We’ve reported on the misuse of voting proxies by the PvdA in the municipal elections in Rotterdam. Now Leefbar Rotterdam — the party founded by Pim Fortuyn — is being investigated for the same type of illegal practice.
In other news, the Greek crisis continues, with a new general strike paralyzing the country in protest of the government’s proposed austerity program. Public and private sector unions — including those representing the police and the emergency services — have joined together to shut the country down, and many public buildings are still occupied by protestors.
