Fed, in Surprise Move, Leaves Bond-Buying Intact
The Federal Reserve postponed any retreat from its long-running stimulus campaign Wednesday, saying that it would continue to buy $85 billion a month in bonds to encourage job creation and economic growth.
As Congressional Republicans and the White House hurtle toward another showdown over federal spending, the Fed said it was concerned that fiscal policy once again “is restraining economic growth,” threatening to undermine what the Fed had described just months ago as a recovery gaining strength.
Stock markets jumped after the 2 p.m. announcement, with the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index touching a record high and the Dow Jones industrial average ahead more than 100 points.

Median Household Income Has Fallen for Five Years in a Row
If the economy is getting better, then why do incomes keep falling? According to a shocking new report that was just released by the U.S. Census Bureau, median household income (adjusted for inflation) has declined for five years in a row.
This has happened even though the federal government has been borrowing and spending money at an unprecedented rate and the Federal Reserve has been on the most reckless money printing spree in U.S. history. Despite all of the “emergency measures” that have been taken to “stimulate the economy”, things just continue to get worse for average American families. Friend: Navy Yard Shooter Was an Obama Supporter
In a twist that is sure to frustrate mainstream media mouthpieces who have once again used a shooting incident to push for draconian gun control laws, it turns out that Navy Yard killer Aaron Alexis was a “liberal type” who supported Obama.
Appearing on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper, Michael Ritrovato, a friend of Alexis, stated that he believed the shooter to have liberal political leanings.
After having what he described as several political conversations with Alexis, Ritrovato, also a co-worker of Alexis said:
“Aaron wasn’t conservative, like I am,” Ritrovato added. “He was more of a liberal type.”

Labor Union Bosses Now Freaking Out Over ObamaCare Law They Pushed for: Full Repeal on the Way?

Media Buries Psychiatric Drug Connection to Navy Shooter
Networks don’t want to risk losing $2.4 billion in ad revenue from pharmaceutical giants
Despite every indication that Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis was on SSRI drugs that have been linked to dozens of previous mass shootings, the mainstream media has once again avoided all discussion of the issue, preferring instead to blame the tragedy on a non-existent AR-15 that the gunman didn’t even use.

The Navy Yard shooter was clearly on some form of psychiatric drug, but the media has shown no interest in discovering its identity.

Obama Breaks U.S. Law to Arm Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria
The Hill reports today that President Obama has issued yet another executive order trashing federal law on U..S. arms sales to begin supplying anti-chemical weapons equipment to insurgent forces in Syria.
Under the Arms Export Control Act, the U.S. is prohibited from authorizing shipment of any item included in what’s known as the U.S. Munitions List.
Paragraphs (a)-(c) of Category XIV specifically outlaws exporting “chemical agents” or “equipment for dissemination, detection, and identification of, and defense against” those agents.
Section 121.7(e) explicitly names “nerve agents, gases, and aerosols” under the definition of the chemical agents that the government is explicitly banned from exporting.
National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden informs us that by dint of President Obama’s awesomeness, the laws forbidding these exports now no longer apply to ““international organizations … [and] select vetted members of the Syrian opposition, including the Supreme Military Council.”
“This action is part of longstanding and ongoing efforts to provide life-saving chemical weapons-related assistance to people in need in Syria,” Hayden added.
Need I mention that the Supreme Military Council, the armed wing of the Obama -backed Syrian Opposition Coalition is Muslim Brotherhood dominated?
Or that the rebels themselves have poison gas?
And have committed numerous atrocities? Although of course, to channel Hillary Clinton, since a lot of them have been carried out against Syria’s Christians (it is the Sunni insurgents who are exclusively responsible for the murder and ethnic cleansing of Christians in Syria) what difference does it make?
But wait, there’s more. The the shipment will violate another law, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which, in case you’ve forgotten, mandates anyone suspected of providing material support to al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces is subject to indefinite detention in military custody. The Washington Post reported on September 11 that the The Obama Administration has been sending the insurgents shipments that are “limited to light weapons and other munitions that can be tracked.” However, according to CBS News, the list of materiel being trafficked to Syrian jihadis is a lot more heavy duty:
The agency has also arranged for the Syrian opposition to receive anti-tank weaponry like rocket-propelled grenades through a third party, presumably one of the Gulf countries that has been arming the rebels, a senior U.S. intelligence official and two former intelligence officials said Thursday. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the classified program publicly.
President Obama has approved shipments of weapons and money to the Syrian insurgents, one of whose main components is the al-Qaeda franchise al-Nusra. Does anyone seriously believe that arms and money we’ve given to the president’s Muslim Brotherhood friends hasn’t found it’s way to al-Qaeda? Oddly enough, this same president, who wants to arm our bitter, sworn enemies the jihadis and is spending taxpayer dollars to do it is doing absolutely everything he can to disarm Americans and destroy their Second Amendment rights. Why? Any ‘journalists’ out there with the stones to ask him?…

