Has there been a coordinated crackdown against Counterjihad activists across the European Union? Besides the takedown of the EDL and British Freedom, four leaders of the Génération Identitaire group that occupied the mosque in Poitiers have been arrested. Meanwhile several leaders of the German group Pro-Köln are being investigated for fraud, and have had their houses searched and their computers confiscated. All of these incidents occurred within the space of three days.

In financial news, the Moody’s ratings agency downgraded the debt of five major Spanish regions — Catalonia, Andalucía, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, and Murcia — to junk status, below investment grade.

Our Norwegian correspondent The Observer has translated an article from yesterday’s Dagbladet about official Norway’s recent alarming discovery: Norway is harboring lots of potential Islamic terrorists! Who knew?

The translator includes this note:

This concerns the problem of potential ticking time bombs of the Islamic kind. The Norwegian Parliament was briefed about this threat in a secret meeting earlier this month. Needless to say, the information at the ‘top secret’ meeting was leaked to the press. Surprise, surprise!

According to the article, several of the politicians present at the meeting were surprised to hear about the new imported terrorist threat, but they shouldn’t be. There have been countless warnings in the last three decades from patriotic Norwegians about the very real and dangerous consequences of the ludicrous practice of importing potential terrorist to Norway disguised as a humane refugee policy.

One also has to question the determination and willingness of the authorities in preventing a terrorist attack from these bearded savages, considering that the authorities have no qualms about handing out weapons licences to these maniacs, and that they see nothing wrong with letting these jihadists legally procure six weapons per head.

Norway, the country governed by idiots.

Parliament briefed about “Norwegian terrorists”

Leading Norwegian politicians have been briefed about potential Islamic terrorists in Norway during a secret meeting in the Norwegian Parliament

In a secret meeting on October 1, Minister of Justice Grete Faremo and Minister of Defence Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen briefed the Norwegian Parliament about the growing terrorist threat in Norway. Several potential Islamist terrorists were mentioned by name.

Sources who were present when the extended Foreign Affairs and Defense committee was briefed on the terrorist threat in Norway have told Dagbladet that the threat of a terrorist attack carried out by extreme Islamists have never been higher than it is today in Norway.

Dagbladet has been told that the ministers were accompanied by the top management from the PST and the Military Intelligence Service during the secret briefing. Representatives from the National Security Authority were also present when Faremo and Strøm-Erichsen briefed the parliament in great detail about the terrorist threat.

Secret briefing

Everybody who attended the briefing had to hand over their cell phones and other electronic equipment before they were allowed to be take part in the secret meeting. Several of the attendees were surprised when the ministers revealed the identities of individuals that the secret service believes could be potential terrorists.

Dagbladet is familiar with several of the names that the politicians were briefed about. During previous briefings names of potential terrorists have never been disclosed.

40 potential terrorists

According to the information given by the Police Security Service (PST), the Military Intelligence Services, and the National Security Authority (NSM), there are approximately of 40 individuals in Norway who are viewed as potential and dangerous terrorist. These men are based in Norway, but several of them travel to conflict areas abroad.

The group of potential Islamists terrorists consists of several different ethnicities

A handful of them are of ethnic Norwegian origin and have converted to Islam. The rest of them have different ethnic backgrounds. Some of them have Norwegian citizenship, others have for variety of reasons been granted Norwegian residency permits.

Dagbladet has been informed that the MPs were briefed about ethnic Afghans, Pakistanis, Iraqi Kurds and Somalis. Among the extreme Islamists that the Norwegian authorities fear could commit acts of terrorism in Norway are some with Tunisian and Algerian backgrounds.

Monitored

“We were told that these communities are closely monitored. Several of them have direct contact with various al-Qaeda groups,” according to one person who attended the secret meeting.

Lieutenant General Kjell Grandhagen, Chief of the Military Intelligence Service, confirmed last week on NRK’s TV evening news program, “Dagsrevyen”, that at least seven Norwegian citizens operate alongside al-Qaeda in Syria.

Dagbladet is familiar with the identity of several of these Norwegians. Some of them were also mentioned when the Ministers briefed the extended foreign affairs and defense committee about the growing terror threat in Norway.

When asked by one of the MPs why these potential terrorists haven’t already been arrested, he was informed that it’s more useful at the present time for the authorities to track their movements rather than apprehend them.

Father and sons

Among those who are currently fighting with al-Qaeda are a father and his two sons who have Norwegian citizenship. Dagbladet has unsuccessfully been trying to get in touch with the men — who are not ethnic Norwegians.

Aftenposten have previously reported that Arfan Bhatti is in Syria, but according to sources Dagbladet has been in contact with Bhatti is currently in Pakistan, but on his way to Syria.

