President Obama has ordered Libyan dictator Col. Muammar Ghaddafi to cease his attacks on
members of the Muslim Brotherhood innocent civilians, or face collective punishment as authorized by the United Nations and executed by the joint efforts of NATO military forces. The Colonel has promised a ceasefire, but some reports indicate that the advance of his troops on the rebel stronghold of Benghazi continues unabated.
In other news, Japanese emergency workers are close to restoring power to two of the stricken nuclear reactors at the Fukushima complex, and may be able to restart the pumps of their cooling systems. A radioactive plume has reportedly reached the west coast of North America, but the amount of radiation in it is negligible.
Meanwhile, security forces in Yemen opened fire on protesters and killed at least thirty of them.
