Members of the English Defence League who have been imprisoned for minor offenses are being exposed to beatings and other violent abuse at the hands of radical Islamists imprisoned with them. Perhaps the EDL/SDL can offer some pointers to Daniel Hannan in preparation:
British Tea Party Movement to launch on Saturday.
This “british tea party” thing is not going to succeed, I can tell you that right now. It’s politically motivated; by that I mean it’s being directed from the top down to try and emulate the appearance of the tea parties without understanding what actually drives them. Elsewhere I’ve referred to it as “cargo cult politics” because that’s all it really is – politicians here seeing a movement in the US and trying to recreate it without understanding what made it happen.
It will fail.