Another individual who claims to be fighting in Syria is Mohammad Mohyeldeen from Larvik. According to information on his own Facebook page he is currently in the war-torn country.

Besides extreme Islamists travelling to Syria, the Norwegian authorities are also closely monitoring Somalis who travel to Africa to fight with the terrorist group al-Shabaab. PST and The Military Intelligence Service fear that those who travel to Syria to fight alongside al-Qaeda will eventually return to Norway and take leadership positions within the extreme Islamist community in Norway.

“We fear that Islamists with blood on their hands will return to Norway and attain a prominent position within their own communities,” Dagbladet is told.

Close cooperation

Although PST is responsible for preventing terror attacks in Norway, and the Military Intelligence Service responsibility is to safeguard Norwegian interests abroad, the two agencies are today working together more closely than ever. At the secret parliament meeting it was revealed that the Military Intelligence Service is currently lending resources to PST. Up until recently the PST has only had the capacity to monitor a handful of the potential terrorists. Personnel currently on loan from the Military Intelligence Service will be under the command of the PST.

Several sources that Dagbladet has been in contact with claim that the Norwegian authorities are using relatively modest resources on dealing with the terrorist threat which is on the rise in Norway.

Big changes

The extreme Islamist community in Norway has changed drastically in just a few years. Previously the various ethnic groups tended to stick together. Today, however, there are clear signs that would tend to indicate that ethnicity is not the most important factor anymore. Today loyalty to the Prophet and hatred for Western values are more important.

The Norwegian authorities’ worst nightmare is that the “Norwegian” Islamists who today are fighting with al-Qaeda in Syria will return home and influence young Islamists to carry out terror attacks on Norwegian soil.

Warned

Last winter PST stated in its threat assessment:

“Extreme Islamism will continue to constitute the biggest terror threat in Norway in 2012. Although there are few people in Norway that support extreme Islamism, the recruitment to some of these communities is growing. Leading figures in the communities can exploit this trend to establish cells or groups in Norway that have the intention of planning violent acts. Norway stands out as central target to some of these leaders. Individuals from extreme Islamist networks are also more involved in activities of a more operational nature than before. Many travel to conflict areas in order to receive training, combat experience and make contact with international networks. Such stays may affect the individual’s desire and ability to plan a terrorist act in Norway. At the same time individuals who constitute a threat could carry out violent acts independently, regardless of such travels.”

The threat assessment has since been raised.

I first learned of the arrest of Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll early yesterday morning — after most Americans were in bed, and before most Brits were awake. I held off posting anything (other than a single sketchy MSM report) until I had more information.

And now Paul Weston has also been arrested — events are overtaking us thick and fast.

Before I get into the details (such as I have), let’s take a look at the broad picture: this was obviously a carefully-planned takedown of the English Defence League.

The Powers That Be in the UK have apparently determined that the EDL is weak at the moment. They calculated that a precisely-targeted “short, sharp shock” could destroy it. Put Tommy Robinson behind bars for a long, long time; disrupt Kevin Carroll’s election campaign; and, for good measure, arrest the Chairman of the British Freedom Party.

I think they expect the remnants of the EDL to run around like a chicken with its head cut off. With its leaders incapacitated, and its rank-and-file in disarray, the British authorities assume the movement will fall to pieces and decline into irrelevance, just as the BNP did before it.

So, for any English Defence League supporters who happen to read this: if you want to prove your Masters wrong — if you want to demonstrate that “No Surrender!” is still alive and well in England — you’ll need to pull together, even in the absence of the top leadership, and flex your organizational muscles.

I’m far away, and not a native Englishman, so I can’t offer any advice on the best way to do this. But I know it can be done.

I know the English spirit and the English people — I lived among them during my formative years.

If you put your minds to it, you can surmount this obstacle, just as you have so many others. I have every confidence in you.

Now on to the news. First, a report from Luton Today about the arrest of Tommy Robinson, who seems to have been stitched up on two separate charges: one for assault, and one for using a false passport to travel to the Freedom Defense Initiative in New York on September 11:

EDL leader arrested over assault

English Defence League leader Stephen Lennon has been arrested over an alleged assault in Luton on Saturday morning.

It is believed the victim was Saiful Islam, known for preaching his extremist views in Bury Park.

The pair featured in Channel 4 documentary Proud and Prejudiced earlier this year, and a You Tube video of an altercation between the pair in Bury Park last year has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.

A spokesman for Beds Police said a man was assaulted in New Bedford Road at about 10.15am by five men who got out of a black BMW.

He was punched and kicked and lost his mobile phone and keys in the incident, and his injuries are described as “reddening of the left eye”.

Police confirmed a 29-year-old man was being held on suspicion of assault.

