An Italian oil tanker and its six captive crew members were released by Somali pirates after being held for almost ten months. However, the European Naval Force in the area says that 200 hostages are still being held by pirates in Somalia.
In other news, the interim government in Libya says that it will put the late Muammar Qaddafi’s son Saif on trial next week. Next door in Tunisia, three important ministries — Interior, Foreign, and Justice — were granted to the Islamist party Ennahdha.