“President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to “vetted” opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Rock Hill Mosque Finished, Open Soon for Prayers

Shooters and the Pharmaceuticals

Considering the shooting which took place on Monday in Washington D.C. by Aron Alexis, I thought it relevant to bring forth information that most people may not suspect or otherwise may not be aware of. The New York Times reported Tuesday, “The former Navy reservist who killed 12 people in a shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday had exhibited signs of mental illness dating back more than a decade, including a recent episode in which he complained about hearing voices and of people sending “vibrations to his body” to prevent him from sleeping.” Interesting. Pretty bizarre diagnosis on the behalf of the shooter, or not!

On September 10, The Wall Street Journal reported that “The Obama administration plans to block the construction of new coal-fired power plants unless they are built with novel and expensive technology to capture greenhouse-gas emissions, according to people familiar with a draft proposal.” The U.S. has more than 27% of the world’s known coal reserves.

U.S. To Seize Manhattan Skyscraper Secretly Owned by Iran
The U.S. government is set to seize a Manhattan skyscraper that prosecutors say is secretly owned and controlled by the Iranian government.
The 36-story tower is located on Fifth Avenue in the heart of New York City, adjacent to Rockefeller Center, and is home to a number of corporate tenants. Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, said Tuesday that the seizure and sale of the property would be the government’s largest-ever terrorism-related forfeiture.

Montreal Bus Video Appears to Show Anti-Muslim Altercation
A video that appears to show a man and a Muslim woman arguing on a Montreal city bus is the latest indication of racial tensions boiling over in Quebec.
The exclusive video was obtained by Huffington Post Quebec and is said to have happened on the afternoon of Aug. 28 on the 69 Gouin bus.
In it, the man tells the woman, who is wearing a hijab, to go back to her country.
The person who filmed it said the altercation lasted between five and 10 minutes, until the man got off the bus.
CBC News has not been able to confirm the authenticity of the video.
However, similar expressions of anti-Muslim sentiment took place in other parts of Quebec around the same time.

Circus to Sue Italian Mayor for Trying to Bar Animal Shows
Damages for ‘humiliation’ sought
(ANSA) — Brindisi, September 17 — Italy’s Orfei circus said Tuesday it will sue the mayor of the Southern Italian city of Brindisi for attempting to prohibit animal shows.
Mayor Mimmo Consales had gone as far as erecting large posters bearing the slogan “circuses with animals are not welcome” around Brindisi before a court overruled his actions.
“We will ask for damages for the humiliation suffered and for the slanderous attack against the Orfei circus carried out by the mayor”, the circus said in a statement.
“A mayor is neither a dictator nor a despot.”

Denmark: Artist Convicted of Racism Speaks Out
Firoozeh Bazrafkan was found guilty of racism for her comments about Muslim men, but she argues that anti-racism legislation is stifling the critique of religion
Danish-Iranian artist Firoozeh Bazrafkan was handed a 5,000 kroner fine on Monday when the Western High Court found her guilty of racism.
She was charged by Aarhus Police of violating anti-racism legislation, section 266 b of the penal code, after publishing a blog entry in Jyllands-Posten newspaper in December 2011, in which she stated:
“I am very convinced that Muslim men around the world rape, abuse and kill their daughters. This is, according to my understanding as a Danish-Iranian, due to a defective and inhumane culture— if you can even call it a culture at all. But you can say, I think, that it is a defective and inhumane religion whose textbook, the Koran, is more immoral, deplorable and crazy than manuals of the two other global religions combined.”
Bazrafkan had appropriated the text from an article published by free speech activist Lars Pedersen, who had also been charged and convicted of racism after publishing it on the online newspaper, 180grader.dk

