted Islamic theological source is Sahih Al-Bukhari Number 6922:

Allah’s apostle said, “if anyone changes his (Islamic) religion, then kill him.”

WikiIslam.net says the following: “the rejection of faith, is a serious offense in Islam. The punishment for apostasy as prescribed by Prophet Muhammad is death”.

Don’t let any Muslim try to deny this fact by quoting the Islamic phrase “there is no compulsion in religion”. All Muslims know the Islamic doctrine of “abrogation” negates this phrase. And Muslims only use this phrase when they are trying to deceive non-Muslims

In Afghanistan, NATO had to use a promise of asylum in Europe to get Said Musa out of prison for the crime of converting to Christianity.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI.org), in clip #3926, translated a broadcast from Al-Arabiya TV on June 14, 2013, which quotes Egyptian Islamist Abu Al-’Ela Abd Rabbo, one of the assassins of secularist Farag Foda in 1992:

Interviewer: What was the religious justification for the assassination of Farag Foda?

Abu Al-’Ela Abd Rabbo: The punishment for an apostate is death, even if he repents.

2. Muslims are encouraged to commit violence in the name of Islam.

Muslim theological documents — the Koran, Hadith, and Sunna — are filled with statements which encourage devout Muslims to commit violence in the name of Islam.

Here are just a few:

  • Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them(2:191)
  • Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood (9:123)
  • When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them (9:5)
  • Kill the Jews and the Christians if they do not convert to Islam or refuse to pay Jizya tax (9:29)
  • Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable (3:85)
  • The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them (9:30)
  • Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam (5:33)
  • The infidels are unclean; do not let them into a mosque (9:28)
  • Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies (22:19)
  • Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them (47:4)
  • The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them (8:65)
  • Muslims must not take the infidels as friends (3:28)
  • Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an (8:12)
  • Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels

In addition to the Muslim theological documents mentioned above, Islamic social norms encourage violence. It is widely noted that Friday is the most likely day when jihad attacks will occur within Muslim society. This is because the mullahs use their Friday pulpits to encourage their flock to commit violence in the name of Islam.

In Muslim societies, even the media become involved in the incitement to violence. MEMRI.org has translated thousands of articles from print and electronic media. These translated articles are filled with direct incitement to commit violence in the name of Islam.

Remarkably, some of the most glaring examples of incitement to violence come from new “converts” to Islam. Why would a new convert to Islam commit violence? The obvious answer is the “theological” incitement from their new religion — Islam’s core texts.

There is an unfortunate PC effort to deny, ignore and whitewash this Islam inspired violence. The amount of violence committed worldwide since 9/11 is simply too high to overlook.

The web site The Religion of Peace has been collecting, counting, and publishing a list of deadly Islamic terror attacks worldwide since 9/11/2001. As of January 1, 2014 the number was 22,178. Don’t let the PC crowd tell you it is just the same as the Christians, Buddhists, Hindus or the Jews — make them prove it. Only an intellectual buffoon would try to deny the relationship between Islam and violence.

3. Islam does not allow criticism or change.

Islam considers anyone who criticizes or tries to change Islam guilty of blasphemy. And blasphemy is an capital crime under Sharia law. As a result any Muslim who even critiques or attempts to change Islam has to worry about being murdered by some devout Muslim.

In Denmark in late 2013, an 18-year-old Muslim named Yahya Hassan received numerous death threats after reading one of his Islam-critical poems on TV.

It is bad enough that Muslims can’t criticize Islam, but this rule even applies to non-Muslims in non-Muslim societies. Just look at what happened to Theo Van Gogh in Amsterdam. He made a short movie about women in Islam. As Van Gogh walked to work one morning, he was murdered by a devout Muslim named Mohammed Bouyeri. At his trial the murderer told the court Van Gogh had insulted Islam. “What moved me to do what I did was purely my faith,” Bouyeri went on. “I was motivated by the law that commands me to cut off the head of anyone who insults Allah and his prophet.”

The Comedy Central series “South Park” parodied Islam in a couple of 2010 episodes. What happened? According to the New York Times:

Mat Stone and Trey Parker the creators of South Park were threatened by the Islamic web site RevolutionMuslim.com. It warned Mat and Trey “what they are doing is stupid, and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

In Seattle, the cartoonist Molly Norris thought she could counter Islamic reality. She declared May 20, 2010 “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day”. She published a cartoon with a number of household items (a spool of thread, a cup and saucer, a domino…) all claiming to be Mohammed. Within a week Norris had received numerous death threats. Eventually the Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki put a fatwa on Norris’ head. After talks with the FBI she ultimately had to implement her own “cartoonist protection program”. She has reportedly changed her name, left Seattle, and gone underground.