Lennon, who calls himself Tommy Robinson, is currently being held by police on suspicion of conspiring to cause a public nuisance after police intercepted a group of 53 EDL members on their way to east London on Saturday.

The English Defence League has released a statement saying everyone arrested on Saturday, apart from Lennon, was bailed yesterday and that he was also being held on suspicion of entering the US illegally following a trip to New York in September.

Also among those understood to have been arrested on Saturday was Kevin Carroll, who is standing in the police and crime commissioner elections for Bedfordshire.

The charges against Kevin Carroll appear much flimsier, and hardly to be taken seriously — this is obviously a ruse to sandbag Kev’s candidacy for PCC in Bedfordshire.

Bedfordshire PCC candidate Kevin Carroll arrested

A police and crime commissioner candidate for Bedfordshire has been arrested.

British Freedom Party candidate Kevin Carroll was arrested after about 50 English Defence League (EDL) supporters were stopped by police on Saturday, the party said.

Police said officers arrested 53 men in connection with an operation in London.

A spokesman for the party said Mr Carroll’s election campaign would be “unaffected”.

The spokesman said: “Following Saturday’s events, we learn directly from Kevin Carroll that he has been bailed until 30 November, which means that his election campaign for Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is unaffected.

‘Planned disturbance’

“We can confirm that Kevin was not among EDL supporters stopped by police… but was arrested later whilst driving to his home.”

The Metropolitan Police said the men were held on the M25 motorway near Heathrow Airport and Uxbridge and on the M3 near Bagshot, Surrey.

The men were heading to a location in east London, but police have not revealed where they were due to gather.

All 53 were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause public nuisance, the Metropolitan Police said.

They have been bailed until a later date pending further inquiries.

A Met spokesman said: “This was part of an intelligence-led investigation into a planned disturbance in east London on that day [Saturday]”.

One of the bail conditions imposed on the men bans them from entering east London to demonstrate for a stipulated period of time, police said.

We have just heard that Tommy Robinson has been incarcerated in London’s Wandsworth Prison, sharing a cell with Muslims on a wing full of Muslims screaming death threats at him.

This is how the authorities react to those who try to warn Britain of the greatest threat to national peace and security since the Second World War.

The British Government is hereby forewarned that should any harm come to Tommy Robinson in prison, they will be held to account.

The Government has a duty of care to all prisoners, not to go out of their way to place them in potential danger for vindictive or political reasons.

I already knew about the arrest of Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll (more on that when I gather sufficient information); I learned that yesterday. Now I find out that Sgt. Plod has also laid his apprehending hands on Paul Weston, the chairman of the British Freedom Party.

I have just received an urgent telephone call from British Freedom leader Paul Weston who has been arrested outside Wormwood Scrubs Prison*.

Speaking from the back of a police van being driven to an unknown destination, Paul hurriedly informed me that he and a friend had travelled to the prison in West London this evening with the aim of visiting Tommy Robinson, or at least assuring themselves of his well-being.

Speaking through a glass panel they had asked officers at the prison to confirm that Tommy was being held there, but they refused to provide this information, citing the ‘Data Protection Act’. Paul and his friend again demanded to know where Tommy was being held, and at that point both were charged with breach of the peace, arrested and bundled into the police van.

Our conversation was cut off with Paul loudly remonstrating to an unidentified individual, “take your hands off me!”

We will update you on the situation as it unfolds.

Same for me — I’ll post more when it comes in.

By the way, I’ve heard that Tommy is being held in Wandsworth Prison (wherever that is).

The Jordanian security services foiled a major terror plot which they said would have caused thousands of deaths if the plotters had succeeded in their aim of attacking shopping centers and foreign diplomats. Eleven Islamic activists were arrested and shown on TV, all of them wearing identical blue shirts and long beards.

In other news, Muslim organizations and left-wing anti-racist groups in France were alarmed by yesterday’s occupation of the Grand Mosque in Poitiers by young operatives from Génération Identitaire. They are calling on the French authorities to take action to stop such manifestations of racism, intolerance, and Islamophobia.

This past May, leaders of the Coalition of African American Pastors requested a meeting with President Obama and with Eric Holder, the head of the Justice Department. In August they complained publicly that they’d never received “the courtesy of a reply”.

Did you see any mention of it in the MSM? I didn’t either, though when Bill K sent the link to this YouTube video, I did search the MSM news from August. I found a few mentions in the right-wing media. However, in the main this story seems just to be part of the YouTube ghetto, taken from C-Span. The president ignored these 3,742 black pastors, so the media did too. Why? Because they don’t ever cross Obama — they have neither the courage nor the integrity to act on journalistic principle if it means making The One look bad.

