Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/2/2010As three Air Force planes were returning from a night training flight to Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma, they were targeted by a ground-based laser beam which originated with either a laser pointer or a laser rifle scope. Although lasers can potentially do serious eye damage, all six pilots escaped injury. Vance officials believe that the incident was accidental and not malicious.