To make matters worse, Islam encourages devout believers to be “self-initiating” in the enforcement of Sharia law. This means any devout Muslim believer anywhere might commit violence in the blink of an eye, if he finds you doing something he considers offensive to Islam.

4. Muslim theology teaches hatred of non-Muslims.

This practice is widespread within Islamic society. It has been documented by numerous authors literally thousands of time. (See a long list of articles below.)

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI.org) has recorded and translated hundreds of television broadcasts in which Muslim religious leaders encourage hatred and violence against non-Muslims, and especially the Jews.

To make matters worse, this Islamic hate-theology is being taught right here in Western society right under the noses of politically correct governments.

In the United States, the Freedom House Center for Religious Freedom published in 2005 an investigative report titled “Saudi Publications on Hate Ideology Invade American Mosques”. This extensive analysis states: “The Saudi Arabian publications in this study, which espouse an ideology of hate and purport to be the authoritative interpretation of Islam, continue to be in plentiful supply at some of our nation’s main mosques and continue to be used as a principal educational resource on Islam for Muslims in America”. (Is there any wonder how the Boston Marathon bombers got their ideas?)

In the UK a Dispatches Magazine Channel 4 news undercover reporter joined mosque “worshippers to find a message of religious bigotry and extremism being preached. He captures chilling sermons in which Saudi-trained preachers proclaim the supremacy of Islam, preach hatred for non-Muslims.”

After this Dispatches report aired, there was a public outcry. Muslim spokespersons said this was an aberration and that the problem had been cured. Months later Dispatches returned, and found a continuation of hate teaching in the mosques.

5. Islam matches the “Characteristics Associated with Cultic Groups” according to the International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA).

Here are some of these characteristics, according to the ICSA:

  • The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.
  • Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
  • Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).
  • The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marry — or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).
  • The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar — or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).
  • The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
  • The leader is not accountable to any authorities.
  • The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members’ participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).
  • The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt in order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.
  • Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.
  • The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
  • Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.
  • Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.
  • The most loyal members (the “true believers”) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

I know it is hard to imagine — 20% of humanity is tied up in a deceptive murderous cult — but that’s exactly what the situation is. Islam is a contagious cult that incites its followers to commit violence. Either the non-Muslim world unites and deals with this intellectual Islamic scourge, or Islam will continue its expansion.

  1. We should demand that our candidates for office know some of the facts about Islam–nicely illustrated above–and opposing candidates should ridicule those who show ignorance. What does Hadith mean? What is kitman? Do you understand abrogation? Demanding knowledge of our leaders seems relatively risk free and probably would not provoke retribution. But so what? We have to do it willy nilly to save our culture.

    • William, that is a common sense response to an uncommon problem that those we elect either choose to ignore, wishing the next seat occupier after them to take up the mantle, or they have full knowledge and propose to do nothing or worse, abet those who believe they have every right under their ideology to subjugate and then to slaughter those who will refuse to fit in with their perverse religion.

      Your suggestions would not, I believe, see the light of day in the current attitude of what passes for ‘freedom of the press’. Indeed, many of those we once relied upon to keep us ‘informed’ on current events to help form our view of current world problems have abrogated their responsibilities as tedious requirements, that to them, generally go unrewarded as compared to the special positions that government gives to those who tow their fascist politically correct line.

      At this point in time all we have to spread the word to those who will listen is the internet. Unfortunately, the internet is not received in as many households as is free to air Soviet Style Media which distorts and censors everything that it broadcasts.

      That today is our major problem.

  4. I’ve enjoyed these essays and find them useful for sharing repeatedly.

    I’m not certain of the author, but. I believe there is a similar post to Bob Smith’s ‘Islam is fear, Part III’, (written in later mos. between ’09 & ’12) which I’ve been trying to track down for quite some time. The essay in question delved into the repetitive physical (head pounding) and uniform features of the cult nature of Islam.

  7. I’ll admit I’ve never understood the need to define Islam as a cult. It’s an attempt (and this article is a good one) to get control of the monster stalking the earth that most of us just don’t understand at all. It’s too foreign, it’s too big, it’s too awful. So let’s try to box it in, put it in a familiar space.