English Fans ‘Not Bothered’ By Racism in Football
Racism in football remains a major problem in England, a survey suggests — but English fans are not especially concerned by it.
Research by YouGov found 91% of football fans in England think racism exists in the beautiful game in their country. Only Italy scored higher, with 92% of fans saying the problem exists in Italy. But whereas Italy also topped the list of countries acknowledging there is a problem — with 71% saying it needs to be addressed — only 43% of English fans think the issue needs tackling.

France: Man Jailed for Daylight Rape on Paris RER Train
A 20-year-old man, who was found guilty of raping a young woman in broad daylight on a regional RER commuter train near Paris, was jailed for nine years on Tuesday. Prosecutors in Paris had demanded an 11-year jail term.
According to reports the attacker targeted his victim as she travelled in a carriage without any other passengers on an RER D train, just south of Paris at around midday on December 23, 2011.
The robbery thrust levels of crime on Paris’s transport system into the spotlight.
According to data published in Le Figaro, there are 150 reported crimes each day on the rail network in and around Paris. In total there are around 55,000 crimes each year on the RER and Metro services in the French capital, which represents a rise of 1.7 percent on last year.
Although Le Figaro reports that acts of violence on trains decreased in 2012, attacks against members of staff soared by 25 percent.

Islamic Schools in Britain Forcing Girls as Young as 11 to Wear Full-Face Veils
Muslim schools all over Britain are forcing female pupils as young as 11 to wear burkas, it emerged today.
Institutions say that they are ‘strict’ on uniforms for their children because full-face veils are the ‘desired dress code of a Muslim female’.
But campaigners believe it is ‘wrong’ for any child to cover their face and the Home Secretary Theresa May says that all women should be able to ‘make a choice’ about what they wear.
It came as a judge ruled this week that a Muslim will be allowed to stand trial with her face covered as long as it is removed while giving evidence.
The case has prompted some MPs to call for full-face veils to be banned but many Islamic schools, which have control over uniform policy, insist their pupils wear burkas.
The Madani Girls School in Tower Hamlets, East London, requires all its pupils wear a black burka and a long black coat outside.
On its website, its describes its uniform policy as ‘strict’ and as supporting the ‘desired dress code of a Muslim female’.

Fans targeted black players in Saturday’s match against Juve
(ANSA) — Rome, September 17 — Serie A’s sporting judge on Tuesday ordered that a section of the San Siro Stadium be closed for Inter Milan’s next home game as punishment for racist abuse from fans directed at Juventus players during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the champions.
The second tier of the Curva Nord end stand of the ground will be closed for Inter’s match against Fiorentina on September 26. Rome clubs Lazio and AS Roma have also had sections of the Stadio Olimpico closed for matches this season because of spectator racism, as Serie A applies stiffer punishments in a bid to stamp out a problem that has scarred Italian football for years.

Scotland: Man Jailed for Bacon Attack on Mosque
A MAN who attached bacon onto the handles of Central Mosque’s main door before throwing the meat product inside the place of worship been jailed for 10 months.
Wayne Stilwel, 25, was caught on CCTV committing the act on January 31. Edinburgh Sheriff court today heard that Islam prohibits its followers from consuming products made of pork — and that Stilwel’s actions offended people at the mosque. Stilwel, a prisoner at Saughton, pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace charge before Sheriff Gordon Liddle at a hearing last month. Sentence had been deferred in order for the court to obtain reports about Stilwel’s character. Today, Sheriff Gordon Liddle branded Stilwel’s actions “grossly offensive”. Defence solicitor Matthew Nicholson told the court that his client was sorry for his crime and accepted that he would be going to prison.

