Now that they have promised a bailout, France and Germany are talking tough to Greece, insisting that it must extend its already stringent austerity measures and reform its fiscal system. The German foreign minister has gone so far as to suggest that no German money may be forthcoming if the Greeks fail to toe the line.
In other news, Iran has struck a deal with Robert Mugabe to exploit Zimbabwe’s untapped uranium for its nuclear program. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia — obviously nervous over the imminence of all those nukes just across the Persian Gulf — has indicated that it will begin its own nuclear program.
