I hope the Kwanzaa Marmoset brought you a great big basket full of yummy carob Passover eggs.
There, is that inclusive enough?
I hope the Kwanzaa Marmoset brought you a great big basket full of yummy carob Passover eggs.
There, is that inclusive enough?
And a very happy and blessed Easter to you!
Happy Sneaster, to the Baron and his Lady – where I live there is still winterwonderland happening …
Pessach was never thought to be a “party” …… it should be a sober remembering on the circumstances which led to the fleeing of a whole tribe(s), the Israelis.
They made it …… with help. So there is also reason to be thanking … to party even a little bit on the final win in fleeing slavery…..
But which came into the people was bit by bit the “pharaonic” “Ideals” of enslaving even among the own people … …
………and when Jeschu came to open show up this extreme bad tendencies and how simple loving life should and can be, the Israli “pharaos” then considered how to murder him ….. finally they decided to use the Roman “pharaominded Souls” …….
So this is a bitter remembering ……. not a single reason to party as to what is the ancient Pessach concered ….. but which WAS DONE IN THE AFTERMATH of the ancient Pessach THE RESURRECTION of JEHU – and there is much evidenc this really had happened – is a signal to all souls who try to gain power to enslave …… “You make yourself enemy of the Ever ONE TRUE, the SPIRITUAL ABBA OF JEHU ”
So Pessach is according to historical evidence once more, by far more a time for contemplation and severe thinking …… with just one reason of coming out of this thinking by finding ways into hope to end enslavement mentalities …….
e.g. which is – for example – at the heart of Islam
PS.: Osteria – is a “Northern” Godness …… strong German to US connections led maybe to the spin of the word into Easter …… its a cult of “prospering” …
Not useful as an “alltogether party” when in High parts of a country there is very small of growing, maybe still much snow, where in the Low Lands there might be even full spring ……. so feasting on new crop and vegetables in nature coming into being should have solely a regional timing……..in little parties …
Since the big one is when crop is taken in in autumn …. when in higher altitudes life is going “to sleep again” …. and all from there already also havin been brought in. Partying as its in the Tanach by the Ever True if Hope is fulfilled is really cause for a big altogether feast ….. and maybe those who got losses on the field maybe get comfort again also by getting presents to come happily over the winter time.
So – again – Pessach is a severe time …. and since “Eagle Minded” again try to strive people again into Slavery Pessach is getting more severe…..
Its the mentality of the “Eagle Minded”: We and THEY – when they mean the Souls – especially of low income ……
True living stays in the “We`s “…….
… the “We`s” which are free from the Robbers hearts behind feathers.
A blessed Easter to all.
Happy Easter to all.
Google does Easter-not:
How about instead of the bright colors of you-know-what, we make the Google logo a pale beige, not quite colorless but as close as dammit? That Easter thing is evil, so let’s find something else. Oh, I know – use it for Cesar Chavez’ birthday…yeah, we can be virtuous and arrogant in one go.

I crossed the Tiber last night at the Easter Vigil at St. Mary’s Church. I received my first communion and still smell like chrism and incense!
Down the centuries the Church has attracted intelligent, thoughtful converts who get the authentic part that lives vibrantly despite the weight of all the bureaucracy, mendacity, and shocking wantonness on the surface.
That ‘pearl of great price’ is indeed there, and you found it. Please accept my congratulations, Jewel. You’re in good, even great, company.
Part of the reason Catholicism has lasted so long is its willingness to tolerate a wide variety of views as long as you’re circumspect in your heresies. It will outlast the grievous harm done to children by clerics world-wide. They know what awaits them. It will outlast less-than-stellar popes. It will even outlast secular atheism and totalitarian Islam and whatever other isms replace those in their turn.
While we can never forget that any human effort to represent God-on-earth is doomed to be simply Man-trying-to-be-God, the humble recognition of our human nature is the first step to wisdom.
As Augustine said, “love and do what you will”…and as Jesus said, love yourself first.
Wow, you nailed it.
I do hope that you are right. With the threats of Leftist transformation of our society and of encroaching Islam, I have long hoped that the Church would rise up and assert herself. Despite its differences, Christendom needs to unite and recognize both what is held in common and what needs to be done to protect it.
Popes come and go. Fads religious and academic come and go. The pearl of great price is burnished in the hearts and minds of her humblest saints. I came to the Church because I wanted Christ and Him fully. I wasn’t finding Him where I was sitting.
Thank you, Jewel Atkins, for saying the core of it very clearly.
Belated Happy Easter to you all. And divine retribution to all our enemies. The sad thing is that, of this day, Jesus will save anyone but the world is filled with hatred.
I return to Kenneth Clarke’s 1969 civilisation series. It began with Europe escaping by the skin of its teeth after the barbarian invasions, although we now know that things happening around the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean might have had more to do with Europe’s dark hours. It ended with Clarke saying that European Christian Civilisation would only go down it we lose confidence in ourselves. The people who log on to this site have never lost confidence in our civilisation. Sadly, many have been terrorised by the Marxists into doing so. Christianity is expanding rapidly outside Europe whilst Islam is shrinking as people escape it if they dare. Eventually, we hope that Russia and China together might rechristianise the West. We have reached a turning point and this is what I believe the Mayan prophecy was all about. Civilisation is at a crossroads. Christ is risen and Europe and her peoples overseas will arise. The radical right is gaining all over Europe despite the Marxist totalitarianism which is trying to keep it down. Neither Megalomaniacal plutocrats, nor demented Marxist nor captive Marxists will destroy 2,000 plus years of what became the most advanced and inventive civilisation the world has ever known.
Sorry, that should have been captive Muslims not Marxists, they are just demented.