    A cult, almost by definition is a small thing, with small/discrete goals, and usually one charismatic leader, or unifying principal (i.e., Vodun/Voodoo). It falls apart once the leader is dead or jailed. It doesn’t have 1) a codified set of laws, 2) a God, and 3) a moral code, 4) nor does it usually have many followers, all 4 of which define a religion. Significantly, a cult usually attempts to alter the Bible in some way.

    Mormonism is considered a cult because it alters the Bible, though it does have the other factors normally absent in a cult.

    Islam has everything needed to be considered a religion, not a cult, but it is neither. It is a system of laws. Its leaders do not call it a religion, but a complete way of life, a deen (or din). Its leaders are accountable to that law and to Allah/Muhammad, because they believe they are accountable to it. It has a god of convenience, for loyalty, to keep the troops in line with fear and promises of a reward after death in Paradise (which clearly works well), but Islam’s goal is world conquest, not something as small as cult-like worship. It certainly doesn’t intend to alter the Bible and teach another version of it; Islam seeks to do away with all other religions completely.

    Not that our thoughts on this matter a bit: The most important thing we need to keep in mind is how the Believers view it, not how we view it, because it doesn’t matter what we think of it; Muslims are going to do what the Qur’an, ahadith, and Sharia tell them to do.

    We need to focus on corralling its organized leaders in the U.S., namely the Muslim Brotherhood. And the not so well-known Deobandi (think: Jama’at al Fuqra, Tablighi Jamaat (Pakistani), the Taliban, and Jama’at e Islami). And lest we forget, there’s also Hizb-ut Tahrir. And NIAC, the National Iranian American Council. The first person who commented above it correct: Get our elected officials to stop ignoring these vipers in our country, and falling for their lobbying tactics in DC, and it can make a huge difference. Of course, we have to educate them during the election years. That is our responsibility.

    It won’t much matter how many Muslims there are in the country or what they believe if they are not organized and pouring billions of dollars into the university divinity schools, owing the press, holding interfaith dialogue meetings, getting biased information into text books, and setting up mid-east studies in professorships, and the like.

    Egghead: Islam absolutely intends to alter the Bible by 1) reinterpreting the Bible via Islamic ‘holy’ texts, 2) denying the divinity of Jesus as one part of the triune God and the gracious savior of a sinful humankind, 3) demoting Jesus into a human prophet who presages the arrival of the last prophet and final law giver Mohammed, and 4) effectively negating the Ten Commandments in favor of Sharia Law.

  9. I was the other day entering the subway and a couple moslem fellows were distributing leaflets about “Mohammed immense love for Aicha”.

    Having read the said leaflet the preceding day, I simply refused to take it. The young fellow then, fixating his eye upon me, uttered what was likely a curse in arabic – I guess. I found that rather edifying: someone touting the “love” of Mohammed, whereas cursing infidels that refuse to take his propaganda.

    Islam is being sold in our societies as another version of christianity (based on “love”), but just more “serious”, as a common talking point of moslems when trying to proselityze christians: “You christians do not take your faith seriously, while we do, etc.”. Never will they discuss that at the core of their belief system is the need to have an enemy: hatred is what allah does and what believers must also do.

    I do not find the distinction between religion and cult very illuminating here – any religion is a former cult that succeeded. Far more illuminating is the nature of the belief system, and its incompatibility with Western civilization – and I commend the author for clear and concise summary here.

    Knowledge is essential. Anyone should know what islam is, what it does to the societies it invades – Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, etc, its war-like ideology, the hatred it creates in its followers. Everyone should read the koran – just to see how vile and repulsive, this “holy” book is.

    Alas, I am convinced that our societies are entering their twilight and that islam will be victorious. Game theory shows that populations of pacific cooperators are easily invaded by ruthless defectors. This is the frog in warm water analogy: when our societies will wake up, it will be already too late. Thank our elites, our masters for opening the gates to the pest.

  10. What is it that cults hope to achieve? Is it merely the surrender of self to a fantasy of blissful union in a vast, omnipotent entity – god, etc? In the case of Islam is it the covering of all the world with mosques and the choking of all other endeavour to the greater glory of Allah? Allahu akhbar?

    The idea of assigning Islam cult-like status is useful as far it as it goes, but we also need mathematical models which might explain the behaviour of this complex and dangerous phenomenon. For example, work at Hokkaido University on the yellow slime mould Physarum polycephalum might provide a way of thinking about the questions raised by the West’s impaired immunological response to a wide variety of cults including communism, progressive liberalism, Moonies.