Sweden: Men Stuck on Roof After Wild Boar Attack
Two young men had to be rescued by police after coming across a herd of wild boar during a late-night walk through a nature reserve in southern Stockholm.
The two men sought shelter on a roof when the boars attacked them, but the animals refused to leave so the men did not dare climb down.
Instead, they called the police, but they had to remain on the roof for an hour since the police patrol car could not cope with the terrain. Eventually, the police officers had to borrow a four-wheeler to reach the men. They were finally rescued, unscathed, at 1 AM.

A mother starved her four-year-old to death and kept his mummified corpse in a cot in her bedroom for almost two years while claiming his child benefit, a court heard today.
Hamzah Khan’s body was still dressed in a baby-gro when police made the ‘dreadful discovery’ at Amanda Hutton’s house in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
His mother’s manslaughter trial has started and heard Hamzah died in December 2009 but was found 21 months later.
Instead of calling 999 when her son perished, unemployed Hutton had ordered a takeaway pizza, the jury was told.
Opening the case for the prosecution, Paul Greaney QC told Bradford Crown Court that the boy, four, was so small he fitted into clothes for a six-month-old child.
He was found dead next to his favourite teddy in the room where Hutton, a habitual cannabis smoker who drank a litre of vodka every day, slept each night…
The jury heard that Hamzah’s father, Aftab Khan, was separated from Hutton and lived elsewhere.
Mr Greaney said there is evidence Mr Khan was violent towards the defendant.

(ANSAmed) — TUNIS, SEPTEMBER 17 — Launched in Tunis on Tuesday, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Med4Jobs program is designed to fill the gap between supply and demand by developing an entrepreneurial culture and with it, a private sector in unemployment-plagued Southern Mediterranean countries.
Presented at the two-day UfM Mediterranean Economic Conference which kicked off today, Med4Jobs was conceived as an “inter-sectorial” program based on concrete projects, thus marking a departure from past practices, which saw funds being allocated but seldom translating into action. The idea is to leverage people’s existing skills, and to train them in new skills with market demand in mind. The focus is on small and medium businesses and on the interchange of strategies, with the involvement of relevant national ministries as well as local, national, regional and international organizations.
The methodology is pragmatism, and gradual development fostering the link between employment and territorial development, UfM Secretary General Fathallah Sijilmassi explained.
“Thanks to this opportunity we call on all those with a concrete project to come meet with us, and we also call on UfM member governments to join us in taking action,” the secretary general added.

Syria: Damascus Has Proof Rebels Used Poison Gas, Says Russia
Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov meets with President Assad today
(ANSAmed) — MOSCOW — Syria has turned over evidence proving that rebel forces were behind the August 21 poison gas attack, Russian news agencies cited Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov as saying in Damascus on Wednesday.
“This evidence must be analyzed,” said Ryabkov. “Without a complete picture of events in Syria, we cannot but define the conclusions drawn by UN experts as being politicized, biased and unilateral.” For Moscow, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) — and not the UN Security Council — must play a “key role” in dismantling Syria’s chemical arsenal. The Security Council’s job is to provide security and logistics support only, Ryabkov added. Zanzibar Police Arrest 15 Connected to Acid Attacks
Police in Zanzibar have arrested 15 people in connection with a spate of acid attacks in recent months.
Mussa Ali Mussa, the police commissioner, also claimed police seized 29 litres of acid from different people, alleging they were illegally in possession of it. Last month two young female British volunteers were badly burned when acid was thrown in their faces by a man on a motorcycle. Last week a Catholic priest was attacked and badly injured in the fifth acid attack in Zanzibar in Tanzania since November. Mr Mussa also claimed that the suspects had links to al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab, but offered no evidence. Analysts thought the allegations unlikely, with Ahmeid Rajab, the managing director of the Somali satellite television network, Universal TV saying: “Zanzibar is unlikely to have an al-Shabaab or al-Qaeda presence. Hundreds of Africans Make Dash for Spain
Hundreds of migrants stormed the frontier from Morocco onto Spanish soil on Tuesday by land and sea, clashing with police in one raid that left seven people injured, officials said.
They were the latest in a wave of thousands of impoverished migrants trying to reach Spain, with officials saying their numbers have swelled in recent years due to unrest in northern Africa.
Before dawn, about 300 migrants tore down part of the six-metre (20-foot) high fence around Melilla, a Spanish-governed territory bordering northern Morocco and about 100 made it through, Spanish government officials there said in a statement.
“The raiders managed to pull down completely the border fence and entered violently, throwing objects at the security forces who tried to repel the assault,” the statement said.
In a separate incident, another 350 people, described as migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, tried to reach Spain’s other north African territory, Ceuta, by swimming to one of its beaches from a nearby Moroccan shore.
Of those, 91 made it, authorities said. A spokesman for the local Spanish government delegation said it was “the biggest assault on Ceuta since 2007.”
He estimated about 700 more migrants were waiting near the border in Morocco hoping to cross to Ceuta.

