One of these men grew up surrounded by Communists, and internalized Marxist ideology from a very young age.
The other is the president of Russia.
Here’s a snip from a conversation on the topic that Vlad Tepes and I had a little while ago on skype:
|Baron:||It’s staggering to think that I trust the former head of the KGB more than I do the US president. Is there a pill I can take for this condition?|
|Vlad:||You mean an anti-reality pill? Yeah, tons of them. Ironically, many of them Soviet invented.|
|Baron:||I need to put myself under and get back in the Matrix.|
|Vlad:||Yes, where the food is good the booze is plentiful and the women are willing.|
|Baron:||And I could see properly again.
When I say I “trust” Vladimir Putin, I don’t mean that I trust him as someone who has my interests at heart. Quite the opposite.
I trust him to act in the interests of Russia. Using whatever ruthless and unscrupulous means he considers necessary. I know he won’t act in the interests of Peru or Pago-Pago.
Mr. Putin takes care of Russians, and that’s why he’s so popular — in Russia.
If only we had leaders who take care of America, and act in the interests of the United States! But we don’t, not in any positions of prominence. Not a single one.
Our leaders care about global equity and international cooperation and the poor people in Yemen or Tuvalu who need to have democracy rammed down their throats.
But the U.S.A.? An atavism! How WAYCIST of you to bring it up.
Britain has no leaders who consider the interests of Britain paramount. Germany’s best and brightest in government scorn the German people. No Frenchman among the political elite takes care of the French above all else.
This is why we all tend to admire Vladimir Putin: We know he takes care of his own.