The speakers for the CAAP said:

“He thinks he can ignore us because he has us in his pocket… we take great offense to that…”

“I am shamed that the first black president chose this road… I am not going to stand with you with this foolishness.”

Yep. That’s what my black neighbors call it too: foolishness.

Black Christians in America, as elsewhere, tend to be social conservatives. So when Obama came out against the Defense of Marriage Act for the first time earlier in the current campaign cycle, many saw it for what it was: a cynical move to open the purse strings of the liberal gay voting bloc. Give the devil his due, though — it got Obama the money he needed in the moment.

DOMA was passed by Congress and signed by then-President Clinton in 1996. Like all “progressives”, Clinton has since progressed — regressed — to the newer popular opinion in favor of gay marriage, a “popularity” pushed by the MSM and the dominant gate-keepers. Clinton’s prior agreement with the law was considered a centrist opinion when he signed it. Back then he and his fellow-liberals agreed that putting homosexual unions on an equal footing with heterosexual marriages was a contract too far, even for them. In the intervening years the pressure from the leftist homosexual community has become increasingly aggressive — witness the ugly attacks against Chick-Fil-A, some of which were literally in-your-face abusive and bullying.

But that is beside the point of the fact that many black voters were and are offended at Obama’s transparent bowing to pressure. They rightly claim he did it simply to gain access to the purse strings of this bloc of gay voters. They had let him know that their purses were closed until he opened his mouth and came out against DOMA.

The black middle class in this country gets no attention from the press — normal folks are boring. If you don’t live amongst or near these folks, you’ll never learn the reality. Instead, the media’s attention is focused on the smaller number of the black criminal underclass. Our jornolists collude with Race Grievance Mongers like Al Sharpton, who make their living by stoking the fires of resentment. The millions who make no trouble are ignored in favor of an obsessive fascination with criminals and degenerates, especially black criminals. That’s the real root of racism in the media: glorifying the lawbreakers by reporting their transgressions in great gory detail while they ignore the humdrum reality of my law-abiding, productive neighbors.

No, I am not saying that the inner city black underclass is not a threat to our stability. It certainly is. But that threat is solidified and made more of a menace than it might be otherwise by the cacophonous attention of the press. They magnify incidents like the black woman demanding her “Obama phone” while ignoring folks such as these black pastors who spoke out against Obama’s cynical posture.

It is time for an accounting, both by Obama and by his enablers in the press.

As everybody knows by now, it was announced earlier this month that this year’s Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded to none other than the European Union.

This can only further burnish the luster added to the Prize when it was presented to Barack Hussein Obama back in 2009.

Both these momentous occasions were simply the latest in a long series of distinguished recipients, who include Al Gore (2007), Mohamed El-Baradei (2005), Jimmy Carter (2002), Amnesty International (1977), the United Nations and Kofi Annan (2001), Yasser Arafat (1994), Desmond Tutu (1984), and International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (1985).

“But Baron,” you say, “none of this is news! Everyone knows the Nobel Peace Prize jumped the shark decades ago. Why, it’s become a dumping ground for progressive political hacks — as designated by progressive political hacks in Norway!”

And indeed it has. But let’s not give up on the much-maligned Prize just yet.

Suffice it to say that she and I had a very interesting talk, one that took us back to my childhood in Iran and how my thinking about Islam was influenced by the Islamic revolution of 1979. We also discussed the my discovery of Aisha’s “marriage” to Mohammed — which did not yet jump-start my quest for knowledge; that had to wait until later — and how it came about that I would devote most of my day to explaining the dangers of Islamic doctrine to those willing to listen.

In addition, I talked about why, in the wake of so many obstacles, I have not given up or stopped.

I am humbled to be part of such a prestigious and brave group of warriors devoted to the protection of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, of women’s rights, of equality, yes, even the freedom to reject Sharia law in our societies.

• Monday, Oct 15: Robert Spencer of JihadWatch. I don’t think I need to say anything more in the way of introduction. He’s most likely the most famous person speaking out against Islamism.
• Tuesday, Oct 16: Valerie Price, an unlikely counter-jihadi — with a long career as an interior decorator — and a breast cancer survivor, who recently became one of the stars of Beauty and the Breast.
• Wednesday, Oct 17: Gavin Boby, a British lawyer who has been instrumental in helping poor neighbourhoods resist planning applications for mosques. So far they’ve won 14 of the 15 cases.
• Thursday, Oct 18: Aruna Papp, who has been involved, for over 20 years, in helping women escape from honor-based violence — prevalent in many cultures.
• Two people on Friday: Vince Lombardi, instrumental in Elsa’s own journey. She began posting pieces on Islam soon after the massive Muslim response to the Danish cartoon. At the time she knew nothing about Islam, except that it claimed to be a religion of peace. What comes next? Listen to the interview.