Undocumented LA County Parents on Pace to Receive $650m in Welfare Benefits
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A projected $650 million in welfare benefits will be distributed to illegal alien parents in 2013, county officials said Monday.
An estimated 100,000 children of 60,000 undocumented parents receive aid in Los Angeles County, according to Antonovich, who said this year’s projections — up about $1 million from the nearly $53 million in total benefits issued in July 2012 — underscore the economic impact of the nation’s immigration debate.
“When you add the $550 million for public safety and nearly $500 million for healthcare, the total cost for illegal immigrants to county taxpayers exceeds $1.6 billion dollars a year,” Antonovich said in a statement. “These costs do not even include the hundreds of millions of dollars spent annually for education.”

France Seeks to Ban ‘Sexualized’ Child Beauty Pageants
The French Senate passed an interesting bill today, one that would ban beauty pageants for children under 16 and impose stiff penalties on adults who try to enter children into such a contest.
This provision is an amendment that’s part of a broader bill on women’s rights, It now heads to the National Assembly, the French Parliament’s lower house, for debate and another vote.
Proponents of the measure say that it will protect children from being prematurely “sexualised” through the use of heavy make-up and sexually provocative attire.
Or as we call it here on this side of the pond, the ‘Jon Benet Ramsey look’.
The amendment came after a parliamentary report was released entitled “Against Hyper-Sexualisation: A New Fight For Equality”, which, in addition to calling for an end to the pageants, encouraged a ban on adult-style clothing for children, including padded bras and high-heeled shoes.
The clothing ban apparently didn’t fly, but the ban on the Lolita oriented pageants which feature this type of attire did.
Adults who try to enter a child into such a contest can be hit with up to two years in prison and a heavy 30,000-euro fine.
This is a lot more important than it seems at first glance. It’s a push back, however limited, against the rising decadence in western culture. And I think the French are on to something here.
When you put twelve-year-old girls in adult style makeup and sexually enticing clothing, it not only sends a message to the girls, but to those watching them. In the case of certain males, that message is ‘up for grabs’ and ‘permitted’. To a lot of young girls, that message is ‘this is how you have to dress and behave to be cool, desired and worthy of attention’. The end result in too many instances is sexual exploitation, teen pregnancies, and heartache.
I’m not surprised this became an issue in France. Contrary to popular belief, French sexual and dating culture is fairly conservative, due to its strong Catholic heritage. The usual ‘date’ in France consists of a group of like minded friends of both sexes who go out together and may or may not gradually pair off.An individual American style one on one date is usually a sign of serious involvement.
And France’s unpopular Socialist government only recently imposed legalized gay marriage over a storm of widespread protest.
If this passes in the Assembly, it will be a small step, but an important one. We should definitely emulate it on this side of the pond.

I agree with the Prime Minister about not prosecuting Tottenham fans for chanting the word “Yid”, as in “Yid Army” or “Yiddo”. It’s intended as a term of approbation, not abuse. As Cameron told the Jewish Chronicle: “You have to think of the mens rea. There’s a difference between Spurs fans self-describing themselves as Yids and someone calling someone a Yid as an insult. You have to be motivated by hate. Hate speech should be prosecuted — but only when it’s motivated by hate.”
This is eminently sensible, particularly as the police and the courts have got quite enough to do, what with pursuing the likes of Old Holburn on Twitter and teenage boys who are rude about Tom Daley. If you prosecute Jews for re-appropriating a racial epithet, won’t you have to prosecute gays for using the word “queer”, not to mention African-American rappers who use the word “nigger”?