    The slime mould creates decentralised, adaptable networks characterised by robust, nutrient-carrying tubes connecting separated foodstuffs. This might as well be a description of Islam as it currently operates in the West’s urban centres – well-organised Islamic clusters tunnelling into their host societies to create a rapidly expanding demographic that will eventually overwhelm the host.

      Your comment on mathematical models is right on. Let me point out a study published by Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the July 22, 2011 online edition of the journal Physical Review E article titled “Social consensus through the influence of committed minorities” (http://news.rpi.edu/luwakkey/2902?destination=node/38887). This study found “that when just 10 percent of the population holds an unshakable belief, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of the society.”

      My own belief is that when this study is applied to Islam the percentage necessary is reduced dramatically – maybe as low as 2-3%. Because Islam has an unseen army of devout believers willing to kill – if you don’t “believe”.

      In reality Islam is controlled by this small percentage (2-3%) of the population. Think of it. The entire population is controlled by a tiny unseen, religiously driven group of thugs.

  11. Read a book called the Messiah complex and even though islam isnt mentioned its clear that old moe had the same psychosis and in common with all these cults an attitude that the number of sexual partners for them should be quite large.

If altering the Bible is a significant characteristic of a cult, then the Protestant churches are, by definition, cults, in that the reformers altered the Bible by deleting certain books as non-canonical. This argument would be absurd of course. Nor are cults obliged to be Christian-flavoured to meet the definition.

    Islam ticks all the boxes for a cult. That it has engulfed a large minority of humanity and endured for 1300 odd years, merely indicates its success. It’s successful, as Bob points out, because it is prepared to kill, rather than brook opposition.

    The Aum Shinrikyo cult comes to mind here. This was the cult responsible for the sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway system in 1995. It, just like Islam, was (and probably still is) prepared to kill. But in this instance, the Japanese authorities were able to contain the threat, unlike the Arabian authorities of the seventh century. The similarities between cult leader Shoko Asahara and Mohammed are striking. Both stole bits of an existing creed to further their ambition. One wanted to be an emperor, the other a prophet. That Mohammed achieved his ambition – was it dumb historical luck, right time, right place, or was it more due to hmm.., let’s say, a supernatural backer? Who can say.

    To return to the point. The advantage of regarding Islam as a cult, is that it enables you to do something about it, rather than just moaning and groaning in this vale of tears. If a nation were to legally define Islam as a pernicious cult, as opposed to a legitimate religion, somewhat in the manner Germany has limited Scientology, its activities could be monitored and, where need be, negated.

    The first cab off the rank would be to close Islamic schools. Organisations like CAIR could be proscribed as a danger to the civil rights of the people. Institutions, from gaols to universities, would not legally be able to provide prayer rooms or foot washing facilities, or make any other specific accommodation to cult demands. Cult members could be disenfranchised and not eligible for public employment. Girls who are minors could be protected from absurd dress requirements etc. etc. etc. And chaps like Ellison would have to wrangle their votes from the other side of the fence. I expect he’d find it very easy to switch sides.

  15. Dorrie, Islam’s cult leader is Satan. The book of Jude talks about a false prophet. Satan will appear as “good” and make false claims of salvation. Islam began in biblical times, when Abraham laid with his wife’s servant because she was barren. Abraham wanted a son and the servant bore him one. God opened up his wife’s womb later on and she also bore Abraham a son, in which Abraham then disowned his son with the maid servant. This is where it began. Abraham’s illegitimate son was denied all inheritances even though he was the “first born.” This is why there have been constant war over the Giza Strip for centuries.

No where does islam allow the killing of innocent people, or the violence that we see. Just as blaming god for all the bad in the world is wrong and unsensible, it is also wrong to blame a religion for the wrong doings of people. There are radicals, who manipulate islamic texts to their own end, and the political instability of their own countries added into the mix, creates a deadly cocktail. Most muslims are innocent people, they have never taken part in any violence or such killings. As selective memory (remembering things that often form a bias view of the matter at hand) can also cloud our thinking. If the media only perpeptuates the violence caused by islam, are we to believe that that is all that islam is good for? It is important to understand the media often delivers half the story, in search of the truth you must do your own research. Jumping to conclusions will almost 100% lead you to making wrong conclusions. Breeding hate will not achieve anything. Converse with muslims in your community, and realize that they are no different from you. Integration is a two way process, as both the muslims and western society form their own biases, and drift further and further away from each other, inevitable hatred will follow.
